Not making it about zombies for one thing.
Every trailer is about fighting humans.
The only reason I liked the first Dying Light because it was a better Dead Island.
Now zombies aren't even the main focus.

Well I sure didn't see much of that in any of the trailers.
Now they might have shown the protag flinging through a building with some zombies in it, but that sure wasn't much of an emphasis.
They're really focusing on the human society aspect this time around.

There was a interview that showed some more gameplay and when the guy went inside a building there was a bunch of zombies chilling inside, when they walked out they got stunned due to the sunlight, at least im assuming that is why.

Introducing more ranged weapons.Personally I'd love to see a spear as well as more variety when it comes to guns. Also using the spear to make climbing platforms. Also increasing the variety of human enemies(some with parkour skills,snipers,heavily armored close combat) without taking the focus away from zombies so Humans are a genuine threat during the day and zombies at night.

Not presenting an improved story. Dumbing down the parkour mechanics. As one user mentioned earlier taking the focus away from zombies.

make it so that if you do wind up with a vehicle, that those assholes in hazmat suits don't start spawning every ten fucking feet, or make it so that running into them doesn't somehow detonate them.

There's literally like a few zombies just chilling out in the daytime at the very beginning of that video.

Better writing, better characters, a more interesting villain than Suleiman or whatever his name was. Build upon the parkour element instead of keeping it the same. Some truly monstrous shit out at night, not just tall naked zombies but some real fucking monstrosities that really make you fear the night.

It's because most of them are indoors, when the one tries to chase the player outside just before 2 minutes in they get staggered due to the sunlight. Guess the virus is evolving.

It's shit. The worst part about Dying Light 1 was unlocking the grappling Hook.
The 2nd worst part was every fight with another human. Melee fights felt like a tekken game where block absorbs 100% of damage and gun fights were just annoying.

The Following was a disappointment for me since it took away focus from the parkour into the buggy. Made the map really empty as well, but I guess that's a given in an open world with a focus on vehicles. At least the lesbian was cute and the boss fight was better than the Rais

I heard Techland fired most of their dev team after they started publishing other peoples games, dunno if it's true but I guess we'll see once this comes out

I only hope that it's as fun as DL1. The story was bare bones and mediocre, but the gameplay carried me through 3 playthroughs.

I loved when that happened in Dying Light one, opening a door to a surprise special and not having the safety of parkouring around them.
That's why I always made sure to have a gun handy, fuck however many normals I drew to the sound.
