Brawl was probably the best hype season cause of the dojo. Then Smash 4 with the pic of the day, the Ultimate since the window of reveal to release was so short. The Grinch leaks were the highlight.

I was about 7 or 8 when Melee came out so I missed all the pre-release stuff, but it did introduce to a lot of Nintendo characters and franchises I never heard of.

Brawl is unbeatable, but that was probably because we were younger and we hadn't truly had an internet hype season before it.
In truth, they have all been amazing times and sometimes the anticipation being as fun or more than playing the videogames themselves.
