I had a very "meh" reaction too it. My thought in that moment was basically "yeah it's Banjo", but it didn't mean much to me because I've never played the games. I was always a DK64fag growing up. But even I know what a fucking jiggy is.

Despite having loved B&K as a kid, my only reaction to Banjo being in is mild elation. It's not one of those games that I continued to fawn over into adult life for whatever reason, and I thought the trailer reuse was kinda meh even if it was a Rare celebration, but I'm definitely happy the bear and bird made it. I think they deserve it more than some other picks people have been spitballing around.

Now, the K. Rool trailer is a different story. The exact attosecond I realized it was a DK trailer I went absolutely apeshit
