Incorrect. Pay more attention to the school phase portion of the Treehouse Live, you can see that she can train and motivate both Raphael and Ignatz. Audrey herself said that she loved both of the boys in her Golden Deer playthrough so she (craddle-)snatched both in the Black Eagle run we've seen. The only way you can unlock the Paralogue is that you have both units in your roster.

The school setting will feel weird with permadeath. Like, after the timeskip and there’s war going on, yeah, people die, that’s what happens. But you’re teaching impressionable teenagers and letting your students die doesn’t exactly scream competence. Maybe they could go casual and instead of dying, just retreat, but then of course that would mean half, or at least a third or so of the game wouldn’t have the permadeath everyone knows and loves anymore

Does this game have a mechanic like Mila's turnwheel in Echoes? I don't give a shit if that's "casual". When someone dies, I'm going to restart the battle no matter what. All that mechanic did was let me start a turn over instead of a whole battle instead, saving me time on something I was going to do anyway. I think Divine Pulse is okay if the uses are very limited. They've made a bigger deal about it precious, so there's a good chance they learned that SoV's 12 charges was absurd. A cap of 3 in hard mode maybe, or perhaps costs resources to restore rather than being automatic.

I basically only want it to fix accidental movement or wait commands. 3 is an acceptable amount of uses

I'm actually kind of hoping to see the mechanic useful for more than just a crutch. It'd be cool if there ended up being some sort of interplay with it. Map gimmicks that like, don't reset with the pulse or something.

I think it's a fine idea of a mechanic. I'll be using it, I just want it to be more balanced than SoV's clear mistake, which I think is totally reasonable to expect. Deciding my own balance rules and setting self-imposed challenges is usually something I leave for second playthroughs unless the mechanic is really, really bad.

SoV had it restore after most battles. In dungeon crawling they didn't restore until you left or reached a safe haven statue but there were still more than enough to go around even in the postgame bonus dungeon.

Using it as you see fit is one thing but if the game intentionally tries to frustrate you with shitty traps or especially heinous STRs, then that's just shitty design. That's unlikely to happen though.
