Dreamcast mini

Vmu included,
Post games you think should get in a possible Dreamcast classic/mini console (you can also post updated versions of Dreamcast games like PsoBB)

Powerstone 2

MAHVEL.

Why never going happen.

Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Dead or Alive 2, that Dreamcast Berserk game, Shenmue, Virtua Fighter 3, Crazy Taxi, and maybe some more.

I miss her every day.

Unnecessary at this point, because every Dreamcast game has a better port now. Except... pic related

I don't see a reason for this. I bought a DC off a friend for 50 bucks and just burn CDs of whatever game I could ever want.

Nah

SEAMAN

I would buy one just for the mint condition controller and new VMU (hopefully they retain the OG connector with USB) to use with my original Dreamcast.

Oh and I just checked with reicast, believe it or not, there's a replicated SegaNet/Dreampipe service up and running that people have been working on for years now.

No idea how they've done it but for most of the games I've tried, most of their internet features and all their homepages and leaderboards are up and functioning, even browsing it with Dreamkey.

Adding to this:
Virtual On OT
Ikaruga

I just wonder how they're hosting and supporting it, and what costs are like.

This.

Most of the popular games have already been ported to other consoles/PC. It would be nice to have some of the others that haven't; like Powerstone, Seaman, Project Justice, etc...

>Shenmue 1 + 2
>Jet Set Radio
>Sonic Adventure 1 + 2
>Skies of Arcadia
>Power Stone 1 + 2
>Phantasy Star Online (with fully dedicated servers, keyboard sold seperately, however, you could plug a USB one in)
>Marvel Vs Capcom 2
>Resident Evil: Code Veronica

Any others that I'm missing?

FPBP

>>Phantasy Star Online (with fully dedicated servers, keyboard sold seperately, however, you could plug a USB one in)

Never ever gonna happen, but I would literally kill for this.

Soul Reaver and Rayman 2

Until the laser dies, then you will see.

>t-then youll see!
Oh no lol, just buy another one for 20 bucks. Or get a gdrom emulator like gdemu or gd-usb. The folks at made the psio are even making thier own gdrom replacement. No reason for a dreamcast mini at this point except for dorks who cant into downloading roms now the emuparadise is "gone".

>gd-usb
don't, the guy who makes them got caught putting firmware timebombs in them
just stick with a clone gdemu

Alright, if this were to exist I'd put these 20 games on it.

1. Sonic Adventure
2. Sonic Adventure 2
3. Crazy Taxi (keep the original songs in too, don't go cheap)
4. Jet Set Radio
5. Space Channel 5
6. Skies of Arcadia
7. Chu-Chu Rocket
8. Rez
9. Virtua Fighter 3tb
10. Metropolis Street Racer
11. Powerstone 2
12. Ikaruga
13. Soul Calibur
14. Toy Commander
15. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
16. Hydro Thunder
17. Dino Crisis
18. Virtua Tennis
19. Grandia 2
20. Sega Rally

And for the bonus surprise game these mini consoles usually have, the first official release of Propeller Arena included on it as 21.

Didnt know that. I have a gdemu myself, i just know the usb thing existed so i listed it. So what exactly does the firmware do?

It's not known right now how it's triggered (whether it be an internal clock, based on system clock, number of boots, etc...) but if you don't update the firmware eventually it will display "firmware obsolete" and refuse to boot past that. The guy did admit to it and claims he will remove it from future firmware versions but I still wouldn't trust him

Replace Dino Crisis with Zero Gunner 2 and thats a good list.
