Objective: Survive.
no tips because you're not going to stick with the game, zoomers cant handle classic rpgs
heal ghosts to deal damage to them X-potions insta kill them
Use potions to restore your HP when needed
Press up on the d-pad to move forward
There are missable companions once you leave Midgar, explore everywhere and if necessary use a guide.
Equip Deathblow together with Luck materia and you are set.
Barret's and Cait Sith's ultimate weapons are entirely missable. Don't sell accidentally sale them like I did Yuffie's because I'm dumbass or the double growth items, you can rebuy the double growth items but just keep them. Enemy Skill is actually useful since you have to keep cloud on your team its probably best to have equip it if you those skills. The game doesn't punish you for customize you're characters anyway you want. Anyone can be mage if you want them to be. Don't skip getting vincent or yuffie you can but you shouldn't.
Enemies have really good shit to steal while you're still in Midgar, but not so much after you leave. Make sure you try to steal from everything until then, you can get a big stockpile of ethers and equipment that you won't have access to until much later.
Yuffie and Vincent aren't missable. You can go get them even after getting to the bottom of the final dungeon. In fact, Yuffie's encounter rate gets higher the farther you get in the game.

ill give you the real advice OP
put tifa in the 3rd slot and in the backrow, and at the end of battle youll always get a nice closeup of her battle-titties
the game is made idiot proof for FF6 fans so you should have no problem finishing it unless the boredom manges to do you in
The game is retardedly easy you don't really need any tips.
That's still missable if you somehow avoid them till the end.
If a weapon has 255% accuracy, that means it won't ever miss. This even works with the Deathblow Materia, which is supposed to always inflict a critical hit, but has a 50% chance to miss. If you equip it on someone with an always-accurate weapon, Deathblow will always succeed.
You learn new Limit Break levels by killing enemies. I think each character needs about 200 kills to get their Level 3.
After you get an Enemy Skill materia, learn Matra Magic and Beta after getting out of Midgar. You should find out where without much trouble.
Once you master any materia a new one is created even for summons. You can sale a mastered All materia for a shit ton of money.
Having tons of gil is only useful for buying the villa in Costa del Sol, though.
The game is very easy unless you go to the config options and set the ATB to active and the battle speed to the fastest setting.
When you get in front to the Shinra Bldg., DO NOT use the left entrance. Use the front one.
>Cait Sith's ultimate weapons are entirely missable.
you can climb the wire to get back to shinra building to get cait sith
only barret missing score is missable
Are you emulation or playing an official port ?
not really, it helps with the chocobo breeding sub quest, considering you need to buy stables, a shit ton of greens and shit
Raising Chocobos can be a hell of a money sink, but selling one or two All Materia will still get you everything you need. It's absolutely absurd how much they sell for.
Attack while it's tail is up!
It's gonna counter attack with its laser!
Save on multiple files as you progress and don’t keep overwriting the same slot.
>any tips?
Don't get too attached to the characters...
Painfully unfunny.
yeah don't grind.
>d-pad
it's called DUALSHOCK®
You don't need any tips, the game is easy as fuck even by JRPG standards.
Fucking secondary. The original release didn't have analog support. Holy hell, I still have a blister scar on my left thumb from those days of playing 3D games on that fucking PS1 d-pad. Popped a big one fighting the final boss of Brave Fencer Musashi.
you will not be able to complete this game, it requires your attention and zoomers have none.
Of course both are missable, retard, even the final CG don't have them because of it.
but why
Mod it, specially the better fan translation.

dont level aerith
Name everyone Sephiroth
Fair enough. I tend to read "missable" as permanently missable. Yuffie and Vincent are optional, but you can never completely miss out on them, for clarification.
"all" materia is used to be paired with a spell to make it cast on all enemies/friendlies
beat the game and never knew this
dont be afraid to spend money on items you will end the game with way too much to spend
Dont worry about min-maxing, bring along people you think are relevant
Beta is too hard to learn. It will kill your guys except the one kicked out but you wont get the skill despite it saying so
only use deathblow with gods hand
worst final fantasy honesty
Please be trolling
i had no idea what all meant i thought it buffed all your other materia lol then i looked it up
No, Dualshock is the controller model. D-pad is short for "directional pad."
I did this, what a mind fuck it was
unironically might do this
Play the PS1 version on a CRT TV.
Keep assist on so you can see doors and paths. Also, download a mod pack that makes everything less pixelated.
Get everyone’s ultimate weapon. Also, keep your party small and don’t get guffaw or Vincent unless you want final battle part 1 to be a pain in the ass.
Don’t leave the bumble bee stripper place to save, you won’t be able to come back
