Worst character in a game full of terrible characters.

The game fucked up from the very beginning.
Game server shat itself and it went on series of maintenance for like couple of weeks with like less than 15 hours of up time.
The nips mocked them up endlessly on their official twitter. Few of the maintenance announcement tweet managed to garner about 500+ replies. At this point NIS stock start falling at quite alarming rate.
After that, Forward Works announced that the game will be taken down "temporary" for a massive infrastructure fix, although this will need at VERY LEAST 3 months and will result in payer data reset, this obviously includes used paid currency which further upset more people.

NIS and Nintendo don't really mesh, their latest Labyrinth game isn't even coming to Switch, it's coming to Vita, but not Switch, that should say a lot about them. Nintendo realistically have nothing to gain from a buyout. Personally I see a buyout by a company like DeNa, Gungho, some japanese publisher focused on phone games, or a Chinese company looking to acquire the IP they've been apeing.

Last Disgaea I really liked was 4 in terms of story. NIS has been shit ever since the PS3 era and I cannot fathom anyone who plays JRPGs care about them other then Disgaea. I hope when someone gets all the IPs like Soul Nomad and Makai Kingdom they release them on PC.

Ys 8 was delayed for half a year and released in just as bad a state it was when it was in the beta before the initial release date. They're just incompetent.

Not nearly enough. Sony stopped bothering making first party games for it and never really seemed to try to get exclusives. No-one went out of their way to target the Vita, so aside from a few odd things it's pretty much whatever Switch and PS4 games the devs decided to also release on Vita. It's been a festering wound since at least 2015 and Sony treats it like a mistake which they want to forget.

US sales numbers for software leaked earlier this year and it really puts into perspective just how badly it sold and how dire a situation it was in the west.
This list is in terms of dollar sales up until September 2018 and the top earning Vita game only sold 400k copies in the US, the 10th best selling Vita game only sold 200k copies in the US, and only 1 game made it on the list that came out after 2012, the year that Vita launched. Almost all of these have went on sale for $5 or even less too.
Things were so bad it's a miracle they didn't pull out sooner and we even got the Slim model here.
