I disagree with the board. I think the only one who shouldn't be allowed to work in the remake are the ones who played the original. You can look at every fandom across all forms of media, the fandom is always a corruption of the canon. Nothing stays the same and the interpretations are almost always completely wrong. It's better to have people who have never played, because it's easier for them to defer to senior developers who actually worked on the original.
