I picked up Necrodancer since it was on sale. I like it, but either I'm really bad at this game or I can't calibrate it properly with my set up.
That Zone 1 Level 1 theme is 10/10 though.

The whole OST is great. Cadence is amazing too, and much easier since you can bruteforce it. It gets easier the more you play, don't worry if your timing initially sucks.

The shopkeeper makes it 10/10. Is it easier if I download the tracks and listen to them before playing it? Just to know what tempos to expect. I get caught out a lot at first.

Yeah, you can do. I also recommend checking out the enemy training area, so you can learn their movement patterns in a safe environment.
