I’m surprised more people weren’t mad about Nintendo abandoning the wii u and basically leaving it’s userbase to rot. I imagine it would’ve made an already rough console experience even worse knowing nintendo are going to pretend you don’t exist if you don’t drop another $300 on a wii u 2

I think what comforts them is that in a decade or so anything Wii-U is going to be expensive as fuck as it was a Nintendo blip, especially the controllers which you couldn't buy separate.

Nintendo fans would rather Nintendo honesty try again and become exactly as successful as they are now. Even fans know the quicker Nintendo moves on from WiiU, the better. The real crime Nintendo did is giving switch low specs, so for WiiU owners, it like buying a WiiU again, just in another shape.

OP here, I bought a Wii U when Mario Kart 8 came out
I enjoyed it quite a bit, ended up playing through some Wii titles I missed. The Wii U is Nintendo's dreamcast to me. Plus its gonna be worth money in 10 years
