I'd imagine the people that did HW and Stormblood endgame content on launch got frustrated with each new update adding a new MSQ dungeon that most likely invalidated a lot of their endgame farmed gear.

It's not the same, in ARR and HW they made the best gear possible to be bought with your tomestones your respective AF and because of that you saw more people running around in their AF set.

It's a good thing, this way you will have people in the AF, people in the dungeon set, and people with the tome set. Everyone wearing the exact same set would be boring.

Additionally a new skill that replaces the first skill in your 6 button chain is added but ONLY if you land both the positionals of fang and claw and wheeling thrust. Something that can't be done solo and will not always be feesible in instanced content due to mechanics.

The usual. When an expansion starts I play for 2 months. Level all DOH/DOL to 80 and ty gen make money. Level all DPS classes to 80. I don't care about healer and tank jobs. After that I fuck off for a year. Comeback mid expansion to check if the crafting/gathering gear are the final gears for the whole expac. If it is, overmeld it to the max. G get just mah he money for ty fat one month. After that I fuck off again, and then coming back 1 month before the next expac to get ready.

I think when the servers are down for maintenance the night before you can start the download, this place will probably be active as all hell the night before release so you'll more than likely get notified when you can start downloading.

Nah, raiding is about the experience/glamour/mount. There's no reason to get a high ilevel besides making farming easier. All other content syncs down its ilevel so if you don't raid, primal gear/tomestome gear is all you need to not be a burden to your party.

Saw the spreadsheet last thread, decided to do one for MCH. They really made this class feel playable at lower levels. Heat Gen starts out the gate, you have your heat sink when you make the clas (30), your overheat filler at 35. Even in low level dungeons you have a oGCD to wave which get use to how the job might play at higher levels. The only thing is that nothing interacts with your battery guage till 80. Beast the shit out of gaining heat at 52 and no means to expend heat till 62.

If you're doing instanced solo content, then damage as a whole doesn't matter because that means you're doing job quests or MSQ instances. If you're doing dungeons or trials/raids, then if mechanics require you to not be able to land positionals, true north will save you because only a portion of the fight will be like that. DRG are fucking children when they have the easiest melee job, go play MNK if you want to know what it's like to have real positionals

Yes, Rook Autoturret and Queen Automaton work the same way, it gets upgraded into Queen. The only difference is that Queen's auto attacks are considered weapon skills and unless I'm wrong, she's integral to boosting the damage on Wildfire further, though someone said attacks from Queen dont' count towards wildfire potency apparently so I'm not sure.

Everyone was getting soul sucked into the first during Eureka, so Krile didn't get soul sucked because her storyline was still going on.

In ShB, Eureka's storyline will be over, so she'll be free to be part of the plot again. But since everything in the base content is in the First, she'll probably be relevant during the patches.

I played through all of the story content, hit level 70, played through the omega questline, and then unsubbed. There wasn't enough gameplay to keep me interested. 5/10 average game at best.

There are still PFs for the savage raids. They aren't as common as they were of course, but you should be able to get a learning party together if you want.

There are still EX parties too, mainly for people dog farming, but you might be able to get together a learning party for EX too.

You can solo all of the ARR EXs if you know what to do, but the HW EXs you still will need a party, not a full party for most, but more than just you.

You could level crafters. It's a big investment, but it's easily the biggest money maker in the game when there's fresh content. You should consider at least getting one crafter up to 70, though for the time being you pretty much need to level every crafter to 50 to optimally craft since crafters still have cross-class skills

You can access the expansion jobs if you buy a skip potion, for example.
Unless that skip potion was specifically for ACN, you will NOT gain access to Scholar.
It is entirely gated behind leveling ACN.

As someone who loved Ragnarok Online to death...

It's exactly the same thing in the context of what we're talking about. The problem they had with ACN going into SMN and SCH is that the ACN abilities had to go into both, which made it much more difficult to work with. Having to level ACN first wasn't something they cared about, just like they don't care that you have to level another job first if you want to unlock SAM. "Gating" a job like that is a non-issue.

Then go play Feast. Frontlines and Rival Wings isn't for you.
