DaS1
>There are some RPG rules to this action game, although we rushed it and it's unbalanced
DaS2
>There's even more RPG rules into this game, but this balance was hard to make and got too over the head of the common denominator player
DaS3
>We pretend this has RPG rules or rules at all, but actually we kinda just slapped everything together and the LVL graph is just a .txt

Sekiro
>We pretend our enemy designs can hold up as a stand alone game even though all we did was turn enemy tracking up to 11 and make parrying the only viable way to defense

Yes exactly

Sekiro
>We didn't even pretended, lol fuck you

*reads ur inputs*

The way some mini bosses literally flip and contort in the air in order to track you is absolutely hilarious. How does anyone take this shit seriously when you have a human being doing and upside down spinning bird kick in the tracking all your dodges on the way down.

Shouldn't you be spamming the board with Cyberpunk threads?

Armored Core VI never ever

>if you didn't like DaS2 you're dumb and just didn't GET it

That does make it more challenging, though.

A game where every enemy kills you in one shot is "challenging", doesn't mean it's a well designed concept. This is literally what From does. When they want a "challenging" enemy or boss they just crank up the tracking up to insane levels.

Will the salty casual tears EVER stop flowing?

Well, yeah, those are things that determine how challenging an enemy is. You're just saying, "They do this to make it more challenging and that's bad because I say so," but I can just say that for whatever you would argue is a better alternative -- not that you'd provide one without me goading you, of course.

If they regenerated, you'd say, "That's not challenging, he just regenerates."
If he had super armor, you'd say, "That's not challenging, he just has super armor."
If he never stopped attacking, you'd say, "That's not challenging, he just never stops attacking."
If he had difficult to read attacks, you'd say, "That's not challenging, he just has difficult to read attacks."

They already have, considering people stopped talking about sekiro two weeks after it came out.

because they couldn't clear it.
And they are the same people who cried on fucking Anjanath for being "too hard" lmfao

barely any enemies in any of the souls games even have tight tracking or one shot you even at base HP

nioh on the otherhand pretty much every casual's complaint is stuffed in here and tuned up 100%

Sekiro becomes a joke once you find all the weapon upgrades hidden in the maps.
Most people dont even bother doing that and attempt the last boss with +4 or +6
There is absolutely no challenge in doing the bosses with +16 or more

But Sekiro isn't hard, nor is it long. I literally beat it the day before it came out. It's not a big accomplishment to beat the easiest souls game.

Speaking of Sekiro, which ending should I aim for?

That's correct, though
>WAAAAAH I WANT IFRAMES AT THE START MOMMY WAAAAAAH
ADP was the best thing to happen to souls

>adds shockwaves
nothing personnel kid

The normal 'good' end is a pretty decent one to start off with. I forget what it's called, but just break the code when you can without doing any of the extra mumbo jumbo.

All of those are less worse than auto tracking. Ninja Gaiden Black is an incredibly hard game, yet you will find absolutely no enemy tracking in the game anywhere near From Software levels.

*charges up attack while looking away from you then does a 1 frame 180 turn and kills you*

I dropped Sekiro after getting to some spinning ninja guy in the area you start the game from. I honestly have no desire to improve at a game that is boiled down to pressing block at the right moment while some guy tracks you from a room away with his attacks. It's not even satisfying. The general midbosses are the only enemies I genuinely enjoyed fighting. The way the Periless Attacks are implemented just fucks with me too much and I can't get used to it. I don't know why they thought it fine to have a giant red glowing letter cover the first half of their start up animation instead of doing something more subtle like a glowing weapon or making the weapon shine. Sekiro is like someone at From played Metal Gear Rising's final difficulty and said "the whole game should be like this".

>"quick we need to make a """"CHALLENGING""" enemy or boss in our games"
>"say no more"
>Makes the movement total fucking arse in a game where movement is key

Anyone that complains about tracking has
>shit reflexes
>inability to parry
>no game sense
All this on top of getting filtered by the ogre.

And thus Medusa Head was born

Das2
>we added some RPG shit to this game but downgraded or outright broke everything else in the process

From is literally the only dev that relies on obscene tracking for difficulty in their games

Don't you mean the entire Soulsborne franchise was born? People tell me the games are good when the movement is absolute dogshit, especially for gameplay that requires GOOD MOVEMENT to actually work.

What's wrong with it? The only way it would be a real problem is if you cannot dodge or have shit parry timing, which even people that play enough video games and are bad at these things can use game sense to compensate

>he thinks "tracking" is a stat
Fucking kids these days

TWO WEEKS AFTER IT COMES OUT YOU FUCKING RETARDS STOP USING THIS AS A FUCKING METRIC IT JUST PROVES ALL YOU FUCKING DO IS BROWSE Yea Forums INSTEAD OF ACTIVELY PLAYING FUCKING VIDEO GAMES. THIS IS A FACT OF THE FUCKING UNIVERSE, IF IT DOESN'T HAVE INFINITE CONTENT OR SOME GAFFE GOING ON THERE'S NOTHING TO FUCKING TALK ABOUT. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SOME OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FUCKING GAMES THIS YEAR ARE ALL FLOPS BECAUSE NOBODY IN SATAN'S ASSHOLE IS FRANTICALLY SPAMMING SHITPOSTING THREADS ABOUT IT THREE MONTHS AFTER EVERYBODY ALREADY PLAYED IT. GO PLAY SOME FUCKING GARBAGE ASS MULTIPLAYER ONLY TRASH IF YOU WANT INFINITE DISCUSSION. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST YOU CAN'T DISCUSS THE GREATEST WORKS OF ART THE HUMAN RACE HAS EVER PRODUCED FOR MORE THAN TWO WEEKS BUT SOMEHOW EVERY SINGLE FUCKING VIDEO GAME LIVES OR DIES (in this user's head) BY THE METRIC OF HOW LONG YOU DICKLESS ROACHES CAN FUCKING BAIT EACH OTHER INTO SHITPOSTING OVER IT.
IT ISN'T EVEN VAGUELY FUCKING TRUE EVEN IF THOSE METRICS DO APPLY BECAUSE WE HAVE THREADS ABOUT SEKIRO EVERY FUCKING DAY AND EVERY FUCKING DAY WE HAVE PEOPLE IGNORING THOSE THREAD'S EXISTENCE AND SAYING THAT THIS GAME DOESN'T GET ANY THREADS. GO FUCK YOURSELF, YOU ENEMY OF REALITY AND TRUTH.

Why do you lie? What is even the point.

>Soul memory

The game was cracked a full day before it officially came out on steam. But you'd know that if you didn't start browsing last week.

>He thinks there isn't a numeric limiter on how fast enemies can track.
You're never gonna make it.

Why would it be a number

>ITT Summerfags are nothing but a bunch of filtered scrubs

It's an utterly cheap way to increase difficulty. It's completely artificial and looks absolutely stupid while it's happening.

>completely artificial

Attached: 1424846396765.png (272x348, 187K)

>Let's make the boss challenging
>The challenge is that the boss obeys no game rules, everything is random, hitboxes are fucked, can't be parried or poisoned or any status can be applied, does whatever it wants whenever it wants, has no stamina or poise, dodge or die

But WAIT A SECOND, you didn't spec into a dodge focused character with stamina only? YOU ACTIVATED FROMSOFT DAS3 TRAP CARD

you're fucked and that was your fault

They tried measuring things with cookies and non euclidean concepts, it didn't work.

But numbers are fine.

>how come I can't stand still holding a button to beat the game
>fucking shitty piece of trash how dare they ARTIFICIAL ARTIFICIAL DIFFICULTY AAAA

Attached: 128694790876.jpg (700x800, 422K)

>Hehe you thought you dodged? Allow me to completely defy the laws of gravity and inertia to zig zag my way over to you

The way From has designed their general combat system this seems to be the only way they can actually "difficult" enemies. Nevermind how absolutely silly it looks sometimes.

>an artificial experience with no real basis in reality is artificial

>hitboxes are fucked
>DS3
Fuck off retard

Just made this for the thread

Attached: tracking in DAS3.jpg (600x349, 202K)

Sekiro is the only good from game

you guys are shitting on enemy tracking but there are better reasons to poop on sekiro. The bosses are hard in a way that is pretty fun if you parry properly and know when to dodge. I have no issue with their tracking or anything else to do with how they move.

What i have issues with is how some of the intended game mechanics just don't fucking work. That red symbol that pops up to let you know "hey, special unblockable attack coming, press B to dodge to step on their blade or whatever". It just decides to not fucking work sometimes. Or a move that you've dodged 20+ times before flawlessly will suddenly clip you for some odd reason even though you did the same dodge.

OR FUCKING BUTTON INPUTS DO NOTHING 10% OF THE TIME FOR NO REASON. Sekiro isn't anywhere near as good as the souls games, but not because of the enemy's ability to track you. Even with that it's still got a more solid combat system than just about anything else out there. It's just that a lot of the shit they planned to be core fighting mechanics don't fucking work sometimes for no reason. That type of shit never ever happened with the souls games. They were consistent. If you did it right it would work. Sekiro just sometimes is like "hah you did it right but fuck you gayboy" as your character gets hit in the face with a log of poo from a 15ft tall monkey.

>press B to dodge to step on their blade or whatever". It just decides to not fucking work sometimes
OR the better explanation which is you moving while doing it which makes it so the ability doesn't work, something that you learn through playing the game
>dodge
The game is not made with dodging in mind, the invincibility frames you get from dodging makes it almost impossible to play it that way.
>OR FUCKING BUTTON INPUTS DO NOTHING 10% OF THE TIME FOR NO REASON.
I would bet 1000$ that you just don't know how queued actions work and that's why this makes you mad.

Sounds like a pretty organic way to increase difficulty to me retard. How would go about it? Increase their health or make them faster?

Attached: DAS3 BULLSHIT TRACKING.jpg (768x590, 749K)

You know you have to deflect/dodge into thrust attacks and dodge/jump over sweep attacks, right?
And your vague complaints about "shit just not working" are pretty pointless

>A-AT LEAST DAS2 WASN'T DAS3!!!
