But I'm not even going to play when I know there are external elements working against me. More server pings per second is higher accuracy gameplay regardless. If I miss shots because the tick rate is low it leaves me suspicious whether there was anything I could've done to improve my situation or if it was out of my control, but if I still miss when I know the server is at an acceptable tickrate then the fault is obviously with my shitty geriatric hands.

Lower tick rates make it easier to aim because it means that people change direction less often. Whether your shot hits or not is based on your screen which has nothing to do with tick rate.

The difference in accuracy you gain between 60 and 100+ ping is trivial. Do you also need a 240Hz monitor to aim well?
The best FPS players I ever met played games at 60fps and 60 ticks, didn't prevent them from being absolute beasts.

Explain how tick rate affects your aim then. It doesn't make logical sense to me that it would since aiming is done by your hardware. Even if you are a projectile character like Hanzo the projectile snaps to them on their screen if it hit on your screen.

Overwatch is jittery by design. It has instant acceleration when changing direction which make for faster game play and makes it control easier.

You're taking an extreme example. That game clearly want programed with that low of a tick rate in mind then. I remember the battlefield games had a tick rate of 10 and there was no jitter and it was easy to aim in that. Obviously I want high tick rates, but if your complaining about aim then that's all you. Higher tick rates help you dodge better, not aim better.

You could play on a server with 248 ticks and it wouldn't matter. If your aim improves, so does your enemies' if you want to get good, you simply have to practice, and blaming minute details like tps is really self defeating.

My friend can queue MM on 64 tick servers with me, and he can still shred and get accused of hacking _every_single_match_, but it doesn't stop him from complaining about how shit the reg is every single time. What I mean is, sure, they can still play on servers with sub-standard (in the context of competitive play) cfgs and perform very well, but the people who actually play at that level tend away from MM due to Valve's shitty servers in preference for private 128+ tick ESEA/Faceit 3rd party servers.
