What does Yea Forums use to play fighting games?
I use a dualshock controller.
Met a keyboard warrior once. A rare breed.
stick
Keyboard warriors are more common than they seem, especially in poverty games.
You just don't see them often because PC isn't great for running locals on, and even when a game is running on pc playing on keyboard can cause a lot of problems since Windows isn't capable of understanding multiple keyboards as distinct devices. Lots of netplay warriors get started on keyboard and never bother to change though.
Hitbox
8bitdo M30
How do you even play with that thing?
Cute art, user. Where'd you get the custom plexi and button cutouts?
Dualshock 4. I'm not good enough to get a $200 Astro C40 or Hitbox and have it be worth it
With your hands, it's better than a stick.
I have a Hitbox and it's definitely worth it. I love it.
god i wish i could play with a hitbox but they stopped making ps3 ones
I have a PS3 one and need to upgrade
As someone who is going to get into fighsticks I've been seeing more and more of these lately. Can anyone tell me why are they so popopular now and why they are better than a Fightstick?
This or a Hori Fightpad.
That's a nice design, well done
Currently playing on a razer stick. Making my own, but plans got delayed because of defective PCB.
lovely art user
straight up
You can make your own hitbox for around half the cost, it's not hard at all.
No stick travel time, more precise inputs.
Basically lets you do inputs faster by reducing the number of hand motions. i.e. a DP is tap forward, hold down, press forward which since you're using two fingers to do it only takes as long as it takes to press the forward button twice, instead of having to move the stick forward, then back and down, then forward again.
It's not a huge difference, but technically optimal. It's just taken this long for people to notice because generally the top level players all grew up on arcades, which is why they're top players, so they're used to stick, and the difference is small enough that it won't let a worse player beat a better one.
I know nothing of fight sticks. I've always used my basic dualshock controllers since I was to insure about dumping potentially hundreds of dollars for a peripheral I might not like very much.
I do have 2 old dreamcast sticks that I break out for MVC2 and CVS every once in a while and they're pretty good.
i want to mod it because it's so easy to, but i also just like the simple aesthetic.
So how do they do diagonal commands with that? Or moves where you have to do a half a circle? Im fighting game brainlet, and sticks are hard enough for that.
can I draw dicks on my fightstick
I mean, yeah sure, but people are gonna more likely call it a Fightsdick than anything.
My nigga, just cleaned and re greased mine. Love that stick.
you just press up/down and either side.
seems like youre just a brainlet in general
A quarter, at the arcade, which is the optimum place for playing a fighting game.
