f-5 is a noob trap, as are most aircraft right at the start, the F-4 will hold ya for a bit.
Buy special weapons, save for the cool planes.

Just shoot them with machine gun or use QAAM. I did Mission 19 on Ace and had no issues dogfighting SU-57 or F-22. Even the aces.
Huginn and Muninn can go fuck themselves though with their constant G-Turns. I'm still working on my PSM.
