They announce Zelda playable when?

They announce Zelda playable when?

Never

Hopefully not. I want to stare at Link’s ass

It's a remake of Zelda's Adventure in the BotW engine

I want to stare at both.

Never she gets grabbed by Ganondorf in the same cutscene and you have to save her by gathering the triforce

Fuck bro spoiler that shit

1-2 years

Never ever.
She's gonna be a damsel again.

Next E3 we'll get a gameplay demo

Until then we're not getting anything

You play as Zelda in all the Zelda games, what are you on about?

Never ever fags

BotW Zelda's more badass than the others though. She held off Ganon for 100 years and helped finish him off.

What retards and clickbaiters thinks it mean
>short hair? Playable!
What's actually going on at Nintendo, lead character designer
>You know Zelda would look really cute with short hair

Attached: iM1TakfldHjNiTpO95qmUPUuCZzQLwMCnMpDdmBrVk4.jpg (1280x1236, 272K)

It does sort of make sense, because long hair usually results in lots of clipping, which can be manually dealt with when you see a character in just few pre-determined cut-scenes, but if they a protagonist subject to all kinds of physics fuckery it's way harder to manage.
Simply getting rid of the long hair is the easiest solution.

Though it's also fair to assume that Ninty just wants to upgrade her design a bit to make sequel feel fresh,

Even in a lore perspective it makes sense. Long hair wouldn't exactly be the best if you're gonna go through dark dungeons And they show a cute cutscene where she shows it off and asks what Link thinks. Honestly Zelda playable would be my last guess

Let's ask ourselves something more interesting? What in the fuck ARE these? They're called a Blupee and look like rabbits with the head of an owl and antlers, but beyond that, what the hell are these things? They're invincible, drop rupees when struck and they disappear in a puff of light when startled.

I have a theory on these little niggers I'd like to get off of my chest. One might simply just say they're spirits of nature or some hippie shit, but I believe I can go further with the lore directly provided within BotW. The owl is symbolic for wisdom and is actually one of the 3 animals used by the ancient Zonai tribe in their architecture, the other two being a dragon, which symbolizes courage, and the boar, which symbolizes power. The Zonai were aware of the Triforce and these 3 animals were their depictions/representation of it. It's also stated that the Zonai tribe were very powerful magic users and that they mysteriously vanished before the events of the original Great Calamity that took place 10,000 years before BotW. I feel like these Blupee things with the head of an owl might be spirits of the Zonai, or at least magic being used by them to help guide the hero. If you noticed, these things were placed at areas of great interest through out the game, implying they were there to show the player something. Also, if you listen very closely, you can hear the sound of an owl get louder and quieter depending on how far away you are from a Korok, yet you never see an actual owl once.

The game just started development, it won't be playable until 2021 at least

It's not just the short hair though. Zelda has the same outfit as Link in the trailer which probably represents some gear we have in the game.

They're reusing BotW's engine, it's already halfway done.

Pretty sure they started right after BotW released.
Though I hope they take their time and don't rush it out. BotW felt rushed out for the Switch release.

probably a reference to random jap folklore

I'm going to follow this up with an additional tin foil hat post.

The Zonai apparently vanished before the first Great Calamity. We see their structures everywhere in hyrule in BotW so we know what they like to build. Examine the Zonai pillar seen here. Compare it to something like the Fused Shadow helmet that Midna wore in Twilight Princess. They're very similar, it almost makes you thing that the tribe who was banished to the Twilight Realm were the Zonai and not an evil shieka tribe. Well, what if I told you that the Zonai were aware of and worked together with the shieka? Remember the labyrinths in BotW? They were built by the Zonai before the shieka built their shrines within them. Perhaps being very strong magic users, adept at architecture and being a savage or warlike tribe, the zonai were seen as a direct threat to the power and influence of the shieka, and were banished out of fear. Or perhaps the Zonai simply banished themselves...

I was hoping this would turn into the next BotW lore thread, but it seems you shit skins would rather skeet over pixels.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised. Asian folklore is more vast in weird shit than I can count.

>playable Zelda
Good
>short hair Zelda
ruined

Would you have settled for a medium length haircut?

Honestly BotW's lore is not worth speculating over for me because it's incredibly flimsy.
Not that the rest of the franchise is any better.

reminder

Well, I can see how you'd say it's flimsy, but because BotW is getting a direct sequel, we can safely say that the lore established within the world of BotW will be carried over and expanded upon in its sequel, so we can at least speculate upon this small amount that we currently have.

as cute as it would be the first time, unless they record +200 lines, it would get stale real fast and just shit on the game's replayability

Here you go faggot

Attached: 71811-zelda-the-wand-of-gamelon-cd-i-front-cover.jpg (800x705, 129K)

i mean the money has to go somewhere they already have the engine/models/mechanics/world from the first game

spend that shit on more enemy variety, would be neat if there were more fights that took place in larger spaces. Also more creatures like a Lynel where you gotta stop fucking around

What in the fuck. Was this the real inspiration behind her Smash ultimate model? This shit is identical.

im not even buying this, dont really care desu.

Link's Awakening/Between Words

Wand of Gamelot was made around the same time as A link to the Past. The zelda on the the cover is the same design as alttp/albw Zelda, which is the Zelda we have in Smash.

>Zelda appears in short tease/trailer
OMGZ SHE'S TOTS PLAYABLE

Fucking seriously, first people are grasping straws with wanting Link to be female after seeing botw's teaser from years back. Now this time around people are grasping to have Zelda be playable? Every time a new game gets teased, retards flock together and jump to dumb assumptions like this.

Attached: 1560382142417.gif (214x214, 1.27M)

Never. At least not for this game.

There's nothing to win from making Zelda playable. You'd just lose a character by turning her into what link already is, which is a a silent protag. If you want to subvert that by turning link into an actual character, then they'd run the risk of giving link's personality too much definition, which is unfitting.

There's too many amateur designer mistakes implied in that route so it's extremely doubtful they'd go that way. Not that I don't trust nintendo could make it work, but it's such high risk for such shallow advantages in return. And not like nintendo doesn't already have a great female icon with Samus, who is as good as female character representation can potentially get. Too bad women don't play metroid but that's another story.

>Nintendo is turning Link into a long haired tranny and Zelda into a short hair feminist dyke
Only Yea Forums would defend this.

>People want thinks they like and theorize and imagine how cool it would be if their ideas came to be, WHAT RETARDS HAHA
just admit you're dead inside and move on

Remember when everybody thought link was female in the first BOTW teaser.
hrmmmmm

he ISN'T?????

You'll play both, but separately. You play Link in the overworld, and all the mechanics are like Breath of the Wild. You'll be looking for temples in order to defeat Ganondorf, and when you find a Temple Grounds, you will have to escort Zelda there. Her magic will cause some shenanigans to happen, and Link will have to solve puzzles with his abilities while fighting off enemies coming to defend the Temple Grounds. When the Temple finally arrives, Zelda enters, and you control her. The temples play like older Zelda games, with a dungeon item, keys, etc., and Zelda has her own inventory used specifically for the temples.

Talkative Link would be totally meme potential though, I'd say Nintendo go for it.

escort kill yourself

Nigga I just mean she follows you.

So would Zelda be taking the role of Navi then?

Links been shown to have a personality in numerous games, hell he had one in BOTW until treehouse butchered it.

I just wish they dropped voice acting altogether for the sequel. It doesn't suit the series at all. Zelda games are fairy tales, not some kind of epic high fantasy shit with big words and long conversations. Plus there is a very particular rythm to voiceless cutscenes in Zelda games that make every line of dialog work into some kind of animated illustration that won't continue until you press "A" for the next line of dialog and it doesn't work if you want to ram in voice acting.

Plus the only people that ever complained about lack of voice acting in Zelda games were snoys and retards that were not going to play the games anyways.

Link has a personality to some extent in every game, but it's vague enough so you can still fill in the huge gaps of his thoughts with your own. He's nothing without the player to interpret his small gestures. You just can't make him talk and have opinions and shit in the next game without killing him a little.

Get out the tinfoil
I has a theory
10,000 years ago Ganon refused to become Demise's vessel so the "Heros" forced the hand of fate to make it happen and made the situation 1000x times worse but managed to contain it.
Fast forward 900 yrs the Calamity happens.
100yrs later events of BOTW happen.
Present day/sequel Link and Zelda now have to deal with the fallout.
What if it turns out the Ancient Heros and Shekia aren't necessarily "the bad guys" but just got to full of themselves and colossally fucked up?

It sounds like Dragon's Dogma pawns.
>Are you cold, Arisen?
>I reckon we could climb that mountain, Arisen.
>Was the food sufficient, Arisen?
>Make sure you save enough money for the inn, Arisen.

>Never ever
But it's already happened before

Aonuma said in an interview in 2017 they're already started working on the next mainline Zelda game, stop spreading fud.

The red and blue oni, perhaps?

I love DD so I'd love to have a Zelda pawn in BotW2.

It's obvious and brilliant. The SJWs will love it, and, you know, I don't mind it either.

>BotW with DD monster climbing
>climb the Hynox and stab it in the eye

SJWs wanted a tranny Link not a playable Zelda

>cling onto dragons and ride them into the spirit world

Attached: 1555509812148.jpg (300x300, 22K)

the zonai ruins seem to be an aesthetic callback to the statues and ruins that you find in the original LoZ, Adventure of Link, and L2tP - dragons, bestial heads and snake-like bodies. There's a good dose of mesoamerican design in there as well.

I'm not sure if there was any backstory to the kinds of ruins you find in the games mentioned above, but the zonai ruins incorporate those aesthetic senses into the narrative.

Lol are you insane? BotW was delayed like hell to make the switch release

Given that Link is like 99% confirmed to be playable as well SJWs will fucking hate it because it will cockblock all their homo fantasies.

Good enough

Top right reminds me of that sister's avatar in SAO.
