What monitor(s) do you use for games?
Anyone using 4k yet?
I'm tempted to get the 4k VA Benq monitor for casual games

I use a 2560x1440 144hz Asus monitor.

A 75hz 1080p 21:9 for everything and a 244hz 1080p for competitive games. I used to play OW very competitively

holy shit you are completely retarded and probably a poorfag
Why? It's still 16:9, it's not an ultrawide.

I've had it for around 3 and a half years and I love it
I run dual 32" 4k VA monitors, though I game at 1440p for the most part. Can't go back to lower than 4k though when it comes to non-vidya stuff.
2k is 1080p retard
you're literally autistic, kill yourself instead of projecting
How's 1080p videos on 4k? What model? Does the "smear" or whatever it's called bother you? I heard VA panels can be problematic when it comes to movement and color shifting.
I currently use a 40' 4K LG TV as a monitor and it offers a fair bit of flexibility. Can play games in 4K when I want, and can also play supported games in 3440x1440 21:9 when I want to. Kinda gives me the best of both worlds and I don't end up with black bars ever which is one of the major complaints about ultrawide monitors. The major con of using this as my monitor is that it's only 60hz. I'd like a higher refresh rate but since I don't play any eSports games it's not entirely necessary.
>How's 1080p videos on 4k?
No worse than they'd be on a 1080p monitor from my experience
>What model?
Acer ET322QK
>Does the "smear" or whatever it's called bother you?
I pretty much never notice it, and that's coming from only using TN panels
Best quality
what's a good ultrawide that doesn't have terrible QC issues?
I'm not too keen on playing the display lottery and sending back two or three screens before I get one that's just acceptable rather than actually of quality, seen too many horror stories in reviews
gimme that snail background
Same reason I've not pulled the trigger on an ultrawide. Everyone tells stories of having to RMA multiple times until they get an acceptable panel. I'm also kind of waiting on the new MSI 144hz ultrawide that they're planning to release in Q3. And here's the wallpaper
yeah, nah.
Enjoy have a permanent start menu & task bar burned in and visible in all your games

This monitor hits a sweet spot for
>size
>input lag
>resolution
>image quality
>cheapness
To play video games with it properly you must generate a LUT file and install reshade and the LUT shader or your colors will be oversaturated.
pic unrelated, just google what it looks like. spoiler: a fucking computer monitor
excellent snail, thank you sir
guess I'll just be keeping my eyes peeled for something, I've hardly got the desk space for a real second monitor so an ultrawide seems like a reasonable step up given the circumstances
