I finally tried to play Mighty No.9 a while ago. I shot the first enemy once and the game crashed, fried my graphics card, and corrupted my hard drive.
I haven't tried it again since.

I was going to get it, i see that it has online multiplayer, how does it work exactly?

There is no inverted castle, that was a lie. Its an ability to flip the castle with no changes to enemies or their spawns. Its basically a movement mechanic.

I will probably NSP it day one on Switch because I loved the fuck out of Castlevania Rondo of Blood on the PSP and this is basically a rehash of that from the same dude. I tried the "8 bit" prequel but it was pretty meh, but maybe that's because I played actual real 8 bit games all my childhood and I don't really see the appeal in them nowadays unlike normie millennials who like nu-retro shit.
Other than that though, this is your typical kikestarted nostalgia-bait by some washed out, literally who from the nineties, so I expect to be disappointed.

That being said, it's fucking sad how they released a trailer for the "improved" grafix, it looks as bad as before, but shinier. This is like adding additional tesselation to a turd. I don't really care about the graphics though.

Some other stuff:

-There's a corruption mechanic with the amount of shards you carry. But I've gathered a stupid amount (like 30 something at once) and never went past the GOOD condition

-Multiple endings, determined by the amount of shards you have and your corruption level when you run into Gebel each time. I think the perfect ending means you have to have no shards on you each time you meet him.

-Zangetsu starts with Double Jump, Miriam doesn't get it until the 4th boss. Haven't unlocked Zangetsu yet, I assume I need to beat the game.

-I sunk about 5+ hours and am about 1/3rd of the way in. I'm not rushing through the game at all.

-A lot more customization than you'd expect. Can customize hair with a ton of options, skin color, eye color, costume color. Equipment changes your appearance. Can give yourself cat ears, glasses, elf ears, etc.

-Bunch of cosmetics are references to other series. Two masks are from JoJo for example (Stone Mask and Joseph's breather mask).

-Most of the weapons in the game have their own special abilities tied to an input. You wont be told what the input is unless you find it on a bookshelf or you mess around yourself. Usually its either QCF, QCF-B, QCB-F, DD, FF, or mash.

Some specials are tied to more than one weapon. No more than 4 weapons per special. And there's a ton of them.

It was the one feature I asked to expand in feedback, so I'm glad a lot of people must have been asking the same thing. Just adds that little bit extra to combat. Always thought it was a bit sad that in castlevania games only a handful of late game weapons might have some special stuff.

15-20 sounds about right. Castle feels maybe a bit bigger than Portrait's including the painting areas.

A lot of your game time will come from experimenting though and doing side missions. There's a bunch of quest lines given to you early on and also a Cooking quest line and a bunch of crafting you can do. Then trying out all the shard combos you can do with your weapons.

I got the Spiral Sword early on and used that for like the first 1/4th of the game. Greatswords feel okay cause of its attack arc, makes it good for flying dudes but wasn't a fan of how slow it was.

Katanas, Shoes, and Rapiers feel great, weapons with a QCFx3 kind of command were fun to use.

I didn't play much of the demo but it honestly doesn't even feel like the same game at all. Everything feels better, and it controls better too.

Sadly they were called in only to fix the damn ugly old graphics. They did an amazing job on it though, final version looks actually fine now. It still could be better if the base assets weren't so damn shit, but they did their best I think.

I'm on the fence about getting it or saving that money for indivisible or stash tabs in Path of Exile. I feel that the game will probably be just mediocre and unexciting, but competent, and I'm not sure that that's worth 35 bucks to me.

It's actually because Ayami Kojima had an exclusivity contract with Koei Tecmo and was only able to produce that piece as a backer reward due to its terms. As it stands the original lead artist was replaced a few years ago by Mana due to backers wanting something more in line with Kojima's work.

Don't know the names of the tracks yet but the Clock Tower theme was really good. Overall I think the soundtrack is very very very nice but not quite on the same level of SotN.

There's also an issue where a lot of areas don't have music when they should. This is probably cause of the Day 1 patch

Fraid not. The day one stretch goal content will be Nightmare Mode, New Game+, the 8 bit level, and cheat codes. The patch is for bugs and playable Zangetsu. My hope is classic mode gets priority over the others since it's a relatively simple asset flip and only six stages.

World is barely MTframework anymore. It's a frankenstein machine on its like fourth iteration.
MTframework runs so well because it was designed to NOT have dlc. It's basically a perfectly flowing closed loop. It having holes like that is why it runs like shit. It's also why MTframework games usually release a second version, like DMC4SE, DD:DA, or RE5G instead of releasing dlc level packs. Even the "dlc" for stuff like DMC4SE are the outfits, which are conveniently a 1mb file that unlocks something already in the game, nothing new actually added.

That's because a wait and see approach is the most reasonable one to have. There's a reason why you should never pre-order a game.

I got the switch version pre ordered from best buy if only because I have curse of the moon on Switch and the fancy steel case only comes with the switch version which makes no sense since it only holds discs and the switch is a cart based system.
