Alright, I realize that to many fans of FFVII this might be considered sacrilegious just asking this but, do we really want to see Crossdressing Cloud and all the other bullshit leading up to it?
For me, personally, I honestly hope they either leave that shit out or rework it so that it feels like it belongs with the rest of the game.
Yes, I get that seeing cloud in a dress was something that fans thought was the most hilarious shit in the game, more so if you take the time to get the best items.
But here’s the thing, even back when I first played FFVII on PlayStation, I always felt the Wall Market side story really killed the game’s overall narrative, with all the weird, goofy shit.
And remember, what may have worked when the game was a semi-comical fantasy with obvious anime influences, may not work for a game like Remake which is going for a more realistic and gritty tone.
All that shit taking place in wall market, from the mishaps at the honeybee in to the final showdown at Don Corneo’s mansion, will just come off as cringey anime humor that clashes with the rest of the game.
If it were up to me here’s how I would try to include most of the Wall Market stuff in the remake.
>Cloud and Aerith arrive at Wall Market bit lose track of the carriage that had been carrying Tifa
>Cloud has one of his ‘episodes’ and collapses in the street
>Cloud has a short but freaky nightmare before waking up in a room at the Honeybee Inn where he is being tended to by Aerith and Mukki, the club’s bouncer/resident healer.
>Cloud and Aerith soon learn about Tifa and her plan to infiltrate Corneo’s mansion as a potential ‘bride’ for the Don.
>Aerith’s plan to simply rush in a rescue Tifa is quickly shot down when they are told about how the Don’s mansion is the most heavily fortified place in the slums.
>One of the girls as the Inn points out that if Aerith has just the sort of looks that the Don goes nuts for and suggests that if she had a better dress, she might be able to get past the guards.
>When Cloud asks how he’s supposed to get it, Mukki immediately suggests that Cloud also dress up, an idea which Cloud shoots down before it can go any further.
>When they infiltrate the mansion, Cloud sneaks in through a side entrance, while Aerith distracts the guards. The amount of distraction will depend on the quality of items you obtained for Aerith’s dress.

That's my favorite part of the Tales games that allow for accessories to be displayed in the cutscenes. Just make the whole crew roll up in douchebag aviators, it's the best. Nothing wrong with doing a playthrough where the entire cast looks fucking dumb, I hope this becomes a thing in remake.

this section was legitimately hilarious, it was taking every bit of the piss of Cloud being some solitary badass by making him bend over backwards to help some thot he met once.
I want a different character model for every 'tier' of equipment, from shittier and shittier hairpieces to cut-cost dresses and heels and shit, all leading up to the beautiful purple dress that we all know and love.
Make people play the game 30 times just to see every possible costume, it's great.
