Two AAs that last 20-30 hours are infinitely better than the DualShock 4's abysmal battery life. Neither are ideal (especially when controllers like the Wii U and Switch pro controllers exist), but I would much rather grab a couple of AAs out of the drawer once every month or two than be tethered to the wall or console every three or four hours.

if they somehow could get the same internal battery that the wii u pro/switch pro has, great. but i bought a bunch of eneloops for cheap. i personally prefer easy swap of those over recharging. the ps4's controller battery is trash. i did have the xbox rechargable which was like 15-20 hours but it's dead after a few years now.

I feel like I'm the only one who's never had a problem with my elite controller, and I got it when it first released. The sticks are worn smooth on the top now, and a little bit of the silver paint is flaking around the USB port, but it's still mechanically sound. From what I've read I guess I just got extremely lucky. I also didn't pay full price, traded a bunch of junk and got it for $85. I feel like these things shouldn't be priced more than $100.
