Old Blood is the best of nu-Wolf, I loved it. RTCW is good old, classic, straightforward FPS fun except for Forest, one of the worst missions in any game I've played. Good game, but a hard son of a bitch.

While i cannot say in terms of playability (my pc is a super potato so i can't play a lot of the levels without lagging) the sprites while detailed sorta feel blocky on some areas but it's well done at least... id' say it's fun

Looking back, they should've made the secret walls in Wolf3d have something "off" about them to help them look different from the adjacent walls, such as a slightly different color hue, a small crack, etc. Going around to every wall and holding space isn't fun. It's like throwing the holy water in Simon's Quest.

I literally never used it except for killing the scientists after you beat the Super Soldier, and it even sucks for that. Enemies could still take potshots at you because it didn't stun them sometimes.

God, developers really went overboard with the exclusive content back in the day to make you buy every version of the game. Not the *most* consumer-friendly thing, but at least it involved actual effort.

Now they just develop for console first and shit out a PC port with max graphics amounting to little more than AA and uncompressed, but still shit resolution textures. Spent a bunch of money on hardware after seeing the E3 trailer? Fuck you. Enjoy your game that looks like it came out in 2007 but somehow still runs like ass.

I'm stopped playing the game for years when I was a kid because I didn't want to play the Crypt levels.

I remember installing and playing the game on a whim a while back. I constantly got kicked from servers because I'm mortar camping choke points. What? That how the fucking game was played. you either get someone to counter, or you take an alternative route, which most maps had.

I think gold rush was a map that you could mortar spam the allied spawn though
