I really like the web swinging , but it gets old.

The combat allows for a lot of variety and skill, especially on higher difficulties.

It was pretty alright. Wish the gadgets were more like the Arkham games. Having to pause into the weapon wheel during combat really interrupted the flow.

Why does MJ complain that Peter is protecting her when she has literally nothing to bring to the table and is no better than another civilian. The only truly bad parts are the Mary Jane and Miles segments. Not to say Miles was a bad character, he was actually handled well in this game unlike in the comics.

Miles is there to provide the mentor-pupil relationship with Peter as Peter does with Otto. It gives Peter a morale boost to have a true fan genuinely care about his situation, since MJ takes it for granted and the rest of the cast doesn't even know about it.

After watching miles in Spider-man: enter the spiderverse I look at PS4 miles like a bootleg ripoff.
I also hated it when shit writers make us spend 10 minutes with some random character and when they die expect us to care that they were important to someone. Why even kill miles' dad? It didn't feel like it affected miles at all, miles doesn't seem affected by anything, he treats his life like a video game but I don't want that.

You get it as soon as you unlock the ability to change suits. It's like an hour or so in, but it could be longer if you do all the side content as soon as it becomes available.

Certain suits you have to unlock, but the Future Foundation, Fantastic Bag-Man, and the Raimi suit should be free from the start.

Played through it last weekend after getting it on the sale and agree on it being a solid 7/10
On the highest difficulty the combat is actually pretty good, traversal is so fun that the collectathon doesn't become a chore and the story seemed to me like a much better adaption of the comics than recent films (I didn't read too many of the comics though)
Could have done without the Sony trademark cinematic experience. Like everybody seems to agree, MJ and Miles missions were just a slog to get through

She has a sidequest in the game where she talks to you. She never shows up in-game until the DLC, though.

When I got black cats stealth suit I wore that when S.A.B.L.E started hunting me down, since the rest of the missions took place at night and everyone wanted Peter dead it fit the theme.

Also wearing the armour suit looks so fucking good when fighting everyone else.
Also spirit spider is fucking sick beyond words. They blew me away with the suits, feels totally satisfying using them.

It’s sad the only iteration of them kind of ending up together is in the Spider-Man Noir universe and Noir freaking dies

but 98% of the costumes i didnt like, im not some spiderman comic buff, i prolly would have stuck with the default suit(not the one with the white spider) if there was no raimi one for most of the game since the ones i did like were all near endgame unlocks

Miles didn't play a huge part in the story, but I think his inclusion was okay, it's just groundlaying work for the sequel(s)

He already gets spidey-powers by the end of the game and it being mentored by Peter in the DLC

It's a little bad. Just a little though, and also lots of good. I just hated that from the announce trailer you knew who the bad guy was and yet you spend like 75% of the game being like "What villain could possibly be behind this?" Then the Sinister Six show up and it's dope and shits about to get real, but then like the next fucking mission is to immediately start locking them up 2 by 2.

Basically, everything like the towers and side stuff was great because swinging was a blast. It wasn't another shitty Ubisoft flavour where it's just tacked on. Exploring in spiderman is where it's at.

like that stupid remark about how somebody may see his three chest hairs if he doesn't fix the damaged Spidey-suit soon and at the end of the game you see him half naked for a brief moment due to drugs or after unlocking the naked suit and he really only has three chest hairs

those trailers made it seem like Mr. Negative was the main villain but the story is more about Otto and Osborne and Mr Negative is just something that happened due to their shenanigans

From all the villains he is probably the one you spend the most time fighting against, not just himself but also his minions, but he is clearly not the main villain

I personally don't like them because most time i can't find crimes in progress when the map isn't still revealed, and Spidey is supposed to know NY like the back of his hand.

Speaking of random crimes, i wish there were random crimes that were less like random fights with the same dialogues and QTE's and more like side missions, with cutscenes and everything, that they were like those random missions in GTA IV. Those shouldn't happen again after you complete them.

The game needed more rogues as side missions. I loved Taskmaster, Black cat and Tombstone as side shenanigans but there's so much more to give.

I like knowing that Peter's will is so powerful he can resist falling under control from Mr. Negative. Also when he was under the neurotoxin and "scorpion" said "if I was your uncle I'd want to shoot myself!! >:)" And Peter just took it and never lost his cool. Yeah I like what they did with him.

I know, but, when i haven't unlocked them, a crime starts, and because i can't see it in the map, i can't find it, and the in-game map doesn't have the names of the districts the police names on the radio, and i end losing it, being as if Spidey ignored the crime.

I have other autistic complaints like that: i hate that in combat, Spidey does a strong attack only after delivering three light ones, you should be able to pick them manually (tapping square for a light attack, holding it for a strong one); i also don't like the uppercut he does to start aerial combat because i saw a Game Theory video that said that uppercut would be lethal.
