Oh, yes, because I fucking LOVED it in New Leaf how the only worthwhile means of grinding bells was catching bugs on the island over and over for hours for two years and it never changed. A series should never attempt to change or vary its gameplay no matter how many sequels it gets, like Pokemon, because we all know how good of a franchise Pokemon is. There's absolutely no way that having multiple resources for obtaining items can be good, variety in gameplay is bad.

Not him but it does negatively affect any game with strong community aspects like this, but I honestly haven't seen any real effects from them outside of the ones on Yea Forums. On /vg/ or any other site, or even just randoms, it's mostly people who just think the game is cute or literal children playing it because it's a good game for girls, and even when you do find one they tend not to sperg out about it and tell you how much they want to fuck things outside of Yea Forums. You'd have to be one unlucky bastard to run across the one in ten thousand players that's some turbo autist furfag in game or in civil discussions and ruins it, and even after that you can just disconnect in game or hide their posts/block them. Outside of the few freaks, AC has a pretty great community with a good item trading economy, village making display subsection, etc.
