I REALLY don't like the perspective, In ror1 you could see everything going on, your play avatar was a tiny sprite in the center of the screen and you could see all the enemies on various platforms shooting rockets at you and stupid jellyfish flying towards you. In ror2 you have to look at what you're shooting at and your avatar and your gui elements take up a much larger portion of the screen, there's tons of shit you can't see when you're backpedaling while shooting I would have greatly preferred it if the translation to 3d was as a top-down shooter, rather than a 3rd person shooter, 3ps really doesn't suit risk of rain

Was really hyped but the slow updates the lack of bandit diminished my excitement. Also not a fan of the new character but that's subjective.
It's pretty cool but after 50 hours I feel that I don't want to do runs anymore because they lack a good closure. I want a final boss fight and roadmap states final boss fight to be in the final update about a year from now. Would try to unlock everything in June update once it drops.

See They already submitted the update before the interview. They can't give a release date when it's not even in their hands right now.
I liked it, but like most people who enjoyed it, I'm burned out after playing it for like a week straight. I think I'll wait for a couple more updates to check it out again but I'm glad Hopoo is successful with this one.
Try to get some AoE like gasoline before you hit the first portal. Commando really sucks with crowds, so gasoline early on is better than attack speed or sticky. Use R often early on to one shot or severely damage normal enemies, later to stun dangerous enemies like elite golems. M1 has serious fall-off at the distance, so get close and personal to deal damage.

Map looks cool. I don't mind Rex's design too much, I think it'll be neat to have a quadruped survivor. His abilities also look pretty cool. Can't wait to utilize the healing and self-damage.

I stopped myself after 30 hours because I don't want to burn out on the game before it's complete. Can't wait for the new update though. The new character looks interesting, and I like that he's new instead of just copy and pasting things from the original game.
I think he looks alright. I've never seen a Plant/Machine hybrid before so maybe it's just something to get used to. I like his new mechanic.
So there's only 2 slots left right? I thought we'd get the Bandit next because he's finished but I guess not. So we may not see half the OG characters til later.
