There's a couple of people from the original team, troika has long been defunct.
It wasn't a playable demo. When your specifically made short public teaser for a title less than a year (very short time window) away looks bad, it's incredibly unlikely that they'll be content to realize something looking good for the end consumer.

Animation is not even close to the first one, and voice acting feels sterile compared to og cast, and the writing from the trailer was just bad.
