blackdirt is definitely fucking cool too though. old man Yamajii is fucking cool too, Sado is FUCKING cool. honestly I'm just amazed that even 12 years after watching it for the first time as a kid I'm still able to enjoy it as an adult. of course I fully recognize that the first 63 episodes were probably the best and stand as some of the finest shonen there is on their own, but that the series as a whole is marred by fucking shitty filler. I previously stopped watching years ago at around episode 170 but for now I'm enjoying going through the Arrancar arc again and look forward to seeing where the series ends up, bad cancelled ending or not (I'll just pick up the manga after)

an anime game being great or not is determined by the fans of the animes, since they always exist for the sole purpose of cramming in as much as possible for the japanese fans of the show, whether or not the game is objectively a good game is secondary to its main purpose of being a good game for the fans. fans will overlook a janky aspect of a game if it includes every little scene or in-joke or obscure character from a single episode or single panel of a manga.

Kenpachi is a fucking faggot with the absolute most boring power in the entire series and Kubo literally just used him to get out of situations where he'd written himself into a corner and made an enemy that would be too strong to legitimately kill. His only good fight was against Nnoitra.

What are some shonen manga with actually good plots? Feels like wuxia and cultivation mangas have completely taken the spotlight in that regard and at least there they get to the fucking point in less than 100 chapters of training and buildup

It actually makes sense in this instance because Aizen is hubris: the character. He wanted to test his new abilities not his old ones. Also since Kyouka Suigetsu is a zanpakuto ability, it will fail against enemies who are in a different league of power to you, like Suifeng's Suzumebachi couldn't 2-hit kill Aizen because he was too powerful. Even if he wasn't too much of a proud retard to use it, it wouldn't have worked on Ichigo in this fight.

Youre right. Aizen lost to his own Pride. Just a preface I do find it stupid. But after he got his God marble he just assumed that he was invincible and there was no reason to acknowledge is zanpakuto or anything related to being a Shinigami. Which was fine when his power level was so high that no one could touch him. But then Ichigo just got higher power level. It didn't even take that long, he learned one move and it made him exponentially more powerful than the most powerful spirit in the world.

That's part of why this series fell apart. Kubo will set up a cool concept and did not think it through so it relies on the characters being prideful or stupid to end the plot.

It was implied Nel saved them in the manga, and they were confimed alive in the novels. It helps if you use your brain while reading Bleach.

They quite literally did not have ANY way to kill yhwach. Zero. His abilities are beyond absolutely broken, even if Ichigo and Aizen were somehow immortality.
Kubo literally introduced a macguffin last second out of left field that took away his powers long enough (split second mind you) for ichigo to deal the final blow, and his son eats the remains a few years later, cause even THAT couldn't kill him.

How so? It was a rule that was established well before this fight, and makes perfect sense within the fiction. Most every technique, ability and spell in the entire series is simply an expression of reiatsu, it's akin to learning the greatest kick in the world that knocks out any opponent it strikes, but then being shocked when a gorilla tanks it. There are plenty of examples of bad writing in Bleach, but this really isn't one. Kubo may pull a lot of shit, but asspulls aren't really one of them, he usually lays the foundations for things like this years in advance, which is one of the reasons reading Bleach was so fun. I've never had such fun in speculation threads.

A few got killed tho. Yamamoto. Ukitake, Byakuya before the fangirls brought him back, Nemu, Gin. Komamura, pretty much. Unohana.
And a fair amount of the antagonists but noone cares about them.

Sort of? This isn't a New Concept. Ichigo attempted to cut Kenpachi but couldn't because kenpachi's power level was way too high. The only way Ichigo could hurt him was by evening the gap and the easiest way to do that was to improve his relationship with his sword. It incentivized the core part of bleach's world, that zanpakuto are not just tools they work in symbiosis with their wielder. So that concept didn't come from nowhere. The problem is that Aizen losing required him to act out of character. The man who planned for everything didn't think that Ichigo would learn his father's signature move? Especially when both of them use getsuga tenshou regularly?

It's a loop. It's actually what the final boss entire plan hinged on. If you die in the mortal world that you are reincarnated in the spiritual world. Die in spiritual world and you are reincarnated in the mortal world. There has to be a consistent ratio of Mortals and spirits for the world to exist as it does. That's why the Shinigami how to kill off all of the Quincy. Quincy weapons completely destroy spirits without allowing them to reincarnate in the opposite world.

Did we ever see Unohana get killed? I can't remember since I started skimming chapters at some point, but she dueled Zaraki to the death, and I don't recall ever seeing Kenpachi actually killing her other than maybe skipping right to the killing blow without even showing a decent fight.

Ichigo isn't affected by his power because his reiatsu is way high than Aizen's. It's established in the everybody vs aizen fights.

Dead people and hollows who get purified go to Soul Society. Dead people from Soul Society are reborn as new entities in the human world. This isn't the case when a hollow eats a spirit or when a Quincy kills a hollow, in that case they are erased period.

I don't know what happens when a shinigami kills another though.

She killed Kenpachi over and over again and revived him until he stopped being a pussy and fought at full strength, killing her in the process. Pretty sure you get to see her final moments when he stabs her through the chest.

Well she is nowhere to be seen after, Kenpachi is crying in anguish, noone who can help is around since the closest likely candidate is in the Royal Realm, and her captaincy is taken over by here lieutenant. Seems a fair assumption she did die.

I guess? I think the problem is that it was so obvious. Bad example because Moon rabbit exists but Madara was a final boss I actually liked. Because everything about his motivation made sense with the world around him. He grew up in a life of War and even though he attempted peace that fell apart for him. As long as you have two people of differing opinions war and death are inevitable and true peace is impossible. So he would just change the rules. Turn the moon into a giant eyeball and throw everybody into the Matrix with their own tailor-made heaven. No more free will but also no more war and everyone gets to be happy even if the happiness comes from Magic LSD. Naruto the protagonist is in direct opposition to what Madara believes. Naruto believes that true peace is possible and doesn't believe in compromising. I mean the entire world is United under one headband right now. So Naruto has a personal reason to want to fight Madara.

Aizen by comparison was just bored. He set up circumstances for ichigo's birth because he completed all the side quests and decided to just invent his own final boss. Ichigo only fights Aizen because if he doesn't Aizen kills everyone. That's not personal, that's just basic survival Instinct.

Aizen's last rant towards Urahara was that he hated him because he accepted the world as it was rather than using his knowledge and ability to enforce his will on it. That's almost a perfect description of how Orihime powers work. So why did he only interact with her one time when she's the quintessential embodiment of what Aizen fundamentally believes? Not even a vague attempt to turn her? Especially since he made sure to convince Soul society that she was a traitor to get her to ghost Mexico in the first place? Well, as I said, I liked the Arrancar arc (that one between the end of SS and the beginning of HM when they discover and fight the Arrancar in Karakura town) less than the first two arcs but I didn't hate it, it was alright. However I think I should really read that in small doses since it tends to get kinda repetitive.

If that was the case Bleach never would have made it past five volumes. Read Zombie Powder and you'll see what I mean.

The fun was the shitposting and guessing how much worse things were going to get.
By itself it wasn't bad, just pretty empty, 30 seconds to a minute a week then hours of potential shitposting because kubo.
I will say that at least you don't have to wait for next week since everything is now out. So I would say a 3 to a 5 depending on what was happening that week because it would only end later. And later.
There is one fight that is straight up meatgrinder towards the end of the series tho. It must last 20 chapters of literal nothing progressing, reads like the worst filler in the history of anime. At the time it was just painful then the series got on its very last legs and ended 6 chapters later. With that shit fight ending on a deus ex machina to boot.

Why do Jump properties seem to very rarely get actually good games? Even Dragonball only has a good suite of quality games because there's more fucking games with Goku in them than Mario at this point, and even then not even a third of DB franchise games are particularly great.

Outside of Dragonball there's like 5 or 6 good Naruto games, 2 or 3 good One Piece games, 2 or 3 good JoJo games, a couple good Hokuto no Ken games, a couple good crossover games, and maybe a handful of good games for the rest of the franchises they have combined. Aizen's whole deal is that he could actually back up his arrogance. He wasn't afraid or too conceited to use his powers and mix and match all of his resources. Kyouka Suigetsu was his ace, the thing he used frequently and that displayed his superiority the most, yet the thought of activating it didn't even occur to him in Deicide. Ichigo didn't even learn a counter to it just in case Aizen did use it. Kubo just outright tried to pretend the greatest ability of his resourceful "can walk the walk" villain didn't even exist. It was a "please pretend he can't do this" non-factor even in a situation where Aizen shoved the blade in Ichigo's face and told him to look at it.

Everything except what ichigo, the science DEMs, and the antagonist aizen/bach felt pointless and like filler. Ichigo himself completely lost his personality. There are other realms that are completely unexplored like the what happened to the dogs. The fights all turned into the same "ahaha here's my ace that trumps your previously revealed ace" cliffhanger bullshit or "psssh nothing personal kid." There's a bunch of shit. It started off charming and interesting but everything after the ss arc was a declining slog with few uptics, largely carried by aizen or bankai reveals

Zanpakutō are artificially made tools that amplify their users hidden potential. Kenpachi's fought to such extremes that the soul inside his Zanpakutō was expelled. Leaving only a metal sword.

Fans were already questioning Kubo back in the day. So much so, that when the Bleach anime had its Zanpakutō Rebellion Arc, they had to make Kenpachi disappear for most of the arc, to prevent the obvious spoiler. Along with making it so Yamamoto never saw Zangetsu, otherwise he'd just nuke everything in an attempt kill off any Quincy threats.

No, by the time he faked his death all the soul reapers were already under his hypnosis. The dead body was part of the illusion. They explain that the captains and lieutenants had a demonstration some time beforehand where they all showed their shikai to each other, and Aizen performed the ritual and hypnotized everyone during that.
