WW sucked.

I thought it was pretty fun

Who is best girl for Link and why is it Marin?

Attached: Marink.png (480x432, 7K)

how is Minish Cap generally regarded by Zelda fans?

Midna exists and will always be the best girl for link

It's Midna and Malon and Marin. Basically if you have a five letter name that starts with M, you will be the best girl of that game and the best girl for Link. Through some differences will apply like Mipha who like Zelda was a pretty shit character.

I've only finished it once and sometimes forget it exists. Thanks for reminding me though. I will play it again soon.

Lets get comfy.

Attached: E8D536EE-6A60-4E0E-93E2-F06CD79A7365.jpg (741x679, 147K)

Lets try and match up actual things on this map with prior games, we can make some assumptions based on the time that has passed or general geography changes, such as places freezing, or forests being cut down or regrowing.

It's the only good Toon Zelda game.

How did Link handle being around Minda all the time? My poor heart couldn't take it

>five letter name that starts with M
Do they do this on purpose?

Attached: midna___189_1983844994.jpg (381x522, 51K)

I was actually planning on discussing the games in this thread, but I guess I can jack off real quick.

You mean compare the BotW map to what we can see in the new trailer? I'm game

Ruto and Mipha are the best girls

Sure user. Have fun. Come talk to us about Zelda after you clean up

>How did Link handle being around Minda all the time?
Big dick energy

I think it's a reference to Mario. Plus red heads are at top of the waifu chain.

Will do.

It's absolutely terrific, but it's kind of a but shorter than all the others which is a real shame.

Mipha was fantastic she just had a bad voice actor

Link is too feminine to have big dick energy

They should have Link and Zelda just fuck already regardless of whether or not they are closely genetically related. They can just use protection so problem solved.

Chances are they are distantly related meaning third cousins at the closest and they are familial reincarnations (blood-related rebirth) of the previous Links and Zeldas.

Link deserves his reward from his bottom bitch already.

Important opinions incoming
>Minish Cap and Cadence are the best 2D Zeldas
>Twilight Princess and Majoras Mask are the best 3D Zeldas for entirely different reasons.
>A Zelda game should be either an upbeat, fast experience like Four Swords or a slw rolling, plot heavy quest such as BOTW or Wind Waker
>the best way to look at the series is as if there are no bad games. Even the cei games have broughtn unmistakable joy to billions

Only if you're an androgynous fag like
BotW Link

Attached: TP Link vs Darknuts.jpg (2000x2750, 821K)

He's too good for her desu. Zelda would be fucking lost without him and she knows it.

I mean I think it would be interesting to play as the direct offspring of Link and Zelda in a game. Then you could have Old man Link in the background teaching his son how to be a hero. Oh and Link jr could have the Triforce of courage and Wisdom

Link and Mario have had rough lives in that regard

Attached: a49dff4dcc6259e825d0acb34eeaacdc.jpg (1100x779, 116K)

>I mean I think it would be interesting to play as the direct offspring of Link and Zelda in a game.
Boring, I'd rather play as the offspring of Midna and Link instead for the sick Twili magic, badass sword skills and as a fuck you to Hylia.

Attached: Twili Link.jpg (87x125, 2K)

What is this? A Link for bottled bugs?

How fun would her characterization be if LA were a modern release?
I always imagine she'd be kinda like Malon but also close to Midna-levels of playful. Always thought she was really funny during that dating sequence

Is the BotW DLC worth it? I started playing it last week. I love how it doesn't mind me doing things the "wrong" way like entering Hyrule Castle with only 5 hearts to get a shitload of strong weapons.

Attached: 1558169030168.jpg (936x1224, 178K)

All done.
Entering the Castle early on a "scouting mission" to gather a bunch of loot while stealthing around was ridiculously fun on my first playthrough.

How do you feel about Medli?

Attached: medliawakens.jpg (535x432, 54K)

>Inherits Midna's snarky attitude and Link's hidden soft side for animals and children
>Strong af physically and magically
NINTENDO

Romani

>to get a shitload of strong weapons

That break in 3 hits. Seriously I hope they fuck off with that durability shit in the sequel.

I haven't played the DLC myself though. I would also like to know as I would like to replay BotW soon with the DLC

Attached: 6e147eeff3f1c960c5041eed307837c7.jpg (827x1169, 135K)

She is cute and has a lot of fanart that focus on her butt.

9/10

I think this is what you wanted. Temple of Time screws things up, otherwise things actually match up relatively well with where they are supposed to be given that Hyrule is never the same size due to game limitations.

Also you have to assume that some maps are rotated in some areas, especially when it comes to the Master Sword's facing direction and Temple of Time.

Attached: botw to oot map.jpg (5139x2889, 2.89M)

>All done

Welcome back. Now tell us what your favorite dungeon reward in the series is.

Attached: 2a51ce95b4b9c475a45a82d64a592b89.png (1517x1552, 1.7M)

>getting strong weapons early
what's the point? they'll all be broken in 5 fights anyway

You sort of have this in ALBW, ALttP Link is there and he does teach you stuff, he's also the enemy capable in the series of dealing the most damage.
At this point the chances of them being that closely related are pretty slim.

I wonder where Holodrum and labrynna would be on that map

>dungeon reward
Item? Or reward for actually doing a dungeon?
I love Revali's Gale.
Running around in a difficult area early on is it's own reward. Going to the castle is just really fun.

>has a kingdom to cheer him on
>will inherit his mother's and father's eventual height meaning he will become a skilled b-ball player
>runes attract attention meaning Chad gets the girls once again

They're canonically to the East of Hyrule. BotW messes a lot up with the map actually, especially MC as the Minish Woods are above Mt. Crenel, the Royal Valley is to the West of Mt. Crenel, Trilby Plains are in the same location.

It's especially hard to tell with the 2D games because they have such hard breaks sometimes in their environments.

The DLC is OKAY. It's just more of the same stuff from the main game. More shrines, memories and a new divine beast with an admittedly great final boss and a fun trial cave of ordeals style section. Other than that, if you weren't a fan of the main content cycle, or were tired of shrines by the end you won't like it.

>will become a skilled b-ball player

What's the Hyrule equivalent of Basketball?

Really though, what where the fucking Sheikahs experimenting on Ganondorf down there?

Attached: HyruleCastleLab.jpg (600x310, 237K)

Oh shit user, you have 1 (ONE) second to name your favorite Zelda game or you'll be assravaged by a bunch of Deku rapists

For me, Its Oracle of Ages; The best Zelda game.

Attached: zelda_montage.png (1350x975, 1.27M)

The Trials section is separate from the new divine beast and is found in the lost woods by inserting the master sword into the pedestal, I should add.

The DLC adds the most challenging content in the game, if that's your cup of tea. Completing all he Master Trials permanently puts the Master Sword in an awakened state, which makes a lot of other weapons redundant, and some people consider that a double-edged sword.

There's also a hard mode where the enemies are stronger and regenerate.

The Champion's Ballad gives you increased-difficulty mini-dungeon trials and as a reward reduces the cooldown for your Champion abilities, which is handy for both exploration and combat, and gives you a nice backstory moment with them. Also a bike.

Also fanservice costumes/armor that you have to do sidequests to find.

I got it cause I was craving more Zelda at the time, but it's not vital. Basically, if you really want to enhance subsequent playthroughs, I'd say go for it.

Rollgoal

Studying how to breed Hylian women into giant muscular amazons.

I love Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild. I know that seems contradictory.

Twilight Princess, and fuck all the haters.

Could never beat the part in ww where you're in the fortress kept getting caught. Tried at age 9- release, 16, 19, and at 23 still got caught. absolutely refuse to goto gamecheats and read the walkthrough. Am i retarded or am I overcomplicating it?

BotW (WW was prior).

It mostly comes down to if you're bored of shrines or not. If you crave more shrines and such you'll like it. If not, then we'll....watch a YouTube video or something. The final boss of the DLC seems to be the only agreed upon bright spot of the DLC, and I guess the trials too.

MM and TP with BotW coming in 3rd.
For 2D, I like the Oracles and Minish Cap.

3D: OoT
2D: LA

OoT >/= MM > ALttP > LA > ALBW > BotW > WW > Seasons/Ages > Minish Cap > LoZ > AoL > TP > SS > ST/ PH

Forgot to add, the only Zelda I'd rate below a 7 is SS, ST, and PH.

Read basketball as baseball, my bad.

That one bomb mini game in Clock Town.

I can't choose between Wind Waker, TP and BotW. Please don't rape m

Attached: 1553469348146.jpg (452x590, 74K)

Every 3D Zelda game has vocal haters user.

Twilight Princess. Year after year it gets confirmed. WW is a second, and OoT follows.

Wind Waker followed by Twilight Princess

I feel bad for Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. Those are probably the least discussed games in the series

Always thought TP Zelda was the most gorgeous she's ever looked.

Still a B tier game in my eyes. Solid 8/10. Only Zelda games I rate poorly is SS (6/10), and PH/ST(both 5-6/10).

BotW.
It also has my favorite Zelda.
So I'm absolutely ecstatic we get a sequel, I didn't in my wildest dreams think we'd get one. I was so overjoyed my onions gape almost dislocated my jaw.

I guess Hyrule's more into golf and tennis then.

The train gimmick with Spirit Tracks was annoying rather than fun, and I don't mind the central dungeon for PH as much as some people.

3D: majora's Mask
2D: Links Awakening

I WANNA FUCK MIDNA

Attached: 1535883416061.png (909x763, 516K)

I'll add some slight more to this, but I'm too lazy to actually label the map.

Lanayru Wetlands are the Castor Wilds. Military Training Camp/Minish Woods are the Cemetery from LoZ. 1st Dungeon is Tarrey Town. Lomei Labryinth is the Island Palace in AoL. Saria Village is Typhlo Ruins.

I could go on, but a lot of it you have to have some stretch of the imagination based on geography and what things likely are to some extent. WW doesn't match up at all in reality, well it does with OoT, TP, SS, etc. Really BotW kinda fucks a lot of the locations up, so you have to make some hard assumptions. Rito/Korok Villages are huge fuck ups geographically in BotW.

Majora's Mask or Hyrule Warriors

Explain how Rito and Zora exist at the same time in BotW

Protip You can't

Same here. I would love to see what they could do for that design today

Because it's the worst game

>You can't
Aonuma hates the Legend of Zelda.

Either it's an intermediate period of evolution as the Gods and Goddesses know the world is doomed to be flooded and thus placing it in the Adult Timeline, or its a timeline convergence, which given the nature of the game is the most likely, since there is no concrete proof of any of the timelines right now. It could potentially be a 4th Timeline (as there are actually more than 3). If time loops and paradoxes help to create more timelines as shown in OoT, then SS and OoA also create more, which one likely leads to the HW timeline, which it itself creates even more.

Because Eiji and the Zelda team realized the truth: the timeline was a mistake, so they're just gonna do whatever the heck they want with no regard to canon.

Attached: 1560711658433.gif (400x300, 600K)

Well I wanna commit a crime

Attached: image.jpg (443x249, 30K)

The Rito in BotW evolved from the Fokka while the ones in WW are magically transformed Zora. That's also why the Botw Rito have normal beaks and the WW Rito only have beak noses.

>1 second apart

Attached: 3df630a5032bb1748d58d967b489c3cb.jpg (696x1014, 285K)

which race has the better women: rito or zora?

ZORA EASILY

>the timeline was a mistake
Just get rid of Wind Waker and the flood of Toon Zelda games that came after it. The timeline is so fucked up because of them.

TP's remake introduced Ritos to an older lore, as they were depicted on the walls of the Temple of Time. The Temple may be linked to other timelines as well.

did Link and Midna ever fuck on the way to the Mirror after beating Ganondorf?

I'm biased towards Zora due to some erotic fiction I read about them when I was young.

>Fokka
Deepest

Zora definitely

Just retcon it so every Zelda is a separate universe except for the direct sequels like PH and BOTW2. Instantly fix all continuity errors when there is no continuity.

Zora have more human faces, so by default them.

I fucking hate the art style, I think I'm the only one that still does.

It has a pretty strong first half(except the intro, whose fucking bright idea was it for the very first section after the intro tutorial to be a forced stealth section?), and then it falls off a fucking cliff. You can physically feel when they ran out of development time. The whole Triforce piece quest is only there to pad out game time, because at that point you've run out of content but the game is only about 3/5ths of an average Zelda's length by then.
The Great Sea is pointlessly big and empty and is a terrible replacement for the overworld. Funny how Skyward Sword copied it and had the exact same problem.

>TP's remake
TP never got a remake I fucking wish it did tho it was just a HD remaster.

Zora's have the best women in all of Hyrule

Attached: ruto3.jpg (800x450, 82K)

how do i get a cute zelda gf?

BotW sucked.

Most people only hated it because it when to cartoony rather than dark/realistic but we still got TP. Why do you still hate it?

TP Zelda is stunning.
I also remember being smitten with Melee Zelda when it came out.

I like her polished OOT look they did there--the style is a bit different from what Hylians look like in modern releases. I feel like they went for a more "traditional" elven beauty back then.

Attached: melee_r1_250.gif (250x253, 310K)

Yeah, have you met their son, Mink?

Wind waker rito are more human though

>retcon it so every Zelda is a separate universe except for the direct sequels
I'm okay with OoT > MM > TP and ALTTP > LA.

Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening were some of my favorite Zeldas because you weren't some whipping boy being told what to do by Zelda, which dragged down my experience of BOTW, among many other Zelda games. I like saving the world just for the sake of it, I don't need some slut telling me that it's my destiny, and I hope that I can beat Zelda over the head with a bat in BOTW 2, so I don't have to listen to her british/welsh accent.

>bloody 'ell link you need to save the world because ah'm too lazy of a minge to do anything besides nag and complain wot wot

Attached: 4c1.png (300x300, 135K)

BoTW2 is about how Ganondorf used to be the successor of Link as the hero of Hyrule and somehow got corrupted/mislead by Ganon into doing his bidding, resulting in him getting shunned by everyone, even the Gerudo.

It looks so childish, I can't take it seriously at all. I like TP's style, but BOTW did cellshaded graphics better than WW

>Why do you still hate it?
Because the rest of the game is a slog once you take out the art style.

Actually the timeline is fucked up because of OoT, because you have to assume that at some point (ie: the first time Link canonically has to put the Master Sword back) the Hero of Time splits the timeline, and creates a concurrent timeline with his own, a Young HoT existing and an Adult HoT existing. Because of this, it allows the assumption that rather than a technical paradoxical loop, they're actually teaching their alternate selves the Song of Storms, which creates an influx of issues. One of them is bound to fail or else you have two timelines that are exactly the same, and therefore will split into two separate same adult timelines too.

The Hero of Time effectively broke time so bad that he was forced to doom a variant of himself just to not fuck it any further. Wind Waker doesn't actually hurt anything timeline wise. The actual assumption is that Hyrule will become flooded eventually over time. Look at the Downfall Timeline as well and LoZ/AoL. It's a natural progression, hell look at FSA, water surrounds all of Hyrule when it seemingly hadn't before.

Androgynous Link was a conscious decision by Aonuma since OoT to make Link "look gender neutral" so that anyone could self-insert as him.
With TP they decided to make him more manly, but then chickened out and made him androgynous too, still resulting in the manliest Link in the series. After that, Aonuma went full force with androgynizing him again, to the point that he is now a femboy twink icon with BotW's and Triforce Heroes' Links.

I don't mind so much, I think both aesthetics have their perks, but now the main reason people like Link is because they wanna fuck him.

Attached: 1556338761823.jpg (712x1200, 647K)

But TP is completely different from OoT. It goes OoT > MM > WW > PH > ST. It's literally the only "timeline."

>more cranium, more strength

Attached: el hermano.jpg (1280x720, 62K)

>there is no continuity
LoZ, AoL, ALttP, OoT, TP, and MM are all directly connected and made as sequels to each other. SS and MC are both made as prequels, technically they contradict each other, but they are made as prequels. WW is made as a timeline sequel on purpose.

You can't just make them separate universes, which by the way is what a timeline is, it is a separate universe with a diverging point.

Midna got the fuck out of Hyrule once she got the Link Seed so Hylia wouldn't divine intervention her with a miscarriage.

TP literally has the Hero of Time in it and direct references to OoT.

Just as ALttP was made as a prequel to LoZ/AoL, and OoT to ALttP. You can't just break the games up like that.

A Link to the Past is still my favorite, Majora's Mask a close second.
I adored BotW and ALBW though.

>But TP is completely different from OoT.
Nigga, they send OoT Link back exactly to the moment he first meets Zelda and they spy on Ganondorf.

>t goes OoT > MM > WW > PH > ST. It's literally the only "timeline."
I don't even know how the fuck you came to that conclusion.

>a girl associated with cattle is buxom, because milk
It's dumb, but god I love this trope. I know it's mostly just fanart though.

Chads can handle their women and brush off their bants.

I've had a thing for women with weird skin colors lately. Like the Zora or Sexy Gruntilda.

They'd better have

I feel we should hear more about other kingdoms, with their ruler and shit

I'd like to see what is the France equivalent in Zelda.

>It's dumb, but god I love this trope

I know what you mean

Attached: 3f3984fc5b1e99427efb3484dfe5196c.jpg (1247x1695, 741K)

Yup. It's been tens of thousands of years worth of lineage. There's no way in hell they aren't as genetically different as any other person.
The only things that are preserved by this point, are their ever reincarnating souls.

Technically we only have 5 Kingdoms. Hyrule, Gerudo (its not technically part of the Hylian Kingdom, just Hyrule), Labrynna, Holodrum, and PH's Hyrule. Well 6 if you wanna count Lorule as well.

For all we know there could be nothing to the west or south of Hyrule.

That would be too soulful.

How do you feel about fairies?
They're a sentient race that hasn't really been expanded on much, aside from being used as items, upgrades, or companions.
I'd be into learning about their societies, hierarchy, culture, etc.
Also what if Link got a Minish Cap-esque shrinking ability and you got a cute fairy companion you could interact with shrunk down to her size

Attached: Fairy_-_The_Legend_of_Zelda_A_Link_to_the_Past.png (389x500, 148K)

It's likely Labrynna. Gerudo is a mixture of Spain and the Middle East. Termina is Romania, especially with their festivals, dancing, gypsies, and general oddities.

Attached: oot.jpg (640x480, 34K)

>only three kingdoms have been shown in the Zelda series that aren't parallel worlds
>only appear in their respective games (Oracles and TFH)
>only two (Holodrum and Labrynna) are even mentioned outside of the games they appear in
>not a single sign of them outside of that
depressing

Attached: #1 dad.png (324x352, 120K)

Shieet, I always pictured Hyrule as the Holy Roman Empire, Lorule as their Hungarian counterpart and the Ikana as the Byzantines. Ordona Province as the South Eastern Europe.

Fairies are likely AI designed to server the Gods. For instance notice Fi's design with the design of Fairies in WW, hell the Fairy of Winds resides in the Gale Boomerange (also has a diamond function) like the Master Sword.

Fi is likely a Fairy, which makes all Fairies really AI. You have statues of Hylia in Fairy Fountains, constant use of Crystals/Diamonds when it comes to all of them (even Girahim), the fact that any item they give you has some random God like power to it (Din's Fire for instance), etc.

They're tech creations, which is likely what was given to the Sheikah as well.

>Ordona Province as the South Eastern Europe.
Southeastern Europe because theres's a shitload of mountains in the distance and the Ordonians look like the farming type.

Hyrule is a mixture of a lot of things, England, Rome, etc. Lorule is more like "What if these places had fallen to the Black Plague/Justinian Plague truly?" Termina is even named similar to Romania, and even has Romani. Termina is based off a lot of stuff itself, but it's primarily Romania, Ikana likely being closer to say Turkey or Ukraine.

>What if these places had fallen to the Black Plague/Justinian Plague truly?"
Just like Hungary. Not joke back then that place killed a shitload of people because it was a hotbed for disease.

>Ikana likely being closer to say Turkey
Which is why is said the Byzantines. The Ottomans were proclaimed by the Greeks as the next Romans.

>implying Hyrule is a what-if medieval north america
>gerudo is arizona/new mexico/texas/mexico
>hebra is alberta/alaska/bc
>death mountain is yellow stone
>faron is the south/forests/farmers/etc.
>zora's domain is dc another kingdom with a king
>hyrule castle is the midwest/open fields/weird pompous attitudes/bible belt

That's an interesting theory, but most of them have personality and act with autonomy. Tatl and Tael in particular don't act as though they were created with some grand purpose, they just kind of are.

>With TP they decided to make him more manly, but then chickened out and made him androgynous too,
Proto-TP Link would scare away the potential onion buyers. I mean just look at him.

Attached: TP Link Old designs.jpg (669x900, 87K)

What the fuck, how can Stone Tower Temple's BGM radiate so much SOUL?

>No game with current Link and Hero of Twilight and Midna's descendant as his friend rival

Can't have nice things

Or should I say STINK?

Attached: grooseward gourd.jpg (666x377, 82K)

The weird thing is how much he looks like Ganondorf in these concept pieces.

Oh I know, I was just agreeing with those particular points. I'd call the Kingdoms multiple things really. Holodrum is the only one with no real identity of it's own.I'd argue it's probably the closest to Egypt in some aspects or America/Native Culture.

It's just the big nose that looks a bit weird.

>onion buyers

What the fuck does that mean?

The eyebrows.

Bugmen.

Motherfucker's got Ryu eyebrows.

Well remember, Fairies can can have children it seems and there is a Mother of Fairies. Who is to say autonomous robots can't make other robots, that is pretty implied in SS too with their robots.

That may be certain AI's purpose, to just create more for guidance of certain races, such as the weak Kokiri. There is some likely connection between them and Fi/Girahim considering the Fairy of Winds and the odd diamond/crystal shaped stuff when it comes to a lot of their things, as well as general designs in some rare cases, and the use of Hylia and their accordance with the Gods/Goddesses. It is possible that a lot of items might just be Fairies or AI or some extent. Take Navi for instance, her purpose is the guide and protect Link (much like most of the fairies of that type barring the ones that heal you), she only leaves when the Hero of Time can protect himself without her, and even then he doesn't really need Tatl to protect him. Maybe that's just their generated AI purpose, I believe the Deku Tree does say he creates fairies at one point to help protect the Kokiri.

Attached: hecometotown.jpg (352x290, 33K)

I also thought of the Twili as the Ottomans since the Ottomans were formed from the bands of religious raiders who came close to dominating the "world" of that time kinda like the Twili.

Soul
Soulless

>tfw when you see a girl as tall as a pillow

What would Link's life be like in the Twilight Realm?

Why didn't Link just go back to the twilight realm with her?

They're based off the Greeks I believe (which is close enough really). The Jomon are the Sheikah which had a lot of internal strife when it came to the Myceneans and general war and strife as well, which fits in line with the multiple Sheikah factions, their use of Shadow Magic, and the Twili's own, as well as the Eye Symbols throughout their entire culture, which is also based on Egyptian too.

So really I think it's mostly just Illyria/Ottomans/Egyptians. For Sheikah/Twili.

Because he'd either die eventually or become one of them and not able to leave. He'd effectively fuck Hyrule permanently. The Hero's Spirit seemingly couldn't reincarnate since it's trapped there, and if he brought he Master Sword with him, then there is no stopping any evil anymore besides the Four Sword.

Oh no, he's hot.
Honestly, the way botw cemented him as a trap to all the faggots on the internet made finding proper /y/ or /cm/ art of him really difficult.

Imagine if Link dual-wielded the Master Sword and Four Sword haha wouldn't that be interesting

He would be the Twili's connection to the light world and the messenger of the TRUE GODDESS' (not Hylia) word. Also Midna's pusy slave.

>He'd effectively fuck Hyrule permanently. The Hero's Spirit seemingly couldn't reincarnate since it's trapped there, and if he brought he Master Sword with him,
The Goddesses will find a way to bring the hero back. Just like in Wind Waker.

Do people actually like that look? I have a similar nose and eyebrow combo.

Besides the fact they forgot to integrate the triforce pieces more organically, it was pretty fun.

>implying that Link wouldn't sweep Midna off her feet and take charge
TP Link is too alpha for your femdom fantasies

Imagine if Link got to wield the fucking Sword of Twilight.

Attached: Scimtar of Twilight.png (216x899, 157K)

It's traditionally attractive, manly.

Just as the previous hero continues to exist as a Stalfo in TP, Links reincarnations don't require him to be in the same dimension or even dead for them to pass on.

>and take charge
Then a whole chunk of Midna's purpose is gone now.

>TP Link is too alpha for your femdom fantasies
Femdom is pretty gay but TP Link sounds like the type of dude to make girls cry. In a good way.

That would just ramp up the yaoi fanart and you know it.

While fair, and assuming he left the Master Sword there, it's still not the Hero of Twilight's place to be there. As unfortunate as it is, it's the truth. Midna was right in destroying the mirror as well, because look at the Downfall Timeline with Veran, who is likely a Twili as well, who can also use shadow magic and shapeshift and bears extreme similarities to their colors, skin, hair, covering of ears, etc.

History repeats itself even across all timelines, even Hyrule is slowly being flooded by the time of LoZ/AoL like the Adult Timeline, same is true by the time of FSA as well. Everything in Hyrule is a cycle, a legend if you will that must repeat with variances.

Why contain it?

funny I kinda thought of Wind Waker Hyrule as the Greece of Zelda because of the constant sailing from island to island.

Oh and Midna's design was based off oriental designs in the Hyrule Hystoria.

Hero's Shade/Hero of Time isn't a Stalfos, he's just the lingering regrets of him becoming a narcissistic asshole without any guidance in his life. It's not actually him. It's like the equivalent of Darth Bane in The Clone Wars, it's just lingering will that isn't actually real.

>it's still not the Hero of Twilight's place to be there
Says who? There is peace for that time and the world will be engulfed by evil and the Hero will come to save them.

WW feels more like the Ring of Fire to me and Indonesia at times with all the Islands. Really I don't think there is any particular type of inspiration for things, they just pick and choose random stuff and make things.

>a narcissistic asshole
Oh shut the fuck up, OoT Link was in the right. That dude saved the world and only got shit for it.

Evil always exists, that's life user. What's more important a peaceful Twili Realm now, or the potential for danger with everyone he's known barring Midna in Hyrule? Hyrule is full of incompetent fucks, Midna can take care of herself and the Twilight Realm.

I guess you're right.

Attached: 71872265_p4.jpg (3507x2480, 3.51M)

>who is likely a Twili as well
Veran is a corrupted fairy monster created before the concept of the Twili.

>or the potential for danger with everyone he's known barring Midna in Hyrule?
Evil has been defeated in TP by with the death of Ganondorf by Link's hand, everything wrong in the game was through his hand and with him out of the picture Hyrule goes back to normal.

It takes Courage to put your demons behind you, and he lost that as time went on. Sure he saved Hyrule, he saved Termina, what does it matter if you are recognized for it? He's an ungrateful brat that in the end learned nothing from either of his journeys, and he paid the price by losing an eye at some point in his life and ended up dying bitter despite having a family and descendants. The only real regret he should have is not being able to pass on his teachings to someone worthy, which he thankfully gets to fulfill and puts some of those regrets at ease.

That's the ironic thing about the Hero of Time, he never grows up.

That's why you make him the rival to the female MC.

>Alt ending where Link rushes after Midna before the mirror breaks and ends up in the Twilight Realm
>Midna initially berates him, calling him a fool for going after her and forever cutting himself off from his home
>Link confesses he's never felt like he truly belonged anywhere, and his home is wherever she is
>Meanwhile, the Twilight council comes to the conclusion that she failed her people, and did not do enough to prevent the usurper from taking over
>They strip her of her crown, and curse her back into her imp form as punishment
>Midna becomes depressed at the loss of the throne, and being trapped as a "hideous little imp"
>Link somewhat awkwardly tells her he always found her to be quite lovely
>embark on another adventure against a dark power/internal corruption of the court conspiracy, allied with some Twili who regard Link as a hero for his previous deeds
>after many trials, she regains her queenhood
>free of conspirators, peace finally reigns
>Midna proposes that marriages between kingdoms are commonplace for political purposes, and with his deeds, the people would accept him as their prince
>not a usurper prince, a true prince
>her haughty facade breaks "...my prince," she'd whisper to him, voice quivering
>Link accepts

Attached: mid42f9eee46413a319.png (1000x2000, 1019K)

>blue skin
>red hair
>purple/blue/black attire
>covers her ears
>uses shadow magic
>can shapeshift much like Midna (granted hers is through a mask)
>has vertical eye symbol (like the Twili)

Sure she was made before the Twili, but it's pretty obvious there is some basis to the theory that she too is a Twili or Midna's design in some way was inspired by her, just as the Twili/Veran/etc. are likely related to the Sheikah and Majora's Shadow Tribe. There is a lot going on in Zelda, some of it due to retcons and future lore added, but the series strangely makes a lot of sense when you start connecting pieces of the puzzle.

It's all part of Hylia's selfish plot. Any incarnation of her chosen hero that doesn't fall for the continuation of her bloodline either dies full of regret (OoT) or alone (TP).

>>Alt ending where Link rushes after Midna before the mirror breaks and ends up in the Twilight Realm
>>Midna initially berates him, calling him a fool for going after her and forever cutting himself off from his home
>>Link confesses he's never felt like he truly belonged anywhere, and his home is wherever she is
>they fuck right then on the spot

>He's an ungrateful brat
Link sacrificed his childhood and any sense of normality for the sake of everyone only for them to fuck up the world further. And there's nothing wrong in getting recognition. We know he wouldn't want recognition especially after the Royal Family had the Gerudo ethnically cleansed and their shrine desecrated and turned into a prison.

Or she has a unique design that was reused in TP. There's no reason for Veran to be a Twili and she isn't.

>when you get cucked to the point ruining everyone's life out of spite
Hylia is a monster.

And he was granted his childhood back, you may argue that it's a technical alternate timeline, but it's no different than the one he was originally in other than he went ahead and helped deal with Ganondorf, and there is no Navi. Even after saving Termina what was stopping him from settling down and living a normal life (which we know he does since TP Link is a descendant)? Nothing. The Hero of Time continues on wanting more and more battles and more and more recognition, he likely joins the Royal Army and continues fighting. He didn't have to do any of that, he was granted his shit back at the end of OoT, it was his choices that led to his regrets.

Also the Spirit Temple is not the Arbiter's Grounds, BotW clearly shows us this, they're some distance apart.

Imagine if Link actually used a different sword that wasn't the Master Sword or a knockoff version of it like in PH and ST

Attached: AoL_Sword.png (308x958, 187K)

What if Hyrule is like Australia or Japan, so there's really nothing else close to it?

True Midna's purpose is to be tall, cuddly, and full of banter. And dominating tall girls is the highest expression of alphaness.

His childhood was taken from him by the harsh experiences he had to bear. Yes he got his years back, but the experiences and him being forced to act like an adult he wasn't made it impossible to stay a child, while also not being an adult. His story is kinda messed up.

mah nigga

Attached: 1559035634260.gif (320x240, 2.09M)

Well we know Midna was based on oriental stuff, they've went over this. Even then, you can still argue that Veran is a shapeshifter and takes on the forms of things she sees, she's a mimic, the Sorceress of Shadows, her appearance is still a big question, meaning sure may not be a Twili, but she is likely mimicking one of them in the lore. It's still too much of a coincidence with her having a Eye motif, Shadow Magic, and her appearance, on top of the Twili possessing all of that, and the Sheikah that weren't dealt with for betraying the Royal Family possessing all that as well.

It's far too much of a coincidence. Sure Nintendo may never truly address it, but I'm sure they've thought of the same idea to some minor extent at the very least. You can still say she is a Dark Fairy as the game suggests that and Fairies are capable of shapeshifting, but there is definitely something more there, it's too in your face and obvious.

>And he was granted his childhood back
Holy shit dude are you that thick headed? Try telling a harden soldier or rebel to go back to their old life after spending decades fighting on the front line. Try telling all those people in Aleppo or Mosul or Raqqa after the shit they went though.

>Also the Spirit Temple is not the Arbiter's Grounds
I never said it was, I just said a shrine when really it was a temple.

Moron.

>whose fucking bright idea was it for the very first section after the intro tutorial to be a forced stealth section
OoT had the same thing.

I love the game boy zelda maps. Too bad I never finished the Oracle games. Should do that.

When on Earth does the Hero of Time ever act like an adult? Even when he tries to talk to Saria after the Forest Temple, she straight shuts him down and is like "Stop being a child, I'm gone."

Also there are tons of people in every day life that grow up faster than they should, they learn to cope and deal with their lives without having insane regrets, not all of them, but most. The Hero of Time should have been more wise after his journeys and dealings. The fact that he holds onto those feelings of regrets and shit proves he still hasn't grown up fully. He by far has the worst life of the Links no doubt and in a lot of ways he is justified, not this one. he should have no care of recognition, no other Hero has given a fuck about being recognized except for him.

If we go by how huge the Hero's Shade is, then TP Link will grow up to be a big motherfucker who tames tall girls.

Attached: Link and Hero's Shade.gif (500x335, 941K)

OoT had the same thing.
You mean hyrule castle? That was way less annoying than forsaken fortress.

I wonder if they'll ever explain how he lost his eye.

Attached: 39150948.jpg (1000x799, 486K)

>OoT had the same thing.
there, fucked up the greentext

Hyrule Castle Courtyard is a very short segment AND it's not the very first section of the fucking game.

>Holy shit dude are you that thick headed? Try telling a harden soldier or rebel to go back to their old life after spending decades fighting on the front line. Try telling all those people in Aleppo or Mosul or Raqqa after the shit they went though.

Tell that to the Heroes that are even younger that go back to their lives just fine without worrying about being recognized for their deeds, and fair enough on the AG thing.

At his age, how much taller could he possibly get?

Truly the best end

Soon.

Attached: botw2.jpg (1128x620, 262K)

>Also there are tons of people in every day life that grow up faster than they should, they learn to cope and deal with their lives without having insane regrets, not all of them, but most.
Normal people don't time travel and fight giant monsters.

Forsaken Fortress was the third section though.
The first section was Outset Island, and the second section was the Pirate Ship.
And regardless of how much fun you had, Forsaken Fortress had a lot of atmosphere. Being a kid and trying to sneak past the Moblins only for one of them to see you with that jump scare is pretty damn tense.

My headcanon: the sole surviving Gerudo child of a destroyed village got lucky with a bow and took his eye.

I played Zelda II for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved it. Do you think if they made another game in a style like that game it would sell well and be well received, or would it just be another weird Zelda that no one talks about?

>Tell that to the Heroes that are even younger that go back to their lives just fine without worrying about being recognized for their deeds
Most of those are on the 2D game that put story behind the gameplay of course they're not going to deep into the life of Link after the end.

>BotW2 is just a straight up porn game

Better bow down before the fucking King, you nerds.

Attached: D9ITbjOU0AAWtn3.jpg large.jpg (2000x1535, 601K)

>At his age, how much taller could he possibly get?
Someone when BotW first came out did their heights properly based on general date. Adult Links are around 5'7-8", Ganondorf is canonically 7'6"/230cm, and Hero's Shade is around 7'0-2".

He's not an adult and the ToC could help along the way.

He still has the mind of a ten year old while he is adult Link. To him, it was as though he pulled out the Master Sword and awoke in an adult body a mere moment later.
That is a lot to deal with. A body he's not used to, hormones he doesn't understand, being asked to defeat the king of evil all with the mind and emotional maturity of a ten year old child.
Of course he acted irrationally after he defeated Ganon and Navi left him. He had no one else to turn to.

How old was he? 15-17?
Maybe there are too many hormones in the water of your area; men can keep growing after that gap.
My growing spurt was at 19.

Hero of Winds lives his life out just fine. ALttP Link lives out his life just fine, and he actually watches family die in front of him to start his adventure and does a helluva lot more (which granted he was a couple years older, but not much).

Hero of Time is an ungrateful brat, he's a stain on the legacy of the every Hero before and after him because he likes to whine about being a Hero. No other Link gives a shit, there are things more important than your own petty desires.

No it's so contradictory that it makes complete sense.
SS railroads you hard, because it put a bigger focus on thw dungeons rather than exploration of the map and BotW put a bigger focus on the exploration of the map rather than thw dungeons.
You just appreciate both for what it tried to do.

>instead of upgrades, korok seeds now grant new positions

>Ganondorf is canonically 7'6"/230cm, and Hero's Shade is around 7'0-2".
>wwn get the Zelda equivalent of this with the Hero's Shade and Ganon

Attached: skull knight vs zodd.jpg (1036x1295, 269K)

Forsaken Fortress is the first *proper* segment of the game that isn't a tutorial, similar to how Inside the Great Deku Tree is the first proper segment of OoT.

The idea of having a good Dorf for once is fucking awesome.

>what is this, a link for gay waifu shiping ants

I wish Nintendo would make some non-canon spin off game where all the Links just hang out together. Try to one up each other with who had the 'hardest' quests, compare love interests, show off their weapons, spar, etc.
But instead we got three Tingle accounting game spin offs.

Attached: DqWxaCJXQAA8JiI.jpg (1004x680, 123K)

>My growing spurt was at 19.
That strikes me as abnormally late. When did you hit puberty? Actually curious.

>He had no one else to turn to.
He still had the Great Deku Tree, Saria, Zelda, Darunia, and so much more, hell he even has a wife and kids. He had tons of people to turn too. He had more support there than he ever would have had he stayed as an adult, the only difference is there would have been no Hero's Shade because "Hey look I got a statue!"

spirit tracks happened.
reminder

Inside the Deku Tree was kind of a tutorial. Not completely but kind of.
Navi teaches you how to open doors and push blocks in that dungeon.

>Hero of Winds lives his life out just fine. ALttP Link lives out his life just fine, and he actually watches family die in front of him to start his adventure and does a helluva lot more (which granted he was a couple years older, but not much).
WW Link got his entire family back in one piece and so did ALTTP Link, dumbass.

Originally Young Link was 10 and Adult Link was 17, that was retconned with the HH to being 9-16.

>He still had the Great Deku Tree, Saria, Zelda, Darunia
He got sent back in time to the moment Zelda was spying on Ganondorf. Deku Tree is fucking dead and the others par Saria don't know who he is.

>inb4 Zelda fucking dies at some point
Hence why BotW2 is supposedly a dark game.

Convenient, the Hero of Time got all his friends/family back as well (other than Navi).

>undead corpse Ganondorf is cool as fuck
>all the art makes him human

Attached: jermapunch.gif (681x632, 2.33M)

There's some good aspects to it but I definitely think it's the weakest 3D Zelda, even below Skyward Sword.
>dude what if we made OoT's Hyrule Field into 90% of the game

...

Post random non-major features you wish are in BOTW 2
>Wolf/dog companion that's not tied to an amiibo
>Unarmed combat
>Changeable hairstyles

The Tingle spinoffs are their own thing. They're not really related to Zelda in any meaningful way. Tingle exists in his own wacky universe.

The Zelda spinoffs I wanna see are a proper RPG with a party, or a 4x grand strategy game where you pick a race and try to conquer Hyrule either by force or through democracy.

...

I still looked like a baby at 18.
I grew up a bit at 16, but I guess 19-20 was the gap when I changed.
Now I look like MGS1 Otacon

Doesn't TP have HoT's grave and calls him a Cursed Swordsman? Sounds more like people just avoided his ass because he always brought about trouble and evil when he was around, even then they still recognized him as a warrior.

I gotta agree with the one user somewhat, he shouldn't really be hung up about the whole Hero thing. He seemingly lived an alright life after MM beyond losing one of his eyes.

>spoiler
did you peepee your pants and watch chinese cartoons?

I feel like the Link's portrayal was the main problem. Her soul-bearing declaration of protection would have been more impactful if he had any kind of reaction whatsoever.

I know people say they like BoTW Link for his personality because he has some entertaining selectable dialogue options, but considering those are optional, I enjoy the personalities of the other 3D Links better. And I know he's supposed to be somewhat of a blank slate, but WW, TP, and SS had a good balance of being that "Link" to the player and having an emotional response to things that enhanced that connection rather than disrupt it.

fpbp

>Sounds more like people just avoided his ass because he always brought about trouble and evil when he was around, even then they still recognized him as a warrior.
Punished Link Arc fucking when Nintendo

Not him, but there is nothing in any of the games that implies exactly when he is sent back. Only that he returns to Hyrule Castle and warns the Royal Family. He could have been sent back right before he pulled the Master Sword in the first place, before he even talked to the Great Deku Tree, or a variety of possibilities.

No real concrete proof either way. It's pure conjecture.

>Great Deku Tree
Dead
>Saria
Can't leave the Kokiri Forest
>Zelda
The source of all his angst in the first place
>Darunia
I don't think Gorons would have the emotional capacity to understand what he went through
>Wife + Kids
I'm sure whoever he married Malon would have gotten the brunt of this, but it's not like she could have done anything to help, other than offer a shoulder to cry on.
Navi was the only one who was with him through all of it, so it probably fucked him up bad when she just up and left without a word.

Attached: 57172334_p0_master1200.jpg (1200x641, 127K)

You just know he's going to rehydrate over the course of the game.

Minish Cap, ALBW and Spirit Track. 2D zelda is more appealing to me. Never liked any other 3D game. Never played BOTW tho

>Hero of Time is an ungrateful brat, he's a stain on the legacy of the every Hero before and after him because he likes to whine about being a Hero. No other Link gives a shit, there are things more important than your own petty desires.
>hating on Link for acting like a normal human being
Autism

>Can't leave the Kokiri Forest
Bullshit on that, bullshit on the Kokiri leaving the forest period. Mido is at the ranch at the end of OoT. Even I can defend the other user on this.

The Koroks leave the forest all the damn time too.

don't even joke about that

Attached: 75234645.jpg (1000x2286, 727K)

Not sure if this reaches major territory but:
>eating animations
>some sort of "filling mechanic" which makes you unable to eat more than 3-5 small meals or 2 big hearty meals for a while, so you must prep meals and recover in a smarter way
This would unironically make for a better Hero Mode than
>hur durr, give enemies auto-recovery

gallery.zeldalegends.net/categories/Ocarina_of_Time/Screen_Shots/storylinerelated/normal_linktriforce.jpg
He doesn't have the Goron Bracelet with him and Zelda is still in her castle. This is before meeting the Gorons and the Zoras, but after Deku Tree.

Maybe something like The Boss from MGS3. Except HE’S the one that ends up with a missing eye.

I feel it has to be very rare for guys to go through the bulk of their puberty after they hit college-age.

I hit my growth spurt at 11, which is a bit on the early end of the spectrum, but not abnormal. Everyone's different, of course, and they generally start anywhere from late elementary to mid-high school ages.

I don't think I've ever met anyone who started that late.

Considering all the Links are the same spirit, yeah, I'm gonna hate on him for being human because none of the rest act like that despite being the same reincarnated spirit.
>Dead
We don't know when he was sent back, just that he was.
>Can't leave
Yes she can, Mido leaves just fine.
>Zelda
He never had to go along with it, the only thing he cared about was having a fairy and being a hero because of his dreams. He just wanted to be recognized from the get go.
>Darunia
I think Darunia would understand just fine.
>Wife/Kids
That helps ease the pain, and yet he still complains.

The Hero of Time's entire thing was being recognized, even in OoT. He was never recognized by the Kokiri or the Fairies, only ever Saria and the Deku Tree, and it bleeds over, he even had prophetic dreams bout being a hero which helped bleed into his want of being recognized. He's a child, his adulthood had nothing to do with it. He's a brat who just wants to be noticed and beloved. He and Ganondorf are basically the same: The Ungrateful Gods.

I fucking hope not, at best there should be a memory or cutscene showing what he used to look like but he should stay undead when you actually face him

really Nintendo needs more undead characters

Attached: pious-augustus.jpg (610x343, 39K)

Yeah, that bit is probably an old Kokiri wives' tale meant to protect them from the outside world. I mean really, what would happen? They wither up and die the moment they step into Hyrule Field?

SEE YOU LATER FAGGOTS user IS GOING ON VACATION

Attached: CF9FFF32-A8AA-484D-9B69-94B6F8680936.jpg (374x238, 37K)

After Skyward Sword came out I really wanted a game set during the founding of the kingdom of Hyrule where Ganondorf is your bro that tragically gets corrupted by Demise

I find it pretty cringe. He is the King of Evil, not a fucking disney prince.

in Hyrule Warriors he's an ally of circumstance, but you know how that is, non-canon musou game and all.

They turn into twigs with leaf faces that poop gold.

Attached: yes60497387.jpg (576x960, 95K)

My theory is that if the left the forest they would start to age

Nah, you're just an autist hating on Link for a being realistic and flawed human being AKA BASED.

>Zelda dies
Paya still has a chance!

>Paya still has a chance!
>Riju lives
ONOHNHOHNONONONO

It's still pure conjecture, he doesn't actually lose any of his items when he time travels. Seems more like an oversight. If we're going to work on conjecture in the other user's argument for HoT, then we only have two to work on.

Either the Hero of Time was reset by Zelda and the Goddess of Time like in Majora's Mask, which resets him to the beginning events, ie: the start of OoT (which the Great Deku Tree will die at that point anyway), or he was sent back at an unknown point and keeps his items, which is the more logical conclusion, otherwise the Royal Family has no reason to believe Link and Zelda in the first place without concrete proof. Even if we were to assume he was sent back right before he first met her, the events wouldn't be any different, he has no logical proof of Ganondorf's betrayal without those items (and as we see in the ending) isn't the case. Like I said, it's pure conjecture because neither are logical or make any sense that lead to Ganondorf's Execution, unless we're to assume (again pure conjecture) that it was just an oversight by Miyamoto and the crew.

>Zelda dies
>we start dating Ganondorf

Attached: morning_smile_by_tavington-d4jhb6v.png (709x322, 208K)

Paya is happy being Link's and Zelda's side hoe

Wouldn't the Gerudo just use a lone male as breeding cattle rather than exalting him as a ruler?

Attached: nab202170.jpg (1478x1900, 2.08M)

I assumed it was just to protect them as well, as ti was the Deku Tree's magic that turned them into Koroks in the first place to protect them and let them fly the Great Seas to plant more forests.

Even then it's strange as the Deku Tree lets them go into the Lost Woods just fine without a problem.

Wouldn't everything end up being a product of incest afterwards? 1 male can't sire a civilization back. Unfortunately

Nah, I love the Hero of Time, but that's part of the irony of his character, he's a brat, he grows up in some aspects, and not in other's. It's part of his character, even if he has no real reason to want to be recognized so badly.

>It's still pure conjecture, he doesn't actually lose any of his items when he time travels.
Zelda sent him back in time to finish off his childhood. Him loosing out on his gear is a pretty good way of keeping him on that path. Plus we know that they do prove Ganondorf's plot as see in TP.

>he's a brat
He's not, that's just you btiching.

Dobson is that you?

>Hyrule Warriors
Honestly Hyrule Warriors is a good LoZ game even if it doesn't follow the standard format it's definitely the most fleshed out that we've ever got to see the world outside of manga

Ok I'm gonna end the argument right here and now.

The original japanese in the Hyrule Historia prior to translation only talks of his regrets as a hero, not passing on his skills and abilities. The English translation separates the two. In the Japanese it's implied that his view of what being a Hero is are the skills he learned along the way, which he was never able to pass on, rather than his regret at not being remembered for Hyrule/Termina. It's such a nuance of translation that easily determines two very different things when translated poorly or with a coma for instance. His only regret were his abilities not being passed on which is what helped make him a Hero.

The Gerudo hold a contest to prove who is the strongest female worthy of breeding with the Gerudo king.
Once Ganondorf is resurrected, Link will watch how Ganondorf impregnates Riju right in front of him.

>Link will never pick you like he picks up cats
HURT

>In the Japanese it's implied that his view of what being a Hero is are the skills he learned along the way, which he was never able to pass on
Makes sense, I wouldn't want my talents in the hands of the people responsible for ethnic cleansing.

Twilight Princess.

I don't follow

It'll be okay user.

Attached: DBfWUiJUIAAIiCj.jpg (2048x1438, 212K)

Now you're just blowing things out of proportion. That user obviously lacks Dobson's inflated ego.

>you will never watch OoT Link and TP Link Sumo wrestle
>you will never watch OoT Link forget he has his gauntlets on and tosses TP Link to the Moon

Real talk. BotW Link is pretty based.

His battle at the Hateno gate must have been metal as fuck, and he was able to fulfill his mission, even after losing everything, including his memories.

BOTW Link personality was in his diary journals which NOA chose to remove any personal references towards his feelings throughout the adventure.

>the Chaddest Link is the one with brown hair
lmao get fucked dobson

>TFH
>The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is the eighteenth main installment of The Legend of Zelda series
Wait, I always thought TFH was a spin-off. What have I been missing?

>Urbosa clearly stated, that Ganondorf was an evil fucker
>people are somehow convinced he was the hero of legend and a good guy
>they start imagining him as some sort of disney prince, even though nothing about him even remotely gave the impression of "good guy" in the trailer

Attached: Forsaken_morning_by_sylphide2.jpg (1181x871, 278K)

TFH is canonically in between ALBW and LoZ on the timeline. It's the same Link as the one in ALBW. It also has Sheikah Tech too in places, even the Wallmasters are more tech oriented and have the eye as well (and remember, they work in the Shadow as well).

>tosses TP Link to the Moon
>see Link comedown with his iron boots

Someone post the Dobson comic about blondes. You know the one

Aside from the CD-i games, would a game where Zelda is the mqin protagonist instead of Link work?

Attached: cute zelda chin hold.png (1416x1360, 1.31M)

To think that Navi was meant to look like this but couldn't due to N64 technical limitations. She would be far more loved these days if it had happened.

>OoT Link puts on his Iron Boots
>Takes off the gauntlets
>True show of strength
I'd argue they're close in strength, OoT Link can pick up boulders, and TP Link can pick up Gorons, though TP Link literally overpowers the Triforce of Power. OoT Link is for sure the physically strongest with the Golden Gauntlets easily though.

People just really want to like Ganondorf and him being pure evil conflicts with that so they make stuff up instead.
I coveted that wind, I suppose.

I know it's not canon, but the TP manga has been more overt about the Hero's Shade being the Hero of Time and both Links have been having some pretty touching father/son (or great-great-grandad/great-great-grandson) moments.
I really like how manga TP Link tries to fight his fate as a hero too.

women really like their faces being cupped in their guy's hands?

>OoT Link is for sure the physically strongest with the Golden Gauntlets easily though.
Nah you don't get much better than overpowering the ToP.

Technically they still look like that, they just glow super strong.

ftfy

Zelda being playable, especially botw Zelda being playable, is a meme. She can't fight.

Same, I do like how the manga handles things sometimes.
OoT Link with those gauntlets picks up and tosses giant slabs quite a distance. Those thing weigh a good 12+ tons.

Picked up Majoras Mask 3D the other day for 20 bucks it's been fun to re-live an old memory

What do you think of Zelda's new haircut?

Attached: cute_hair_2.jpg (1200x1172, 185K)

>the timeline was a mistake

The mistake are extremists fans that don't have imagination to accept that in a fantasy universe with godesses, magic and shit that is literally called a LEGEND on the fucking title things doesn't have to reflect how time, geography and everything else functions in our reality.

The timeline exists, it's official, there are inconsistencies and mysteries that probably will never be explained, but that's part of the charm of the series.

a two day old game

i cant trust your opinions if you are calling something the best with two days of examination

>I really like how manga TP Link tries to fight his fate as a hero too.
Remember the time Link literally gets disarmed?

Doesn't make sense, we literally have locations from other games within BotW.

Spirit Tracks was comfy, PH though...

How would he play differently?

Super cute!

she's still the worst girl

Have fun user, I think it's a pretty good remake myself.
Theorycrafting is fun though, people just take it too seriously.

there is an official TP manga? Is it finished?

>forgetting TP Link and this special moment
youtube.com/watch?v=TFWu1S7vrsw

Still not my favorite Zelda but she's definitely cute.

Depends which Ganondorf honestly.

You could have a more magic oriented Ganondorf who is shooting fireballs and dark magic blasts. You could have a dual-wielding Ganondorf like in WW. You could have him play Tennis with everything. You could make him play like Dante if you really wanted and his DT is Ganon with either a Trident and/or Sword moveset.

He could play a lot of ways really, which is why he'll never be playable.

SO LONG GAY GORON

Yeah, but what if BOTW2 had some sort of tag-team mechanic? So Link can go unga, while Zelda has access to more advanced slate technology, plus buffs and debuffs.

She cute

I feel like I'm one of the few people who like Navi.
Her voice was cute af.

The only way I would tolerate a """Good""" Dorf is if the Shiekah tried to nerf Ganon by separating Calamity from his latest human shell (Dorf) and raised Dorf as a warrior, but it didn't end up working and he re-merged with Calamity when he attempted fighting it. Otherwise it is cringe, and the premise is kind of cringe. Let villains be villains.

I remember it, I even pointed out he also overpowers Ganondorf and the Triforce of Power itself. I'd argue OoT Link is still a tad stronger, as TP Link gets helped out a little bit by the rolling there and he doesn't toss something that heavy nearly as far.

Without items, TP Link is for sure the strongest without question.

Some localizations from BotW are based on previous ones but we know 100% sure they aren't the ones from the past, just look at the ruins of the Temple of Time, it's not only bigger (despite being in literal ruins) than OoT Temple of Time but it's also in an unique place that can't possibly fit in other maps

sounds like busywork because BOTW Link is already OP as fuck and honestly wouldn't need it. just sounds like a way to pad out environmental puzzles.

Akira Himekawa's OoT side story inspired Nintendo to develop the Rito race. Maybe they're somehow foreshadowing what happens with BotW2's Link.
They're even incorporating the Resistance guys earlier into the story and taking things slower compared to their other game adaptations. I'm really enjoying it so far.

I like it. It reminds me of that animation where she gets dicked by ghost cock Urbosa.

I like funko Marin

When was this because I've played through the game at least 3 times and haven't seen that

The best.

>Ganondorf is canonicaly a foot shorter than an average Gerudo woman

>TP Link gets helped out a little bit by the rolling there and he doesn't toss something that heavy nearly as far
The rolling has to be caught on time to work and the boots provide balance, the tossing is all him.

She has a superior sister.

>Akira Himekawa's OoT side story inspired Nintendo to develop the Rito race.
They should let Link get his chance with Midna to make up for that.

I want to cum IN her hair

Throwing bombs into holes in SS and MM

It's not, but it's been ongoing since 2016 and the Japanese volumes are up to just before the Arbiter's Grounds, I think. They're really expanding the story past what the game offered, and it's actually for the better, imo.
The Resistance, Hero's Shade, and even the Dark Link that shows up during the interloper scene all get expanded upon.
TP Link also gets some much needed personality, and I find it refreshing that he's resistant to his fate as a hero. Some shit went down before he came to Ordon Village and he more or less doesn't see himself as deserving of the title, nor does her particularly want to go along with it (at first).

1.ALBW
2.ALttP
3.BotW

>Theorycrafting is fun though, people just take it too seriously.

Yes, that's my approach to the subjet too. I do love theories and don't want fans to stop having fun with. What I don't like is those that take it too seriously, either about the timeline existing or in denying that is doesn't.

We literally have the Fairy Fountain in the Gerudo Desert by the Desert Colossus (which is off the map) in BotW, which is distance wise almost exactly the same as it is in OoT.

Also that Temple of Time is surrounded by the Castle Ruins and Castle Town Ruins from OoT, we have Mt. Crenel and Trilby Plains exactly where they are supposed to be. Goron City matches up where it is in OoT. The Island Palace matches up where it's supposed to be in AoL with Lomei Labryinth.

Not all of it fits sure, but a good chunk of it actually does fit. If we ignore BotW, literally every single map matches up, barring to some extent the direction the Temple of Time/Master Sword is actually facing (which is a simple fix).
He's talking about the fat old man in Kakariko Village. That's the Hero of Hyrule, ALttP/OoA/OoS/LA Link. The one you do multiplayer stuff with.
I remember years ago people bitched me out for saying that there were 3+ timelines rather than two, oh well.

BotW.

Runner ups are probably WW and MM. Favorite 2D games were LA and Minish Cap.

TP is decent but overrated, wolf mechanic blew dicks and the aesthetic wasn't great (but that's a personal taste thing).

You can't marry and settle down with a ghost user, especially when the sequel has you running around with a boring princess

It sure is friend.

Started BTOW yesterday, enjoying it quite a bit. I actually like the weapon durability.

I really don’t like that they have actually English voices now, so few games so the gibberish language and I’m sad we lost it with this series. Doesn’t matter that much in the grand scheme, but I’ll miss it

Attached: 8C7D217E-6A84-4390-85AC-D5B787C9B53C.jpg (4032x3024, 3.56M)

Bro they have to know, they just have to know.

It's Crypt of the Necrodancer with a Zelda Skin, if you liked that game, then yes it's good. I personally loved it, I was terrible at it, but it's essentially a roguelike like say Binding of Isaac, but you move to the beat, as do Enemies/Bosses.

>it's pretty clear they are supposed to be the same even if it's clear they can't possibly be the same

To be fair, Midna spoke English, it was just reversed English. I was always for VAs myself honestly, and I'm glad it turned out alright, I used to get into arguments over Zelda's voice (I think she sounds good personally), but to each their own.

Zelda really can only go on so long with gibberish and text before it begins to stop selling, fall to the wayside, and ultimately be forgotten. Just a product of evolution and the times.

homebrew gibberish talk by switching languages

The Temple of Time in TP is also the same, but the designs are also different. Just the same as Hyrule Castle in WW was actually rebuilt over the Temple of Time (as Ganon's Tower sat where the old one is and it is geographically similar to where Castle Town/ToT would be). You can also even see the construction of the ceiling within WW. He's right, it's the exact same Temple and area, especially with the surrounding ruins matching up. Sure it doesn't look the same, but there has been thousands of years of change. You also have to take into consideration game limitations in size, and a variety of other things.

They set up Ilia with Shad to more or less get her out of the way so that Midna and Link can happen, at least that's what it feels like.
They explore Link's relationship with Rusl and the rest of Ordon village, and give him a backstory prior to his arrival. Some of the other villagers view him as an outsider and view him as unlucky, blaming him for the initial Bulbin invasion (note how Ordonians all have round ears and Link ofc has pointed ones).
They also give Midna and Zelda some history together, as well as Midna and the golden wolf.
Basically, all the characters that show up in TP get more focus and interaction beyond 'Link knows them, oh no they're in trouble, yay they're saved now.'

It's translated up to volume 4 (out of 6) in English, and the 5th volume is supposed to come out in July. It was originally supposed to end at volume 6, but the artists have said they want to do the story justice, and so far they have it extending past 8 volumes.
You can view the manga chapters for free (in Japanese) using the MangaONE app. You'll need something like Qoo to bypass the region lock, but once you download it you can view all the chapters published so far. It won't let you screenshot the pages, but if an user knows how to bypass that shit, let me know and I'll try it out on my phone.

Nigga got a six pack.

I prefered gibberish too but voice acting fine by me as long as Link doesn't talk.

>They set up Ilia with Shad to more or less get her out of the way so that Midna and Link can happen
Wow you’d think they’d set up Ashei and Shad instead. Based Akira saving /ourship/.

>(note how Ordonians all have round ears and Link ofc has pointed ones).

We had an interesting discussion the other night on this with Gerudo actually and the Twili, and that those closer to the Gods have pointed ears, and those that don't typically have rounded. With the Gerudo mating with Hylians more often and breaking away from Ganondorf over time they slowly get more pointed ears. Ordonians are a weird bunch when it comes to the ears actually and they aren't part of Hyrule after all.

Spirit Tracks

>Shad

Attached: shad.jpg (500x336, 27K)

This, I argued for voice acting as long as Link didn't talk. Which he never has to to have voice acting, a lot of people would get on my case being like BUT LINK CANT TALK, and I'm like Ok, just because Zelda can doesn't mean Link has to be voiced.

I just prefer Hena

ALttP, LA and the Oracle games are all better 2D Zeldas than Minish Cap

Ordonians are Slavs.

Is TP Link still related to OoT Link in this story?

Based.

I think it would be Hilda he was wishing for

That's interesting, good to know that more people recognize Link/Midna is best ship, at least that's the hope.

I liked Midna's interactions with Zelda in the game, and I always wanted to see that explored too.

Ikana is a separate Kingdom. It's likely the Sheikah Equivalent of the Kingdom considering they're at war with a group of Shadow Ninja like the Sheikah did when they splintered into factions.

But you are correct, it's part of an alternate world, which the one user didn't include Termina either.

Attached: 43120055_p0.png (817x836, 885K)

>design
It's not about design, it's about the surroundings, TW's Temple of Time is the same as OoT's like you said but it's in a forest far from the castle now, the castle and other places are rebuild between the games a lot of times

Also
> Hyrule Castle in WW was actually rebuilt over the Temple of Time
Doubt it, when you leave the castle you can see it looks like it was rebuild exactly where Ganon Castle was (but with water replacing the lava), it's too different to be just the temple from the citadel. Not like this matters anyway

What are your favorite gear sets in BOTW?

Attached: 63854198_p0.jpg (991x1676, 222K)

Marin Malon Medli Midna Mipha are the five-letter M-name "Mario girls" that all have reddish tops like the red cap of mario

what a long-running joke for the zelda series

well, anywho, watch out for the next Mario girl
and fuck you

Botw Gerudo Desert being the eroded old Death Mountain just makes perfect sense because spectacle rock is always in the Death Mountain area in all games except Botw in which the Death Mountain is suddendly way more active than before like a completely new volcan. And Zelda 1 already introduced the idea of the old Death Mountain being eroded and out of geological activity

>but the artists have said they want to do the story justice, and so far they have it extending past 8 volumes.
>when they want to do your favorite game’s story justice
I feel so warm and fuzzy inside bros, it’s nice.

which of the zeldas was canonically the horniest for Link?

Yes, the Hero's Shade actually takes the form of an older HoT, briefly.

There's speculation that the Tower of the Gods was built over the Temple of Time.

Here's an even better question. Where's Lon Lon Ranch in WW?

ST

Actually not a bad idea. I see they got Russian which I am trying to learn. I feel like French would match the gibberish most though. Debating...

>What's the manga like?
Pretty good, I wouldn't say there's anymore romantic moments than in the game, definitely worth checking out all the manga at some point though even the non TP one's it's not like any of them are too long and even if they are technically non canon they do a good job at expanding the universe and making it seem like an actual livable world not just the minimum needed to finish a game

Attached: 1559305831435.jpg (480x683, 94K)

Fucking nice. If they ever remake TP they gotta do it like the manga because from what seeing on this board is pretty interesting.

That's pretty neat. Now I can say two of my favorite Links have interacted with their ancestors

Attached: c56cc87bdd9d7632a15fdf85321a5546.jpg (650x700, 62K)

How would you rate Link's characterization?
From the game, I always envisioned him as a stoic, "cool older brother" type from his interaction with the kids, and also patient and supportive from the gentle smiles he gives Midna when she needs them.

Attached: mid_n19tp6rSr51tp1n9ko1_500.gif (500x255, 476K)

Is it true that the "temple of time" that you visit in TP is actually the Temple of Light that is referenced but never seen in OOT? It's entrance is revealed by putting the master sword in its pedestal, and its got the light temple medallion symbols everywhere.

What emotions are Midna's and Link's expressions attempting to convey here, respectively?

>Doubt it, when you leave the castle you can see it looks like it was rebuild exactly where Ganon Castle was (but with water replacing the lava), it's too different to be just the temple from the citadel. Not like this matters anyway
If you pay attention to the path towards Ganon's Tower, it has a similar layout of the path from Castle Town to Hyrule Castle. The river that passes in the background is curving and heading in the same direction of where Gerudo Valley would be which leads to Lake Hylia, on top of the ruins that line that path, it's very reminiscent of the ruins and bits that outline Ganon's Tower. In the even that it isn't the same, then it's implied that Zelda is the one that moved the Master Sword elsewhere for the Adult Timeline rather than putting it back in the Pedestal of Time, which means she likely has it for some time until said Castle would have been rebuilt, which would just be odd for her considering it's importance and sealing properties.

And yes, you are correct, BotW's Hyrule Castle was built far to the north, but that is certainly the Temple of Time from OoT, again, the ruins of Castle Town and Hyrule Castle are present there. Not everything matches up in BotW, for instance the Minish Woods are north of Mt. Crenel and the Tribly Plains. Generally a lot does match up.

I spent a lot of time studying those maps when BotW was first announced and shown and trying to line them up, I used to have a proper gif for all the games and timelines that showed an actual progression, even between forests being cut down, regrowing, Castles moving, Earthquakes, etc. I wish I still had it to post, but I lost that about 2 years ago with my old PC sadly. Things definitely match up in every single game but BotW, which places a lot of the games things in different places for the use of references rather than continuity. One final note for the ToT in WW, is the Tower of Gods, it's reminiscent of the ToT/"Light" Temple of TP.

>I want the dick
>I WANT TO FUCK MIDNA

For looks, I took a liking to the Zora set paired with the Hylian Hood.

W-what is this? An actual good Zelda thread? How is this possible?

I want to eat BOTW Zelda's ass until I suffocate and die

It's the Private Oasis, same Island.

Highly likely, it's at the very least a part of the Temple, as the actual Light Temple is technically the Sacred Realm. Tower of Gods has similar statues and gimmicks as well.

what if the real official timeline was the friends we made along the way?

I didn't like Seasons much, lost interest halfway through.

I choose the wrong pic. I meant to show a closer one.

It never made it in ;_;

Attached: F43D39BA-9EB0-4FBF-BAE4-9A719E9F4029.jpg (547x750, 149K)

I'm with you on that one, part of is it I didn't get to play Seasons until much later in life compared to Ages, but I dislike the Seasons gimmick, it's fun, but the constant changing is rather annoying compared to just switch between past/future, and Onyx and Holodrum are in my opinion less interesting than Veran and Labrynna. I hope if we ever get a remake of those, they're combined into one and we get some Oracle of Nature/Farore stuff like originally planned as well.

I don't know, when you look at Dragon Roost Island and Spectacle Island as the equivalents to the Zora realm and the Death Mountain it looks like the Tower of the Gods was literally built in the middle of Hyrule, it's even closer to Lon Lon Ranch than is to the Temple of Time

I have a couple of amiibo's but have never used them for anything game related, I just think they're decent quality figures for the price, if you have somewhere to display them I'd say they're worth it, probably more so if you plan to actually use them

what is the secret behind Ganondorf's popularity?

Dragon Roost is Eldin Volcano, remember Death Mountain is actually a huge mountain range, Eldin is the specific Volcano in reality. It makes Forsaken Fortress match up (again you gotta make some assumptions) with Gerudo Fortress (and it fits the themeing from MM of them being Pirates if there was water).

Which makes Outset Island the two islands within Lake Hylia, which means Headstone is probably the Island in which you retrieve the Fire Arrows and its drifted separated slightly, and the Earth Temple a part of the Water Temple.

Just buy them off of eBay.

Why the fuck don't they put those alt costumes on the online store? Wouldn't they make more money?

Was she meant to be Gerudo?

It killed the backup too, electrical issue at the time. I've been meaning to rework on the map here lately with BotW2 coming out, it's got me back into that Zelda itch. But I don't have as much time as I used to back then as I do these days. If I made a new map, it wouldn't be a natural gif, but it would be a collection of pictures that just show a natural progression, rather than a properly animated series of pictures. Even then I'd have some slightly problems when it came to BotW, because it throws a wrench into the other Maps.

I know it's a meme, but legit, turn your brain off and stop caring. I did that for KH3, went in with no expectations and had a fucking blast. Replays though I started to try and pick apart the game for story reasons and found things I hated, not that there weren't flaws before I noticed, but I became far more critical of the game. I went from feeling like a stupid kid playing KH1 again to being disgruntled about a lot of things.

You wouldn't feek the need to codplay if we got the kino Link design we were denied.

Things get a bit more romantic after the Water Temple.

what's everyone's thoughts on the LttP-style overworld vs Z1/LA/Oracles

in LttP a single screen was larger than the viewport, the camera would follow the player
in Z1/LA/Oracles you would see the full screen at once - the camera only moved when you crossed the screen border

I think they both have their pros and cons, LttP had a stronger sense of exploration while the alternative allowed for better screen design and a clear focal point on each screen

I prefer the latter, love ALttP, but I prefer their camera for the 2D ones better.

Oh yeah, Link fucking talks in the manga. I always thought that was weird.
I mean, obviously he talks in the games too, but you never see it.

should Ilia be feeling threatened by this?

Ilia doesn't even know who the fuck Link is at this point.

You see it a couple times. He talks in AoL once, and he makes an off-handed comment in other games. He meows in WW and you clearly see him talk in TP, just no dialogue box. But I get what ya mean.

>I mean, obviously he talks in the games too, but you never see it.

>OOT
>MM
>WW
>TP
>SS
>BOTW
what are their canon personalities?

>Midna's bedroom eyes and tiny little body
>Link's Turbo Chad looks and huge frame
>the sexual tension
Breh... this is too much

>Literally all they had to do was slap a green paint job on the Champion's Tunic and give Link a hat and it would have been fine as a design
>Even still make it unlockable as the default look for him but still include customization
Fucking Christ I hate this timeline

Ilia has Shad now.

It's not an outright romance is what I guess I should have said, they have moments but I don't feel like they're overly intimate

BotW makes it a bit more obvious which is a bit of a shame since I really didn't like BotW

>OoT/MM
Regretful, sad, lonely, and tortured
>WW
Doofus
>TP
Hard-working and serious
>SS
Quick to anger and adventurous
>BotW
A mixture of the above

Links default personality is generic hardworking hero that you can find in any anime, BotW does mix it up some and he's a bit sarcastic in some of the responses you can pick

Actually, in the manga they restore her memories early. She gets them back just after that escort mission where you have to protect the carriage/Ralis from bulbins.
Instead of joining the kids at Kakariko, she decides to stay at Telma's bar as a waitress, because she's always wanted to see the world outside of Ordon, or whatever. But Shad's obviously taken a liking to her and gives Link the stink-eye whenever they meet.

WW is canonically a lazy ass.

WHY THE FUCK ISNT THIS AN UNLOCKABLE TUNIC?

That quickly cleans up his act and becomes generic hard working hero as soon as his sister is captured

>did a max rupee cheat
Faggot

>Not like anything kills you in the game anyway
You know what? You're right. I take it back

sky blue > green
you cannot dispute this

>OoT
Lonely but fun-loving child
>MM
Consistently bewildered but with a strong sense of conviction
>WW
Just wants to eat and sleep, not the adventurous type but is hellbent on saving his sister and then Tetra
>TP
Friendly farm boy to some, mean motherfucker to others
>SS
Cheerful schoolboy who just wants to fly, doesn't understand why he gets bullied
>BotW
Basically an autistic caveman until he gets his memories back

How the fuck are the other Links supposed to compete with looks like that?

are you telling me that the madman dialogue options in botw are the canon ones?

>joycon is messed up
>whenever I adjust the analog stick slightly, it will slightly input forward until readjusted
>caused me to walk off giant cliffs and die multiple times
FUCK this is annoying. I don’t have the money to buy new ones
