How many atoms?

I called this armour disability armour because it looks like what people wear to protect broken limbs and exposed hearts etc.

nah, I'm good

I'll pass

re-installing this game ATM right now.

just found this mod that fixes the FPS drop in Boston city reportedly.

*unintelligible raving*

That was a pretty good Ed Edd & Eddy episode.

I found a mod that fixes the game all together

Here it is

Attached: ref.jpg (970x727, 53K)

>ATM right now
I see.

Post it.

ATM is a pretty good game, I usually get money from playing it. Usually.

Here's your new Vulpes bro I hope you like it.

Looks okay, I guess.

This game looks terrible. All of your armor looks like shit.

I never went with Daedric anyway because I didn't like the asymmetry, ebony looks better while still being real strong

>robot

Why?

The heavy combat armour looks a lot like doomguy armour.
And the disciples armour looks like Blame!

Link?
I when someone post a screenshot with mods without leaving a link or the original source.

what's that

The armour is easily surpassed in shittiness levels by the weapons. This thing looks like the retarded offspring of a bunch of WWI machineguns yet it's supposed to be an assault rifle. I can't imagine the average American GI wanting to lug around thirty pounds of scrap metal while the Chinese get their comparatively lighter AK clones
One of the best parts about this one is that they actually put the ejection port on the right side, but the spent casings clip through and eject out of the left
I'm certain not a single Basedthesda employee has ever handled a gun, much less fired one

IKAROS Androids for FO4.

Attached: dJjI91o.jpg (2560x1440, 1.38M)

God Fallout 4s armor pieces seems like a good idea on paper but they’re all so fucking small and look awful

for some reason in my play through this barrel gun hardly ever dropped.
If you are into 40k it looks cool. Like an Ork shoota.
>thinks this gun was the military rifle
Thats the service rifle you dork.

The best fix for the raider armour which is ironically actually trash, is to install legion armour.

continue, i am interested in trying

I want this mod!
DOA is my favorite mod for FNV (I can't play without it) and I gladly can install F4 again if I can play with an android girl.

I honestly want to find the retard that designed this abomination against sexbot science and beat them with a pool cue until they get detached retinas.

You mean the Combat Rifle that looks the exact same as the Combat Shotgun? The ones that start off with the stock of a PPSh for some reason?

>want the two story dlc
>they are more expensive than the pass by themselves

Just release the two story dlcs cheap or lower the pass already ffs.

IKAROS-Androids.
Google it. There's a Discord Server about the development of the mod.
It will be released on The Nexus... someday.

yeah that is the service rifle that was in every fallout game.
The barrel gun was some weird attempt to keep forcing the retro mass production gun meme. Like the classic pistol/machine gun

dont lose your regularity

Attached: tolietnator.jpg (640x480, 34K)

but why not have two big boots
more boots=more kicking

The chest piece is cool if you want a backpack survivalist look without mods.
The hunter pelt outfit though is the best looking outfit in the game.

Thanks!

>yeah that is the service rifle that was in every fallout game.
no it wasn't

I just got everything in a pack at the same time when it was on sale. Steam summer sale is soon, just get it then.

Shame I still can't run it.

The lolretro guns need to get taken out behind the shed to be put out of their misery, make room for ones that actually look good or ones based on cool prototypes that were actually accepted in the Fallout timeline

Attached: 11550578-1510950413.png (670x376, 179K)

The Service Rifle is fine though, since it's canonically supposed to be the gun produced by the NCR. It makes sense that it would be based on shitty old prewar models of guns that were probably outdated at the time the bombs dropped while there are guns floating around in NV like the Marksman Carbine that show that the actual prewar US military was using modernized guns.

I think the main goal of this armor is melee fighting against mirelurks and hermit crabs

They added meme not-AKs in Nuka World. Alot of that dlcs content seems to be in response to fan feedback which is good and bad.

I can't test the mod.
It requires F4SE + LooksMenu and FO4 was updated yestarday because CC content, F4SE new build is ready but LooksMenu isn't updated yet.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Attached: 4b6.jpg (400x343, 8K)

I'm not talking about that. The service rifle in NV is fine, it's the autistic machinegun pretending to be an 'assault rifle' in 4 that's a piece of shit

I just wanna know why they're all called 'handmade rifles' in Nuka World. Fucking pipeguns are handmade too

Attached: 1440067561579.jpg (660x372, 52K)

I thought the implication was that AK plans were snuck into Nuka World and the raiders got hold of them.
So they started making custom guns. Custom guns would have been a better name.

They could have just called them Chinese assault rifles since those were in FO3 already

>muh rifle
>muh machine gun
>caring about a fucking name of a gun inside a game
L O W F U N C T I O N I N G A U T I S M

I CARE ABOUT THE FACT THAT IT'S UGLY AS SHIT SINCE IT'S TAKING UP SO MUCH OF MY SCREEN

Attached: Optical Prime.jpg (450x400, 14K)

>the autistic machinegun pretending to be an 'assault rifle'
>he call the gun austitic
>he is autistic
Dude how the fuck a name is that important for you?
Assault rifles machine guns are basically the same shit I mean they shoot automactly so nobody gives a fuck.
Exept our /k/ folks with autism.

For me, its good old fashioned steel

Attached: Ysmir.jpg (1920x1080, 450K)

Let's not get crazy over here.

>people mod all the scifi fantasu animu stuff into skyrim and not fallout
I want to fantasy + scifi damn it

This is assault rifle appropriation, my culture is not your costume

This.
I can get mad about a revolver called shotgun or a sniper rifle called pistol but I this case I don't really care, some weapons can be submachine guns, machine guns, assault rifles and I fine with that, I don't see a big diference.

But F4 assault rifle is ugly as fuck so I can agree with anyone who thinks the same.

>play DOTA
>you have a new ite,
>the bracers of ash
>it's not textured
>just solid grey

Attached: 1492650069240.png (754x424, 287K)

For example in WW2 game
a MP40/Tommy Gun can be called machine gun, sub machine gun even assault rifle and I'm fine, same case with STG 44 or the BAR the name doesn't matter because they are automatic guns.
But a M1 Garand CAN't be called assault rifle because it is just a rifle and if this happen I'll get mad.

Fucking casuals

>be the literal scientific power house of post-apocalyptic America
>can create fucking humans/androids
>make terrible armor that looks like something a wastelander would make out of spare parts
shaun is the biggest IDIOT ever
everyone behind fallout 4 is pretty dumb too

The Institute is just the Think Tank but with even less of a reason to do the stupidly evil shit they do
>Kidnap people and replace them with clones
>Experiment with FEV to make super mutants
>Don't euthenize the mutants when they're done with, just let them out onto the surface to kill and eat people for the lulz
>Send out gangs of roving killbots while they're at it
>Let General Mills kill everybody in Vault 111 even though they want untainted pre-war DNA for their roboclones
>Thaw out the Sole Survivor later, who will 99% side against them for being evil retards
>Th-the surface is dumb, w-why they hate us?

>literally leaves your entire upper chest exposed
>leg plates don't even try to cover the front
>no knee pads
>no forearm pieces
wtf

>Soul Cairn
>literally no connection to dragons other than having one trapped there
>the Ideal Masters' strongest guardians use weapons and armor made from their bones

...Why?

FO4 is such a shitshow that it boggles my mind
>Armor looks like shit
>Weapons look like shit
>You get a powerarmour right off the bat and there are power cores littering the world so you never run out
>Settlement building is useless in terms of practicality and there are other games that let you build your home but much better than FO4
And that's even without touching on the writing, story, enviorment, skills, SPECIAL and everything else
There are zero redeeming qualities to the game even if you're a fan of nu-FO

The Institutes evil boiled down to bureacracy, incompetence and egotism.
All the "evil" things they did was because some autistic egomaniac scientist when against his peers wishes.
They were just severly incompetent geniuses.
Their biggest sin was paranoia and thinking kidnapping people and replacing them just to spy was a good idea.
As if anyone in the commonwealth really was capable of defeating them at that point.

>for some reason
The reason is some retard at Bethesda really liked PPSH’s so he made a PPSH shotgun in Fallout 3, which is what these guns are based on.

And it is pretty much commentary on how nerdy scientists can't run a society because they are ironically stupid.

youtu.be/1CJCjri4CR8

Most of the aspects you listed are shit, but I found the story surprisingly somewhat enjoyable. Personally, I enjoyed joining all the factions, getting the BoS and Insititue to blow each other up, then backstabing the RR. Still not fun without mods though.

Vegeta?

my play through i sided with the institute and betrayed everyone else.
It may be the most boring playthrough at the end because the commonwealth becomes empty.
I'm thinking of keeping as many factions alive next play through so i have more stuff to shoot.

>RR
Thanks for reminding me of that shit

Attached: 234wqdw.gif (480x211, 3.81M)

I know what you mean. After killing everyone, I was suddenly reminded that I had literally nothing else to do. Felt like walking around in a mall after closing time.

The armors in Fallout 4 have to be some of the worst armors ever conceived. What the fuck were they thinking?
How much of a rushed hackjob was 4?

Attached: 1455070998584.jpg (480x360, 16K)

>RR has some of the coolest stuff
>their entire angle makes no sense
I told them to fuck off as soon as i met them. Then the sunglasses guy had to give me another chance lmao.
Imagine asking a person if they thought synths were human even though the only synths you saw up to that point were gen 2 robots.

you could have at least posted the sturdy version

Character customization is literally the worst thing that happened to 3d RPGs, prove me wrong

No matter what character you are playing, they all look the same because muh base model. And all armor had to be designed to for that template

>get a great legendary handmade
>can't get ammo for it until I get to nuka world but I'm saving it for last

Still worth collecting in the end at least

>Character customization is literally the worst thing that happened to 3d RPGs, prove me wrong
Fallout 4 style dialogue options. That was easy. Something that actually affects the writing/gameplay versus something that doesn't.

Nah I'm good.

Attached: Fallout4_2019_03_07_06_54_34_576_xxx.jpg (1920x1080, 909K)

>wtf why is every character a human!

That would actually look good if the boots were longer and went up to the thigh.

Mods are a great way to circumvent these limitations, as is the case with most Bethesda games.

Attached: DCDD84D9-9D65-4519-9C7D-19A34E77B173.jpg (1280x720, 108K)

if the institute wanted to infiltrate the commonwealth why did they waste resources on making synth gorillas? why did they infiltrate the commonwealth by making their presence known?

if the sole survivor becomes the head of the institute, they I can hypothetically kill every single scientist and replace them right?

When will FO4 stop being updated? This has gone on long enough.

Attached: ezgif1f3c14fc52cc1.gif (600x400, 3.78M)

There are good RPGs with no dialogue options at all, though.

The game gets creepy when you learn about the birds being synths

its the toilet armor

just downgrade and disable automatic updates

>The birds
What

Yeah. You know the most horrible thing? You're a synth too!

>get to institute
>ask why they do these horrible things
>"what the fuck are you talking about lmao"
>"dude look at these robogorillas instead"
A+ villain writing, bethesda

Attached: 1559694837346.jpg (732x558, 195K)

That shit will never stop a Bloodbug from piercing you with its proboscis.

apparently there are synth brahmin too

all the metal weight, plus a couple pints of water in the cooling jacket

nevermind that it has no condenser tank hooked up to it, so that water is just going to boil off into the air and leave your barrel to overheat

Fallout 4 was spectacularly lazy and shallow on every level, just an absolute shitshow of bare effort. And because people were hyped they ate it up and only realized later how garbage it was. Bethesda has been doing the same shit since, they haven't made a decent game since... Well, people will debate from Skyrim all the way back to Morrowind. Which is probably when the passion left the company.

Robot pill

Attached: Photo_2018-12-26-011943.png (1920x1080, 2.17M)

What's the best faction to side with? I tend to pick the BOS because they're the most righteous.

>This thing looks like the retarded offspring of a bunch of WWI machineguns yet it's supposed to be an assault rifle.
It was a machine gun during development and they renamed it before release.

>that gif
Maybe I should 4 another try.

Attached: 1517082714463.png (300x310, 21K)

None. The only good option would be the Enclave, but they’re obviously not in the game.

hey i'll admit skyrim is a "decent" game as far as enjoyment goes. even then skyrim came out 8 years ago.

best how? bos are a bunch of losers pretending to be heroes, RR just kinda exist, the institute is pretty unjustifiable, and that leaves the minutemen.

they all suck

I modded my fallout 4 to be a janky S.T.A.L.K.E.R/Metro clone with less shitty survival elements and settlement raiding, and I'm actually having a tiny bit of fun, as long as I avoid the main story

Attached: 1519011258805.jpg (521x395, 29K)

But the Enclave are evil and make evil choices.

Institute are good guys and the only one chance for wasteland's future. Bos and railroad are bad guys.

Mr House. Or Caesar's Legion.

That’s exactly why they’re the best faction

Stopdoingthis.

how are railroad bad? Honestly they're better than the minutemen, since the minutemen are doomed as soon as you leave

Maybe. The institute under the sole survivor has a chance at being the best hope for the wasteland, especially because the sole survivor can also ally with every settlement as the minutemen's general.
Shaun's institute? FUCK NO.

Don't worry, the rear half of the barrel has air cooling fins. Water cooling + air cooling = DOUBLE COOLING

Just get far enough along to aggro the BoS. Running through Boston, dogging super mutants and raiders while vertibirds blast minigun fire at you from up high is pretty fun.

he's Australian.

Attached: AU flag.png (400x400, 19K)

It just makes them invalid. There's no sense in a faction that just wants to kill all humans. Almost no pre war human DNA is left and irradiated people seem to be doing just fine.

What ever happened with the canvas bags

Railroad doing nothing productive for humanity. They are sabotaging institute work, that will save humanity in the end.
Shaun institute made synthetic edible flesh, made plants and almost finished working nuclear reactor.

Same. This is the way the game is meant to be played as far as I'm concerned.

Attached: 1516314279335.jpg (639x626, 35K)

The railroad thinks toasters should have more rights than humans.

people still have shitty bags i think

It's a shin pad and a knee pad. It's so you can get down on one knee without hurting yourself on rocks and shit.

We're only discussing the canon games in this thread.

Attached: enb2019_6_16_00_51_27.jpg (1920x1080, 386K)

I dunno, lol.

Die horribly.

Attached: 1422504175329.png (496x543, 23K)

Then why are they purposefully and pointlessly fucking with the surface. The institute got played all wrong. They should have been this terrifying shadowy organization, like an even more ruthless BoS. You have resources, rare tech? Synths show up at your doorstep with guns. Synth kill bots infiltrated everywhere. Everything that happens happens because the Institute wills it or allows it. People with talent, technical know how? Get pressganged into the institute. Kidnapped out of their beds at night.

But there's no reason for them to be out there willfully destabilizing the wasteland like they do in the game. Ruthless pragmatism, yes. Leaving the surface scum to die as you steal from them, yes. But professionalism, please, professionalism.

Oh so Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout 3: New Vegas?

sauce

Fallout 4 mod.

Is this 76? What town?

NV is canon, user. NCR and Sunset Sarsaparilla references are enough, if you don't count Fallout Shelter NV outfits like the Dead Money ghost gear.

>like they do in the game
But they don't.

which mod user :(

It's noted in the backstory they betrayed the Commonwealth and basically caused it to break down into anarchy

Their intent is to kill all irradiated organisms, not just people. Modified FEV would also kill ghouls and super mutants and other monsters, but would probably leave pet projects like the Deathclaws alone. NCR knows firsthand how hard it is to rebuild when the shit you’re trying to rebuild is filled with muties that can tear you in half with ease.

Nah, I'm pretty sure great war caused everything to break down into anarchy.

Sooooo what is the point of synths? Why is the Tute trying to replicate humans and then just treating them like trash subhumans?

For me, it's got to be Cait.

pastebin.com/Qg5ZEZmP

Attached: 1517480485116.png (608x1073, 1.04M)

Did the fo4 sexmods ever get good?

Don't you remember the Vice President being LITERALLY mentally retarded in Fallout 2? Enclave isn't run by same people, they're too far up their own ass to understand what they're doing

I don't rightly know. I just got the picture from the Fallout general on /vg/.

Attached: No_idea.jpg (1920x1080, 134K)

Drink less tap water.

Isn't a mod user sadly it's just a lewd animation

Man, I played with a modded Cait for so long that mine seems genuine and the vanilla Cait seems like the shitty clone.

They weren't replacing people to spy, it was to test how well constructed their synths were. If family members could not detect the real person being swapped with a synth then they have created the perfect synth.

Well, who made it? Clearly he wants more.

It says that repairs are a concern with traditional robots, and that's why they want to make the roboclones instead. But then you have Mr. Handies floating around by themselves for over 200 years doing just fine with nobody to repair them. Which is it?

Attached: 1498930208500.jpg (640x480, 97K)

>This pastebin
Some of this makes Sense but a lot of this is cope

Why don't they just perfect the process of becoming a ghoul? Then they call all live in fridges for 200s and do science without worrying about eating or dying of old age.

Everything is a cope. You're a cope. I'm a cope.

God i forgot how disgusting the armor and guns in this game looked

Attached: 1530267002150.gif (265x257, 1.78M)

It's supposed to be practical, not pretty.

>practical
>almost every set has massive exposed areas

Attached: 1556256441723.gif (200x200, 3.89M)

I read all this and even though it does answer some questions I always had, some of them just feel like trying to cover up a very obvious mistake. In some cases it even makes me dislike the Institute even more.

Is there a /fog/ copebin for how shit 76 is too.

>there are other games that let you build your home but much better than FO4

Can you suggest some? I'd like to play something like that.

>it’s supposed to be flexible, not pretty

Here's your Fallout game bro

Attached: Fallout 4 roleplaying.png (1023x185, 24K)

Skyrim.

Mr Handies have a self-sufficiency routine. They are designed to make rudimentary repairs on themselves over time, in order to keep functioning in their gardener/butler/etc duties. They make use of repair kits people can buy and keep in their homes.
Codsworth at your home in sanctuary, and the robots on the USS Constitution, etc would have made rudimentary repairs to themselves over time using whatever the found, and what they used to repair themselves would expand over time, as they used parts the found. Handy fuel was also pretty commonplace for them to find and use, since handies were so common pre-war. Many homes and businesses would have fuel and repair parts in the back for the robots they made use of.

The toot was also very concerned with energy, not just scrap and parts, which was a whole second issue that the surface robots didn't have.

What other questions did you have?

76 isn't shit. You were lied to by a clickbait controversy bandwagon.

>download mods
Boт твoи дocпeхи бpaтaн

Try using Mod Organizer when you download your stuff. It’ll allow you to enable and disable all aspects of a mod with ease. Super useful tool for debugging.

>pastebin.com/Qg5ZEZmP

This feels like it's just compensating or covering for bad writing.
I'm saying this mostly on the basis that you don't see people having the aggressive, fervent, like, really passionate discussions about the factions in New Vegas like you do in Fallout 4.

In New Vegas you've got people talking about the pros and cons of the irredeemable and savage Legion and making good cases both for and against them as well as the other factions/choices like House, NCR, and even The Brotherhood or the fuckin' Tribals. And it's been going on four YEARS, for YEARS people have been discussing the choices they've made and the implications of their actions and choices... But you don't see that with Fallout 4.

Like, even after someone made and posted this big fat Q&A you've still got people arguing, asking questions, and just plain poking holes or just legitimately confused about the toots basic motives, actions, incentives, etc..

Attached: Anime_DoesntGetIt.png (510x346, 242K)

>They wanted to influence the surface. Shortly before the beginning of the game, the surfacers were going to witch hunt the Institute. Replacing key people and giving them orders can curb the efforts of the top siders. Dumping super mutants onto the surface was the other half of these efforts.
No shit retard. WHY do they want to influence the surface though? Your shit tier copebin does nothing to address this you stupid faggots.
>They were originally intended to be the perfect workforce, since they don't need the same amount of food and sleep as regular humans, but they are smarter than robots and have intuition that robots lack, so they can be more autonomous in carrying out orders.
And yet they have them doing things that a Mr. Handy can demonstrably do better like sweeping the fucking floors.
>So there is why synths were made, as well as why Father doesn't want to talk about it.
Yet it doesn't address the fact that this is a shitty and nonsensical plot point in the first place.
>Sean doesn't value your blood relationship. When you first arrive at the toot, he literally says "I didn't expect you to survive out there, in that wasteland". He doesn't give a shit about you.
Then why does he act like he gives a shit about you at every other point and even make you the head of the institute (while still simultaneously not talking about the synth issue)? Oh right because the game is a hackjob.
> An FEV derived organic body can repair itself just like humans do, and a robot that has a functioning near-human brain can be very autonomous in carrying out tasks.
You don't need anything close to a human brain for these things, especially for robots who are shown to do literally nothing besides
>kill people topside for no reason
>sweep floors
>replace people topside for no reason
>kill synths who refuse to do one of the above
None of these require human intellect, none of these require free will.
cont, wait til I finish to reply with your shit tier drone excuses pls

Modding FO4 has been the least painful of all bethesda games for me, how do you get CTDs? Are you just deleting esps at random with live scripts?

Why the toot wants to influence the surface is discussed. Look again.

They have them sweeping the floors, but in case you forgot, they also have them un-supervised digging a new extension to the facility in a side rock face. They also have synths performing extended infiltration missions on the surface, a testament to the success of the synth's independence and intuition (the point of the gen3 synth program).

you obviously do need intuition to replace people on the surface, why would you even say otherwise? No robot is able to do that.

Setup all my mods about a year ago, I imagine most of the problem is either I forgot that I messed it up then or there was an update that broke something I have installed
I just cant be bothered redownloading it all at 1 MB/s and some of them came from a russian site I cant remember the name of

Leaving in live scripts seems to just have the effect of causing lag in my experience. What usually causes CTDs for me is physics and collision problems.

>They're just waiting for the "tainted" top siders to die off. And they're speeding things along with super mutants
This plan is literally the dumbest thing ever penned. If you want to get rid of people so you can move up topside, you don't do so by replacing them with more violent, dangerous, angry, long-lived, and resilient people. That just means that now you can't move topside because instead of it being filled with some hostile people, some neutral people, and some people who would likely have been willing to trade with you, it's now just filled with a bunch of super powerful mutants that all want to murder and eat you.
>Before the game starts, the Minutemen and various wastelanders were going to try to assault the Toot.
Which they wouldn't have been doing had the institute simply not made their presence known on the surface. Which, ironically, would have given a reason for them to develop synths, something they do not have in F4's current state as I proved previously.
> So they release some mutants to occupy them. They replace some mayors to give a speech about how the toot hasn't taken over the town.
Yeah, you know what would help move things along faster than these two things and not leave an army of angry mutants topside to deal with later? Just sending up robots to kill everybody. Or better yet, engineering some toxic gas or viral weapon, innoculating the instutute's populace against it, and releasing it on the surface. Or literally anything other than "send up more dangerous enemies to kill a bunch of people who didn't want us dead until we started murdering them"
>This echoes the Enclave of fo3.
Yeah, shitty writing does echo the Enclave of F3.
>And this is what sparks the mutants and the replacements.
A better strategy would have been to NOT use the mutants and use the replacement synths to sway public opinion in favor of the toot, or even to seed the idea that the toot fled the Commonwealth and is just a boogeyman.
cont.?

The people confused about the toot's motives didn't pay attention. The game contains all the required information. It's just not regurgitated to you by an NPC who pauses his life to spell it out for you, like it would be in NV, so people seem to have an issue. But it's all on terminals, or gleaned from conversations with toot personnel, or overheard in conversations between other people.

The toot doens't want the people on surface to be alive, because the mutations those people have gained are not part of their vision for humanity.
Super mutants cannot reproduce, and the toot themselves can cut production at the push of a button. So when they feel they may want to go to the surface at some time, they stop production and let them die off from natural fights, and then they send their army of coursers to clean up before going up themselves. Remember, this entire conversation is about creating a superhuman workforce. There is no issue cleaning up the surface once the gen3 synth program is "perfected".

Since apparently you just didn't read the material, the surface already knew about the toot. the toot had been helping the surface for many years before the game starts. There is no "just don't make themselves known". This is literally already discussed in the link. Everything you're saying is already covered.

That's exactly what the synths do dude. You literally didn't play the game. Mayor mcDonough literally gives speeches about how the toot paranoia is unfounded and people are just spooked and not to worry. It is VERY clear that you either didn't play the game and are just shitposting or you didn't pay attention.

>There is nothing contradictory about insular scientists being socially inept.
But there is something contradictory about them choosing the shittiest and quite frankly dumbest possible "solution" to their problems (sending up a bunch of fucking Super Mutants). Ultimately though everything in this pastebin about the Mutants is putting about ten thousand times more brainpower into trying to create a good excuse for why Super Mutants are in the Commonwealth than Bethesda put into the entirety of Fallout 4, let alone their explanation for mutants. The reality is they could have just made the mutants for shits and giggles and it would have made just as much sense and been slightly less retarded than the current explanation, which itself is just a half-assed excuse given the minimal effort possible to make it not look like a lazy excuse to add an iconic enemy where the lore doesn't allow it.
>Wanting to make a better labor force than gen1 and gen2 synths is not a retarded motivation.
It is when they're shown using that labor force exclusively as less efficient mister handies, glorified repairmen (something a robot could already do), and slave hunters for the former.
>Wanting to make robots with intuition, and that require less maintenance because they are organic
You don't need to give a cyborg sentience to benefit from the advantages of its hybrid organic nature.
>The plan and motivations of the toot are not actually retarded
They are, but relative to the rest of Fallout 4, they're pretty smart actually. So yes, they're not retarded when your standards are the literal lobotomites that make up the rest of Bethesda's "characters".
>Complete obedience IS the goal of the synth program.
If that were the case, then ANY scientist worth half a shit would have implemented failsafes that instantly shut units down the moment they showed any amount of free will long before they achieved anything close to machine sentience.
cont.?

I feel like people who didn't play the game are often the loudest shitposters on this website. and that goes for everything, not just fallout4. This guy being wrong about everything and saying things that are in the game proves he doens't know what he's talking about, yet he's the loudest shitposter. I see this with other games too. What is it about this website that causes the people to do this?

you are the most fucking retarded redit poster holy shit

mental illness and/or (mentally) underage

> Radiation works differently in Fallout.
Aside from Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, and NV, you mean. If you were being genuine about this answer you would have said "because Bethesda wanted to create as few assets as possible".
> where people thought nuclear bombs would cause godzilla and there would be radioactive clouds.
Holy fuck no wonder you like Fallout 4 if you actually believe people thought that shit was real even in the 50s. Learn what a fucking hyperbolic metaphor is.
>This one is two parts.
Yeah, it's two parts.
1. Bethesda is lazy with creating assets so pipe guns occupy a majority role for most of the firearms in the game
2. Bethesda is lazy with creating leveled lists and just slaps them all in regardless of the context of the container they're slapping it on
> but the alternative is that he's an idiot
It's not really an alternative, it's just what the case is. Your explanation is the "alternative", that is, a bunch of made up bullshit headcanon to justify something the writers didn't give a shit about because they knew their audience were either too stupid or uninterested to notice or care about, or fanboy enough to create elaborate, retarded extrapolations based on nothing like this pastebin.
> He secretly resented that they ripped his family apart
Earlier you stated that he doesn't give a shit about his family, now he suddenly does? Make up your mind. Actually don't, because I'll tell you right now: he didn't give a shit and there's no implication that he ever wanted the institute to fall. He's just a two dimensional half-assed character that they didn't have the time to finish, didn't have the inclination to flesh out, or both.
> He's smart though, so he realizes this, and he hates it.
If that were the case then there would be some implication of this through his dialogue.
>because he's been raised a certain way and now he's a sociopath
That's not how sociopathy works you fucking infant.
not cont, I'm done

>pastebin.com/Qg5ZEZmP
>Gunners

You know what it IS kind of fucking dumb you can't talk, negotiate, or join the Gunners in anyway shape or form.
It isn't like they're backward fucking oogabooga Tribals or psychopathic Raiders: they're a mercenary group. They're supposed to be professional killers, right? So why wouldn't you.. Like.. Just go and talk to one of their officers or get a badge or something? Dress in one of their uniforms and snooker your way in?

tl;dr: everything in this pastebin is fucking retarded. The next line is "The BoS see the tech as an abomination" which is absolutely so fucking stupid it makes my brain hurt thinking that anyone who played the real Fallout games could think this when that's literally the opposite of the Brotherhood of Steel's mantra. Of course, I doubt the people who wrote this copebin actually played F1, 2, or NV, and that just sort of seals it. This has been a huge waste of time but I'm tired of retarded Bethesdrones thinking they're hot shit for being so contrarian they go full circle into eating up generic AAA schlock and acting like it's some great masterpiece and they're so superior for "getting it" and being "above" the users of a korean basketweaving forum that spend the majority of their time jerking it to hentai.

The institutes first mission to was make a handyman army to clean up the surface.
You see that with Valentine's backstory.
That all fell through when the Institute and Commonwealth people got into conflict.
Then they became intensely paranoid and withdrew into hiding. Believing they were in danger they then changed their mission to spying on the commonwealth and trying to manipulate them to avoid being found and wiped out.

The cylinders around the lower legs and wrists are the worst part

Every Fallout game, hell every RPG has a main quest with a degree of urgency to it yet you can fuck around with sidequests and side activities all you want. Don't pretend like that is unique to Fallout 4 because you're too much of a brainlet to ignore it.

I'd just like to take this moment to say that the Minutemen could've been a pretty cool faction if they weren't shackled to the Settlement system, essentially making them into a shitty DIY faction.

I sort of imagine a quest line of reuniting shattered bands of remaining Minutemen into the fold, and maybe hunting down traitors and dire threats or something, I dunno. I don't know how Bethesda managed to make Citizen-Soldiers with a penchant for Laser Muskets and artillery boring, but they did it all the same.

>the real fallout games
well love it or hate but f4 says the synths are an abomination that would start another holocaust.

They linked them too much to being goodie twoshoes. They came off as childlike larpers.
One of the final institute quests they try to stop you from abducting someone and you can just tell them to scram. Proving they are a non-entity in the region.

>Here's your protagonist bro.

radiation has worked differently in fallout since the first game, where it also followed this pattern of remaining a wasteland way past what is realistic. the actual radiation itself works differently than in real life, and always had.

Fallout is based on oldschool scifi. Where stuff like godzilla is from. Laser guns and jetpacks, the nukagirl suit is basically ripped from the era's scifi comics. It's not a matter of real life people believing anything, it's about being based aesthetically on these scifi stories. Going on about what people in real life believe is missing the point here. As you've done several times.

pipe guns make sense to exist prewar, and the game explains why.

that possible explanation for sean's behavior is sound. you asking for things to be explicitly stated to you, especially matters of a character's mindset, means you're a brainlet. the character isn't going to sit there and say "well, I feel sad because mom is back and we didn't get to be a family". No dumbass, he reveals that in lines about "finally" being together, bnut he doesn't spell it out. It's so frustrating that an author leaves info between the lines and idiots like you complain that it isn't regurgitated to you. All you're doing is simple contradiction. It's not an argument. and yes, sean's behavior could be explained by sociopathy, and it's more than implied by some of his dialogue, especially about you and your relationship and how he feels about it.

>Why the toot wants to influence the surface is discussed.
No, it's not. You discussed HOW the toot influences the surface, not why. You discussed what PROMPTED them to begin interfering, but not WHY they chose the absolute most retarded possible methods to do so that they possibly could have within their power.
> they also have them un-supervised digging a new extension to the facility in a side rock face
No, I know that. Like I said, these are all tasks that could easily be performed by autonomous robots or cyborgs without free will.
>They also have synths performing extended infiltration missions on the surface
...which wouldn't be necessary had they not created synths in the first place. Like I said, the only justified use they have for independent synths is to clean up the problems they've created from using independent synths as Mr. Handies (Handys?).
>The toot doens't want the people on surface to be alive
So kill them a more efficient way. Did you even read my post?
>Super mutants cannot reproduce
They also live extremely long lives. Or did you forget that since it's established in the non-Bethesda Fallouts that you didn't play?
>this entire conversation is about creating a superhuman workforce.
Yeah. Which they're going to use to replace their superhuman workforce of robots that can already do everything they need them to do.
>Since apparently you just didn't read the material, the surface already knew about the toot.
I already knew that from playing the game and I did read the material, read my post again.

Gunners should have been an alternative to the Minutemen, or been a joinable faction for bounty hunting or security missions. But instead they are just Talon Company 2.0

>Mayor mcDonough literally gives speeches about how the toot paranoia is unfounded and people are just spooked and not to worry.
Yes, he does. Which is then undermined by the dozens of other retarded actions they're also taking in addition. You don't go trying to seed information that you're actively working to discredit on the side. What the institute is doing is equivalent to doing a magic trick with sleight of hand while screaming at your audience "HEY DON'T LOOK AT MY LEFT HAND, JUST KEEP LOOKING AT MY RIGHT HAND"
> This guy being wrong about everything
Please quote a single thing I've posted that's wrong about anything. Go ahead.

The most ironic thing about the institute if you side with them is their ultimate goal is to peacefully build a nuclear reactor. With plans for a future dark matter reactor to completely leave humanity behind.

Words straight out of Maxson's mouth you fucking idiot. But since the trend over and over again is that you didn't even play the game, it's no surprise at all that you would refer to words straight put of a character's mouth as not making sense to be in a fallout game.

over, and over, and over, you've made it clear you didn't even play the fucking game. Synths and the technology to amke synths being an "abomination" is literally a fucking direct quote from the leader of the BoS. get fucked you ignorant shitposter shitposting about a game you didn't even play.

Not him but the made up headcanonshit you posted about them wanting to Enclave the surface.
Thats horse shit.

>not regurgitated to you by an NPc who pauses his life to spell it out for you, like it would be in NV
The level of contrarian assblastedness here is off the charts.

It's a nma tard just walk along. Not worth it.

>radiation has worked differently in fallout since the first game
Yeah, it has. However, it hasn't prevented green vegetation from growing in any games except the Bethesda games.
>where it also followed this pattern of remaining a wasteland way past what is realistic
Actually, no. Fallout 2 has several highly vegetated areas, realistically depitcting the area it's set in. New Vegas and F1 both are set in a fucking desert, yet they still have more vegetation than F3 and F4.
>Going on about what people in real life believe is missing the point here. As you've done several times.
I'm not missing the point, I'm ignoring it because it's retarded in the first place. I was just calling whoever wrote this pastebin a retard for thinking people actually believed radiation could create Godzilla.
>pipe guns make sense to exist prewar, and the game explains why.
Nah, they don't, and the game doesn't. Maybe a handful here and there, but not constantly appearing. The reality is the people in charge of placing loot were too lazy to create varied leveled lists based on the context of the zone they were placed in. Then Super Mutant Hines came up with a half-assed justification for this later.
>that possible explanation for sean's behavior is sound.
Sure, it's just as sound as "All of Fallout 4 is a computer simulation being run by the Enclave and that's how they programmed him." It's also just as sound as "The entire game is a dream so that's why nothing really makes any sense." Point is, just because nothing proves it wrong, doesn't change the fact that nothing supports it either other than delusional extrapolation based on headcanon and straw-grasping.
>Words straight out of Maxson's mouth you fucking idiot
Go play Fallout 1, child.

What made up headcanonshit I posted you stupid blathering retard? Fuck off.

I right-clicked on the opened gif, selected "search image with google" and got white-crow. That's the artist.

This guy is the XV-kun of Fallout threads, you can tell from him calling it "the toot". He posts constantly in fallout threads and derails all of them with his headcanon shitposting. It's some aussie too, who would have thought

actually read my post you absolute tard.

What, your post where you misinterpreted my giving a better way for the Institute to kill off the topsiders as what I believe they were actually doing? Come back and read my post again in a couple years when your curriculum teaches you basic reading comprehension.

>I'd just like to take this moment to say that the Minutemen could've been a pretty cool faction if they weren't shackled to the Settlement system, essentially making them into a shitty DIY faction.

My main problem with Fallout 4 was the Minutemen as well:
I hated (firstly and mostly) how.. The design of their faction basically ruined the entire game. They lacked a lot of personality and depth because your interactions with them revolved around an endless supply of gopher quests and menial tasks. What's more is that despite doing these quests I never felt satisfied accomplishing them? It never felt as though the more I did them the more 'momentum' my faction got and the more military-social-economic influence the Minutemen had? Like, as if I was the only person in my faction literally fucking doing anything?
Maybe I just didn't devote enough time to them..... Not that I wanted to because they were all the same thing: kill this, build this. I never encountered any depth or story complexity to them.

The other thing is I just feel the base building mechanics was an awkward, uncomfortable, tacked on feature that was frustrating to use and perhaps poorly thought out. I fucking despised the UI and anytime I was forced to build anything for a quest it was just a fucking nightmare- it would have been neat if the building interface just scooped you up into a sky view or a mod-like interface of the area, but instead it's this shitty personal do-hickery.

that's one of the most common criticisms of NV, and he's right. People pause their lives to spell out information to you in very unrealistic ways. People like you thinking NV is some sacred cow free of criticism is one of the issues with game discussion.

I'm not picking through this unorganized pile, but you're wrong about almost everything. You have contradicted things directly from the game, and you've omitted things the person had already wrote about. As they said, your posts are full of simple contradiction and namecalling.

They didn't want to kill off the topsiders. In fact they never did at any point.
Their victory ending is completely peaceful.

>e, but you're wrong about almost everything.
False.
> You have contradicted things directly from the game
False.
>you've omitted things the person had already wrote about.
False. The only things I omitted were things that they were actually correct about or things that aren't relevant anyway.
> As they said, your posts are full of simple contradiction
False
>and namecalling
Literally the only thing you've posted in this entire thread that's not false.

>They didn't want to kill off the topsiders.
So you admit your pastebin is bullshit?

I'm off to bed. Good to see F4-kun still can't defend his shitty game without contradicting his own pastebin he constantly shitposts with.

>my pastebin
Holy shit the mental illness, I have nothing to do with that im another user saying how your headcanon is trash.
The institute isn't an Enclave clone.
If their ultimtae goal was genocide why is their ending peaceful? actually play the damn game before discussing it.

You are mistaken.

The current goal of the institute is to wait out the topsiders, and when they are dead, the Institute reclaims the surface. They plan on using their gen3 synths to do this. The supermutants are an effort to speed this process along, and the synth replacements are an effort to keep the heat off of the institute while they wait. This is all stated in the game. if you believe otherwise, you are mistaken and should go play it again.

The reason you are apparently confused is because the protagonist has certain goals that they enact when they become Director. The protagonist choosing the Institute ending has a different tone than the Institute did prior to the protagonist becoming Director.

>That chestplate made for deflecting shrapnel right into your throat

No it isn't. Your entire post is headcanon
>The protagonist choosing the Institute ending has a different tone than the Institute did prior to the protagonist becoming Director.
The reactor was fathers idea it his last wish and his last mission for you.
Play the damn game retard.

just don't, not even porn mods make it worth it.

Attached: 1543146167612.png (755x676, 1.08M)

>that's one of the most common criticisms of NV, and he's right
Samefagging your own assertions won't help here, user.

You clearly missed a lot of conversations from around the Institute. So ironically, I obviously played it more than you did. How the Institute personnel feel about the surfacers is made clear in conversations you overhear.
The reactor is a way to be more self-sufficient because they are running out of power. Them wanting a better reactor to be more self-sufficient does not change anything about what you learn about how they feel about the surface.

The Institute is a malicious entity before the protagonist takes over, and it's only if you choose to be benevolent does that tone change. In fact, they even change your radio message behind your back if you're too nice. Which is also one of the pieces of evidence that a benevolent Director protagonist swooping in and reforming everything is wishful thinking.

>other hand isn't even holding the weapon

Attached: 1508033271896.jpg (270x249, 44K)

Why are they doing the same scene they did in FO3

You are mistaking what you heard and insering headcanon.
Also your comment about the institutes mission changing because of the player is utter bullshit.
The players speech has no impact on the overall ending.
>The reactor is a way to be more self-sufficient because they are running out of power.
Yes self sufficient so they never have to deal with the surface dweller again.
That is the entire point they are peacefully retreating from the surface.

Another thing is your belief they were mass producing super mutants.
They literally shut that shit down.
>The Institute is a malicious entity before the protagonist takes over
Not exactly this is your headcanon as stated their ultimate goal and ending doesn't change no matter what

And then what? You've created a perfect replica of a human, complete with all its weaknesses and free will, and use it for manual labour. meanwhile the wasteland has Mr Handies floating around doing just fine.

You're wrong again. The FEV lab was stuck on creating mutants indefinitely after the FEV tests were concluded. They only reason this was allowed to continue was because they benefitted from the mutants destabilizing the surface. They chose to let the mutants wage war on the surface, than literally just click the machine off.

For you to be under the impression the mutant production had stopped tells me right away you don't know what you're talking about. To be so fundamentally wrong about something that is an important detail. Then to say I'm the one adding headcanon or whatever. Hopefully this is a lesson to you about making assumptions and assuming people who disagree with you MUST be making stuff up.

How old were you guys when you realized Fallout sucks? The retro-futurism theme can only go so far. There are other games that do the post-apocalypse idea much better, and take it more seriously. This game serious hasn't ever been good, from the very first to 76. Bethesda RPGs are not good RPGs. They are just inventory management simulators. The fact that they have won multiple awards for their shitty game design truly baffles me.

Attached: Chrysler-TV-8-tank-1-730x400.jpg (730x400, 63K)

I cant play this game unless I turn it into STALKER
walking around in pitch black with that shitty normal flashlight mod installed and then stumbling right into a pack of giant mutated creatures is truly what this game was made for

Attached: 1549154195042.jpg (2560x1440, 157K)

It doesn't have the weaknesses. That's an important part of all of this. Gen3 synths are the product of FEV research, and they are made with it. Their cells work differently, so they repair themselves very reliably, they require less food/sleep, they suffer from disease/deficiencies less, etc.

They are superhuman to an extent, and so the gen3 synth program does have a goal in mind. They want these superhuman worker/soldiers, with the intuition and problem solving of a big complicated human brain, but just without the free will and meaning of life pondering. The gen3 synth program is "finished" when they get the traits they want (intuition, problem solving, superhuman bodies), without the traits they don't want (free will).

Your entire fucking argument has been wrong i'm not going go down your strawman insanity.
You misunderstood the game or dudn't play it.
At no point did they plan to kill off the top siders.
On the mutants
>
Personal record, Dr. Brian Virgil. This will likely be my last recording. My requests to shut down the FEV program have repeatedly been denied. We've learned nothing useful in the last 10 years. I have to take matters into my own hands. What we're doing... it's not right. It needs to stop. If anyone should find this after... after I'm gone... know that I never wanted to hurt anyone. Anyone! Do you understand me? I'm going to make sure the whole program is shut down. If not for good, then at least for years to come. After that...I know what I'm about to do will be seen as a betrayal. Treason, he'll probably call it. So... I'm leaving. I have a plan... and if it works, I'll be somewhere safe. Somewhere not even the Coursers can find me. Everything that we've done, the lives we've taken... if there is a god, may he have mercy on us all.
>In April of 2286, Dr. Brian Virgil succeeded Dr. Syverson as head of the project, and it quickly became evident to him that FEV program had run its course, having produced no new data within the past ten years. Virgil decided he could no longer live with himself knowing that he was ruining the lives of so many innocent people. He tried to lodge a formal complaint with the Directorate. When no reaction came, Virgil destroyed the research lab and all of the research, which became known as "Incident V" within the Institute. He then proceeded to transform himself into a super mutant using a unique strain of FEV to flee into the Glowing Sea. The FEV program was finally ended after over one hundred years of abduction and experimentation. At the time of the Sole Survivor's arrival at the Institute, the research wing remains in a security lockdown

The passage you copied proves that the institute is a malicious entity. Virgil is rebelling again the malicious leadership, and he is fearing for his life for doing so (another sign).
The FEV production line was NOT shut down, it wasn't until Virgil did it himself against orders did it stop. They abducted and killed people (made them into mutants, killing the human) for an unsepcified amount of time (10 years was just the time they hadn't had a breakthrough, it was unsepcified before that. as if continuing the experiments for 10 years past your most recent breakthrough isn't malicious enough).

I'm not sure if you're trying to say the institute isn't malicious or whether you maybe don't know what that word means. Trying to defend the institute is a lost cause. They are a decidedly evil entity.

and saying they weren't trying to kill the surfacers is stupid dude. Why do you think they tossed hundreds of mutants up there? Instead of literally just euthanizing them in the vat if they weren't useful in the experiments. The fact that hundreds of mutans, possibly thousands( if we're talking 10-20 years worth) made their way to the surface, instead of literally just being killed while in the vat, very very very obviously shows evil intent. There is no reason to send it to the surface when you can just flush the vat it's in, or kill it on the exam table, or any number of really easier things. Remember, the only way to get in/out of the Institute is either by the teleporter or the drainage sewer.

People who try to say the Institute wasn't evil are genuinely stupid. Maybe they just didn't put these two things together, or maybe they have no moral compass themselves so they see no fault, or whatever the explanation. But Institute fans are genuinely dumb or fucked up in the head or something.

no it diesn't you fething idiot. That is your headcanon.
The quote gies don't attribute malicious intent which can be easily explained by incompetence.
The institute was disgarding their test subjects on the surface which made the problem.
>The FEV production line was NOT shut down
No it was shut down the division head Virgil shit it down.
Thats the entire point of the Institutes backstory due to incompetence, blundering and egos they made mistakes.
Really you either didn't play it or just don't get it.

Holy shit you're beyond deluded

Also Virgil didn't get ordered not to shut it down. He literally got "no reply" so decided to just destroy it and run away because of the internal politics of the institute.

Holy fucking goddamn shit. Meanwhile you've got designs from Detroit like pic related that look more Fallout-y than what's actually in Fallout

Attached: 20150409_15.jpg (366x650, 21K)

It's not like that in Morrowind, New Vegas, Fallout 3 or 2 or Tactics.

Attached: 1553426227183.jpg (263x325, 37K)

that design clearly borrows heavily from the m-60 starship

for some reason he didn't equip one "leg" armor slot, and left it empty, if he had equipped it, he would have two boots.

It probably was a concept drawing for the Starship, this one too

Attached: 20150409_14.jpg (366x650, 22K)

This is exactly what I'm talking. Murdering thousands of people, and then dumping those monsters on the surface to kill more, is a "mistake". This is literally exactly what I'm talking about when I said "maybe fans of the institute don't have a moral compass themselves, so are fans of the institute".

The institute is evil because of what they did. They kidnapped and murdered hundreds/thousands, and then very maliciously put those mutants onto the surface. And you absolutely proved me right about your mental condition by coming along and saying "aww just mistakes user". You're fucked up in the head.

Same as above. Can you seriously not see that letting people get murdered over and over needlessly for 10 years, and then doubling that number by dumping the monster you made on the surface, isn't evil? And why are you trying to say letting this happen is just "aww no reply, guess it's not them being evil, it's just incompetence XD". What the actual fuck is wrong with you?

You know, I'm actually not surprised at all. I already called it that people who like the institute and defend them are literally immoral sacks of shit, and you literally prove it by saying "nu uh, it's just a no reply", as if that changes anything.

You have not made any sufficient case to try to say the Institute isn't evil. Not even a flimsy one. Letting this sort of experiment, and especially letting it continue after it's been pointless for 10 years, and ESPECIALLY then dumping those monsters on the surface, IS What I'm saying is evil.

>With plans for a future dark matter reactor

What? Who wrote this shit?

>Why do you think they tossed hundreds of mutants up there?
Because they didn't want them hanging around lol.
It was a catch and release program.
>Instead of literally just euthanizing them in the vat if they weren't useful in the experiments.
Because get this. Maybe they thought it wasn't moral to kill them.
See misguided morality leads all sorts of problems depending on your point if view.
Maybe you should consider that they thought they were being moral.
Letting the dumb mutants live freely pretty sure they can't even breed

who cares but the implication is the institute had even more advanced technology down the pipe line.

And something that's probably a proto MBT-70
Hell, the real MBT-70 would fit perfectly in Fallout. Way better than the abomination Bethesda cooked up instead

>murdering thousands of people.
they turned some people into mutants. They probably thought it was benevolent because immunity to disease and radiation is a perk.

The Double barrels is the thing I have the least problem with, while it may be impractical but its vidya and a little excess isn't bad.
What grinds me the most, other than the completely nonsensical design choices, is that the design cues are form completely different period.
It looks like something out of Dieselpunk, Interwar/WW2 setting.
In 50s the age of aerodynamics was here and everyone was going for a very sleek look.
It would have been several times better if they just took a M103, put another barrel on it and called it a day.

i thought he was just being dramatic but holy shit, you are fucked in the head

What the fuck? Fuck off retard you can't just go around calling everyone that.
Bring some arguments low iq shit poster.

They wanted the Popular Mechanics sirca 1930's audience

Being braindamaged into a retarded orc isn't a nice thing

Based

>Actual turret part of the hull and commanders cupola turned into a machine gun nest
Well at least to the relief of who ever designed that FO4 monstrosity, artists have always been retarded.
I wouldn't mind a game with this aesthetic if the designs have some sense behind them, but don't mix a completely different look into your 50s emulating setting

The institute specifically kidnapped sick people that were dying, Pretty sure that is said in the story.
They thought they were saving humanity by making rad and disease resistant people or other cures.
They are also more intelligent and Virgil can cure it.

>Take sick and dying people
>Turn them into megastrong retards that can live for a century
>Send them back up to the surface to maim, kill, and eat healthy humans
Such benevolence

>The institue
You faggots were arguing about the story of Fallout fucking 4 this whole time

It's already been stated they are incompetent bungling idiots.
If you are the asshat that thought i was agreeing that it was benevolent kill yourself.
The entire point is that due to mismanagement they fucked up. Not that they were going out of their way to create a super mutant problem.

Was that mothership zeta crew mod for FO3 and NV ever finished? That was probably the best mod i've ever played and the fact that it's better than any of the shit Bethesda farts out really speaks volumes about the modders capability and Bethesda's incompetence.

Holy shit you are retarded
>nigga
why am I not surpised a nigger can't understand anything.

shut the fuck up already

he's just trolling. the FEV research was part of the synth program, not curing people of anything. It's never said they only kidnapped sick people. the institute didn't want to save people by making them have FEV, they wanted to make synths with the FEV. virgil can in fact not cure FEV mutation, he can only do it one person at a time and with a sample of their blood and with days time for each of them, he was only able to do it once (himself) and because he had a blood sample of himself already. that user literally made up a bunch of stuff and posted it, I'm not sure why. everything he said is wrong.

Why is Fallout 4 such a piece of shit bros?

fucking disgusting
why didn't they just keep the combat armor from fallout 3?

omg lol now that I've seen it. ill never look at fallout armor the same

Attached: 1457620446657.png (492x352, 160K)

Because it's made by bethesda

>no neck armor
>chest exposed
>lower arms exposed
>every part of the leg except the side of the thighs exposed
>stomach exposed
What the fuck is even the point?

ME HATE NEWSPAPER

It's not their favorite child, TES, so it gets abused and experimented on to see what works and doesn't work

the worst part is that it doesn't even look cool

>he doesn't think the watercooled assault rifle is kino
AHAHAHAHAHA!

You found the solution for your predicament user, pirate it. You gain nothing from buying it.

I think they might have been salty that people liked NV better than 3.

>There are other games that do the post-apocalypse idea much better, and take it more seriously
like what?

>The Double barrels is the thing I have the least problem with, while it may be impractical but its vidya and a little excess isn't bad.
Everybody knows the right number is 11 barrels

Metro
S.T.A.L.K.E.R (Not really post apoc, but feels more like it than FO4)
Mad Max
Dayz

Splatoon also counts but hey

Already played them all. Any others? Already did Wasteland, too.

Here's your armor bro

TES is their favorite child even though they’re ignoring it for a full decade?

They're still milking Skyrim eight years later with their Paid Mods Club while working on TES 6

at least the full helmet looks good

What's the glass slit that goes halfway up your head for?

This looks fantastic. From whatever seemingly amazing game that is, I would totally buy that ASAP.

For your third eye, obviously. Don't tell me your pineal gland is dormant, user.

>get double barrle shotgun in Fallout 4
>oh boy time to DOOM
>its fucking terrible even at point blank range
>upgrade it a bit and get a skill to boost single shot rifle damage
>its till absolute garbage

Attached: RAGE RUXPIN.jpg (771x578, 184K)

I noticed that weapons only feel as powerful as they should once you pass level 80

everything scales in fallout 4, its not the weapon it's your level, once you pass a certain level the weapons feel like they should, not a good design but it is what it is
