Bj as a character worked best when he was completely silent. Allowed the player to be immersed, and in reality, that is all BJ was originally meant to be - a badass American soldier who was doing his job. Notice that when they started adding a personality to him in the 09' version, that's when the series went downhill.

TNO has a surprisingly good story. Shame about the gameplay but that version of BJ was heavy.

Brown-haired, rugged, Clint Eastwood scowling, all-American BJ for the fucking win. Ironically, the other brown-haired BJ from Wolfenstein 09' is my least favorite.

TNO had awesome gameplay

this, he's best when he never says anything more than YEAH!

>Wolfenstein 09' is my least favorite
He did look pretty faggy

Alright lads, post

>Your favorite Wolfenstein game
>Your favorite weapon
>Your favorite map/mission

2009 had nice abilities and super weapons tho-
>spend 90% of the game enveloped in teal and hugging energy hotspots
>needles open world and upgrades
>regenerating HP
>special enemies die instantly if red crystal is used
jesus fuck, why
running around in slowmotion with fire axe was fun

Guess I liked RTCW the best. Wasn't crazy about any of the weapons though.

I definitely don't think 09' was bad at all, I would honestly give it a solid 7, maybe 8. A couple things annoyed me and didn't have that Wolfenstein atmosphere, but I would definitely put it in the underrated category. I just didn't like BJ's design, even when it came out.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is the only good Wolfenstein game.

The problem with the veil is why wouldn't you want to be in it at all times? You pretty much could in any fighting sequence since the pools were everywhere. I liked fucking shit up in slow-mo and all, but it felt kinda cheap to always be in it.

>"Thus we will see the superiority of bullet sponges over flesh and blood"

I played RTCW and it aged like shit.

TNO and old blood BJ is an interesting character. he is basically Marv from sin city but with PTSD from all the stupid nazi shit hes seen in all his years.

Cool jacket though

that's almost every early 2000s fps. i tried replaying no one lives forever again and i forgot just how shitty the stealth is in that game.

>bullet sponges
>when all difficulty levels have the same HP
>when you try and use para rifle that close
>when you ever use para rifle over Mauser
>when you shoot at the enemy who has the high ground and better line of sight
It's like trying to peek that sniper at the airfield, utterly retarded

I really want to try Old Blood, looks like a nice refresh with some elements of the older games mixed in.

it plays about the same as TNO but with less plot and more shooting.

It confuses me when people say it's the worst of nu-Wolf. I loved it.

meant to reply here

its the best wolfenstein game and has the best music

the new colossus is the shitty one. pretty much everyone agrees the first two are good.

>It's like trying to peek that sniper at the airfield
Fun times.

Rtcw, fg42, Chateau

That game was fuggen great.

Why isn't it on Steam?

I like the BJ that literally joins european ISIS cells just so he can personally slaughter white people for the crime of being white.

activision pulled the whole thing from stores cause they canned the MP for it
its on TPB, 7gb
it's not very good unless you enjoy collecta-thon autism and gimmicky stuff
the final boss is pretty fuckin good though, especially compared to rtcw/nuwolf

Go create another Facebook screencap bait thread instead of shitting up this one.

thanks, I liked it back when I got it, I just can't find the disk.

i like that wolfestien was a beloved series until shooting comically evil alternate universe nazis became uncouth

According to activision, Bethesda owns the rights for the entire franchise, including that game. Some dev interview claims that they don't like to include them in their timeline because it's not up to standards, but I think it's a pretty good entry.

The kind of people who feel offended by violence against cartoon nazis don't matter, they just happen to be loud and permanently upset.

>final boss is pretty fuckin good
>use red crystal and beam gun
>aim and shoot when he's not hiding
yeah, better than Heinrich

eh, i enjoyed the multiple phases and the setting i can't tell if you're agreeing with me

It's better than circle-strafing for 2 minutes, but it's still clunky and not exciting.

I understand forest, but the village before Chalet?
Those guys are pretty spread out and alarm buttons are rare.

OG castle wolfenstein

git gud

Paderborn is amazing.

Did BJ even have one line of dialogue in RTCW?

I enjoyed 2009 but I didn't upgrade a single Veil power and I didn't use them much. spent all cash on Frankenguns.

Final boss was tough.

Nope. Only an ending cutscene where BJ is shown smiling while shooting Nazis on vacation
