Pirating means you are not financially rewarding them but you still get to play the game.
Blame digital distribution, on top of allowing pic related, most people who play games these days, especially on PC, are non-gamer casuals that wouldn't play games if it weren't for easy access granted by paid digital distribution, they wouldn't even bother pirating, these are the people games are made for now. if you pay for digital distribution then you have no right to complain because you are part of the problem, you are financially rewarding the decline in quality of games and financially rewarding the distribution method that gives these casuals a voice.
