The armoured variants added in SB haven't been around nearly as long and they are harder to get because they only progress with current content. Tanks are already a minority of the population, and you basically have to be running stuff as tank every day to get the mounts.

If WHM's personal dps is buffed so much it is able to match the raid dps provided by other healers in 8 man content, it leaves SCH and AST in an extremely unfavorable in other content, mostly solo and 4 man where it would take a lot less time to complete as a WHM. Now you could say that this kind of content doesn't matter but people still have to go through it regardless of what they want to do at max level and most people would find it unenjoyable to struggle going thought that content when they see another job but with the same role can just blaze through it.
