your mom is a nutshell.

While what the image points out is right, there's also nothing wrong with simple escapism either.

cope

>trans-
Stopped reading there.

>corporations make lots of addictive products and I fall for it like a fucking idiot
>IT'S CAPITALISM'S FAULT!
I never understood this.

You could replace all that crap at the top with just
>WOW! COOL COMMUNISM!

>CDPR fanbase are reddit basedboys
no shit, imagine anyone else chimping out about some hollywood actor getting shoehorned into the game and calling a game that isn't even out a "masterpiece"

you have science fiction for that. cyberpunk is first and foremost a political criticism.

>We should improve society somewhat
Okay.
>Unrestrained capitalism leads to destruction
Yep. Regulation is important.
>We should probably stop out hedonistic expansion before it destroys the planet.
Will never happen unless you're ready and willing to kill 4 billion people. The Chinese want an American standard of living. Indians want an American standard of living. Africa wants an American standard of living. Tell them to stop.

Should having a weak will be considered a disability?
Should primary school have a class where they learn to resist psychological manipulation?

>retarded plebs pump all their money into the latest inane bullshit fad pushed by corporations
>somehow capitalism itself is at fault for this

Attached: cyberpunk man.png (308x571, 388K)

Everyone deserves an American standard of living user. You being born in a 1st world country was pure luck, you shouldn't look down on what couldve easily been you

Attached: 1548229851698.jpg (1440x1080, 87K)

transhumanism is basically just taking an engineer's approach to the human body, user

ie "gonna go get my eyes replaced with LAZER EYES that can also see in infrared"

or "lemme get my dna modified so I have a perfect metabolism so I'm always supermodel thin and/or ripped"

>Transporting illegal goods is fun

But you were always going to be you. Otherwise you'd be someone else.

>American standard of living
(((you))) chose a bad example

>Should having a weak will be considered a disability?
So people can just say "I have a weak will!" and get free money? No thanks.
Plus it's not a disability if you can fix it.

No communist retard believe the shit they spout

The whole shit is just having faith in some arbitrary communist agenda so that someday the very same consumerist capitalism they love will be decentralized and better for them

op pwned

It's more of a setting than a genre. It's high tech, low life and obligatory body modifications.
You can make a cyberpunk version of Pulp Fiction and it would have none of that we -should-gun bullshit.

Retro future is where true aesthetic lives

Attached: 1514764724976.jpg (1488x1600, 327K)

Maybe they should have made one considering ever other country was around centuries before America? You look at how some societies are still today and tell me why they deserve anything

from what I see, weak-willed braindead people are FUBAR, no amount of effort from either side can help them.

Reminder that cyberpunk is a fascist genre
>but user all the original authors were leftist
Well leftism is fucking dead, it became neoliberalism, and the only extant political theory where cyberpunk makes any sense is fascism

If you want to prove me wrong, explain how cyberpunk is a dystopia to a liberal

>Everyone deserves an American standard of living user.
America is 400M people at best. Many claim that the West destroyed the world and pillages it of resources. They claim that we're responsible for global warming.

You're advocating for 4,000,000,000+ people to live in a way that the world can't even support 1,000,000,000 living. Every species of animal on this planet will be wiped out. Every forest clearcut. Every river poisoned beyond any capacity to recover. And the Earth will become inhospitable to any life as we know it. The End.

All those topics are done well in other genres or common knowledge

Stfu with your idealistic nonsense Char

epically destroyed

mind if I screenshot your post to share on r/Yea Forums? its fine if you say no!

Since we are fucked in long-term, we can at least leave a message for next round of sentient beings that evolve after we are all long gone.
Message should be basically a mountiain-sized monument that says "Beware the jews", so that next evolution at least has a chance of establishing a functional society before they are tricked by jews into fucking themselves out of existance.

>ancap and unlimited degeneracy is bad

You people do realize this is a double edged sword right? There's no laws holding you back. You can have RL cunny, pay for anime robots, traps, w/e. You can force game devs to cut the nonsense or you'll target their family. You can kill that user who called you a faggot. Provided you have the money, theres nothing holding you back

>american standard of living

No thanks, I'll take actual first world any day.

What other genres carry those messages?
>common knowledge
Maybe in civilised world
Third world countries like USA are actively trying to keep that out of common knowledge

Thank fuck cyber punk will try to be mainstream again. Grttinb reall tired of reading snow crash and neuromancer on repeat then listen to the audiobook versions.

If this game flops or blows, it's still a win for me.

So a hundred Jews can do whatever they want to the rest of us?
Cool world faggot

You can do whatever you want to the jew too.

Yeah lemme just concentrate and GENERATE SOME WILL.

>actual first world
Does any country actually have this anymore for the majority of the population? What are the criteria?

Attached: 1557813944504.gif (331x331, 409K)

You don't actually have to kill anyone. People die out on their own you know? All it takes is a reasonable reproduction limit. Which if you break makes you essentially a savage criminal and you should be treated as such.

Yeah, and then his mcpolice turn me into a servitor for his kid. No thanks dude, cyberpunk is a fun setting but it's not desirable

Sounds like an NAP violation.

No user, power will hold you back. Just like right now there is no definite rules, power upholds arbitrary laws. You can kill that user right now, unless your very own limitations hold you back. Anarchy won't give you the power fantasy you seek.

Attached: IMG_20190615_045542.jpg (2048x1397, 418K)

Literally impossible without sci-fi tier replicator bullshit.

Great. Attempt to implement those controls in China, India, Africa, etc. Enjoy the war that starts.

wow i guess we really do live in a society. good thing i get all my biting social commentary from video games unlike all these others plebs.

>Enjoy the war
More like massive black/grey market for workarounds. Most people aren't going to go risk dying or mutilation if it can be at all avoided.

I'm pretty sure even America can agree with too much x is bad.

Pretty much every African nation barely has its shit together and India redefines incompetence, so the only one that is a real threat is CHYNA.

maybe he should aim better

Anyone claiming that unrestrained capitalism leads to destruction have no idea what they're talking about, most modern problems are caused by regulations and laws that discourage free market and letting the consumer decide. US healthcare have been good for example and it was first when the US Government began implementing regulations and laws that it became the fuckery it is today.

And that's not only in US, even "Socialist" (even though they aren't) countries like Sweden and Canada have problems thanks to laws and regulations in combination of it being free leading to long and increased waiting times. That said, there's sensible laws and regulations you can do, mainly to make sure that monopolies do not happen.

In a truly free market, you almost always get the best outcome in the end, simply because of the nature of free market.

Also, Cyperpunk isn't necessarily criticism to begin with you retard, it's based on people that made the logic conclusion that Japanand, in some cases China, becoming leading tech and economic powers due to Japan being on the forefront back in the 80's. A future where technology link the world together. It is however often used to criticise divides within race, politics and whatnot.

Based

>everyone deserves
Two issues in your sentence. The very notion of deserving something (as in taking for granted) and "everyone". Your very existence is a threat to countless living beings and somehow you expect human societies to overcome that basic fact of nature just because???
Nobody is born equal and the world is unbalanced. As of now, nothing is able to change that rule so you'd better drop those naive and childish notions of equality or everyone deserving his part of the cake because it's factually IMPOSSIBLE for everyone to have the same level of satisfaction. It's also why socialism and communism cannot be applied as systems because bringing everyone down doesn't work

the "american standard of living" is literally unsustainable in the long term even in the west.

Yet they happily crank many aspects of their life into the "way too much" territory.
>eat too much unhealthy food
>watch too much television
>burn too much gas
>care about profits way too much
So even your oversimplified low-bar example is too high for burgers.

Name one (1) leftist country that isn't a Cold War holdout like Cuba or the DPRK

>In a truly free market, you almost always get the best outcome in the end, simply because of the nature of free market.

Yeah, no.

I don't have to be affected directly to judge something. Take addictions for example. I don't want my family, friends or neighbors to succumb to gacha, drugs or gambling. It'll just ruin them. Hell, I wish no one were addicted, cause they still have rights like voting.
I still respect the right of others to kinda do what they want, but I also want gacha and lootboxes to be regulated like gambling.

I just like the aesthetics, I couldn't care less about the rest

Attached: shrugging hobo.jpg (500x715, 103K)

Somewhat ironically, swiss-cheese-brained user should not be able to understand the swiss-cheese analogy, making your insult somewhat ineffective.

>We should improve society somewhat
You don't say?

Real talk: how the fuck is Anarcho-Communism supposed to work?

Attached: a1a3d291f2b5790b780d687904a1373cd140d2bf_1.jpg (537x404, 55K)

Good boy, don't ask questions, just consume.

Why not? In a free market, the consumer decides, businesses fall if they do not provide enough quality, a good enough price or both to satisfy the customer because they can simply choose a different business to purchase from. Tricking and cheating costumers only work temporarily at best before failing and falling.

So tell me how I'm wrong. Most of the problems today stems not fromfree market capitalism, but rather capitalism in combination with regulations and laws that have allowed monopolies to form instead of actually discouraging as it should.

Attached: cat2.png (502x1030, 130K)

It's not.

>>nature of the market
>humas make rational decisions

we all deserve to be microwaved by the sun
and we are on a good path to achieve this

I'm right and you know it. Succdems care more about gay shit than helping the worker, tankies don't fucking exist because they became fascists, anarchists were always liberals anyway, etc.

The old Left is fucking dead, courtesy of '68. Sorry.

So It's a meme ideology like Anarcho-Capitalism?

How does looking at cool pictures makes you a mindless sheep?

>we all deserve to be microwaved by the sun
>and we are on a good path to achieve this
But there's no proof of that. Global warming exist but it's not the imminent threat you've been brainwashed to believe it is. There's not a single scientist that says that we'll die from Global warming within a few decades. At "Worst", we're talking hundreds of yearss before we're fried and that's assuming that we magically stand still technologically without improving.

If you care about nature and Global warming, promote nuclear power plants and ask retards that claim to want to protect nature and prevent Global warming why they are not doing the same. It's always the quickest way to tell if a politician or any famous person is for preserving nature or not. Anyone not pushing for nuclear powered electricity are just virtue signalling and only wanting to use Global warming as an excuse to raise taxes.

>Transhumanism should be approached with caution.
Haha, nah.

Humans suck. There's too many of them and there's too much baggage attached to them. The sooner we're all wiped out and replaced with genetically modified cyborgs, the sooner life can escape this hellhole of a gravity well.

Fuck humanity. Fuck human beings.

Cyberpunk is just another mass consumerist hype like all previous garbage titles that got hyped up with only exception being GTA V

Many thanks

Attached: secksual spy.jpg (1024x576, 56K)

It looks cold.

>the consumer decides
first mistake was believing the consumer makes the rational choice, not to mention when monopolies form choice is not even an option anymore (as well as other form of manipulation like advertising and fraud). second mistake was believing quality and profit is directly connected instead of quality just being a stepping stone to profit. when profit is compromised and quality is deemed a necessary sacrifice, it will be made in 100% of cases. one of the most recent examples being the boeing planes that crashed

Lol

Transhumanism and futurism collapsed into a miserable Christian circlejerk with Singularity as a stand-in for the Rapture.

Not gonna happen in our lifetime so I suggest you kys for everyone's sake

u mad bro?

>I suggest you kys for everyone's sake
That's retarded. Why would I do that?

That's exactly how it works so I don't see your point.

Those "cool pictures" carry meanings to them, user. Without applying some critical thinking, those meanings can lead to very dark places.

In other words, as cool as cyberpunk looks, you need to be aware that to live in such a world would be very difficult for the vast majority of people.

OH WOW LOOK AT ME I'M SOOOOO DEEP! UNLIKE THOSE SHEEPLE WHO JUST WANT TO SEE COOL STUFF!
kys unironically

Attached: h82oatkfdlq01.jpg (480x590, 48K)

That falls apart due to one simple thing: Corruption. Any system is inherently broken due to corruption. When you have whatever it is people desire or need, you have the ability to leverage it for better turnouts for yourself. This will inevitably create what we have now. Perfection does not exist and any system developed will eventually be exploited by those looking to exploit or twist it for their own gain.

>Will never happen unless you're ready and willing to kill 4 billion people.
I'm cool with that.

>all the fuckery of opinion in this thread
cyberpunk is just a fantasy platform ffs, with great aesthetics. the political narrative relative to cyberpunk could be LITERALLY fucking anything the writer wants it to be.

if the writer is a socialist liberal cunt, we all get something to laugh at

if the writer is a sell out to the human race and secretly wants to be robot...we get to feel pity for that poor son of a bitch

if the writer is pushing high morality and a proper rational, we can subtly nod our head in approval

Attached: 98789789709780970.png (500x500, 326K)

>People of the future are responsible for the people of the past
>The 60 year old country of China and all the post-imperial African states are older than the 243 year old United States of America

put me in the screenshot

Clearly you are unhappy living as a human and being bound to humanity. And since your desired future won't happen while you live what's the point? If you keep on keeping on you just prolong your own suffering while bothering rest of us with stupid posts. Kill yourself my dude!

Cringe, cyberpunk is just another sf genre/aesthetic

yes but sometimes the writer is a hack that wants to profit of a popular, very politically charged sub-genre without himself having any ideology or real opinion worth exploring through that lens

You do realise even your bare necessities are covered by corporations too, don't you? See what happens when you don't pay your power and water bills. If society gets to the point where even government services like police, firefighters and ambulances are privatised, we're all bloody done for.

ah yes I hate the transatlantic/transpacific fiber cables for bringing us together

Sure, you'd always be you. But what makes you so certain you'd be born in New York instead of Somalia?

You seem to misunderstand, my dimwitted friend.
I'm a biotechnologist. I'm very happy doing what I do, because I see it as achieving my long-term dreams and goals. And I make money while doing it.

How am I going to foster the future that I want if I'm dead?

Attached: elmo explosion.jpg (499x281, 25K)

So Cyberpunk as an entire genre is laughable as it's all anti-neo liberalism?

The entire world population can fit in California with the density of population of New York City

Attached: u wot.jpg (300x168, 9K)

The Nordic countries are a good start. Strong economies AND socialised healthcare, something that flies in the face of libertrarian 'common sense'.

____ ________
OH YEAH

Attached: timeline_1444325339_00032.jpg (612x344, 52K)

it could be, but you're a fucking retard if you think you can get away with ignoring the history and context of the genre

>bringing us together
we got a starbucks clown there.

>The 60 year old country of China
stop

>China has had a Marxist government for thousands of years

All you need to worry about is the gangs of Somali refugees with SMGs and frag grenades on Vespas.

My life has purpose, user.
Can you say the same?

China as a nation has existed far longer than the PRC you mong

You're a biotechnologist and you think transhumanism should not be approached with caution? Are you a mad scientist breaking the rules and regulations, going to whatever means to achieve progress in whatever the hell you do at the moment? And where do you think we find the imaginary greener pastures than what we got in this "hellhole of a gravity well"?

>first mistake was believing the consumer makes the rational choice
I don't, I assume people make the most obvious choice, I.E cheapest or what they like the most. In a free market there's always competition which inevitably leads to either prices going down, quality going up or both in order to compete in the long run.

> when monopolies form choice is not even an option anymore
Hence why there at the very least should be regulations that prevent monopolies, which currently has failed in the real world due to nepotism and corruption within governments rather than at any fault of consumers and the market itself.
>second mistake was believing quality and profit
I don't.

>when profit is compromised and quality is deemed a necessary sacrifice

Which mainly happens when there's lack of competition or, which is honestly more common today, the fact that people choose cheaper goods over over quality. Both exist, people just tend to choose cheaper, which is a perfectly fine choice in itself and quality still nets enough profit in most cases to warrant its continued existence so not really seeing that much of a problem in this case.

>one of the most recent examples being the boeing planes that crashed
Are you saying there's not other companies that produce better and safer planes?

I mean, I'm relying on the flaws of humanity for the free market to succeed to begin with. If humanity was perfect, we'd not need money to begin with and we'd live in the socialist paradises that communists dream about but are impossible in reality.

Free market can work precisely because of human flaws, corruption can however hinder it in form of Government corruption yes. Free market isn't a perfect solution but that's simply reality. There is never going to be a perfect solution and we're always going to need to experiment and discuss on what works or doesn't work best, both left and right, be it social security, market or anything else.

That is a fucking atrocious dystopian hellhole.

Dis nigga know he shit.

Yeah, so I can't enjoy the Empire in Star wars too because they are space fascists? Miss me with that gay shit

>$CURRENTYEAR China

this

Capitalism isn't bad, Jewish corporations are

Because California wasn't bad enough as it is?

American standard of living™ indeed

>it being marxist makes it a different country

even hospital bills still exist in a public system to prevent people from abusing those, but this does make me wonder why utilities are privatized

America has a far less dense population then the rest of the west, you fucking moron.

Current state of Sweden, Netherlands government falling due to budget and the refusal to put in place austerity measures and the Icelandic banking crisis shows the cracks in the nordic model.

The "libertarian" common sense is still accurate, the socialist honeymoon phase is over in these countries. As Thatcher correctly put it:

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

Your final point misses that the largest source of pollution isn't people consuming goods. It's companies, most of whom are selling largely to an American consumer base.

But you're right. The American standard of living is unsustainable. Which is why it MUST be abolished, globally. And that MUST start in West.

No, this is the cyberpunk fanbase in a nutshell.
>Help! We're in a nutshell! How did we get into this nutshell? Look at the size of this bloody great big nutshell. What sort of shell has a nut like this? This is crazy.

>Are you a mad scientist breaking the rules and regulations
Of course not. But I firmly believe many of those roles are actively inhibiting us. We should have been working on modifying germlines in humans years ago, but China is rapidly pulling ahead.

>And where do you think we find the imaginary greener pastures than what we got in this "hellhole of a gravity well"?
The answer to that is more complicated and nuanced than I think you're prepared. But the long and short of it is that with virtual technology, it can be wherever we want it so long as it's made sustainable.

Society is organized into a moneyless communes of equals who are free to come and go.

>the refusal to put in place austerity measures
Because austerity measures have a terrible track record in actually fixing problems. All historic data regarding austerity indicates that it tends to exacerbate the problems of a crisis, not solve them.

But then again, you think Thatcher was someone who's worth listening to after she drove England into a fucking ditch.

while you are right, I agree with you with a great sadness
Video games are exillent interactive medium that cam be used to not only spread the message but also demonstrate the consequences of listening to or ignoring said message.
Video games could be used to present so many real-world issues to people in a very interesting way, show them what the consequence of being a shithead is in the long-term.
But if msot people are deaf in their head, then there is not much point of doing that.

Read Marx, Bakunin, and Goldman. What they all described as the end goal is anarcho-communism. The latter two rightfully predicted what would happen it was attempted through a socialist state as Marx called for.

Attached: bakunintoldyoubro.jpg (680x884, 94K)

Oh and I forgot to add my own country of Australia, which isn't scandinavian but is typically included as our economic model is similar.

We're currently on the verge of recession, with house prices plummetting, interest rates are the lowest they've ever been with more cuts on the horizon and thanks to our previous Labor government, up to our eyeballs in debt and in a liquidity trap.

And let's not forget Venezuela, who before Chavez took over had a great economy.

sounds good. let's do it faggots. time to destroy earth.

They aren't entitled to it. They have to improve their country on their own and stop begging for stuff.

as if that'll work. we were told to beware of demons and we still fell right into their machinations. they just changed their name to jews.

>American standard of living
Sorry, I don't want a downgrade, 3rd worlder.

gog says release date is "SOON".

the fuck does that mean

Shut up tranny

you realize the point of competition is to compete until there is a single winning entity? if you have anti-monopoly regulations then its clearly not a truly free market anymore. as long as corporations are purely profit driven a free market cannot work and competition is a farce and if you impose regulations its not a free market. you're just a socdem in denial

Attached: DzRlHrnUYAAnenJ.jpg (500x808, 32K)

And? I admit that it's potentially needed, call me socdem all you like. I like solutions and making things work, I care less about political sides.

I don't see the problem with this? Only thing I would like to point out that 80s-90s golden age of cyberpunk could be classified, by todays standards as retro-futurism.

Attached: 1555132355726.gif (360x360, 3.92M)

china already had that law. it was called one child policy and it didn't start any war.

all you need is a sufficiently strong government to suppress the niggers. give out birth control pills and sterilization like candy, so they can still fuck, just not have kids. problem solved. all they want is sex, not kids. they won't give a shit as long as they can chase pussy. no responsibilities afterwards will just be a bonus.

Firefighters were originally owned by insurance companies and if you didn't have insurance they would literally not come to your house.

Most modern communists don't actually believe in what they talk about either, since they understand if their policies were implemented their rich and comfortable lives would be destroyed. After Prague and the end of most western communist parties as a result, it has always just been about feeling morally superior and winding up right-wing people. The world of brutal Russian serfdom, children getting scalped in factories, the US government hiring thugs to murder protesting workers and men being forced to die in foreign wars for the aristocracy when Marx wrote the manifesto is gone.

Attached: islep.jpg (311x260, 35K)

>Transhumanism actually isnt all its cracked up to be

name one (1) piece of cyberpunk fiction where this is a theme

>Because austerity measures have a terrible track record in actually fixing problems

No, it's just unpopular because people don't like it when you take away their free stuff. At a certain point if existing obligations exceed tax revenue and all the measures you've been using to keep prolonging the inevitable, like QE and interest rate cuts dry up; you are forced to take austerity measures. Unless of course you go the "Helicopter money" route and spiral into hyperinflation like Zimbabwe and Venezuela or Wiemar Republic before them.

the implication of statements is that we have enough resources to provide an okay existence for everyone, and even more

the problem is that there's fuckers who will buy a $1000 pizza with gold and shit on it, then throw most of it in the fucking garbage because whoops turns out a $1000 pizza isn't much tastier than a $20 (plus tip) one

there are buildings that are built and maintained only for them to be actively used/lived in maybe one week out of the year

shit like that is what we need to curtail, not people having reasonably enjoyable lives

Real life futas would be great. But sadly it won't happen in my lifetime.

forget high quality augs, upkeep and repairs. neuropozyne. a very expensive tightly controlled drug required to be able to live with augs, without which the body rejects augs like it would reject organ transplants and you die.

>the consumer decides
>Comcast sucks, I'll change my ISP, so what if they're the only provider around, the infrastructure is all theirs, and the local council has been bought off?

This. OP image exaggerates the fact that player does not adopt the ideology and treats the game as what it is. Just a videogame.

>china already had that law. it was called one child policy and it didn't start any war.
And they had to stop it because their society is now collapsing due to being topheavy. The most likely outcome is they start herding Africans onto cargo ships and turn them into castrated, lobotomized slaves.

most of the pollution and fucking up of the planet is being done by corporations, but okay retard

Then just admit you don't really believe that truly 'free' markets can exist. Hell, they never did to begin with.

no reddit is poopy

None of them look like my hentai dickgirls.

>metabolism makes you ripped
this is what fat, unresponsible retards think

Do you think I play games to think about politics and society? Fuck no, if I wanted to do that I could just read a book. Games are for fun and escapism, not for deep we live in a society political thonking.

>Commies fuck up and cover half the planet in radiation because they're too dumb to run a nuclear reactor
>"Most of the pollution and fucking up of the planet is being done by corporations"

also known as homosexuals or generally degenerates

Then that's proof that all of society suffers when necessary services are privatised. Even ancient societies like Rome had volunteer firefighters that helped people regardless of whether they got a tip.

Why are the nipples hard?

How does it feel to know even the fossil-fuel industry is beginning to own up to their mistakes after suppressing research for decades?

It's one of the roles of a federal government. To step in a prevent local corruption and trust bust to stop monopolies.

Other than that, it seems like a good business opportunity.

It's a medical condition fucktard.

I don't want lootboxes because they make it so the devs can make a worse game and make more money.

media always says something, user
it doesn't have to be deeply complex but it has to say something

>unrestrained capitalism is bad
This ignores all the cyberpunk settings that use an authoritarian government, or those that conscript corporations to be PMC security forces. It's like complaining about about private prisons and lockup quotas when both exist so an out of control government gets its money's worth. Like, they're half on-point with the other pieces with how cyberpunk approaches complacency and rapid, unrestrained, and poorly directed progress, but then they blow it by lifting phrases directly from rags like The Nib

and since america's losing its global influence and europe is a fucking joke, there's no more global moral police to stop them. china will grow larger.

>See what happens when you don't pay your power and water bills
So I won't stop paying them. what's the problem? Are you saying I should get electricity and water for free?

Sounds like Burgerland being Burgeland to me

It can say something, but OP's pic directly attacks anyone who doesn't care about the politics and just wants to play a cool game.

that's why I enjoy older cyberpunk/sci-fi novels, they feel retro futuristic at the same time, not for no reason of course

I have a feeling that shit will hit the fan at some point and the planet's carrying capacity will plummet to depths never before seen at such a magnitude in history followed by a long and arduous dark age that we may never recover from until we all go extinct unless by some miracle we manage to figure this mess out.

Production of goods will crash, famine will follow, subsequently all the antibiotics we have been pumping into everything haphazardly will come to bite us in the ass so hard when all manner of super-bacteria we have been breeding start breaking out exacerbated by population density, sanitary decline, malnourishment, and a low supply of suitable antibiotics.
There would be a great deal of internal strife and conflict accelerating the process and with access to weapons of mass destruction (Chemical and Biological) leadership would certainly be tempted to ease the burden by reducing the headcount regardless whether it is that of friend or foe.

People like to consume media to be entertained, not preached to.

News at 11.

Cyberpunk is a genre of fiction. Whether or not the author chooses to make it political in nature doesn't determine whether it's cyberpunk or not.

This. The intention of OP's image is so clearly to indulge an leftist ideology that it's funny.

It's not the statement "CAPITALISM BAD" that I necessarily have a problem with.

It's the shit those people think capitalism should be replaced with that I have a problem with.

Just don't be a punk and enjoy all the benefits of a cyber world without being a shitstain on the fringe of society.

So fucking what?
90% of fiction has some political message, and 90% of readers won't care or won't get them.

Any country that allowed belt and road policy will experience cyberpunk as described in 80s novels. In the novels, they usually use the japanese as encompassing global power, because of the bubble economy at the time. It makes sense for them at the time.

Looking at Chinese economic and territory power now, I'm sure its China that will actualize the installation of Chinese corporations into foreign governments.

What should capitalism be replaced with, then?

>"Capitalism bad!"
>"We have to stop this!"

Cringe central. "Cyberpunk", or whatever dystopian vision akin to it is inevitable. Capitalism's creative destruction ensures the dehumanization and deterritorialization of each and every man-made system; Part of the reason why the left, let alone the traditional right, has never been able to produce an answer to defeat unrestrained Capital. Our governments and political bodies can only force edicts that either conform the people to this system, or fail (yet everyone questions why the neoliberal order was able to strangle out its 2 other competitors). You're all fucked you humanist fags.

When multinational corporations grossly exploit workers and consumers and cannot be stopped because they gave gained some measure of control over basic market forces, the world becomes a dystopian hellscape.
In our society and history alone it's evident that, when you do not rein in corporate greed they will pull all kinds of ridiculous bullshit. Contrary to what extreme libertarians may believe, regulations typically exist for a reason that isn't "big brother gubby wants your money". Just look at the american midwest to see what happens when corporations find loopholes in workplace safety regulations. If there wasn't anybody to tell them to fuck off sometimes, every aspect of every industry would be exploitative and anti-consumer yet also incredibly financially lucrative.

tl;dr Nobody likes getting jewed and at some point you realize it's better to just blame the bastards doing all the jewing.

Workers in factories in China have probably contributed more to Western society than you, you smelly NEET.

I'm so tired of all this post modern bullshit, everyday there is some new, played out take where someone just projects a bunch of their politics onto a work. It's as if a whole generation of people haven't realised that just because you can ad hoc post rationalise a bunch of viewpoints doesn't mean you're correct. Yet projecting is seen as deep and a deflection from the reality that you're just hedonistically indulging in a bunch of consumer culture "no don't you get it, it's actually deep" eh. Anyone can do this, it takes no effort and yet there is an endless parade of people trying to out project each other to the top of the shitheap.

Jokes and stereotypes aren’t an argument

Depends on what position you're coming from broski. Every work pushes a metapolitical narrative, if not an outright political narrative. If you're all about muh liberal democracy you may not see a difference, but it's there. Even aesthetics can be political.

Beautiful.

That assumes everyone can buy a good. If it's superfluous shit like videogames or sports cars that's a not problem, but it is when it comes to healthcare

moneyless commune can kinda work through trade, but the "equals" part is a big problem. humans are not equal, never were, never will be. some work hard, some are lazy. some are superior, some are inferior, then there are women who overwhelmingly go into the inferior part, wanting to be taken care of and provided for, making men do all the work and then taking credit.

how do you make those equal? you can't uplift a pig to a human, but you can beat a human down until he's with the pigs. any society that relies on equality will end up becoming an africa tier shithole where everyone starves and jealousy, hatred and envy rule over the mob, destroying anyone who wants a better life than one of a pig.

this is nature. this is humanity.

Humans aren't any different than any other organism. Without any selective pressures, they can and WILL reproduce faster than the environment to sustain them.
Artificial selection needs to be implemented to prevent disasters, and while Capitilism sucks for providing too much to people who earn more than they work for, the worst option is to reward people for simply existing.

The company who makes those robot limbs, the implant chips, the cybernetic organs, can you trust them? Can you REALLY trust a tech company enough to wire up their software to your brain and central nervous system?
What if there's no good alternative? What if you need a chip behind your right eye to be able to get a job but the only software you can buy to make the proprietary chip work is less than desirable? What would you do?

What if you got a mandatory software upgrade for your cochlear replacement device to continue functioning and it makes the thing automatically play advertisements from inside your ear. This is your only option if you want to hear anything, to be presented with unwanted and unannounced targeted advertisements once per hour while you're awake. You're not sure how it targets the advertisements, you worry it might listen in and log all sounds you hear before it presents them to your brain. What would you do, choose this life or choose to never hear again?

Not him, but I'm a slimmy that has a really wonky metabolism. Even if it wasn't wonky it's still not perfect. virtually every single aspect of commercial life is hyper-regulated. This gives govt power/income and gives large firms a comparative advantage in complying with regulatory costs over smaller competitors. Every shred of anti-capitalism pap you've ever been fed has been carefully-curated propaganda delivered to you in govt schools with the deliberate goal of turning you into a willing slave.

Yes but imagine how exponentially worse it could get as technology advances and corporations pull out their slimiest bullshit, and you have a framework for understanding exactly what "transhumanism needs to be approached with caution" actually means.

The distinction is that he isn't responsible if it's the companies fault so he doesn't need to introspect on his own consumption

why is it bad when the government skims a little of your money but its alright when your boss takes 99% of your labor value

But what he is saying did happen
Chernobyl was caused by communists
>Woah didn't know that japs and burgers are commies
Neither doused the world in radiation
On three mile island, nothing happened. The safety mechanisms worked as intended.

you can fairly well see a kind of nietzschean subtext in a lot of cyberpunk, so i didn't put it there just for fun. the new blade runner is very obvious about it. gosling basically dies happy because he finally did something that gave him purpose. other than that, a lot of other cyberpunk stories start off with "main character lives a meaningless life, but finds some great purpose to fight for, possibly dying for it" like matrix. i will admit it's more of a later cyberpunk thing, but there are small hints of it in older cyberpunk works too.

Are you just going to let him say that about your mom?

because govt will stop them. once again, the socialist blames markets for what govt does, because they're illiterate chimps

you are retarded

>"transhumanism needs to be approached with caution"
Well in that case we have already failed, so you might as well be screaming into the void desu

Mate, you just threw out a bunch of words I'm not even aware you know what mean. there's one thing companies care about, and that's profit. That doesn't always align with societal needs, and that's when regulation is needed. Hell, even the fucking government needs to regulate itself, and that's why the three powers are even a thing.

>we should improve society somewhat
If anything dystopian fantasy is proof humans desire the drive conflict gives.

This image is refuted by a dozen people every time it's posted.

Thinking what we have now is unrestrained capitalism might not make you a commie, but it sure as shit makes you as retarded as one.

I don't doubt you, what kind of deathbots are we talking about?

The employee exists in a system where he has no other option if he wants to work, whereas you can very easily stop paying taxes by just renouncing your citizenship and all the benefits therein and just going somewhere else.

refuted by what? retards saying its okay for your boss to exploit you and take your surplus labor value because its 'consensual'? whats so consensual about either working for slave wages or dying in the gutter

What do you mean by "Exploiting workers"?
The workers are choosing to work there. They can quit whenever they want. As multinational corporations have spread, poverty has declined. People are doing better off.

>Even ancient societies like Rome had volunteer firefighters that helped people regardless of whether they got a tip.

I take it you've never actually read a history of Republican Rome then? Otherwise, you'd have heard of Crassus' privatised firefighting brigades.

transhumanism is not transsexualism you retarded retard

We're already living in a world where everyone's a computer slave. A smartphone slave.
Would it really be that much worse?

That's easy when your refutation is "The government forces me to pay taxes but I enter into a mutual agreement for a situation in which I have no alternate option with my employer and that's not being forced to do anything by my retarded definition so gubberment bad"

It is pretty damned risky starting up a business and the capital doesn't come out of nowhere.
Employment with an already established business is less risky however the reward is lower.

>The employee exists in a system where he has no other option if he wants to work
The employee is pigeonholed, sure, but I can go around mowing lawns and hold on to 100% of the profits. It's not enough to support myself, and it's probably not legal, but it's possible. There are other avenues that are more profitable.
As for your statement about renouncing citizenship. At this point, especially in the US, you would be better off by just not being a citizen, financially and legally speaking.

yes more vapid elementary school tier propaganda. let me break it down for your stupid ass:

Every single tax and regulation has what effect on a business' income? It reduces it. You either pay a tax or pay to do some shit the govt tells you to do, like pay workers 15/hr or give them paid leave or whatever. When the govt steps in, it imposes a cost of complying with its regulations on the businesses it regulates. Make sense?

Now, who do you think has an advantage in that kind of business environment? The mom n pop? Or the giant multinational with billions in savings?

I feel like that was as explicit and lucid as you could ask for.

Why?
Ancaps did nothing wrong.
If you want something, you can buy it.
If you want to shop at sme worker run commune, you can.
If you don't want to, you don't have to.
It's free choice.

>no alternate option with my employer
literally in what universe does your umbilical-cord-ass exist in?

Yeah bro I don't want my slavers to be hooked up to my brain, it crushes even the last remnants of hope for things getting better in the future. Not cool at all.

Tell me where you object to this process
>Jeff Bezos creates company, starts by selling books out of his garage, he's raised by a single Mom, puts out a service people use and allows hundreds of thousands if not millions of people to have jobs that wouldn't otherwise exist
>People like it, it becomes popular
>Goes public, groups like Pensions, banks, private citizens, all want a piece of Amazon, there's a limited supply of stocks so they drive up the price and let all kinds of people get a little piece of something they consider to have a big future.
>Since Bezos owned the company he created, his shares are valuable and he is the richest man on Earth
The previous richest man, Bill Gates, only reached that point by making billions more in value. Through standardizing operating systems globally, he allowed Japanese developers to sell software to Americans, for Germans to collaborate with Italy and South Korea, and this standardization allowed many businesses to become more productive, and survive where they otherwise would have died.

Okay. So the Roman Empire reached the limits of what was possible by their communication methods, and it would be thousands of years until technology would allow them to exceed those limits. We have hit that limit, with the speed of light in communication.
The ability to produce goods and services are going up, not exactly hitting a wall in terms of production, and no such wall is visible, as people become more efficient when producing goods and services, and growth is always possible.
You can always get better at doing something.
Growth can just be doing things better or more efficiently.
If you deliver your products to the store using a self driving car, and so your delivery costs are down 20% and you're able to save a nickel on producing your product, that's growth.
If the truck your product is delivered on changes the pallets, so it is able to be unloaded 10% faster, and you end up saving half a penny on the price of your product, that's also growth.
And that has nothing to do with using more resources
Until we are all immortals living with matter replicators and dyson spheres there will be growth

>Thousands of new competitors spring up. Some sell some dont.
>Walmart has to play eternal whack a mole with new competitors.
>Either stops or runs out of money and dies.

The market regulates itself. Govt violence introduces chaos.

Please direct me to a company where I can work that will pay me the full value of the labor I produce. I'll allow you to expand your search to every successful company that has ever existed in a capitalist economy anywhere in the world.
I'll wait, faggot.

>I can go around mowing lawns and hold onto 100% of the profits
No you cannot, if you were paid the full value of your labor by whoever you were mowing the lawn of, you would be making an amount of money that they would consider "unreasonable" for your work, because it's still an employer employee relationship in a capitalist system where labor sold by workers is bought way below the equivalence point.
>it's not enough to support myself
Then it's not really an option now, is it?
If it doesn't actually work and is questionably legal then it's not so much a refutation as a completely irrelevant point.

That said capitalism is good and communism is garbage, just wanna make my stance on that clear. My point is just that it's retarded to call taxes theft when your employer is stealing most of the value you will ever produce.
You may say "but they provide you benefits and access to the means of production" and I will tell you that the system literally would not functioning if the full cost of your income + the benefits your receive was equal to the value created by your labor and so there is NECESSARILY a deficit there that you do not get to choose or negotiate. Besides, your taxes pay for every benefit you receive for being an American citizen, and you could theoretically (but unsustainably) opt out of taxes, they are entirely comparable.

>using something and being addicted to it are the same thing
Interesting strawman but it falls flat.

You won't have a choice if you want to surpass the flesh.

>dumb people suffer and smart people dont
Sounds to me like everything's right with the world.

Cringe

>I can work that will pay me the full value of the labor I produce.
The one you start yourself, bitch. You are benefiting from all of your employer's capital equipment that you had absolutely no role in producing in return for a wage. That wage, made possible by all the computers, distribution networks and facilities and shit, is WAY higher than what your retarded commie ass could produce on your own. You're a naive child with zero clue how the world works. It's not even your fault. You were brainwashed by govt schools to view private business as the enemy. Divide and conquer.

>runs out of money
This part doesn't happen
They just keep buying up smaller stores with their almost unending supply of money.
Your self regulation bullshit stops working when one company is almost a dozen orders of magnitude larger than every potential competitor and can afford to do everything others cannot and also pull some shady shit to make sure they can't.

>with their almost unending supply of money.
private business is not govt. it cannot tax. your entire worldview rests on false premises.

Okay smart guy, just don't complain when the middling IQ socialist gobblins rile up everyone to burn down the rotting carcass of your profoundly unequal society at everyone's expense. It'd be on you, for not using your profound intelligence to secure that flank, right?

At least you're honest with yourself

Where does it get the money from?

Now you're not even making sense.

Our government didn't fall...

>The ability to produce goods and services are going up, not exactly hitting a wall in terms of production, and no such wall is visible, as people become more efficient when producing goods and services, and growth is always possible.
Currently in the short term yes. I predict energy will be the bottleneck.
The way I see it is that in order to have sustainable production you require three types of resources: Manpower, Raw Materials, and Energy.
A lack of Raw materials and energy will definitely cause disruption.
Currently we heavily rely on sources of energy such as fossil fuels and radioactive materials which are being consumed at a rate which is far faster than they can be replenished.
Many raw materials can be converted back to their original form however energy is required to do so.
The "renewable" sources (wind, water, sun) all rely on the sun which can last far longer but currently don't scale well and require a considerable amount of energy, land, and resources to build and maintain.

what is communism? protip, it isnt when the state does things.

Transmetropolitan
Snow Crash

I'm saying that if you and people like you don't step up and offer a vision for a healthy society to the masses, other people will. Only that vision might prove to not be to your liking. Be it a communist regime or a socdem/neolib authoritarian hellworld, I assure you it will suck for all of us and it will suck really fucking bad.

There are waitting times because people can actually use them. There are no waitting times for private hospitals, but that cost money that not everybody can pay.

I was making a joke about whatever age the picture is depicting.

Ah yes, the business I start myself. The sustainable thing everybody can do.
With what money and ideas can I start that business though? In a system where not everybody can succeed, in fact only very few can succeed, it's not really an option for everybody to start their own business.
>benefiting from employer's capital and means of production
Sure, but if those benefits and the income to me made up for the value my employer is literally stealing from me, his business would not function. The mere fact that in a capitalist system you can negotiate your pay is evidence enough that instead of being paid what you labor is truly worth, your employer is trying to screw you out of as much of the money you create for him as he possibly can from the very beginning.
>commie
lol ancaps, everybody who doesn't suck your hasidic overlord's cocks is a communist now apparently

Good comeback, bro. Very cool.

You don't need to tax people to have a nearly unending supply of money like many multinational corporations.
Your entire world view is complete nonsense if you think that is the case.

People shopping at their stores? I don't understand your confusion.

That's ancap you moron.
Get an ancom picardia

>you and people like you
define that please

Of all the strains of anarchist thought and movements, I think we can all come together and laugh at retarded anarcho-primitivists

Okay. You're right on those fronts, what you're saying is logical.
The only thing I could think of, is many materials we could call today nuclear waste, very likely will be usable in the future, and we will discover new methods to deal with them.
In the same way frakking and shale were able to breath new life into petroleum.

Ancom is like communism except the secret police doesn't do paperwork and has 'militia' in its name.

The problem I have with this presupposition is that you can replace "healthy" with "idealistic"
An idealistic society is a utopia, one that cannot exist.
We don't live in a world of perfect states. Rather we live in a world of trade-offs.It is the measuring of trade-offs that makes sense when deciding what to do

HOLY F*CK
BASED BASED BASED

I don't know if you're wealthy or not, but it's clear that you're a right libertarian. Obviously right libertarians are most preoccupied with money, but I've at least seen acknowledgement for the idea of a healthy society amongst libertarians that doesn't see the light of day amongst progressive liberals. Libertarians just want a normal nation-state that works. I'm saying that's a good thing to want, but libertarianism isn't a good way to get there. It feeds into the same problems that create leftism.

In every system there is scarcity.
In government run healthcare, it's a bureaucrat who decides whether you live or die, because they decide your spot on the waiting list. Only through corruption can you get ahead on the waiting list.
In private market run healthcare, it's whether or not you can get the money that decides whether you live or die. You can avoid this by getting health insurance, but you can also appeal to your community. You can get ahead by providing goods or services to other people, and helping other people to get ahead.

>renouncing your citizenship and all the benefits therein and just going somewhere else.
good luck. every last piece of earth belongs to some entity. if you want to live there, you must become their citizen and start paying taxes first. your only choice is to hope for afterlife, kill yourself and go find your place in the afterlife. only to find that even in afterlife everything's owned because as above, so below. and then you kill yourself in the afterlife and go into that afterlife's afterlife, over and over until you wake up as cthulhu who was dreaming in his underwater temple of r'lyeh, and had a pretty bad nightmare.

To be fair that image applies to both ancap and ancom

You just owned him just like Sony will own Nintendo by the end of the year

>subtly nods head in approval
This is a parody post right

Do you think this world is realistically healthy? All the fucking progressive hysteria and constant identity politics? We live in a diseased society and have for a very long time. Ted Kaczynski was correct in saying that the industrial revolution was a momentous event, it basically changed human existence overnight and human society and biology is still coming apart at the seams because of it. A balance is needed and the only way to attain it is through a political reorganisation. I don't think leftism is the answer, but libertarianism is just a more inflammatory version of the status quo. It'll only lead us closer to leftism.

in that case though you're not surpassing the flesh. you're actually reducing yourself to a subhuman standard. you can't even do what humans can anymore because the chip inhibits your free will.

It’s missing, “Awareness of the Rothschilds”.

They won't be. A reactor process can be designed such that the waste it produces can be recycled and made usable, but the process needs to be designed specifically with that in mind and the technology required and costs required just flat out do not break even right now.
All the nuclear waste we have already produced will remain as waste.

The only real saving grace that might have a chance is nuclear fusion, but it's a roll of the dice whether or not we live in a world where fusion is economically viable to implement on a large enough scale. It might just be an inefficient or ineffective energy production system for the way human society is organized, and may end up nothing more than a research toy.

people like him are probably some nu age spiritualist cucks who believe in souls descending into bodies, thinking their consciousness and sense of self is some magical cosmic immortal thing, not a byproduct of their birth and growing process shaping their perception and self through observation and interaction with their surroundings.

Also, classes to teach resistance against interrogation

You are free to choose an entity that comes with benefits that you prefer for their given tax policy. You could always just purchase or discover your own uncharted island and build a house there; chances are if the mail system can't reach you then you probably don't have to worry about taxes being enforced or yourself breaking any laws.

Welcome to Hell.

That's why you rip them from their homes by nightfall and off with their heads as the sun rises and a new day dawns.

I don't know enough about nuclear reprocessing. I just know humanity has a long history of turning waste into something useful. France turned piss into gunpowder.
Cow manure fuels America's agriculture

This image made my dick shrink

You're assuming the chip is unbeatable and that it's mandatory for it to be a trap. The free market takes care of unwanted features.

>use l33t ninja skills to assassinate the rich
You live in a fantasy
If you can't planned something down to earth, you can't even overthrow a daycare

El ogro de las Américas...

Nuclear waste is an entirely different beast from biological waste. Like I said processes can be designed such that the waste can be repurposed, the issue is mostly just that we haven't really been doing that and so almost all of our current waste we're pretty much stuck with.
Some of it can probably be integrated into recyclable processes but it's not very efficient or productive and it's literally cheaper and easier to stick it in a hole in the ground and wait for 17,000 years.

assuming the market can even realize the trap's existence, especially in a proprietary hardware. the chip could have great upgrades and no apparent drawbacks, literal perfection that'll mesmerize nearly everyone. only a few years after mass dissemination it activates a dormant hidden piece of code that makes it force download an update that turns it into a shitshow, deus ex style.

you need to learn about the art of deception. you're too naive and trusting.

Okay. Let me put it another way.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_swan_theory
I was reading Nassim Taleb's books.
He discusses how high-profile, hard-to-predict, and rare events that are beyond the realm of normal expectations in history, science, finance, and technology are the ones that shape history.
Everything you know prior to 1914 was overturned rather quickly all at once, same with on September 10th, 2001, the rise of radical islam, and the precipitous fall of the soviet union.
Who could predict that two brothers who didn't finish highschool, who owned a bicycle repair shop in Dayton Ohio would be the first to have an airplane? Nobody.

Attached: william fichtner.jpg (314x301, 12K)

Reminder that communism/socialism will literally never be a thing.

You're the one who lives in a fantasy with this leet ninja shit you're pulling out of your ass. Here in America we have the right to bear arms. The rich don't have a personal army marching through their living room.
The expression leans more towards the side of the people than of the soon to be dead.

You're assuming the free market, which is a social construction of human origin, cannot be exploited by those with power just as with any other social construction of human origin.

don't forget bullets. guns are limited by bullets, which means any personal army will eventually run out. if they run out of bullets before you run out of npc meat shields, from then on it's a slaughter.

my mate showed me this and it's baffling
these are the kinds of people who hate cyberpunk ahahahah
tunnelsaints.tumblr.com/post/185591215997/
slimeonline.tumblr.com/post/185607369335

Now I see what you're saying, but I doubt things will degenerate like you think. And if it does happen that a shitty communist regime is created, people will soon realize how bad it is to live in it and rebel once again.
But as I said: NPCs are happy right now just consuming and spewing hatred on social networks. It's a much more stable situation than you might think.

If the chip is going to interfere with the hardware and even be invasive then it won't take long before the market sees it.
The chances of a single corpo being responsible for all implants is also ridiculously small, competition is wonderful.

It can't.

That's not how it works

>Who could predict that two brothers who didn't finish highschool, who owned a bicycle repair shop in Dayton Ohio would be the first to have an airplane?
If they wouldn't be the first somebody else would. It was a race to make the first working flying machine, not some sudden discovery.

All I'm saying is that the nature of the world we live in might be such that we are doomed without recourse. Expecting already generated nuclear waste to be the secret key to the next step of man isn't wrong to do, but the next step of man might not be the step forward that you want it to be.

>the free market can't be manipulated or controlled by anyone ever because I said so dude trust me
Ah so I see we have a genuine ancap here once again

I'm very pessimistic about future prospects and fear that this is just the start. Obviously the whiners won't do anything, but their whining will provide an opportunity for those who will. I think there's only a small window left to prevent either communism or a quasi-socialist cartel capitalist nightmare from establishing itself and that window is rapidly closing. The idea of rebellion is comforting, but it does not inspire much hope in me. The Warsaw Pact only fell because of liberal political reforms, the pre-Gorbachev political apparatus would've been able to last indefinitely through sheer political repression. If communism gains a foothold in the West, I don't think it'd fall the same way - if at all. Lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice.

just like the computer hardware of today, with every single piece of computer hardware having backdoors allowing for surveilance and remote control despite being produced by many corporations from all over the world. no matter if it's american, japanese, korean or whatever, that backdoor's still there. people realized it only relatively recently, and only because the info about it was leaked. and yet no one cares.

i repeat, you're too naive. you believe in humans way too much.

I'm not a neet and work full time, again they aren't entitled to anything

you're immeasurably stupid and you think like a child

The very definition of a free market keeps it from being a manipulable structure. Give people the freedom to do whatever and compete in whatever and the rest will sort itself out.
>but what if X
Then it's not free.

>if anything bad happens then it's not the REAL free market
Yeah and I'm sure it wasn't REAL communism either, buddy.

Well I sure hope so, but there is this barrier called the law of conservation of energy which sucks big-time unless proven false.
"Energy can neither be created nor destroyed."

Basically lets say you have a car that uses hydrogen gas as a fuel and that you can utilize a process called electrolysis to split hydrogen atoms from the water molecules.
If combusting the hydrogen gas in the car's engine yields 1 unit of energy then that 1 unit of energy will be spread across both kinetic energy (desired) and the energy losses such as heat (undesirable).
Assuming the byproduct of the chemical reaction is solely water, you will need to spend at the very least 1 unit of energy to split the hydrogen from the water molecules produced, however since you will also have power losses during the conversion process (such as electrical power loss in the form of heat power=resistance*current^2) then you will be spending more than 1 unit of energy to obtain your hydrogen atom again.
So in short you use more energy during the conversion process than you gain and that energy has to come from somewhere.

Now assume that your only pool of energy comes from the hydrogen in your car and that is all the resources you have access to and you have to make do with that alone.
Okay, so now I need energy to perform electrolysis.
We have 1 unit of energy split across power loss and kinetic from the combustion.
You have to somehow harness that one unit of energy, well guess what, the energy loss due to heat is dissipating into the atmosphere and the kinetic energy seems to be the only useful means of obtaining energy.
But again sticking an electrical motor to convert mechanical to electrical energy will produce both electricity and POWER LOSS in the form of heat.
So after all this you get a fraction of your 1 unit of energy which is not enough to get back your hydrogen unless you burn more of your precious hydrogen so you will eventually reach a point where you do not have enough hydrogen

It wasn't an inevitability.
As an example I would bring up Hot air balloons
The technology existed for them, long before 1783. Chinese lanterns existed in the three kingdoms period. We could have had them for a long time, all you need is a basket, a burner, and a gas bag.
Burners that could sustain flight existed for a long time, before we had first flight

>lack of government interference in markets leads to destruction

And yet you are?

You're not old enough to discuss politics, are you?

I believe in the human drive for money, which buys all forms of comfort available.

>if society gets to a point where monopolised services compete in a free market we're doomed

Remember the robber barons?

Now apply this to all our systems on earth and you will see the long term dilemma unless infinite resources exist within our reach or by some magic someone manages to break this law.

don't discount the effect of women on the window. they are the ones who overwhelmingly cry for more barbarians to be imported, because they see what life under socialism turns their men into. more women.

I understand this.
When it comes to nuclear waste, I am talking about things like "depleted' uranium, and other elements that got most of their energy content in the days of creation, or spent fuel rods.
Things that we cannot currently use, but may be able to down the line

>regulation is good
Absolute brainlet

you ignore the inherent drive to find the easiest way possible to deal with things. the path of least resistance. humans are lazy. if they didn't find these backdoors for decades then, they sure as fuck won't find them in said chip until it's after the fact.

Incel detected

Standard Oil genuinely had a better service when it came to delivering barrels of oil.

im sure youre very well informed

I noted regulation is important. Efficient and meaningful regulation. Going overboard on the back of wild-eyed idealism is bad. Giving the government undue authority is bad.

America is also the least Capitalist "developed" nation in the world

It's entertainment. We are supposed to have fun.

Things are looking up here in Italy. The left got a bit too many votes in the recent European election ( in which we elect people to represent Italy during EU congresses ) but the right is still the biggest party by a large margin.

How can you prevent a free market without force

Life isn't a lottery of souls randomly attached to a baby on birth. I am the product of my parents and their parents before. I wasn't born in a first world country by luck, but by will.

Again, you're assuming every corporation or smaller company involved in chip implants is going to insert malware into people's augmentations.
Which is just not true.

they did it in real world, which i said before and you conveniently ignored.

There is no such thing as a left libertarian
