Then Chief and Arbiter beat the shit out of each other because Chief killed Cortana, and then Chief is in pieces and he can't talk because he is too broken and then he kind of fixes himself and talks Arby into letting him blow up Jon's apartment with a gas explosion so they can die.

Why is it that Arby 'n' the Chief has aged so well compared to most other machinima? For instance RvB really isn't that good at all looking back at the early seasons.

Arbiter has always been Jon's self-insert character with all of Jon's issues and opinions projected onto him. In the beginning it was relatively subtle with Arbiter mostly just complaining about video games. It got weird once the drinking/smoking/existential crisis shit entered the picture.
