>God I love seeing people suffer and depressed cause it makes my pee pee hard
what fucking mentality is this?
>he donated +$10 for an unreleased game to have his name in small writing
i was in the minority back then warning people that no publishers/contracts etc. will be a bad thing because devs are lazy assholes who won't work without a publisher hounding them
Yea Forums laughed at me and happily backed games
The game is on its way though?

>1,157 backers pledged $32,524 to help bring this project to life.
OH NO NO NO NO
Scam
why did people even fall for this shit
>devs are lazy assholes who won't work without a publisher hounding them
no, indie devs just have no experience managing and have a loose grasp on how to structure development
publishers are leeches who are only good at cancelling games that are 90% complete because market research palm reading said that they might make 2% more money if they cut their losses.
There are actually a decent number of games that were successful and delivered.
It's called schadenfreude, everyone knows this feeling.
publishers are 100% necessary though even tho they are cancer
whats the ratio of delivered kickstarter games against the number of scams?
They could be improved though. Like making the decision to cancel a game democratic by the developers, and making assets from canceled games the property of the people who made it.
I think my favorite one is the people waiting on Scam Citizen.
this one is a goldmine too
I cant imagine how they survived that.
Incredible really that one
gotta feel for nancy

>All these nobody devs scamming people
If a kickstarter doesn't have a playable demo, then it's a scam. Always check for demos, anons
if they have a demo then they can finish the game, however long it will take.
if they can't then they should fuck off and find a job at mcdonalds or something
Nah, if they have a good enough demo, then they should get support.
Shovel Knight didn’t
Then again, Shovel Knight is the main exception
>$335k
Shovel Knight is what Mighty Number 9 wish it would be. Everyone flocked to KS because of MN9 but somehow SK became the poster child on how to do a kickstarter right
>Hi! I signed back in to tell you to eat a poop. bye
Donated 100$ (Basically all my birthday presents) to a kickstarter that never even released an alpha when I was like 14 years old.
It taught me a very valuable lesson about what a scam is so I kinda consider it money well spent
