When W101 first got revealed, I wasn't interested until I saw more of it, and the same thing is happening with Astral Chain
I prefer modern Devil May Cry over anything Platinum makes, but their games are still fantastic, and I'll definitely be following Astral Chain

I really enjoy Vanquish and W101, but Bayonetta and NieR don't really appeal to me on a visual and thematic level, so I never bothered picking them up
Revengeance is kinda the same deal - I don't care for Raiden, so I doubt I'd ever pick it up
MP3 had great music, like Bryyo and some of the boss tracks, and some fun power-ups, but I'd definitely prefer a more spooky and isolated atmosphere like the other two

I loved Bloodborne since I first got it, honestly
It's one of rare few games that I was 100% satisfied with the minute I got it - same with BOTW, DMC5, and maybe Sekiro
DS2 gets a lot of hate, but it's like a massive Souls playground
There's just so much content; it's not all amazing content, but the sheer amount of it almost makes up for it
DS3 is probably my least-favorite in the series, but I still enjoy it - it just has some annoying-ass enemies that like to move so jankily and shriek in your ear

Unfortunately DS2 is the playground that has one slide and a sandbox. Strays shit in the sandbox, and there's a ton of needles around the slide and your creepy uncle.
It's very big, but very empty, and the few things it has is ruined by itself.
BB isn't bad, I just didn't like the combat. The problem was I was coming off playing DS1-3, and the combat is so vastly different. It was towards the end of the game I started to really get it, and that's when it suddenly became enjoyable. If I replay it now I'll probably like it.
DS3 is like DSR-lite. It does a lot of what it does, but not as good. It's just enjoyable.

It has so much RPG customization in it, with spices and power-stancing and all the specific stats
You can truly create your own insane build with customized stat values
The game is also very comfy

I've put so many hours into Souls games that playing them feels like "coming home", in a sense
They make me so relaxed
The "Souls games are stressful and hard" meme is only applicable on your first two or three playthroughs, honestly

Hollow Knight is alright, but I dropped it shortly after picking it up
The combat is fine and I have no objective issues with the game, but it all looks the same
Every zone has a unique look, but every room within a zone is nearly identical without any discernible or unique features
It made the game extremely samey and boring for me, and I ended up dropping it after a couple hours
I say this as someone who absolutely adores 2D Metroid
If you like the artstyle and like Metroidvanias, pick it up - chances are you won't have the same problems with it that I have

Absolutely, I think DSR is insanely comfy, but DS2 just rubbed me the wrong way. The movesets and spices were cool, but at the same time, so many enemies and areas were just dreadful I felt.
You know that lava area that clears out once you kill the Ceaseless Discharge? With like 8 Taurus demons? Almost all of DS2 felt like that for me. Boring, empty, and enemies to have enemies there.
If you can look past it's flaws, of course, more power to you. I just can't stand it.
I still have nightmares over the Frozen Outskirts or whatever it's called.

Hollow Knight is a genuine masterpiece imo. It's absurdly well done, and incredibly fun. I'll admit the start is a little slow, but once you beat the first real boss it's just constantly uphill.

The thing about the gank squad, the Frigid Outskirts, and the blue Smelter thing is that those areas are specifically made to be done in co-op
People who don't own the DLC can actually drop their summon sign outside the entrance and have it project to those specific areas of the DLC
They're like massive horde levels made to be really difficult and stupid in solo play, but a fun romp in co-op
I really love Sinh, honestly - probably one of the better dragon fights in a Souls game

Gimped weapon durability is one of my favorite things about DS2, honestly
It encourages you to carry backup weapons and pick your battles, since there's a legitimate chance they could break between bonfires
In DS1, repairing was just a tacked-on side feature - nothing would ever actually break
DS3 is a little better, but it was only ever a threat in DS2
