I picked up Necrodancer since it was on sale. I like it, but either I'm really bad at this game or I can't calibrate it properly with my set up.

That Zone 1 Level 1 theme is 10/10 though.

PS4

Paperclip simulator

LOL

faggot with no taste

The whole OST is great. Cadence is amazing too, and much easier since you can bruteforce it. It gets easier the more you play, don't worry if your timing initially sucks.

youtube.com/watch?v=12R48a6DNz8

The shopkeeper makes it 10/10. Is it easier if I download the tracks and listen to them before playing it? Just to know what tempos to expect. I get caught out a lot at first.

>Man with no tastes.jpeg

Yeah, you can do. I also recommend checking out the enemy training area, so you can learn their movement patterns in a safe environment.

Cadence of Hyrule is super fun

Best song

youtube.com/watch?v=Wcvu9cyhz4s

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs. It's actually pretty good for an indie game. Tempted to drop it and finish BotW though

are there any fun rpgs with character creation besides fucking Skyrim and dragons dogma?

Playing MHGU, just made G2 urgent, is a pain in the ass because G is basically MP:the experience and doing this game with randos is painful.

I wanted to pick up DaS but I can't really justify buying that game for a 3rd time.

Need some Pinball FX3 friends so I can try and best your high scores

was playing fractured but whole, now back to some witcher 3

Maybe I'll play BotW or I'll keep watch Detective Conan. What should I waste my Sunday evening with?

your switch is going to overheat if you leave it burrowed in carpet like that.

>Detective Conan

My nigga. I only watching the yearly movie. Should I start watching the series too?

I don't have it downloaded yet, but it could be fun. I'll give it a shot.

depending on what episode are on the meitantei.

youtube.com/watch?v=yDpACm-WDeA is better

based, just got god of war after finishing days gone and monster hunter, hours of fun and i haven't even gotten the online yet
can't wait to get detroit and play it with my gf

Its not as good as this

give me my fucking themes nintendo

they must be planning it eventually. they have basic black and basic white.

That would be racist

I only started late last month. So far it's alright.
458

Shit son.... that was almost 2 decades ago

Atleast tell me you arelady know what Silver Bullet is.

I bought a switch like a week ago. Games are so damn expensive on this thing coming from a PC fag. Even the sales are like $5 off $80 games at best.

How do you guys afford to have these fuck huge libraries without just dumping trucks of money into Nintendo coffers

Isn't that a code name used for people who are dangerous for the organization? shuichi and kudo (vermouth only?)

Guys I just spent well over $200 on Switch stuff this past week
Someone stop me

Buy digital, use offers and make sure to collect the Points for additionally saving money in the future.

It really is the only way!

They are either old fucks which is why people make fun of nintendo users or they dont have a pc or any other system

Is Caligula effect good? How does it compare to shit like smt or persona

Currently playing breath of the wild. It's my first zelda game and it's great. Waiting for super Mario maker and marvel ultimate alliance to be released

Owning it for two plus years

So which two games did you buy?

I basically exclusively game on Switch after my gaming PC bit the dust, I do what said, and I live like a fucking pauper otherwise. Video games and to a lesser extent peripherals like headphones and controllers are the few things I'll splurge for.
Doing digital and gift card offers is no joke. I got MUA3 and Mario Maker for 25% off each basically by buying $100 worth of eShopbux for $90 and buying 2 vouchers. You can also do stuff like buy digital codes for games on sale on Amazon and get the full gold points amount rather than the sale amount like Nintendo would give you.

Stop projecting. Alot of Switch owners own more than one console.

Want to get the Mana Collection and Cadence for coop but they both seem kinda overpriced.

>two games
Har har

Games
>Mario Maker 2
>Hollow Knight
>Celeste
>Necrodancer
>MUA3
Other
>SN30 Pro
>Homespot bluetooth adapter
>3 3.5mm aux cables
>Belkin rockstar aux splitter
>Fiio BTR3
Might as well explain the audio stuff now
The audio stuff is me finally breaking down and getting a bluetooth setup going for my Switch. I just got moved to night shift (construction) so I wanted a way to play on the big TV with headphones and without wires so I don't wake up my dog or my roommates + don't worry about anyone tripping on or destroying a cable. The BTR3 and Homespot both support APTX-Low Latency, and the Rockstar can work as a splitter to connect the headphones to the bluetooth transmitter and my phone at the same time for listening to podcasts or talking on Discord.

And this isn't to mention that I'm probably going to use vouchers for Astral Chain and some other game, then buy 4 sets of vouchers to sit on for future games.

The vouchers expire after a year. There's no guarantee there'll be eight $60 games that interest you enough (and are worth full price) in that timespan. I'd settle for two sets, maybe three max, and play the rest by ear. Remember that they exist to save you money; don't make rash decisions that could cost you more just because the opportunity is running out. That's how they get you.

I just bought FF7. Never played it before, or more like finished. I got up to around the point where you see a big snake impaled on a tree.
Not playing it right now though, I'm playing Breath of the Wild. First Zelda game I've ever played since switch is the first Nintendo console I've really owned.

I've been playing Dead Cells. I really need something new to play, Smash got dull real quick

you seem like a person who never has any free time and because of that you have 0 personality

>projecting this hard

How the fuck did I miss that they expire after a year?
Yeah whatever. I'll use a set on Astral Chain and Luigi's Mansion and maybe buy 2 sets the day before they stop selling them. Thanks user

Smash. Practicing my fast fall with Luigi.

Waiting for BOTW to go on sale so I can buy it.

No worries, just trying to help. I was thinking about stocking up on a couple of sets too, but I also noticed that not every game is valid. Still worth grabbing a set or two before they disappear, but the details are deliberately hard to find for that exact reason. I can't wait to play Astral Chain, it looks great.

That's where you're wrong. I actually have a ton of free time, in fact, it's pretty much all I have since I'm currently a NEET because of various mental illness related issues.
Now go and stick your gigantic head up your loose asshole you fucking projecting fool.

Never happening.

>Breath of the Wild
>on sale
user, I....

Dilate you mentally ill tranny

just find a copy on craigslist or ebay. you can easily find it for like $20-30

got the RCM jig. now i am playing the entire switch library whenever and wherever i want.

Why lie?

don't reply to bait

Attached: file.png (480x480, 110K)

who the fuck would own a Switch without piracy?

is xenoblade chronicles 2 good?

have sex

What’s this voucher thing you guys are talking about

Got the wrong leg out of bed this morning? Jeez dude, if you're even half as presumptuous and arrogant as this in real life I sure wouldn't want to hang around you.

The voucher can unironically save you money if you’re a leaf

Mystic Quest again. I love this filter and hope that Dragon Quest 1-3 get released with it.

>Switch games
>going on sale
kek

I liked it a decent amount. Can be pretty hit or miss in the beginning, but it really picks up and the story turns out amazing and riveting eventually actually. The combat is also quite fun once you get further into the game and it's really fun to be pulling off all sorts of status effect combos and such.

Xenoblade 2. Chapter 6 and IMO it's better than BOTW.

what?
1 & 2 were the GBC enhanced black carts and 3 was the GBC only with no cutout for that sliding piece the original GB had

I'm just waiting for the physical versions of Cuphead and Bloodstained. Might buy MM2 but I'm not sure yet.

>he bought skyrim AGAIN

Attached: ff58b04e26a0881016630ab157f64178.png (493x497, 244K)

How are you playing that its not on the eshop

playing cadence. chocobo md is 20% off though, i’m tempted but i feel like it’ll go lower

see that mountain?

Attached: 10303.jpg (728x512, 81K)

The fuck are you on about? I’m wanting a theoretical e-shop release

It was released on the day of announcement at E3. The trailer literally says so!

Odyssey went on sale recently though

nothing because I sold mine

Odyssey was a financial disaster for nintendo.
Every switch bought for that game during the following holiday season has piracy.
I bet they wish they never released that game.

I just got a Switch, playing BOTW and got the paraglider

The fuck? How it sold millions no?
>Every switch bought for that game during the following holiday season has piracy.
I don't see how that has any correlation.

Just got around to katana zero which is fucking awesome. Easily a stand out among recent indies.

Imagine being so retarded you can only communicate through memes and shitposting.

Attached: none of these games count.jpg (909x702, 144K)

Is Mega Man 11 good? I've never played Mega Man before.

Also is Kirby Star Allies worth getting?

Is it still on sale?

I’ve been waiting for star allies to go on sale. Is $40 worth it?

Get the legacy collections instead, way more content for your money. I think they're on sale too. Either legacy 1 or X legacy 1, your choice.

There isn't a single good game in that list

don't reply to bait

Attached: 1499485496640.jpg (425x516, 135K)

>What are you playing
I never actually managed to play Breath of the Wild, so I'll be picking it up sometime this week. I hope it's good!

Attached: tumblr_olb465edat1tkzt0fo1_1280.png (925x842, 653K)

What are examples of some good games?

Unfortunately, no. I think it's still easily worth it at 15, but it is pretty short.

It is great but, believe it or not, you might get bored after playing for 100 hours straight. Strange I know

If you really like Kirby, sure. The game is rather underwhelming and absolutely not worth $60. $40 seems like an easier pill to swallow, but I personally wouldn't pay more than 30. Try the demo and see if it's something you're interested in.

There aren't any on Switch

Finishing Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk. I want more DRPGs, any good ones on the Switch?

Attached: 1555202994410.png (392x457, 204K)

Got a switch Wednesday
Been playing FF7

>Almost 15mil copies sold = disaster
Also Odyssey didn't allow for piracy to happen. You could buy a day one switch and be able to hack it. Odyssey has nothing to do with it

Wow, not a single one of those games are any good. Impressive waste of money.

Tropical Freeze is so fucking good, best platformer I've played in years just from the controls and level design

Go to a different thread.

Literally just got my switch today, having blast with Odyssey.

I bought it now just to play Mario Maker

Fantastic music too.

We heard you the first time, faggot. Here's that attention you so desperately crave.

Attached: stop liking what i don't like.png (819x568, 81K)

New Switch owners, please overcome your justifiable immediate hatred for all things involving rabbids and give this a shot while it's on sale. No kidding, this puts most of Nintendo's own releases to shame as far as console optimization goes, and it's also pretty fucking fun to play.

Attached: 5909500_sd.jpg (616x1000, 112K)

legit 10/10 game

Lanota. I think this was on mobile devices, but I don't have a phone or a tablet. It's pretty fun.

Playing BOI and Shovel Knight. Really need to stop playing BOI and work through my backlog but it's great.

Think i'm going to pick up MHGU since it's half price digitally.

I need to get back to this sometime. I went on a mass purchasing spree a couple of weeks ago and forgot I owned this game because it got pushed off the main screen.

Well what are some?

I'm waiting for this to go on sale, or for a good deal on the gold edition

What you pre ordered bros?
Me:
MM 2
Fire Emblem limited edition
Dragon quest builders 2
Collection of Mana

Attached: 1470735925218.jpg (650x629, 93K)

I got Blaster master zero 2, Lapis Labyrinth and Cadence. I finished blaster yesterdayThe final battle pissed me off to no end,i kind of fallen out of Lapis, might play it again soon, and i an currently enjoying cadence. Hope people find the 5th character soon. My switch will get so much love the next couple of months. From Astral, to Three houses, to Luigi,to super mario maker 2,to link's awakening it seems like every month i will have to make a purchase on the system. Daemon still has to impress me, MUA 3 is on the watch list and Pokemon i will do everything in my power to keep myself from buying. As much as i love the series, the thing Matsuda is doing deserves no money from me.

It is literally 67% off right now.

>Switch thread. What are you playing?
Can't afford one.

Attached: 1538915665567.png (418x280, 104K)

Played BotW as my first switch game and ended up addicted to it. It's not a 10/10 game but the open world isn't really as empty as they meme it up to be. Fuck walking though, it's slow as hell. Practicing VS CPUs in Smash Bros as well.

Not currently playing anything, but I'm excited for MUA3 and Fire Emblem. If my shitty 3rd world currency allows me, I'll probably get another set of vouchers in July so I can grab Astral Chain and either Daemon x Machina or Dragon Quest.

60 bucks equals a bit over a fifth of the monthly minimum wage in my country, send help

MHGU is absolutely worth a buy, even at full price. I already have 200h with the game, and have only just gotten to the point where I can fully experiment with armor and work towards late game sets. I absolutely love it. It has one of the most active multiplayer scenes on switch too, and a welcoming community. If you have any trouble post in a switch thread and we can give you a hand. Having said that, all content in the game is fully beatable solo.

Skyrim

currently playing pic related. its my first real MH game after playing WORLD and im really enjoying it.

Attached: H2x1_NSwitch_MonsterHunterGenerationsUltimate_image1600w.jpg (1600x800, 430K)

I can't wait bros. It's going to be great

Attached: herom.jpg (1200x658, 243K)

Hollow Knight! its fun. everything is infected with yellow slime now, which is less fun.

Sounds great, thanks.

In BotW you gotta take advantage of high cliffs for sailing across shit, or if it's grassy and/or raining you shield surf down hills. The horse is also more practical for early game exploration.

Is Celeste fun or overrated?

I barely remember any of the tracks because I have to focus like crazy on the gameplay, but yes the soundtrack is a huge highlight in a game that's nothing but highlights
Maybe not the best open world gameplay but easily the best open world out there. Every single area has cool landmarks and something to find there. I put 100 hours into it before beating the main story. The climbing mechanic is arguably one of the most genius additions to Zelda

its a hidden gem that can cure any mental illness

Yes.

It does one very specific kind of platforming very well, so if you're into that then you're getting a really good chunk of content.

Bros, I've never played a Mario game before. Should I get Odyssey? It's kinda expensive since I've never played a Mario game before, but if it's really good it could be justifiable.

I'm interested in getting a Switch. Should I buy one now or wait for the pro model to come out?

Wait for super mario maker 2

I've just paid the ridiculous sum of £30 on the e-shop for Resident Evil 4.

This better be good, lads...

Attached: perhaps you can resist but you cannot disobey.png (1920x1080, 1.32M)

>Maybe not the best open world gameplay but easily the best open world out there. Every single area has cool landmarks and something to find there. I put 100 hours into it before beating the main story. The climbing mechanic is arguably one of the most genius additions to Zelda
>find chest
>oh it's only trash
>find something that looks off
>just fucking korok puzzle
The world sucks ass, but the game play is really good imo.

Gliding is addicting but having to climb really tall mountain walls or just barely making it and having to walk a bit more is frustrating. The horse is convenient but I'm barely near any stables so most of the time I just don't bother. Shield surfing is a thing I haven't tried though.
The best part about the game is going literally anywhere. I've done at least 3 trips to Ganon's castle and explored half the map, and I haven't even beaten Ruta yet.

finished cuckhead the other day so got nothing else to play but maybe mhgu, maybe pick up DQB2 next month

It's one of the best 3D platformers so yes I recommend playing it

Depends entirely on whether you like leisurely 3D platformers. It's not a game constantly demanding precision or very punishing on failure, it's a laidback exploration platformer for about 90% of the game.

What are you watching?

I think it's one of the best, if not the best, third person action shooter ever made.

Guess not unfortunately

Attached: 1555600980878.jpg (250x250, 6K)

When is it safe for me to go explore the castle? I got 6 hearts

One of the best games ever made (at the time), but not sure how it'd hold up for someone playing for the first time today. Most people have a layer of nostalgia to get past the strange controls, but I'm sure you'll adapt quickly. Try and unlock all the extra weapons as well, it should at least double your hours with it. 30 quid's pretty steep but it's a really solid game.

Not him but you can explore the castle at any time. You may want to get shield parrying down for the guardian lasers at first, but aside from that it's pretty easy to explore.

Cool, might go find that recipe in there then.

It’s a shame they didn’t add motion aiming - the wii version is a thing of beauty. Enjoy your first foray into the village and report back here when you’ve had your arse well and truly handed to you. It’s fucking great.

So in Secret of Mana does it matter if I go to the ice place or desert first? It's been awhile since I last played this.

Have you gotten the giant horse yet? Horse riding becomes a lot more fun with it.

Attached: youplaynintendo.png (1864x1545, 2.24M)

same , awesome game

Experiencing the village for the first time is special. That area was enough to keep me hooked til the end.

Beat RE4 Professional mode
>Waste an hour trying to kill Krauser
>Think I'm glitched or some shit since he literally refuses to die
>mfw You just use the knife
>mfw He's the second easiest boss behind the final boss
I know some people are going to tell me "Oh well the cutscene's were hinting this the entire time" but in a cutscene Leon had a fucking grappling hook, so I just assumed it was typical cool cutscene stuff you can't actually do which Capcom is famous for.

Attached: contemplative jazz.gif (600x502, 210K)

Cry more pls.

DQ 11 can't come soon enough.

If you like exploring large open levels, solving puzzles and doing platform challenges to collect shit in order to move to the next level you're gonna like it. If you wanna collect everything in a level it's gonna get really challenging but if you just wanna go through the story it's a pretty relaxing game
I tried to wait until after E3 but I caved and don't regret it. Just make sure you have a handful of games you want to play, the games are what makes the Switch great

Animal Crossing can't come soon enough
SMT5 can't be resurrected ever

Never played AC but it looks comfy as fuck.

there's Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon, Moero Chronicle, Sega Ages Phantasy Star
then in August there's Omega Labyrinth Life, but you need to import it

Can anyone post the upcoming releases picture please.

Not in my region - Europe

it's all about planning ahead
you don't get to make your move when you want to, the music forces you
have every action planned out well in advance, and get in the habit of countering enemies, play each zone as many times as you need to until you feel you've mastered them

I really wanna play CoH but I ain't gonna blow 20 bucks on it when it'll likely be on sale in the not too distant future

>not having multiple accounts for different regions to get the best deals

Last E3 i was pretty underwhelmed, but i gotta say after this E3 and after watching a lot of treehouse, i finally found the games that are gonna make me buy a switch.
I'm joining the switch gang

Which games convinced you to buy one?

>ctrl f
>no vesperia
ok

Attached: Vesperia.jpg (1280x720, 187K)

Playing moonlighter, also bought crypt of the necrodancer, history 2048 and collection of mana. Still to start them

>Demon X Machina

Anyone getting this? The demo was terrible but apparently they have improved it a lot.

SWITCH GANG

>any property related to nintendo in any direct way going on sale ever

Youll be waiting for a decade.

Astral chain , daemonXmachina and luigi's mansion 3

look man i'ma be real with you, most of your time in botw is just going to be running from one place to another. or spending 20 minutes opening up a shrine to do puzzles that take like 30-40 seconds.

Every game on PS4

MY FUCKING SWITCH DELIVERY GOT DELAYED AND I HAVE FUCKING NOTHING TO DO FOR DAYS

Attached: 1540490406040.jpg (558x408, 59K)

Me. I really liked the big robot fight in the demo.

>there have been THREE games in this series since RE4
>not a single one of them is anywhere near as good

Attached: 1383246772954.gif (445x310, 2.73M)

Literally me. I bought one in Friday and have been playing BOTW since. Can't wait to get proper into this

Fuck, time to reinstall.

I bought RE4 6 times in my lifetime and haven't got bored of it. It's a perfect game

Not getting the switch version cause no gyro aim

Attached: 1476551162308.jpg (610x885, 38K)

How's the Contra Collection lads?

waiting on my sd card to come tomorrow for it, I thought I was gonna go mostly physical games but it's just cheaper and better to go digital and I burned through my space quickly after that decision

Nothing. I bought a 3DS instead.

Just as fine as the castlevania one from what I've seen.

go finish your backlog user

Attached: 1523232608856.png (400x400, 65K)

I just beat my brother in Super Mario Party. He’s 8. I’ve been playing Cadence of Hyrule mostly.

hoping to buy TSA soon, but what are some games i should try as well. I played Odyssey, BOTW, XC2, Splatoon2, Fire EMblem WArriors

I am, but all I do is trying to fix New Vegas for the billionth time

I swear I've spent more time modding and fixing F:NV than playing it. Never had this trouble back in 2008 on my fucking thinkpad in windows XP

Attached: 1553274461273.jpg (921x640, 100K)

Why does this game have so many feels bros? I care more about these characters than I have for almost any modern game. I didn't ask for these feels.

Ashley gets way too much shit. The fact she ducks when you're shooting already makes her better then half of most other NPC's and escort missions.

The only time it get's annoying is that one area. You know the one.

It is pretty great.

Wait what the fuck happened to my image? not calling your post bait, pic related was the one I post

shame about the other guy, now he's getting BTFO

Attached: 1553274461274.jpg (915x636, 168K)

Anyone played that new Fear Effect game? its on sale for a pretty deep discount

The GB filter makes me happy inside. Play it for 5 minutes just for a laugh, user.

R.I.P. Amanda; she does for the greater good.

M-moot?

>Kirby Star Allies worth getting?
Kirby Star Allies is the Infinity War of the Kirby franchise.

It's only really good if you've been invested to the franchise for years and its lore. If not then you won't get much enjoyment.

Nothing. The weather is terrible.
>pic related
But when it's not, Romancing SaGa 2 and Picross S3.

Hyrule warriors. It makes fire emblem warriors look like phoned in trash

I'd like to know too. It looks alright.

she just got a lot of shit because people didn't think it was super badass to have a little girl following you around the entire game.

You should check out Bayonetta 2 if you haven't already

>The fuck are you on about? I’m wanting a theoretical e-shop release
with the GB filter for a game with a GBC pallet and one that was only playable on GBC

I just got gifted a switch and it's a newer serial so I can't jailbreak, is this thing worth keeping? I don't really play vidyagaem especially not consoles so I'm thinking I should just sell it.

Squaresoft were next-level man. The limitations of 8bit were nothing to them. They packed depth and story that was even shockingly mature and well-realized for the graphics used to depict them.

But it added to the tension since it forced you to play smart and aware, which is what RE4 is all about.

For most of the game the best way to protect Ashley is just common sense
>Oh hey, there's this creep with Wolverine hands down in the basement locked up
>Yeah, I'm sure it's okay if Ashley is down there with him

>I don't really play vidya
Why are you even here then?

How do I know which is the newer model of a switch? just checking

Square needs to do another DQ1-3 collection and officially licalize the super famicom versions.

Been playing some MHGU myself. I thought it'd be hard to go back from World but it's been fairly easy a transition. Only problem is the online. It's populated with fucking chinamen who don't know anything just like World is, at least as far as low/high rank is concerned, and of course in a post-World experience nobody knows how to properly take turns with quest and everybody fully expects you to rank them up nonstop.

Attached: Zinogre Fucks Off.webm (1280x720, 1.14M)

Trust me I get that, but RE4 was so good that I think a lot of folks ran through it as a sort of badass secret agent power fantasy.

It's a gift. Don't be ungrateful.

How far are you? I'm down to play if you post a room.

Stop. You suck at this. You're a faggot.

Titan Quest because im a fucking retard and never played Baldurs Gate or NWN so i need a similar game to play before they come out so i dont gimp myself with a shit build due to not knowing what the fuck im doing.

is fun.

Seething

Titan Quest isn't anything like Baldur's Gate, user.

>buy used switch games from gamestop
>activate them to your my nintendo account for the gold points
>return used games for your money back (they are obliged to accept full refunds no matter what on used games, if they give you lip don't give an inch just demand your shit back)
>Buy whatever the fuck you want on eshop using the gold points
The thing is you should only buy what you actually want to play, as a fellow steamfag I used to horde a shitload of games I didn't really want to play and some I actually already owned on GoG or humble bundle.

>astral chain, Deamon X Machina, DQXI and Zelda release within a month
ffs, there was pretty much no games that interested me in the first half of the year and now every single one is releasing september

Heh... you sure told him.

Are you drunk? I’m just talking a pixel/scan line filter not a literal green/gray palette you utter pedant

I expect to railroad through ranks or mat grinding in my hubs. But that's because I only play with friends and they all hit G rank years ago.

This is Dragon Quest, right? Is there a DQ collection or something or do you have a hacked console?

Nigga they're on sale RIGHT NOW

Been mostly playing Smash and Rocket League. Waiting for DQ XI to release. Astral Chain also looks interesting. And there's Mario Maker 2 as well. Why did none of these release in the first half of the year? I've also been interested in trying out Stardew Valley multiplayer since that got added but I have no one to play with.

its collection of mana for the switch its $40

Will any of these series get new games for Switch?
> Chibi-Robo
> F-Zero
> Pikmin
> Starfy
> Advance Wars
> Custom Robo
> Dillon's Rolling Western
> Golden Sun
> Wario Land
> Sin & Punishment

If not, Switch is going to be one of the worst consoles of all time, literally no excuses Nintendo, make at least one of these get a Switch game.

pic unrelated

Same here user, astral chain literally releases on my birthday
>demon x machina releases 14 days after
This shit gonna be fucking great

Its called "internally debating to get FF7 while its on sale or not". The game.

I only want this for the DK dlc which is fucking bullshit because they don't bundle it physically in the US.

I’d recommend MHGU, but if you play a dude you’re gonna be covered in full body armor.

>$40

Attached: 1559759765786.png (464x485, 18K)

I'm playing demos on the e-shop because this console has no fucking games holy shit.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is kinda fun in a Musou kind of way.

Really wish the switch was a good console...I'm waitin for fire emblem and breath of the GOTY 2

Trials of Mana.
Great game but I wish it held my hand more desu
Just in the sense that I’m roaming around empty castles to find the person to talk to

I've logged a lot of hours in that game

Pikmin is Miyamoto's baby. It'll eventually get one out of sheer favoritism.

I wouldn't hold my breath for anything else on your list.

Poorfag. It has a game never released in English before, it’s definitely worth $40

I guess they finally heard the "no games" complaint.
Now if ONLY they could give a release date for SMT5

see
damota.me/ssnc/checker
I know I'm an asshole, but I know it's just going to gather dust if I can't pirate or load emulators on it. it just sounds like Nintendo has this shit on lock so a new exploit seems unlikely.

Because they know people will eat up the newly officially localized version of Seiken Densetsu 3 (Now called Trials of Mana because Koichi says it is) even though somebody extracted the rom and it's floating around on the net already.
You're gonna buy it anyways though because you're gonna support the Mana series, right? I fucking hope you do.

is mario ace tennis any good? it's 33% off now only reason I'm considering it but never seen anyone talk about it

Just finished aot2 (actually good game, feels a bit cheap with the graphics sometimes but the gameplay is fluid af)
still got a bunch of shit to go through, but currently going through va-11ha11-a, disgaea and valkyria chronicles

Give it a couple of months. Worst case scenario an exploit doesn't come out and you can still sell it for the same price. Switches hold their value.

I've never played it. And its cheap now. Hm.

This is seiken densetsu/final fantasy adventure/mystic quest or the first of the Mana games. ARPG with final fantasy elements in it which then gave rise to its own thing with Secret of Mana and SoM2 now retroactively titles Trials of Mana. They were in glorious Nipponese up till E3 now in Bong/Americlap. They’re a little dated but beautiful games with top notch music.

Imagine owning a PS4 right now.

Switch has like 5-10 GOTY contenders coming out in the next 6 months.

Xbox has 5 GOTY contenders coming out on Game Pass in the next 6 months.

PS4 has one game that could turn out a bigger failure than any game ever

Just played the demo of that shite, its kinda fun.

How long is the game? How many stages/missions?

>25$ for Zelda Nercodancer is too much
Point and laugh at this poor fag

Attached: E0DD54B2-9A3F-47FC-A429-2FAD28D3659E.gif (560x526, 310K)

it has 3 games but yeah pretty high

>Switch has like 5-10 GOTY contenders coming out in the next 6 months.
It only has Fire Emblem, its the only good game coming out during this entire year.

Beat the final boss of BotW after putting it off for months.
Fucked around on Smash quickplay with my boy Lucario.
Playing through the first Bayonetta and getting Stone awards because I keep dying like a moron even though my combos are decent.

Seriously why no gyro?
Fucking RE Revelations had that shit and it came to switch 1st

$25 is too much for any indie game.

Attached: 1549576943395.png (620x357, 305K)

Games are like £40 brand new user. If you can't spend a couple hundred at least per month on your hobby you need a new job and/or hobby

Not him, but I'm down to play. If you guys feel like doing something count me in.

How can you own a Switch and not be excited for Astral Chain

Lads is there an 3.5mm Y cable that works with the switch? Want to sometimes plug my headphones into it but keep my 2.1 system connected as well.

Because its made by the fags behind Bayonetta, which is a poor man's Metal Gear Revengeance.

I'm not excited for it. I will wait for you fags to play it to convince me otherwise.

Did they fix the horrendous airspeed from the demo?
Zooming around the ground and then floating like a giant fucking target when I jumped was not fun.

I don't own one and i'm fucking hyped as fuck

bought a 500gb SD card, such a relief not having to uninstall games anymore

>ui looks like Mac OS 9
>shield looks like it's made of legos
what am I looking at here?

Post more lewd Pikachu

Even the game boxes on those ports themselves are massive red flags. What a shit redundant system, but at least they tried to warn you.

>Bayonetta, which is a poor man’s Metal Gear Revengeance

Watch the treehouse, they fixed a lot of stuff from the demo

get NWN1 on switch that will keep you busy for the rest of your fucking life

quite a few imo, but i finished the game in 20ish hours (still got the dlc maps to go through), admittedly ull be doing the same thing over and over, with a bunch of little gimmicks thrown like controlling titans and outposts, its the same guys that made dynasty warriors so if u played those u should know what to expect.

also i would assume playing the multiplayer is probably fun but hacked switch so prob will never try it

Been trying to play XB2 but I hate how weak I feel even after 20 hours that it's just not that fun to play.

that's good to know. sounds like a good plan.

>NWN1

neverwinter nights?

Astral Chain
Mario Maker 2
Fire Emblem
Links Awakening
Daemon ex Machina

holy SHIT, I can't wait for this and astral chain. I unfortunately missed the demo. This looks sick.

Will SRW T have an English translation? How expensive is it?

Daemon ex Machina looks like a poor man's Armored Core. I will wait for you fags to play it before I get hyped for it.

The only good game out of those is Fire Emblem, liked I said.

>links awakening
>Mario maker
come on now

at least the mecha games look good on a superficial level

hey niggas, this is the thread for me. i thought /vg/ would have a switch thread, but nope!

Recently wanting to dust off the switch with all this great e3 news and announcements. I picked up that satisfye grip that was on sale about 1-2 weeks ago. It's really good and the switch fits in there snugly. Highly recommend it.

Also I picked up a wireless router for my bedroom ($17 on ebay) and a cheap $9 ethernet adapter so my switch is ready for some online games handheld and docked. Super excited now.

I think I have almost every accessory I want, except I still yearn for the SNES style 8bitdo. I loved the SNES controller back in the day, and it also functions like a procontroller.

now i need to buy some games... the irony is that i've always been looking for all the best deals for good switch accessories. But I still feel like I'm overpaying for the games.

Attached: Satisyfe-Grip-Front-and-Back.png (800x858, 747K)

>look mom I posted it again!

You’re in a comfy switch thread, son. It’s only your own time you’re wasting.

I actually can’t believe NMH3 is happening.

Attached: FD3AC964-5E0B-423C-A565-DCEB936E0689.png (400x503, 126K)

There's a SEA version with english subs. Since the Switch has no region lock, it works on US/PAL consoles. Right now, it's available on Amazon with Prime for $85. You can probably find it cheaper elsewhere, like playasia, but I had a giftcard to burn so I got it on Amazon.

I want to get the ethernet adapter but dunno which one to get cause I don't trust 3rd party much. Which is the cheapest and effective?

Attached: 1465063882981.jpg (888x666, 307K)

Based. Phantasy Star 4 is the best Phantasy Star.

A lazy port of a 3DS game that uses 17 year old PS2 assets right down to texture resolution, with footage converted to a poorly encoded webm

Attached: Shield Assault III.webm (1280x720, 1.49M)

UGREEN one is decent. Works perfectly for me and only cost £9.

They're all garbage because usb 2.0, don't even bother unless you absolutely cannot get a wifi signal out of the switch.

Poor man's God Hand.

NMH never clicked on me.

Yeah, I know. Koei Tecmo is a hard to forget name.

What is the level up function for? I might get it, I'm starving for games.

SEA version huh? Thanks brother! I'm excited for the return of GaoGaiGar.

yes. i know people rag on the NWN1 campaign because it cribs a lot from the D&D handbook but it's fun just to Persuade every NPC for more loot or not to fight you, and then steal everything not nailed down like you're in a bethesda game. except in NWN you can break down doors and smash open chests if they don't let you pick them.

So what the fuck happened to switch online? did they really just drop tetris 99 and that’s it? don’t tell me they’re STILL giving nes games

Post a room and I'll hop in. I don't have an endgame set built yet, but I should be good for all content so post anything you like.

Here you go user

Attached: D9CVAjpUIAADw-8.jpg (1020x2048, 536K)

But wouldn't it be ideal to have a connected network? I don't get it

I dont have a shit Wifi but you're confusing me

Are indie games exclusive to the shitch in your retarded nintendildo mind?

How's oninaki?
>sakuya
has this game finally received a release date? the gameplay shown was pretty cool

this game is an rpg with action gameplay, so leveling works like the usual rpg.
u can buy/upgrade/refine ur gear, obtain skills (that u attain from maxing out socials with the series characters and extras) and pick which ones u one with want with skill points u gain from leveling, as well as getting a general stat boost from leveling u can also upgrade stats by training

oh and u can upgrade ur garrisons, i assume all of this shit carries over in the multiplayer

The NES has a large library.

I was interested too until I saw reviews for it online. Shame really it looks fun

Daemon X Machina is being developed by prominent members of the old AC team, including the producer of AC2 and 3. It really does feel like playing a modern version of the older PS2 titles.

I've been thinking of picking one up for a while now I can afford one. But I keep feeling conflicted. I want MHGU but I've already played half the game before because I have MHG on my 3ds. I don't know if I want to start from scratch or import my save because fuck playing the low level village quests again.

I also want to play Xenoblade 2 because big titty sword wife. Pokemon S/S hopefully won't be garbage too but other than that I don't even know if I want any other games. Don't care about zelda or mario. Maybe smash?

>Animal Crossing won't support cloud saves
>Can't play with your friends in Mario Maker 2, limited to random matchmaking
>Splatoon 2 is shutting down next month
>Entire VC library consists of a dozen NES games

It's Nintendo, what the fuck did you expect? I like my Switch but you're honestly a retard if you paid for online

ah, well that's a relief.

I bought it and have been having tons of fun with it, still can find matches really quickly too.

On a side note hows the ffx port on switch? Its cheaper on ps4 right now but i like having the portability on switch so im not sure which console to get it on.

>Can't play with your friends in Mario Maker 2,

They went back on that, you can now.

man im jelly! I'm gonna set aside like 150~200 to get some good games.

i was lookin for a controller in 2017 that was both portable and could function like the pro controller. and they announced the 8bitdo. it's freaking perfect.

can you recommend smashbros for a casual? I used to play smashbros with my sis like 15 years ago. but now im alone, it doesn't have the same impact playing against cpu.

Basically the ethernet adapter is the same shitty slow ass one the Wii U used, like the exact same one just rebranded for switch, so it's not actually more reliable and can even be worse since Switch has a really strong 5GHz wifi antenna in it.

I hate smash for its shit netcode what fighter should I get that runs like it's not SF4 vanilla

Doesn't it launch, like, next week? Is there going to be a day-1 patch or are we going to be waiting for months?

The 28th. Either it'll have a patch, or they'll just change it last minute. Either way you'll be able to play with friends day one.

>Splatoon 2 is shutting down next month
It's not shutting down it's just not getting splatfests which are shit anyways.

Import your save and continue. MHGU still feels completely fresh- I imported my save and already have another 200h in GU.

Attached: EH.png (1303x2048, 3.26M)

nothing. games here are 100 bucks. the console is 400 for old hardware that warps in the dock (and goes yellow if it gets too hot). I can buy a ps4 and games for less than it costs to get one switch and zelda.

thanks I think I may get it while it's on sale, I need more games that I can just pick up and play for a short amount of time and tennis seems like a good one

no idea on any of the ff on switch though I haven't gotten them

Dauntless and that shitty looking Dark Crystal game of all things? You sure are weird.

Well, it's easy to tell your tastes, I'll give you that.

based as fuck, it's cheaper than the switch now too (including games and controllers)
I mean shit, a dualshock is 49.99 here, joycons? 89.99. get fucked Nintendo.

I had no idea the guys behind the Armored Core games left From Software.

No wonder they make garbage fantasy games nowadays.

I will buy Daemon X Machina solely to support them. Let's hope the game is good!

Thanks user. Gonna buy this it to pass time.

The games you want to play are complete garbage user.

This post is bullshit, They backpedaled on the "no playing with friends online" thing after bashlash hit them. And Splatoon's servers aren't shutting down anytime soon. Stop spreading false information to fuel your narrative.

Shit taste.

I like monster hunter, and the 3DS port the Switch has is shit.

Thanks!

I would be hyped for the last remnant if I didn't own it on PC, same with Ni No Kuni.

definitely a Nintendo fan

Travis Strikes Again. Picked up Hollow Knight on sale so might start that.

Attached: 08.jpg (1280x720, 346K)

I am so happy about this. This was literally my dream announcement. Now all I need is Elite Beat Agents 2 and I can die happy

>I like monster hunter, and the 3DS port the Switch has is shit.
Playing epic's f2p fortnite looking ripoff is nowhere near better.

Does the remaster even add or change anything? I was semi interested when I saw it pop up during E3 but there's not really any point in owning it again if it's the same exact game.

I hope youre having fun user, I beat TSA near the end of the semester, but I really need to go back and beat the dlc sometime, it looks really fun.

I'm seriously about to buy the mana collection, but I've never played one. Does the gameplay and story hold up? I really hope it's got great emphasis on exploration.

At the very least, it will look like a Wii game.

Playing a 240p game on a 4k TV is disgusting.

Mostly Splatoon 2 and Puyo Champions. Dont want to play story-based games right now, im trying to avoid creating a backlog because theres more games I want that are coming out this fall.

Attached: 75C9666C-32D7-413B-B50C-CF0EDC55E490.jpg (1482x2048, 292K)

How do you play a console?
>mfw Snoy nigger can't even come up with a game on PS4
poetic, is it not?

It's not the follow-up I wanted, but I'm enjoying it. Great music too.

You do know the resolution isn't fucking 240p right? Yeah the assets are still the same old PS2 shit, but you aren't literally playing in the same 3DS resolution. What the absolute fuck are you on about?

>choosing graphics over gameplay

Attached: 115.png (309x403, 194K)

> ff7 is one of my fave games
> own it on every platform its been released on
> vow not to buy it again and focus on new releases
> releases on Switch, so can now play it on the go

Fucking hell here we go again I guess

I never played Skyrim, is it really that bad?

xenoblade 2

I felt the same. The combat is fun, but I definitely miss NMH gameplay. Co op and messing with skill chips can be really fun though. I'm excited to see what elements, if any, they take from TSA for NMH3

Lulu, its a fucking delight. Miles above every other Atelier game in terms of presentation and quality. Pic not related.

Attached: IMG_20190607_183127.jpg (1280x720, 102K)

The gameplay mechanics of 4th gen MH is absolute garbage my dude.

World > 3rd Gen > 4th Gen

It's called accumulation. Anyone can have a sizable library when it's been built up over years.
As far as actually acquiring it - eBay and sales whenever possible. Before Amazon went full Jew, they used to have a decent 20% on all pre-ordered Switch games, likewise 20-30% for Best Buy.
Nowadays the only reliable way you're going to be getting your money back is through Limited Edition/print games.

am I allowed in the thread

Attached: switch.png (1210x907, 1.38M)

Why? There are plenty of Indie games I've got for cheap that would have happily paid 2x or 3x the price for as they were worth it

I wanna play MHGU regularly with some people and was wondering how to go about that, since I'm stuck on the HR3 advancement quest and people just seem to not care about handing off their cards at low level play.

Well it sure looks like it!

This bait is exquisite user, truly the bait of the day

well. fuck

You're not hurting anyone so yes.

>all these triggered non-idorts saying no taste
based baitpost

no your knees look weird

I’ve been shiny hunting in let’s go because even though sword and shield look bad I’m still going to buy them because I’ve been on this train for way too many shitty games to stop now, and I want to start out with some cool shinies. I bought tropical freeze on sale to play with my sister because she’s coming into town next week and we played dkc together religiously growing up. Also I’ll probably do another run through of cadence in a day or two because it was pretty fun.

what the fuck are you on about? Titan Quest is an entire different genre than Baldurs Gate.

And non-modded Titan Quest is fucking garbage. Just play Baldurs Gate you nigger, even some shitty computer from 1998 can play it.

Are you looking for some help? Drop a room ID and I'll come join you.

What should I pick up on the sale?
World of FF looks nice but I have never been very into FF so I would probably miss all the references
Atelier is cute, I'm all about cute girls. But these games are pricey yo.
Same deal for the Final Fantasy ports.
Is the Last Remnant good? I played it a bit on PC but couldn't understand how the combat worked.
I'm also open to suggestions.

Attached: ZxbUhV8.gif (500x600, 741K)

I'm telling you the assets are still old and dated yes. But they are absolutely running 1080 docked and 720 handheld. Do you even know what resolution is or do you just see old graphics and assume that's what that means?

I'd like to hack my Switch, but it's not really worth it to me until we're able to reliably be online with a hacked Switch since I play a lot of multiplayer stuff.

I see pixels and I instantly assume the game I'm playing is some 3DS port.

World of FF is very fun. Collecting all the monsters and building a team is satisfying, even if you don't know what's going on in the story. I'd say the references are more of a bonus, and the meat of the game is in the gameplay content. There's a pretty big coliseum area with optional battles, as well as endgame dungeons, sidequests, areas with skits and extra rewards, tons of stuff to keep you busy. Last Remnant is great too but you'll need to double check the mechanics on the wiki since in-game tutorials are barebones.

Mario+Rabbids
it's pretty fun so far but some of these extra challenges are bullshit, or probably need me to actually level up and have better weapons

there are already multiple F-Zero and Advance Wars clones on it

how's resident evil 1 on the switch ? Been on the fence about picking it up

I managed to put in 430 hours before getting burned out

Attached: DxJugg9VsAA99vw.jpg (1280x720, 76K)

Playing the waiting for it to go bellow $300

>even though sword and shield look bad I’m still going to buy them
You are the reason why all Pokemon games are shit
>I want to start out with some cool shinies
Pokemon transferring won't be available at launch, retard. Plus there's a good chance your shinies got cut from the Galardex.

I haven't bought a Pokemon game since Emerald and I'm going to buy Shield.
There's nothing you can do to stop me, user.

Well it's your lucky day!

Attached: switch_price_-_Google_Search_-_Opera_opera_2019-06-16_22-00-22.png (445x227, 17K)

What Switch GOTY contenders?

No one can decide that for you, user. They’re a product of their times gameplay wise but timeless in their aesthetic beauty. Grind the fuck out of them in the first few places - say level 5-8 before really starting then 2 levels in every new area if the enemies change. You’ll stay ahead enough to plod through at a reasonable pace.

>Advance Wars clones
which ones?

Attached: 1546904333452.jpg (640x512, 86K)

I got mine for 229 bucks NEW. Use offerup, Ebay, or Mercari you dong

Attached: 1489538096960.jpg (1419x1436, 73K)

when does the DMC1 port comes out?
I kinda want to give Devil May Cry a try.

why would you buy physical on the switch?
it must be a pain to juggle those cartridges

only excuse i can see is buying them second hand

i heard the game would crash every so often on the switch. did you have any problems with that?

You're a complete retard and I seriously hope, wish, and will even pray to gods I don't believe in for you to die before the game comes out.

Its time to put a stop to Gamefreak, not fellate them.

Picked up necrodancer and CoH yesterday, but I'm actually still trying to finish persona 5 (bought it on ps3 when the switch port was basically confirmed to not be happening).
I really want to finish it soon because the switch line-up over the coming months is looking pretty good.

I've switched to considering getting three houses, and then both astral chain and daemon X machina look good too.

haven't had it happen a single time on switch and i just started the aer krene thing in the third act

i'm going to be sad if my hackable switch suffers from hardware failure.

I want them to succeed just to make people like you mad
I don't give a shit about megaevolutions or Z moves, I don't care about dynomaxing. All these mechanics are fucking retarded. If they made a game that was just Gen2 spec on modern hardware my life would be complete.

Wargroove and Tiny Metal

Things get much better in HR4 onwards, in low rank people just want to push through as quickly as possible and start building high rank sets. Let me know if you want a hand with your urgent.

when the fuck was it about exclusives anyway you fucking mongoloid

How's the DLC for Shantae: Half Genie Hero? Pirate Queen and Friends to be specific.

Some people like to keep their games. Eventually the eshop will shut down and everything you bought will be gone.

How's emulation on the switch? Can you do PSP or GameCube

>nintendo is actually having a sale for once
wat 2 get?

Honestly I can't wait for Nintendo to announce a Switch Pro or something so I can hack my OG one so I can pirate games (mostly because lots of games I bought and dropped after 5 minutes) and emulated old games with portability.

I don't give a shit about of that shit you mentioned. I would also love a game with gen 1-2 and nothing else.
I'm not buying sword and shield because it isn't what you mentioned you wanted. It also looks like literal dogshit and the animation are has bad as the late games, which I didn't buy either. Good animations or fuck off, gamefreak.

Based

Are any of these shit games available on PC?

Is monster boy any good? Should i get it? Damn, there are a lot of metroidvanias out there these days. Which are the best?

Attached: 35E5C037-7DDC-459D-AE56-96261E8FC037.jpg (1920x1080, 446K)

couple of days ago i fired a guy because he used one of these during company React training. why are nintedoshits so insufferable

Should have been part of the base game. They help you get more content out of the game, but I'm not sure if I'd say they're necessarily worth the price.

i store them on SD cards, there's no DRM check on downloaded games afaik

Get Hollow Knight and The Messenger. They'll get you started.

Oh yeah, I'd hack my Switch in a heartbeat if that happened. Doesn't seem to be in the cards in the near future, though, and I'm thinking the Switch will have a definitive hack before new hardware releases at this rate.

Monster Hunter is always a safe bet, especially at the level of discount.
That or Mario + Rabbids

I will rape you
I'm not that interested in online stuff personally so that's why I took the plunge. In the future if I'm interested in online stuff I'll probably grab the new switch model and use that for all my online games while keeping my current one for pirated/emulation games
Me too I'm really hoping this will last me for a while
It's not bad. 64 emulation is still pretty early but there are some games that are playable. Paper Mario runs almost perfectly with a few frame drops when entering a building for the first time. A lot of games aren't working or are too slow to be playable. No Gamecube yet but I think a PSP emulator released recently, haven't been able to try it out but I'd love to be able to play Peace Walker in bed

ff7. press a button to have limit is fucking stupid.

Wargroove looks like western Fire Emblem for NERDS.
Tiny Metal looks good but
>hero units
Into the trash it goes.

I will continue the wait for more Advance Wars, thanks.

I’m going on a trip to burgerland in January and I’m prepared to buy a Switch, is there any chance of a price drop until then? Where’s the best place to buy? inb4 fucking GameStop

I was considering ff7 or ff9 pretty hard but I don't know if I'd be better off emulating so I bought Hyrule warriors to play as zelda.
Been playing the shit out of Splatoon 2 since i bought it the other week. My team won my first splatfest too :)

Playing FF7 for the first time. Definitely shows its age but the story but I am definitely in with the story.

what the fuck are you complaining about now?

>Switch thread. What are you playing?

Splatoon 2, basically getting myself back into match form for the last Splatfest after an 10 month break from the game.

Playing through Octopath Traveler. I'm enjoying it but I hate having to grind up levels with each of the 4 characters that aren't in my party when I want to continue their story. Would appreciate some tips for leveling.

First game I bought this sale even though I was not interested in it at allllll but the dev was adorable that other year E3 so I had to support him. Actually a really fun game!

Yes, combat is boring and sucks dick, story is shallow and every dungeon is bland and boring.

Music is really good though.

Anyone need help with their MHGU urgents?

I don't play Mario games.

Its very bad.

>Just to know what tempos to expect. I get caught out a lot at first.
There's a meter at the bottom to help your timing.

I picked up necrodancer for the 2nd time due to the switch port having all the DLC content.

I played the demo event for the new marvel game and I fucling loved it,so I preordered that and astral chain, mario maker, and daemon X machina.

Thank god I still have my best buy gamer membership

Nothing, just gonna finish up Octopath and then keep it sidelined until DQB2 and DQXI. I was gonna buy FFVII too make it a bit more relevant but I bought it for like 3 times less on the Vita anyway so RIP.

Please drop the price to at least 250

Seethe harder

lol

>want to get Collection of Mana
>preferably physical
>it's two fucking months away
fuck you squeenix

Check out TLR. It's fun and cheap.

Anyone have any experience ordering just a switch tablet from ebay?
Have a hacked switch and want to play online again so thinking I might go that rout since its only like $100

I never played FF7 (or any FF past 4 on DS), is it worth the price on Switch? Same goes for FF9, 10, 10-2 and 12.

What is Puyo Champions? I already own Puyo Puyo Tetris.

Just keep one or two lower leveled ones with you as you play through someone's chapter. They should catch up pretty quickly.

just bought crypt of the necromancer, what I'm for?

Boredom

A good roguelite.

it's puyo puyo tetris minus tetris, also with puyo puyo fever and a lot cheaper

unironically buy it through Facebook, I bought BotW some months later it released at $20 to some guy in the market.

>pre order
>ever
i shiggy diggy doo

Playing BotW once again after holding it off for months. I got sidetracked by SRW T and MHGU.

So it has the Fever game in it? But is otherwise not worth getting if you have PPT?

I'm a collector. I don't buy digital games unless it's a Steam Sale on PC. One of the biggest issues with the Switch to me is that buying physical for a lot of games is absolutely pointless. The most recent example of this is the Resident Evil collections. I've never played Resident Evil but I was interested in grabbing these and trying them. Turns out only Resident Evil 0 is on the cart, the other half of the collection is a one time use download code. Why even release a physical edition of the game at that point? Final Fantasy X collection is another example of this, as well as any of the Megaman collections.

Nintendo has probably the worse track record for online services for consoles out of the big 3. Look at the Wii vs the PS3, if I bought a PS3 game digitally I could still download it to this day (no idea if the PS4 plays PSone games, but my vita does). Compare that to the Wii Virtual Console. It doesn't exist anymore. It wasn't until very recently that your switch games were tied to the console not the user name.

It's unfortunate that companies either don't care or don't want to do proper physical releases for these games. There is no point in buying a good chuck of the Switch's physical library. LA Noire, Doom, Wolfenstein, Megaman, Resident Evil, Spyro, etc. Not to mention buying these games used is even more pointless. Surely I'm not the only one who feels this way

if you don't care about proper online balance or Fever it isn't worth it. The game has some other improvements over PPT but they are minor.

TLR?
If you have a Vita you can get it way cheaper and it's exactly the same, more portable if anything. So far it's a pretty great game so 10 bucks is probably a fair price, yeah I'd go for it. I'd only played 3 and 4 on the DS prior to this too, those remakes take their graphical style from 7.

>I only started late last month
>458
jesus christ man

The Last Remnant. It has a bad repuation due to the enemy scaling in the original 360 version, but it's been fixed in later releases. Tons of flexibility and a unique battle system; perfect as long as you're willing to check the wiki every now and then (a lot of mechanics are barely/poorly explained). It's really worth your time though.

God, how embarrassing

I couldn't care less about games that exist in other platforms or that I can pirate to try them.

I'm also not underage so I already played literally all the games you mentioned, some even decades ago.

post yours

this, no clue what that fagola is on about

Are the sega ages ports worth it? I have like 3 bucks worth of points so I might buy Phantasy Star or save up for Virtua Racing when it comes out

Huh, I'll check it out user - appreciate the suggestion, thanks.

Outrun is one of the comfiest experiences you’re likely to have

I've loved the two I own (Phantasy Star and Thunder Force IV). Phantasy Star feels perfect with the autodrawn map, and you can trim down the grind with Ages mode if you'd prefer. Try it out, you might like it.

The Mana Collection worth 40 Shekels or is it just Nippon tricks?

I'm hoping PSO2 gets a Switch port after it has it's time on Xbox. Microsoft seems somewhat open to putting games they fund on other platforms, and it would be the perfect game for Switch.

It's very, very erratic about when it chooses to crash, to say the least

My first 40 hours went by without a hitch and never crashed until right near the end of act 2, after that it would crash maybe every 20-30 hours if I had to make an estimate, I think it was more often whenever Karol was in the party

I've also had moments where it would crash twice in a row at the same spot, or when I started a speedrun and it crashed an hour and a half in, but save points are so plentiful and it's so fast to save your game that it's never an issue except in the final dungeon

Attached: DxJughtVsAAq493.jpg (1280x720, 88K)

I really wish nintendo would drop the price a bit on the console and on their first party game, BTW still being 50 bucks after 2 years is plain ridiculous

I kidna need recomendations. I bought my Switch some months ago and completed Xenoblade 2 along with GalMetal. I have a gaming PC as well so I'm looking for some Switch exclusive games.
I was looking at Mario Kart but I've never played a Kart Rcaer before and Id probably get fucked online if anyone is still playing that at all. Also I heard that a new one is coming out in a few months?

why would you buy Mario kart when crash team racing is about to come out exclusive for the switch?

Pretty much any sega port m2 does is the definitive version of the game. The only ones I'd say are iffy are Sonic since Taxman's really are better if you can stomach touch control and Virtua Racing if you're a huge autist about colors.

The Switch version is cloud/streaming based

Only reason I bought a switch is because it's good for this deployment. If I were to buy it back home it would've been a waste of money. I'm playing resident evil 4 and boring ass mario odyssey right now

Dunno about Tiny Metal but Wargroove is on everything.

Same format but unmarked = red and anticipated goty contenders = pink (cheated on DQXI cause it was already my 2018 goty and idk if I wanna play it again on switch with how packed this year is gonna be already)

I had a deep affinity with mystic quest and secret of mana and had never played SoM2 so I’m absolutely loving it. Dropped the money WHILE watching the E3 direct the next day. You’ll have to decide for yourself but they are 3 beautiful games.

>inb4 some faggot squeals “emulation!!”

isn't it japanese only?

When they bring over the Switch version, that's probably what we'll get unless Sega decides it's worth the time and effort to develop a brand new port of the game

Started a master mode save in BotW and I must have died 15 times just starting out on the plateau

Huh I see, I played the Taxman ports despite the awful controls and was bummed we didn't get S3&K. Virtua Racing seems to have online so that's a big pull factor there, I just bought Phantasy Star so looking forward to that.

How easy is it to hack a switch?
Is there any decent YouTube guides start to finish?

What outfit is that on Yuri?

I hate to admit it but I’m playing Okami for the first time ever. It’s as great as I expected if maybe a little slow in the beginning but once you leave the first village it fucking glows and the first village was fun to interact with.

FF9 because I realized I’ve never gotten past disc 1 (or even the whole vivi barrel plant area thing I can barely remember)

Slower burn kinda games to offset all the god damned faster shorter games and rogue likes on my system like gungeon, dead cells, downwell and katana zero

You literally like the same games I chose, but you added 5 more into it. I already finished Last Remnant so I don't care about it.

1. That pedro game is a literally who game, don't even know what is it about.
2. Zelda remake looks like shit. BOTW 2 all the way.
3-4-5. Panzer Dragoon, Pokémon Sword, and Crystal Chronicles are shovelware trash. Specially the chronicle games.
6. Animal Crossing is a game for women.

I'm okay with people liking Luigi Mansion 3, the first two were fun, but this one with forced co-op didn't convince me. Its not a game I would pay money for, but it is a game I would play if I could pirate it.
I have never played Mana so I don't care about Mana games, but kudos to you if you're a fan and are excited for Trials of Mana.
NMH is poor man's God Hand, I can't enjoy it.

We have nearly the same taste. The difference is you are a Mana fan and I never got into it, oh and you swallow Gamefreak's trash while I refuse to do so. I love pokemon but this latest game looks as bad as pokemon eevee.

So yeah fuck you. We could be bros if you didn't have autism.

>mana collection
>trials of mana
>nmh3
>animal crossing
>luigi's mansion 3
>DQ builders 2
that's all I vaguely care about
this isn't the year I get a switch

anyone have any tips on best way to increase your battery life?

>panzer dragoon is shovelware trash
>luigi's mansion 2 was fun

Put it in the microwave for 3 minutes.

I'm a sucker for old school JRPGs, the early FFs/DQs and stuff like I Am Setsuna which attempt to pay homage to them. Might be worth the shekels then.

Some games will just be heavy enough on the system that there’s just not a lot you can do to help with battery life (botw, MK11) but with most stuff brightness can make the difference. Lowering it just a bit or at least having the auto brightness on helps more than you might expect

How's The Last Remnant? Typical JRPG stuff? I'm looking for something to kill time until Mario Maker 2 and Judgement.

Is Skullgirls ever going to release?

I meant something like best accessories, power banks etc.

Have you seen panzer dragoon's trailer?

Looks straight from a fucking PS1. Ain't paying money for that.

>TSA
This game got a lot of bad press, the multiplayer is fucking fun

It's a very atypical JRPG, and a lot of people hate the game for it. If you're willing to put in a bit of time reading the wiki to brush up on mechanics (it's very mechanically dense and the game doesn't explain some of the nuances), you'll love it. Most gameplay tropes are out the window, although the story and characters are cliche.

>NMH is a poor man’s God Hand
Imagine being this stupid

Attached: AE6930AD-FFB3-4E33-8576-4DC86853A51E.jpg (324x304, 18K)

not typical

play it, its a new combat system never replicated.

it has typical JPRG playtime experience yes, and the story is typical JRPG, with typical masterpiece of a soundtrack common in JRPGs.

but the combat is something else. play it

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed although I’m surprised you’ve never played secret of Mana - it’s had VC releases, iOS/Android releases, and a horrid 3D re-release (avoid)

Why don’t you get the Genki bluetooth adapter?

Third person action hack and slash game focused on doing cool shit instead of complexity.

Am I talking about God Hand or No More Heroes?

Well, it looks like the original panzer dragoon which was Saturn era. And was excellent. Panzer Dragoon Orta is fantastic too so I’m not sure your argument carries much weight

Adjusted for inflation that's like 40 bucks now

Virtually any HnS ever made?

Buy the UGREEN USB 3.0 HUB with the RJ45 chip
It’s an ethernet adapter with 3 usb ports

Can you charge while using it?

>it looks like the original panzer dragoon
Exactly.
No improvements at all.
I'm not a nostalgia driven person, not buying games I already played.

Awesome, thank user. Anyone other Switch released JRPGs you recommend? Not the obvious stuff like Xenoblades or Vesperia as I've gotten those already.

Its 22,- retail atm

Not devil may cry, where fights don't look cool, and you only "get it" when you play it and try to replicate the combos.

NMH, like God Hand, is about slashing and having mindless fun.

I played God Hand in 2007 when it came out, then I played NMH, and it was a shittier God Hand. Never played NMH again.

Maybe you didn't have the same experience as I did, so you couldn't dismiss NMH as I did. But hopefully you can understand my opinion, even if you disagree with it.

Not him but I played Octopath and Disgaea 5 and enjoyed both of them a lot. They have demos on the eShop if you want to give them a try. There's also Lost Sphear, which I think is pretty similar to Setsuna but I haven't played that one yet.

I refuse to leave the 1990s, user, so I’m heavily biased. If it’s aesthetics you want FFIX is another thing of beauty and VII is always worth a blast but I was never a huge fan, preferring VI. Bide your time till Dragon Quest XI since those games have sold themselves on never drastically shaking up their own formula and they’re all the better for it.

Arguably they don’t need much improving but you do you, my man. I’m looking forward to it.

Mario Kart isn't rocket science and MK8 is absolute kino. Get it.

DMC is absolutely based on rule of cool. It just happens to have some mechanical depth as well.

South East Asian version of FF X-X2 is physical

Yes, it has a USB-C Port below. Check the youtube reviews

Man I wished we got Tales of Berseria and Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash port.

not sure if that's because of post-world, think the problem are all the nu-monhan players that came with the switch

That still existed in previous games.
>SNEK URGENT PLS

>Not to mention buying these games used is even more pointless.
All downloads obligatory with the Switch will come with the cart, whether you buy it first or not.

I wonder if the Angry Video Game Nerd I+II will release in 2019.
