>anything you wanna add?
Yeah, you’re wrong OP

give me a counterlist then

Warioware Twisted

Why bother? You’re clearly some 18 year old zoom zoom who took this list from the recommended games wiki
Go back there if you want more games, faggot

Should I buy GBA or just emulate it?

imagine being this mad

Buy a DS Lite, no backlight sucks.

Adding:

>ChuChu Rocket
>F-zero Maximum Velocity
>Harvest Moon Friends Mineral Town
>Kirby The Amazing Mirror
>Mario Kart Super Circuit
>Pokemon Pinball
>Sword of Mana

One piece game (2d sidescroll)
Dragon ball advance adventure

>Mega Man Zero
>Mega Man Zero 2
>Mega Man Zero 3
>Mega Man Zero 4

3 and 4 are the only ones worth playing. 1 and 2 are for masochists.

You haven't played the entire list of games here, so you're starting trouble by pretending to have secret knowledge.
A real oldfag would have posted his own list.
Actually, scratch that:

A REAL oldfag would have posted the above list, barring MAYBE Zero 3 and 4, and the Fire Emblem sequels. Every game on that list is solid, those few exceptions are just not "ESSENTIAL" tier.

You're not a newfag, you're not a redditor, you're not even a retardera tranny.

You're just a fag.

Put Battle Network 6 on there, JP/patched version. Once you put all the cut content back in it's as good as 2 was.

this

Emulate. Almost all of those games have really good improvement hacks.

Oh shit u rite
Don't know how I forgot that, that's the game that's almost always in my Game Boy

I'd add Drilldozer, Pokémon Emerald and Yu-Gi-Oh GX duel academy but those are mostly nostalgia choices.
Emulate

Buy if you wanna play WarioWare Twisted
Emulate otherwise
But Twisted is really good

>your list sucks
>okay give me a better list
>fuck off child

SP and Micro have backlight

BOKTAI: THE MOTHERFUCKING SUN IS IN YOUR HANDS

The mm zero games have hacks that restore the censored blood on romhacking.net

Oh and four swords was fun with friends maybe Chain of memories too.

The Legacy Of Goku 2
goat soundtrack too

Whyd you stipulate (minus ports) and then go and list a bunch of ports?

What a fucking meme game haha

Also add the Summon Knight: Swordcraft Story games too

This

The crash games on the gba (not purple) are pretty good.

Attached: E9C8A9F5-5C24-4735-B1B1-C295E7A1CACA.jpg (342x342, 31K)

Zero Mission is a remake (and much better than the NES game), Monkey Ball Jr. is a different enough game

where is Sword of Mana?

>No Pokémon

reminder that the original gba with the gba sp ags-101 screen and a flash cart is the BEST way to go back and replay all your favorite gba titles
>best ergonomics out of any gba, feels like you're actually holding a controller and not some bite sized console meant for children's hands
>crisp backlit screen allows you to enjoy gba sprite art the way it was meant to, even in dark places
>flash cart gives you access to the entire gba library on a single cartridge that you can just keep in at all times

Attached: ags101.jpg (2016x1512, 496K)

here's another picture of my modded gba

Attached: fusion.png (2016x1512, 2.64M)

don't buy an ags-100 only get ags-101

Castlevania tho

and what the hell, one more for good measure

Attached: fusion2.jpg (2016x1512, 476K)

I would pay $80 for a premade setup with those components.

nah the best way to enjoy them is emulated on a pc with a buffalo contoller
the ags 101 has horrible ghosting

Super Robot Taisen OG1 & 2

>Normal GBA is wider for my hands but has no backlight
>GBA SP has backlight but is cramped for my hands
>A modded normal GBA that has a backlight costs $200 at the local gameshop

Attached: CAN'T WAKE UP.jpg (319x318, 37K)

It costs a lot less to mod it yourself

why choose when you can have them all? buy a flashcart OP

Attached: IMG_0694.jpg (3680x2604, 1.9M)

Mod it yourself.

haven't noticed any ghosting since modding it and I've put a few hundred hours in since then. I mostly play in places that I don't have a PC, ie on flights, in bed, whatever. Had a craving some time ago to go back and replay some of those titles so decided to do it right and mod my old original launch gba. I don't mind emulation (and hell, even emulate a lot of consoles and games) but for handheld game consoles nothing really ever feels as good as actually playing it on a handheld

buy one on ebay for like half that if you can't mod one yourself

>Klonoa: Empire of Dreams
Fuck yeah.

I can try I suppose. Just seems a little scary to me.

>sneaking in time to play in the dark at night
>shitty worm light and squinting destroyed my eyes
honestly wish I could take back all the time spent or at least had a backlight gba sp backlight but I'm sure its just genetic...

Attached: 1548058849787.jpg (482x427, 36K)

Try 150, people charge an arm and a leg for this shit.

It's piss easy, all you do is unscrew the screws to take it apart, unplug the old screen from the board, plug the new screen in, and then bolt it back together. Buy an extra gba "shell" on amazon (it's like 10-15$) because you'll have to cut some of the ridges on the inside of the shell with an x-acto knife or the like to get the new screen to fit right in the shell. It really only takes 20~ minutes to get it all done and there's really nothing you can fuck up.

>No Mario Kart
>No Pokemon
nigga

This. Have my old DS lite with an R4 and an EZFlash Omega.

Attached: 1480268278908.gif (160x160, 178K)

If youre still too scared just get one of these bad boys

>no pac man collection
shit list

Pac-Man Arrangement is great but it is a port, we just never got the arcade version in America

who cares though? it's the best pac man game ever, in portable form, with 3 other great games on top. absolute necessity for the console.

>No Mega Man Xtreme 3

Here's my list

Attached: GBA.jpg (7665x3384, 2.14M)

I'll just stick to playing them on my hacked 3ds.

Attached: 1492919360235.jpg (428x576, 83K)

ags-101 screen only runs at 50hz too

I guess they dropped it from 60 because the ghosting would have made games unplayable

Medabots RPG

>nobody has posted the Yea Forums wiki yet

vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Boy_Advance

Attached: 1547491908167.png (480x800, 309K)

>Sonic Advance games (3 might be debatable)
>Pokemon Emerald and Fire Red/Leaf Green
>Konami Krazy Racers
>Harvest Moon M/FoMT
>Drill Dozer (haven't played, but know it's popular)

>no one posted double dragon advance

Zoids Legacy is a superior customizable robot RPG

because it's the reddit wiki.

The most soullful Nintendo handheld they have ever made.

It hasn't been updated in years.

How do you guys feel about playing GBA games on a GameCube? I always thought the Game boy player was pretty great, even with out using the software mod

Attached: 1200px-GameCube-Game-Boy-Player.jpg (1200x1616, 176K)

>Go through list
>sees banjo pilot
Into the trash it goes

How often does a wiki for an 18 year old handheld need to be updated?

What's there to update? Not like there's any new GBA games coming out
Yeah, I enjoyed mine, was a cool little novelty

The definitive way to play Superstar Saga

It's better than the sp but some games are buggy or wont even work at all.

>Phalanx
>Bad

Romhacks

>the software mod
The what now?

oh shit nvm I though you meant this, the gba box art is different

Attached: 1537251156981.jpg (1000x730, 121K)

The Gamecube controller fucking sucks for them
The dpad is unusable so you have to use the analog stick which can be inaccurate

Harmony of Dissonance is legit terrible game. Don't touch that trash.

It replaces the boot disc entirely and makes the games look better / less input lag. Sadly, it requires around 40 - 50 dollars to get everything from scratch to install the softmod (unless you have it laying around your house already.)

GBA player is the patrician choice.

I'll add to your list
>shining soul 2
>pokemon emerald
>pomemon pinball rs
>pokemon red rescue team
>yugioh 7 trials to glory
>summon night 1/2
>super robot taisen 1/2
And finally
>mech platoon

You may have actually decimated him(her(hemr))

This made me laugh user. Thank you.

>The Gamecube controller fucking sucks for them

That's true, I can't argue with that. It's the one issue I have with it. I would love a Hori controller but those cost an army and a leg

warioware twisted is harder to emulate with a controller but I havent tested it on mobile yet
on controller, you rotate the right stick. It works for just beating the final stage, but its impossible to master specific missions in the spindex.
It just rotates too slowly and I cant slow down emulation in mgba.

how are the replacement shells for the SP? I want to swap my dinged up old shell out for one of those cool see-through colored ones that come with a whole kit, but I'm worried that the quality will be shit and it won't feel the same.

add sonic advance 1 and 2

sonic advance 1 is good
sonic advance 2 is faster, but do not attempt to get the chaos emeralds
sonic advance 3 is just designed poorly

lmao the screen alone usually goes for 60 bucks.
This is my GBA. Modded screen, rechargeable battery with micro USB board, and aluminum shell.
It's fucking lit my guy.

Attached: IMG_20190522_083224.jpg (2304x1296, 623K)

>summon night 1&2

my fucking nigger. Absolute must plays. Love these games. DS one does retarded stylus shit that pisses me off.

Attached: download.jpg (1000x667, 58K)

The see through shells are honestly on par with OEM. Very great texture, and no gaps.

Attached: JPEG_20190613_152310.jpg (1296x2304, 467K)

I had Sonic Advance 3 as a lad, so when I've tried to get back into it, that's the one I pick.
I'll take your advice.,

>It's fucking lit my guy.

Stop, just stop

and still a virgin

have non-platonic relations

>sausage fingers

the physics are fine, its just that the level design runs you into death 24/7 and certain team combinations are intentionally bad for no fucking reason
you can play whoever you want for just playin the fuckin game, but if you want super sonic, you have to spend hours combing the levels for chao with knuckles and tails
it would be fine if it wasn't on gameboy and we could see our surroundings more. You either gotta draw out every spot you can see on paper or youtube it.
did I mention that spikes and crushers are carelessly placed everywhere right from the first level?

Well I have a date tonight.

>no pokemons
fuck you retard

Summon night 1 and 2, very important

Metal Slug Advance is pretty good too, not sure why it's so underrated.

Chain of Memories

>pokemons
shit games for shit kiddies

Dragon ball advanced adventure
Legacy of goku 2 & 3
Everyone's taken all the easy ones

Add Kurukuru Kururin

Advance guardian heroes always gets shafted on these
It was a pretty solid beat em up

They call it pokemon prism because everyone who plays it is on the spectrum

Ham ham heartbreak

Gave me a good chuckle. It's actually pretty decent. More challenging than the stuff GameFreak has been putting out for the last decade.

Super Robot Taisen OG 1-2 and Summon Night Swordcraft Story 1-2

Heh.
Only Pokemon hack I've ever considered trying is that one that makes gen 2 completely open world (Crystal Clear, I think). Is it actually good?

None of the Castlevania games listed are ports.

>Battle Network 6 not on the list

Attached: 1559854752896.jpg (640x427, 58K)

>fag gets BTFO by Costanza posting Oldfriend

Based.

>Astro boy
By far the biggest hidden gem, played it so many times as a kid, nothing but comfy

>nobody mentioned Mario Tennis and/or Mario Golf
What is wrong with y'all? Also here's the GBA I got for my birthday for 80 bucks. Money well spent

Attached: gba ags 101.jpg (1280x868, 212K)

Haven't played it yet. I'm waiting on some materials to make another flashcart so I can play it on the gameboy. From what I've heard is that it is very fun. There's actually a speedrun of that game. I think it was AGDQ earlier this year.
