Frisk would have an LV system above his icon. Spamming knife smash attacks and neutral B and these attacks kill better with higher LV. With lower LV your knockout options are worse but to make up for it you have a grab special which will delete stocks based on a formula of Frisk's LV and the enemy's percent. Basically if you opponent's percent is high and your LV is closer to zero, bam. Also the state of your LV affects Frisk or Chara's appearance and animations.

Kris is from an unfinished game though, and while that works with Nintendo games because Nintendo can have faith that their product will get released, it's harder to do that with other companies, especially when there's one guy spearheading it. If anything happened to him, the game would die immediately.
Frisk can fight, and as far as we know, unless Deltarune tells us otherwise when it's completed, there is no actual canon ending. Frisk can be Genocidal, or a Pacifist, or anything inbetween. So he could use a wide array of ACTs or attacks, it in no way fundamentally breaks his character.

Pacifist may be the most fulfilling ending, but that doesn't make it the end all be all.
Hell, if you want to be technical, the game expects some players to go Neutral BEFORE they go Pacifist, meaning that Frisk HAS fought.
And if you want to be even more technical, the game only penalizes you for KILLING enemies, attacking them and then sparing them is actually something you can do on regular enemies, only killing is what is actually penalized, and you only knock out your opponents in this game.

We only have Smash 4 to go on for that, and Smash 4's DLC was handled way differently than this is. Hell, the only company that was introduced through DLC was Square, who got in at the end of Smash 4's DLC. If Banjo was like the second to last, and Namco wasn't the only other company in need of a second rep, I would agree. But as is, Microsoft is the only one of any of the companies not repping it's most significant series or their company mascot. The last two could easily be a Namco and MS rep.

They can do whatever they want if it suits that is why it is patternfagging. It might even be more expedient to get a character from the same company than negotiate with a new one.

I just realize that with Joker we could have easily got Makoto and Yu as skins. Their winning themes are already in the game.

Some people datamined MK11 which held in about the surprise DLC characters. It mentioned the use of a chainsaw several times which had people believe it was Doomguy but further datamining mentions Ash and since MK had tons of film crossovers in their game, it was easy to guess which Ash with a chainsaw is getting in.
Ed Boon making a VA appearance isn't really proof of Doomguy being in the game.

Is he a possibility? Absolutely, and he'd be a better fit in MK then in Smash honestly. But Ash's name is literally in the files while no smoking gun has yet to be seen of Doomguy.

Frisk's normal Attacks use the various weapons; jab uses the Knife, Down Aerial is the ballet shoes, forward smash is the book, etc.
Their specials are them "dodging" various attacks from the other monsters, like Neutral Special would have them dodge a bone attack from Papyrus, Down Special has them put up a shield to deflect Undyne's spear, etc. These would also double as extra dodges or defections (but not counters) for opponent attacks, and the dodged or deflected projectile or monster attack would then go and hit enemies. And their SOUL would appear whenever they use a special in the color that monster specializes in.
Their Final Smash could be an entrapment attack, like Dedede or Captain Falcon, but with 3 possible animations randomly selected, based on the 3 endings of Undertale.

I don't see it happening. Same for Leon and Jill. They don't bring much new to the table.

Well, they could do some mechanics with the tank controls, also aiming your gun up and down (something Samus should have but doesn't).

It has it's niche audience but in the grand scale no, they don't really care for him.

But there is one big advantage Doom has and that is it's history with Nintendo. Doom throughout its existence has worked with Nintendo going as far as having an entire exclusive game for the 64 system and this practice is still being seen today with Eternal being one of the very first third parties to have helped promote the Switch.
