I'm playing him for the first time right now, he's really fun, but also a lot harder than the other characters, especially in the early game

i was gifted this game and whilst it's fun for 1 or 2 games with friends it ends up getting insanely repetitive and rather boring after a while. i can't see how someone can play more than a couple lives in one sitting. i haven't checked out the update roadmap so are they going to add anything interesting to the game?

Ghor even admitted that they'll probably start raising the price of the game or put in DLC if they really are pressured to make more enemies than they already have because he doesn't feel like making more skeletons and textures.

They're treating this as some kind of high school/college project and actually think they could get away with putting DLC in the game before the game is declared finished and not get sued.

infinitely better, the gameplay of ror1 feels like a bad platformer in the NES era. the scale is wrong, the enemies are either too difficult, impossible to avoid, or a complete joke. the characters aren't balanced or fun to play, and the core gameplay loop is flawed. the style is cool though, hope they can effectively capture the end of ror1 in ror2.

Nah, I got bored of it after 12 hours and went back to ror1. Maybe when it's out of early access it will be comparable.

the enemy pattern of them standing on a ledge while you stand on another ledge and slowly shoot them, impervious to all of their attacks because they can't jump? or the wisps who only attack when you're too close to dodge in any way? you don't get enough items either, by the end of the game (which i did beat once, not on drizzle either) i think i had 16 items total which is pathetic, it's the most potentially interesting part of the game and it's completely squandered.
they manage to fuck up just about every design decision you could other than the atmosphere and artistic design, i'm glad they vastly improved the gameplay in ror2.

Artificer is good.
Except the hitbox on Snap Freeze is trash without hardlight afterburners.
And Flamethrower is trash without goat hooves.
And Nanobomb is trash without backup magazine.
And Flame Bolt is trash without Alien Head.

So besides the fact that she has the most item competition out of any other Survivor she's probably the best character for long runs. She still has my longest record time of just over 2 hours on the clock. It was a great Bazaar roll and I had transcendence, shaped glass, 3 behemoths, and by the end of the run I had a sacrificial dagger, hardlight afterburners, alien head and brainstalks.

I just started playing RoR1 a few days ago. I've played five times with five different characters and won each time. I'm not sure how many levels I should be playing before going to the final level. Does the difficulty ever increase so much that it becomes too hard? Also how much harder is monsoon difficulty?
