What trash quality.

Quest shilling aside is there any good long games that aren't made by Bethesda?
I don't wanna play $40-60 for a 5 hour game, I kinda regret buying my headset so early because there's just nothing with longevity yet.

Elite Dangerous and Euro Truck/American Truck sim

I recommend these, they are all roughly 5 hours long but cost 30$

So nothing, rad.
I swear if nostos and stormland aren't good i'm giving up on VR here.

I've got a regular Rift, and I'm honestly thinking about getting the S, just because I'm getting tired of all these sensors and shit cluttering up my room.

Obduction is pretty great

Also, ultrawings is a really fun arcadey flying sim with tons of challenges, I've easily played 20 hours so far

Attached: ultrawings4-quest.webm (800x800, 2.85M)

Theres also The Witness I suppose.
I got my vive day 1, I had a lot of fun with it, even made some money doing Tilt Brush commissions, but Im about ready to sell it

Why dont they focus more on sexgames and porn. Their user base is 99% virgin and has never touched a woman. They would bank so hard. Look at skyrim. The porn mods keep that crap alive for years.

VR market is pretty small no matter what anyone says, that's why we're only getting actual games that aren't 4 hours long this year despite it being around for a consumers for quite a while now.

Same reason I abandoned my vive for the quest, external sensor are annoying.
I personally didn't find the tracking to be worse, you can still grab stuff from your back easily and unless you are chin-aiming using aiming guns isn't an issue either. If you want you can push the tracking to it's limits, sure, but it doesn't happen during normal gameplay.

Can't believe this game is 30 dollars. It's fucking shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=gLxKq2qdAO0 ahem
>Unleash the wrath of the Gods in a mythical Norse adventure that can only unfold in VR. Forge your destiny as both a mortal hero and living god in an action role playing game of unworldly depth. Asgard's Wrath is a 30+ hour action-adventure

It is, really didn't like it, I got it for free during a giveaway though.

Because VR porn and VR Games are oil and water.
If Skyrim VR or Fallout VR had all mods, and was actually optimized, itd be fucking choice.
All VR sex games ive ever tried are just you standing in your real room as your anime character is just lying down in bed as some woman does her animations on you. At least Monster Girl Island has like 2 good characters

I can't wait to see where VR porn is in 20-30 years. It's going to get where it'll be completely lifelike, and you'll be able to fuck anyone you want. I'm trying to keep myself healthy, just so I can eventually live my lifelong dream of fucking Lara Croft, Jill Valentine, and Rei Ayanami.

That's why they should focus on porn games. It would blow up and get a lot of attention. It's going way to slow for years and years. I think most people even moved on from VR and think it's crap anyway.

>If Skyrim VR or Fallout VR
both hacked on VR support that is more gimmicky than actually enjoyable.
They had the chance to make immersive games where you physically grab objects, instead you just press x and aim your hand at shit to open or pick up.

Instead the combat in skyrim is actually more garbage than before aside from the bow and arrow shooting

Attached: thewizards1-quest.webm (800x800, 2.99M)

Fallout 4 VR's combat is actually great. Too bad the rest of the game sucks and the performance is balls.

>Mickey Mouse'd
?

well no shit, Bethesda made it

Stop posting about that phone, pcvr is good shit though.

>After the Fall
>Budget Cuts 2
>Meat Fortress 2

>the Wizards DLC

It wasn't bad

It's not a phone though

>Arizona Sunshine on Quest
considering how downgraded Arizona was on PSVR that doesn't sound good.

>Arizona Sunshine on Quest
I still can't believe this is happening.
Holy shit, that game is unplayable with a four foot wire around your balls.

It's a midrange for 2017 ARM processor, it's a phone.

I head most issues were with the controls. Hopefully they can manage the downgrade.

It's overclocked, and has actual cooling.

Honestly focusing the lighting on pre-baked shadows is probably a better idea than whatever that mess was on PS4.

Attached: ultrawings1-quest.webm (800x800, 2.94M)

There is a difference between a mobile SoC in a 5mm thin case with a copper heat pipe versus an overclocked one actively cooled by a fan.

Has anyone here actually tried the Quest? How does it compare to the PSVR which I would place in the same "casual VR" category?

You can place it in liquid nitrogen, it still won't be able to calculate physics or display semi-pleasing visuals no matter how hard developers nerf their games.
Devs should be experimenting, not designing scaled back games for a corporate cashgrab walled garden and you're a fucking retard for supporting it and shilling it day after day.

Coming from a vive, besides the obvious visual downgrades, it's a very good experience. I can not compare it directly to PSVR but the tracking works very well within the cameras field of view and the roomscale setup is really fast. Being able to just put it on without starting up my PC, making sure my basestations and wires are plugged in, make me use it more too.
The lack of wire specifically is a huge plus, I used to have a plug-in for steamvr which would tell me in what direction to turn to untangle the wire. Not having to think about it at all is good.

The screendoor effect and godrays are significantly less present than on the OG vive.
Most of the games I care about are coming to the platform, until there are some high quality games in the PCVR space not available on quest I'm not upgrading.

Creating a profitable ecosystem is literally the most important thing for VR in general right now, and the Quest has the best shot at that. I'm tired browsing the steam vr section and having to pick out worthwhile stuff between a pile of garbage.

It's fun, though there is a distinct lack of content that is helped a bit with side-loading. I haven't seen anything butchered too bad honestly but I've yet to play Sairento on it which looks like ass judging from the trailer.

How is the Rift S?

>no Dungeon Keeper clone where the game takes place in your dank throne room and you control a model of your dungeon on the table in front of you where you can see all your minions scurrying around and shit
It practically writes itself.

I don't know how much has changed, but apparently there are 5 levels specifically made for the quest, while the PC version has much more content. It looks pretty bad too so I'm not looking forward to it.
youtube.com/watch?v=rXH9vUNktmM
espire 1 gameplay clip at 0:50 doesn't look completely butchered, seems like a good port considering the hardware and it's coming in august.

here is good list of confirmed or upcoming rumored games and looks like To The Top might be coming to the quest afterall

Attached: eternal-starlight-quest.webm (720x720, 1.85M)

I'm pretty sure most of my
>It practically writes itself.
games haven't even seen a tech demo. The ones that did like Vox Machinae are fucking dead. Beat Saber is still the only game that gets VR swords right, Pavlov is still the only shooter, and it's 2019. VR is dead.

In fairness the VR market is pretty small compared to the general PC games one so it's probably often not worth developing a really fleshed out game around a VR gimmick.
