After the first world the next 8 have some genuinely clever hiding places for the Jiggy collectables you need to advance through the game. The controls are pinpoint where you can easily control all your momentum for platforming. The pace is a tad bit slower than other 3D platformers admittedly, but not bad that it feels like you’re taking longer than you need to for traveling. The music is subjectively (maybe objectively, I dunno) super catchy and changes instruments and pace depending on where you are, so the sound design is nice. As other people also said, the chemistry between characters is very charming with the dialogue.

He has a long history of being the third banana's second banana, his character is very much established and there is a lot to work with when giving him a unique moveset.
On top of that he's a heavily requested character, so with fan support and Nintendo actually owning, I can see him getting in a future smash bros as a playable character, if not this one as a DLC fighter.
I don't see Doomguy getting in, not because of the character himself or his games, but because I personally don't see any fan interest in him being in smash.

They had like five games in development but Nintendo axed them all and made them create Metroid instead. Then they tried to make something else but got shot down again and put onto Donkey Kong. I assume it has happened again because we got no word from them at e3, we just know they’re working on Prime 4.
