I played it a few months back. I was trying to beat it but it's really just not fun. I I did the time trials and I beat most of adventure mode with both teams, but I just couldn't bring myself to bother with the relic races. Real velo just wasn't a good enough incentive

I played both CTR and CNK recently. Playing CNK immediately after CTR really doesn’t do it any favors. It’s a total slog to get through. The gameplay is atrocious.

It's because if you ignore the whole alien thing going on, he'd fit right in with the likes of Ripper Roo, Komodos Joe and Moe, Tiny Tiger, Pinstripe Potoroo, Dingodile, and Crash Bandicoot.

CTR is not a hard game to play. I beat most of the Oxide ghosts when I was 10. I have a feeling most of the people trying to make it seem like a much more technical game than Mario Kart are Sonyfags with short-man syndrome. If anything, Mario Kart Wii is more technical than CTR. Maybe Double Dash as well.

And yet, there are almost endless amounts of game journalists being absolute shitters playing this game. Anyone who has played Mario Kart half-way decently should NOT be getting totally assraped by the AI, yet so many reviewers are getting in 8th place. Like the Polar Pass video by the Cuphead guy. He obviously knows how to drift since he does it a few times, yet he REFUSES to do it 99% of the time and he eats shit.

Depends on the track. Advanced for tracks like Crash Cove, Coco Park and Roo’s Tubes. Acceleration for more complex ones.

Also consider that a lot of these players have never played CTR before so not only do they not know the tracks but also the mechanics. Coming to grips with a new game takes a little bit of time and being willing to try to learn. A lot of these people don't put time in past like 1 or 2 tracks and thus never get a chance to experience the depth that the game offers to them. Even as a kid I wasn't an expert at the game but I read the fucking manual on the toilet and I was more or less ready to go well before I got to Ripper Roo.
I'm willing to excuse people for not knowing the track, but outright refusing to push buttons and try anything is where they are irredeemable.
All of this would've been alleviated if they picked people who played the original to showcase the game but we can't expect any journalists to be assed to play a game from 20 years ago, let alone one released in the current year.

Knowing Beenox at this point, we will just get an entire bike mode complete with Crash’s bike and the champion bike from CNK. Every character will get an alternate biking skin too.
