If you don't have friends, well there are plenty of JRPGs for you. XC2 is pretty fun, so is Octopath Traveler. There are also a ton of RPG ports, so if you never got around to playing games like Tales of Vesparia and Dragons Dogma, there's a port for you. Splatoon 2 is fun if you like shooters.

Daemon X Machina is also coming out soon, if you are in to the customizable mech genre. FE: Three Houses is shaping up to be a good addition to the series as well.

The weird cyber-demons you fight and tame are called "Legions" and you can switch between the 5 of them on the fly. I have to imagine Chaos Legion was an inspiration, especially since Platinum is mostly ex-Capcom guys.

This is quite literally the least-Bayo action game they've done outside of Automata which was all over the place. You actually do some level of police work, the action has some light RPG elements, and the gameplay is really focused on positioning and your physical location relative to the enemy and you Legion.

V is weird because he barely attacks himself. Your main character has a lot of attacks and just uses the Legion as a supplement, like a secondary weapon.

Well when you're the part of the police meant to unleash your spirit monsters and go ham on demons from another dimension, then yeah I imagine that's a standard issue implement.

The PC is one of a specialized officer, sort of like a supernatural/sci-fi FBI. There's regular cops you interact with that exclusively handle pedestrian issues (although you have to handle things like that as well) and I think they just have a baton and a gun, but I might be wrong.

What's so complex about the normal DMC gameplay (i.e. not autists on Youtube doing shit 99% of people will never do and you never have to do for anything)? V basically has no gameplay, Nero has like two combos that are accessible and Dante, albeit complex, plays like shit with constant style and weapon switching. Not tom ention DMC dodge mechanics are absolutely horrible.
