Played the demo and really enjoyed it. Movement and gameplay feel perfect. The crafting system is really fun and, mixed with the Shard system, gives you a lot to do even in that limited demo.
As much as I enjoyed DMC5, I personally anticipate it being my GOTY just because it's so up my alley and this exact kind of Metroidvania hasn't been around for years. We've had similar stuff but nothing with all of the elements of a Castlevania made post-SotN. Can't wait.

Overall consensus I'm seeing is it's pretty much like any other kickstarter for a new game from a classic series / style. You gave money to get a Iga CV and that's what you got. No more, no less. If you're looking for risks and innovation that's not what this is for. Same as Yooka Laylee

That's not a statement that really says anything. Each nonlinear Castlevania game except DoS plays differently and has its own identity. I'm sure Bloodstained has things that will set it apart as well.
