i am

looks comfy but what happens when you try to fly into the floor or a building

imagine playing a flight sim with a controller

it'd be extremely painful

HOTAS works on consoles too m8

>consoles

kek

It's doable, however you'll still need a keyboard for other infrequent functions like the engine controls or lights. They'll have to come up with an interaction wheel system that's bound to a button if they want full controller-only support.

PDFs of the lessons from FSX.

I'll be excited if it works with VR. This would be a real reason to drop coin on a headset

I'm looking forward to it. Looks very comfy. I remember playing the one for 95 in the computer room in middle school. Always crashed them into buildings on purpose. As an adult I will try to be a proper pilot.

The game crashes.

Will it have out of the box VR support? If not, fuck right off, I'll stay with XP11.

people tried that more than 10 years ago, and even back then it was possible to jury-rig a setup that allowed you to zoom around with a controller. Sure, you couldn't do very precise flying, and anything that went beyond pressing Ctrl+E to start the engines required a keyboard and a mouse, but it was perfectly doable.

>set L1 and R1 as shift states
>quadruple number of possible inputs
>play DCS on a Dualshock 4
I mean a HOTAS with headtracking is better, but it honestly isn't that bad. Got it to work for the Su-25 and Su-27.
>D-pad is trim
>D-pad + R1 is sensor control
>D-pad + L1 is weapon controls
>D-pad + R1 + L1 is autopilot controls
>could further double it by making long/short presses for everything

Flight sim community just learned to abandon FSX for X-Plane or Prepar3d. They are not coming back unless Microsoft bends over backwards to the sim dads.

Just imagining playing this with full hotas on a comfy weekend, seeing the vista in op's pic and listening to some Casiopea
Maybe having a sip or smoking some DUUDE

Games are super comfy

a national holiday

Is this gonna be compatible with vr?

>snap to black
>explosion
>battlefield 1 text appears
>"1953-2001" Ahmed Akbarnod
>game teleports you into another plane heading to the building

*comedy

MS would be dumb not to include VR in the new console. I can't think of a single genre where VR is more important and game changing than flight sims.

Well, they were dumb enough to include Kinect, were they not

That was before based phil

Is it VR?

Battle royale mode when?

It's going to be on PC first.

That is true, hopefully they learned
