Are there any people from Yea Forums that were around when Half Life was first released? That must have been an incredible experience, given how unique the game was and all the things that it spawned with its subsequent releases.
I wish I could've been a part of the generation that grew up with this game getting released and then playing Half Life 2 followed by the early versions of the other Valve games like Counter Strike and TF2 or the modding scene on Gmod

I first played it when it was a decade old and it blew my fucking mind. Even after playing games with better graphics and more cinematics, no other game felt as impressive as this. I think it might still be the best game ever made.

I remember the game was incredible for the animated cutcenes and how they were integrated in the game.
At the same time there was a lot of people complaining it was a "movie game" and you spent your time watching scripted cutscenes lol
