This just goes to show what a fucking piece of dogshit tech the 3DS was. That thing was stymieing their creative output like crazy. Granted, they still can't achieve 30 FPS, but it's better than the 30 sometimes 60 sometimes approach of Dark Moon. You don't know how fucking jarring it is to have some moments suddenly escalate to 60 FPS and throw your concentration off. I'll take the 30 FPS if it means consistency. The original was 30 FPS also anyways.

I think basically none of their affiliates are anywhere near the level of GF as far as being inept goes. Intelligent Systems is close, but rather than incompetent, they tend to just be willingly lazy.

Not at all. The 3DS remake of 1 is definitely the more accessible version, the controls are a big clunky compared to Gamecube, but it's a good port. 2 is very different, with objective-based missions for each of the mansions it has, but I still enjoyed it from start to finish. The online is still very active, also, and is extremely fun.

I only ever got to play the first game, but I hear the 2nd game was still pretty good, and with Luigi's changes in Smash, I'm wondering what all's gonna go on in 3. What did I miss as the major draw of 3 in the trailer so far?

The designs are still boring, but the animations and expressions for the generic ghosts are amazing now. Seeing those big guys scratch and claw on the ground to get away from the Poltergust is 10/10.
