Kula, Mai and Athena make a decent amount of sense for SNK rep. Maybe Velvet from Tales or Kos-Mos, but still, I don't have high hopes.

Capcom, Morrigan is a decent pick, but going by the logic of Resident Evil, DMC and MH being the most likely (I will also give some credit to Ace Attorney, though I don't see it as likely), I think the Capcom waifus with the best Chance, on their own is Jill, but the most likely scenario may be an Hero case, where we get all, Leon, Chris, Jill and Clare as alts of the same character. I still care about Dark Matter, and I understand why people wants him as well. He plays a huge part in the trilogy, the closest we got to an actual antagonist in the series, and has a cool dark swordsman form. I still prefer Adeleine despite this, but you shouldn't lose hope either.

I see Waluigi more of a semi clone, that takes from both Wario and Luigi, with some dance moves just because.

To be honest, I personally just want him, cause it's that inner part of me that see "here is Mario, Luigi, Wario, blank, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Bowser", the more Mario characters they add, the more his absents bothers me, though, to be honest, in a couple of entries I may feel the same with Pauline... which may make it before Waluigi anyway.

That's not true at all. Bandana Dee is the one hogging the spotlight, but Star Allies exposed many fans to a number of other great contenders.

Because the plant's a meme. It's a joke character where Sakurai quite literally said "Yup, an ACTUAL character." Besides, it was announced after they revealed all the characters, including highly requested characters like Dark Samus or K. Rool, so it feels less of a wasted slot because of it.

The continuous amount of rage and blind ignorance in regards to Dee being in Smash has, at least for me, solidified his position as a never-ever more than ever.

And such.. were all hurdles of the past.. but now, arguably the biggest hurdle that any character could face is Sakurai Bias, the hurdle that not only holds back Dee, but any newer Kirby content from being represented in Smash in a meaningful way. (This hurdle also grants free passes and priority to things that Sakurai DOES like, like Persona 5 + Joker.)

Ado/Marx are fun picks too, but they don't represent the modern era/revival of Kirby quite like Bandana Dee does, nor do they surround themselves with quite as much "YOUR CHARACTER IS NEVER HAPPENING LMAO" fodder as Bandana Dee has suffered through.

As of right now, he's one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, never-ever there is.

As for the other two, I could only guess the only one remaining of the old requests is Geno, and maaaybe either Isaac or Waluigi.

I think Adeleine would be better because the entire concept of her, with her artistic ability, mild personality, and serious limitations in a fighting setting stimulates the imagination a lot more than Dark Matter- and keep in mind, I say that as a HUGE fan of Dark Matter. Adeleine just has a lot of potential to be a really unique kind of fighter. And since Adeleine works so well with the entire cast, I think that makes her a better choice too. She represents Shimomura Kirby's brighter side, while Dark Matter represents the more unsettling aspects.

Adeleine seems to get way more of that than Bandana Dee or Marx. I suppose a lot of people miss the point of the character and her potential. Which isn't surprising, since Shimomura relied on vagueness and subtlety a lot.

Pretty much. Most people see NEVER EVER as a popularity contest, but what it really represents is the beloved characters who are trapped under some seemingly unshakable rule. Bandana Waddle Dee is currently the only character with such a "rule" stuck over his head with Sakurai bias.

Honestly, Ashley will probably get in over 9-Volt but I will always prefer him for his references to past Nintendo consoles as well as possible WarioWare references. I just see Ashley as being too tied to spells and hexes to properly reference WarioWare. 9-Volt could shoot “Smooth Moves” discs out of a Wii, use the power glove and when it hits he could taunt by doing Wario’s victory pose from his tutorial stage boss fight from the original WarioWare, his down smash could be sending a miniature 9-Volt and Fronk on sk8a with his feet like the chicken minigame from the original WarioWare...
9-Volt just presents more fun ideas with paying homage to his series to me...
