Comfy switch thread
What are you playing and what are you waiting for?
Just got Cadence of Hyrule.
I haven't really been paying any attention to it since it was announced, so I was expecting a reskinned CotN with Zelda sprites and music. But the adventure mode that it has is fucking awesome.
>Cadence of Hyrule.
How is it?
Waiting on Astral Chain, Ultimate Alliance 3 and Daemon x Machina.
I beat Katana Zero recently highly recommend it, I love Hotline Miami and this reminded me of it but perhaps better I'm not sure I'll have to give it a second play-through on hard.
I've got 15 euros on the eshop and like 500 of those gold star things. What should I get?
Started playing Travis Strikes Again, trying to actually finish it so I can properly start Breath of the Wild
I've been playing Hollow Knight, confused, so far all I bought was a Quill and keep dying to the mom fly or whatever its called, and some big dude with a big stick, atleast I saved some worms for free money
I need Blazing Chrome in my life, but fucking Joymasher is having internal issues thanks to shitty management running away with most of their funds.
Use 400 out of the 500 gold points and spend it on Necrodancer
I have MHGU but MHW burnt me out of it so I'm stuck at LR 4 for the foreseeable future. Definitely hyped for RF5
Ports of old games at full price.
Ports of old games at full price.
>playing
Doom (again)
>waiting for
Being poor after I buy every game shown at e3
What about the 15 euros?
playing OG crypt of the necrodancer cause im broke and cant buy the new game. still as fun as ever
saving for Astral chain and RF4S when they come
If you don't have Hollow Knight, get that it's $6.69 euro rn
>tfw too poor to own a switch
be wise and save a bit each month
Smash, BOTW and cuphead.
Picked up botw again after that teaser and I’m determined to finish it. 40 koroks left to max my shield slot and then on to the middle trials and champions ballad.
Next game I buy is probably CTR and the Spyro trilogy on digital. I had high hopes for Pokémon but man E3 really took the wind out of my sails. Astral Chain and Animal Crossing look cool though
Get a job.
It's 7.50 over here. And that Necrodancer game is 4. I could get both and still have 3.50 and all of my gold stars.
The switch is great and all but whoever bought an old port or a high graphical game like the witcher 3 or doom eternal at full price is a dumbass.
Doesn't matter what you say... You are an absolute dumbass for buying an inferior product at full price. It's like everyone else bought a bike, it has everything but then a switch owner buy it at the same price as everyone else but it's missing a wheel.
Don't be a dumbass. Play games made for the switch. Not games like doom or the witcher 3.
Well, I'm playing Smash right now, waiting for Astral Chains
Sell a kidney, easy 100-180 switches right there
Trying to... But at this rate I'll probably get one in a year and half
Have one already
Dragon Quest XI S so I can play the game without shitty MIDI music.
Shut the fuck up nigger, nobody gives a shit about your retarded analogies.
Then go ahead, you'll have 8.50 w/ your points
What’s the appeal of this game? Is the progression similar to any Zelda game. Like you get items that help you progress? Do you level up?
What is it and how much does it pay? It shouldn't be that hard to rack up $300
>8.50
Is there a third game I could get with that or should I just save it? I want to get the most out of this eShop sale.
Can't wait for Fire Emblem and Astral Chain.
Not playing anything right now since we still haven't gotten a single good game in 2019 on any platform
Currently playing: Tales of Vesperia.
Waiting on: Dragon Quest, Ni no Kuni, and Fire emblem.
I've been in a JRPG mood lately. When I'm not, Darkest Dungeon, Zelda, and maybe some Death Road with the wife.
I haven't personally played it, but if it's like Necrodancer, you buy upgrades and things that'll appear on the map. Every time you die, you can spend diamonds that'll help you with your next run. It's kind of like Rogue Legacy, where dying makes you stronger, since you'll know what to do next time you go back in, and you'll have stronger equipment, more health, and better loot in the loot pool
I've given up on waiting for the more powerful model. Astral Chain looks too good, I still need to play BoTW, and the idea of a mobile Cup Head makes my mouth water.
I love my organs user, also in your place it might cost 100-180 but here one cost around 4k. Every month my salary is around 1k... yeah so minus bills and groceries... I can only save a hundred every month. That is if I don't buy games on pc.
need to finish my backlog of 50 Switch games on my 256gb micro sd card.
t. pirate suffering from piracy curse.
There really isnt much that you could get with 8.50, most games worth are $10+, I would just save your points and build them up, you can get free games if you use em
will play DQB2 since no PC announcement
do i need to buy online for it
buddy has online can i do some dealing with him
Nothing right now, could maybe finish getting the rest of the Moons in Odyssey or try and make some progress in Octopath.
Preordered CTR yesterday, can't wait.
Buy into the breach if you like tactics
I'm addicted to the game
Here anonI work as a gas pump attendee. One of those workers that help service has for cars.
Does anyone use a screen protector?
I'm thinking of buying a switch and a capacitive stylus just for Mario Maker, Are protective screens needed?
Xenoblade 2.
I've just started chapter 4 and still have no idea what I'm doing. Rex feels like he does absolutely no damage so I'm pretty sure my AI partners are carrying me.
But hey at least I got Nia two rare blades. One HLR and another ATK.
3rd worlder?
Have you considered stealing one? Just grow out a beard and then shave it after our vice versa. Or pay a drug addict too steal one for you
a new botw playthrough with some restrictions to make the game a bit more challenging. also occasionally touching my DOOM replay whenever i have downtime at work. looking for a new indie or two to grab. dead cells or furi?
mr pirate man, do you only get banned from online play if you run custom code in games? could i have cfw just on the side for pirating and emulation while still buying games and playing them normally without worry of ban?
Screen protectors are a meme for retards in general, so no.
I use the one from game stop and the touch screen still works fine. I would recommend it only because scratching your screen would be fricking annoying
I got one and it works like a phone protector
I would just incase anyone manhandles your switch like a bamboon, it's better safe than sorry.
Playing: Smash sometimes
Have recently played: both Master Blaster Zero games, really liked them
Waiting: Mario Maker, Link's Awakening, BotW 2, Animal Crossing, maybe Astral Chain, and something else I can't remember.
>you can get free games if you use em
Uh yeah, I know.
Pirate fatigue is a bitch
Playing fractured but whole whole laying on the couch with a blanket on
If you go online with any of the games you've pirated. Also there's a chance that Nintendo can see that you've ran unlicensed code and ban you for that. Best thing to do is to use emunand, use 90dns and dump/safely store your prod.info so that they cannot see what your Switch has been playing illegally.
emunand “might” protect you, but cfw or pirated games are an instant ban if you connect to the internet ever in any capacity
>if you like tactics
Not really.
I've got one of those tempered glass protectors, I'd definitely recommend it.
Playing Crypt of the NecroDancer.
Waiting for death.
Yea Forums's idiocy never ceases to amaze. I don't use one because my switch stays docked, but i got one for my son because he takes that shit everywhere and I know his clumsy kid ass would scratch the fuck out of the screen. If I actually took mine places often, I would definitely get one.
>have you considered stealing one?
Too many times to count. But it's not worth risking your life like that for a console.
Been mostly leeching youtubers or sites that give out giveaways for it. But haven't been lucky so far.
Messing with the character creator in Saint's Row: The Third.
Which looks better?
Shit, I got that game on the PC and totally forgot I had it. How does it compare to Stick of Truth? I loved that.
arr rook same
Top, the bottom one's face too wide
uhhhh top i guess
Best thing to do is to get a Switch for piracy and a Switch for playing online.
does that mean only connecting to any online service while running a pirated game or cfw? if my homebrew actions are all totally offline i can keep that completely separate right? i only plan to play legally obtained games online and just use cfw for emulation and offline games since nintendo clearly wont give me n64 or gamecube vc
Currently trying to get a hackable one.
Been going around ebay, found some guy selling a good likely hackable bundle so I asked him whether he'd have the interest to wait a little until I can pay, in return I'd add a little extra.
We'll see how it goes.
using a tempered glass protector and a stylus to make stages in ultimate here. works fine most of the time, but the "gap" between where your stylus is and the in-game cursor can be a lil bit off-putting, at least for me
i just dont want the screen to be scratched by extensive use
Stop spending most of your paycheck on alcohol and drugs. Buy groceries on sale and make them last through the week. Really, that's all it takes.
Just bought Mario Odyssey. Not sure if I should also buy Splatoon 2 since I don't have Switch online.
>FFX on sale is still forty (40) fucking dollars
Kids are retards, I already said it’s a meme for retards. I have an ipad pro, iphone, switch, vita among other things I carry around daily and no scratches on anything because I am not a mongoloid.
Screen protectors are a meme for palsy patients and imbeciles just like phone cases and extra warranties. Yeah, your kid needs one if he’s retarded or a slut getting railed in alleys, but at that point you already fucked up.
splatoon 2 w/o online is boring, don't do it unless you're getting NSO too
Stop trying to be edgy, you're not good at it.
What else is there to play on anything? Seriously every new game this gen has been dogshit
What's a good game to play with my girlfriend who is a noob at video games? Got her into Skyrim, but that's a singleplayer game.
There are so many games I'd like to play. But they never go down in price. I am willing to wait to pay less, but some games still cost 30 USD used after 2 years. What the fuck?
If you use emunand, you are theoretically safe as long as you don’t fuck up and take precautions.
If you ran a cfw once otherwise and have no clean backups, you are fucked.
If you burn any fuses, you are fucked.
Emunand is also only available by paying for piracy right now unless I missed something, and home brew and cfw in general are pretty shit still.
why is nintendo so lazy?
>do you only get banned from online play if you run custom code in games? could i have cfw just on the side for pirating and emulation while still buying games and playing them normally without worry of ban?
That would be a bad idea. Unless you buy SXOS premium and install XCI (cartridge) files, the only way you can play pirated games for now is through NSPs, the format e-shop games use. You will get instantly banned if you don't properly disconnect yourself doing this because your switches console certificate will notice the discrepancy between what you're allowed to download from the e-shop and what you actually have and flag the console. Same goes for homebrew, especially if it crashes and dumps debug info. Nobody really knows if emunand is a be-all-end-all until its out for everyone, so for now basic sense should buy you some time (reroute DNS to somewhere GDPR compliant, turn off crash dumping, backup your clean frequently and properly)
There is nothing edgy about what I said, and if you think sex on hard surfaces isn’t the main reason every 3rd girl is walking around with a cracked screen, you are extremely sheltered and naive, which explains why you fell for the sales pitch.
Switch has been collecting dust for over a year waiting for smm2. Just like the wii u, mario maker will be the only game worth ever playing for either system.
Anons, I've been thinking of homebrewing my switch, thoughts?
Mario Kart, Snipperclips, Shovel Knight, Smash maybe, Pikuniku (I think that's on switch)
Because the one of the left is stolen assists.
>free unreal assets
Probably done in an hour on the engine. Probably downloaded a shitty physics script as well from a forum.
Waiting for:
Bloodstained RotN
Astral Chain
Daemon X Machina
Phantasy Star Online 2
Animal Crossing
Playing:
Tetris 99
Ys 8
Boxboy + Boxgirl is gfkino
So nintendo cant even beat some random people who created some assets in their free time?
bait so shit, it somehow made people fall for it
Any recommended accessories? Just bought one and excited to get playing. Gonna get a tempered glass screen protector
>No download required
>Using a 32gb card
>Still only $60
Nintendo must have given CDPR a deal on the cards.
I agree that only retards need protectors for phones/consoles, but I've seen too many girls break their phone live in front of me because of clumsiness and/or their shabby finger nails. It's ludicrous.
I think CDPR eats the extra costs because it's already an old game. Also the memory prices have alleviated somewhat over the last 3 months.
Got Hollow Knight on sale its cute and comfy af but I really suck at it. I just lost 1200 currency trying to get back to my corpse in a new level I probably wasn't ready to enter yet. My boomer reflexes might prevent me from beating the game but its still fun and cute.
Waiting for pokemon sword/shield and (if it seems to be good) fire emblem 3H.
Hey that's pretty good. Things are looking up for ports at least. Maybe Doom will go the same route.
What area are you at?
>60$
Jesus why? But mostly why are anons gonna buy this? Game is literally on 20 bucks on most platforms now.
Some bubbly area with jellyfish. I got BTFO on the first screen of it.
This, and be smart about where you buy. I only buy the 2 for 1 things at my publix and my meats I get at some mickey mouse Hispanic grocery. Yeah I might get some parasites but when its 3 bucks for a pounds of chicken breast. Cant complain
I bought the switch today with BOTW and Smash. Very exciting!
i cant see anyone buy this, really. most switch owners also have a decent PC, and the "portability" meme just doesnt work with a game this hardware intensive
the wonderful thing about hollow knight is you can go through the game in any order, as long as you arent progression blocked (ala required item/skill to pass). have fun user
havent really played switch lately but probably going to fall for mario maker
Do you know how much 32gb cards cost?
i want dq11s and mario maker, should I get the tickets for them?
But muh portability
I don't drink or do drugs, it's not really easy when you have a family to take care off.
well, its better to just ignore those long jellyfishes and only wack the small ones for soul/opening space. those fucks arent a joke
I don't get why nintendo shit costs so much
I got FFX/X2 remaster on PS4 for 20 dollars over a year ago
Reminder that Torna is on sale and comes with all content from the Xenoblade 2 expansion pass. If you liked Xenoblade 2 even a little, you should get it.
Currently playing Slay the Spire, it's good but IT JUST KEEPS CRASHING. Thankfully it auto-saves consistently before and after every battle but still, they have to fix that shit.
Really, really looking forward to Astral Chain. They had me at Platinum game where you're a police officer. On a lesser extent, also looking forward to Daemon X Machina. Those are the two games I'll use my voucher toward. Also cautiously optimistic about BotW2, even if that's probably very far away. Wonder if it'll come out before Metroid Prime 4?
Get Hollow Knight, best quality/price ratio on the Switch right now.
People told me not to buy Smash because it has poor netcode, is this still the case?
Learn how to quote, dude.
I've been playing Valkyria Chronicles 1 every night, and so far it's great. The games I'm currently waiting for are Link's Awakening, Astral Chain, DQ11S, physical Mana Collection and Trials of Mana remake, FE:3H, and Luigi's Mansion 3
>Rex feels like he does absolutely no damage
When's the last time you've changed your Core Chips on your Blades? Remember to sort them by weapon level to have the best ones on top.
not perfect but better than at launch, totally fine
Every time I'm in a new settlement I'm buying up the best ones and applying those.
Would you say BotW + a pro controller for 75 euros ($85) is a good deal?
Fuck, I might actually get it now, that’s extremely good.
Because I can.
Currently playing botw and wondering if I'm ever going to finish it, this game just has soooo much stuff to do!
(I also haven't played many games since like 2004, so to me this seems revolutionary)
All the best for you user, I hope you get a raise or some stroke of luck that will allow you to afford a switch.
Some of my friends in Russia earn between 300-500€ and they somehow make it work, so you could have it worse with your 1000€.
Chap 4 is the Uraya titan right? yeah that part is weirdly rough. just weather through it tb h, or grind out those Pyra circles
I’m finally playing through the botw DLC. That spike shrine in champions ballad was cruel and trial of the sword has been even crueler. I think I’m going to try that clipping trick with the shield surfing
Then make sure you're properly cancelling your auto-attacks and using Fusion Combos (Break-Topple-Launch-Smash + Special combo). Nothing much more you can do to maximize damage output outside of maybe revising your aux cores, accessories and pouch items.
If you haven't already, try and aim to unlock the affinity chart node that allows Drivers to cancel Arts into other Arts, doing so dramatically speeds up Special build-up, especially when you then cancel into Blade Switches.
>Torna is 27
>Pass is 30, full price, no sale
what the actual fuck. i know Torna is supposedly expensive cause its a standalone, and the pass is essential a price reduction for people who alr own the OG, but this is absurd
Yes.
Chapter 3 is Uraya, Chapter 4 is Filler Hell/Mor Ardain.
absolutely. they cost like 120$ total over here
Yes, a 60 dollar game with a 50 dollar controller for 85 is a good deal, provided they're new and not used.
I'm going to get it because I don't play PC games since fuck digital only and all the DRM attached.
This port is designed specifically for people like me and it would be rude not to take up the offer.
4 is Mor Ardain, and that's the one odd one out chapter.
Consider looking up what chips drops for you.
Also, if you can, look for the hornet nests in Uraya, the hornets there give you some good chip drops.
then Mythra and Roc are readily used alr. just find a generic axe blade and do the break (with Nia) - Topple (pyra) - launch (Roc) - smash (generic axe. rare axe if applicable)
They're used but advertised as "as new".
I'll probably get Zelda, but I was wondering whether I shouldn't get an adapter to use my PS4 controller instead of getting a Pro.
Thanks user, I won't give up yet and will try my best. I'll be honest seeing all these games and other anons playing talking about them is painful. But these kind of words of encouragement really do help.
The axe launches, the scythes smashes.
I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 at the moment. I don't regret buying it but the combat gets repetitive, the story and characters are pretty shit and the sidequests are really dull.
Finally got into Hollow Knight after owning it for a year. Bretty good so far.
Astral Chain is looking real good especially when the dev was fighting that humanoid boss. May actually be a decent action game and not whatever Automata was.
Holy shit I'm crying, genius song
Still playing odyssey, nearing 4000 moons. I can't stop bros.
ah yeah, my bad. far too long since i played it alr
Alright, thanks for the advice. Saving that pic too. More useful for me than the entireity of the tutorials imo
cuphead or FF7
Any list of games that I should buy imported like Final Fantasy X-X2 and Rockman X Collection 2?
Set aside $100 every paycheck. You can also wait until Christmas. Consoles usually get special price drops during the holidays.
Is FE: Warriors half decent or is it a skip?
Its good if you like musou games and fateswakening FE games
Someone wants to play USF2 with me ? please ? ;_;
monster hunter GU
waiting for Mario Maker 2, Zelda
Playing through the mana series then I’m gonna beat every final fantasy
Just got Mario Odyssey since it was only $40 and still getting used to it. My brain keeps reverting back to Mario 64, but whenever I finish that I'll pull the trigger and get Mario Maker 2 which I'm more excited for.
>Playing
Splatoon, duh
>Waiting for
Animal Crossing and not Pokemon
its... decent. but if you want a nintendo musou, Zelda is much, much better
Yeah, me as well. I was stupid enough to get burned bad on both XY and SM. Now I'm much more cautious and nothing they've shown about Sword and Shield sound exciting. I'll stick to romhacks or the DS games.
>Playing
Dragon's dogma, Smash and MHGU
>Waiting for
Spyro, Astral chain, Dragon quest 11 and the vvitcher
...how?
Then again I have nearly 700 hours in BotW so I can't judge.
Is splatoon worth getting into now? they are doing the last fest right?
>Pokemon
yeah, i've been just, waiting a year to get the obligatory difficulty up hack of gen 6/7, and enjoy it for a couple of playthrough
>what are you waiting for?
bigger joycons youtube.com
i dont like how small it feels. Smaller then the wii mote and the ps3/ps4 controllers.
Splatoon is a one of a kind game that will stay populated until the next version comes out. You can even still quickly find full lobbies on the Wii U. Popularity doesn't depend on new content and Splatfests ending. Given the Animal Crossing delay, I don't see a sequel coming for several years, so it will stay populated.
Not too familiar with the concept of Splatfest, but why can't they just cycle the ones they've already done again?
katana zero is the best indie game I've played since minecraft used to be indie
>Playing
Hollow Knight. It sucked me in very quickly. Loving it so far.
>waiting
Animal crossing
so its evergreen like monhun then, nice
cheer user
Nothing
No games as always. Truly the most comfy comfy comfy comfy
Katana Zero is possibly the best indie game I have ever played.
I hope that the update dealing with the massive "to be continued" is free
>January 2017:announcement
>October 2017: in game- cutscene trailer
>2018: Nothing
>2019: Nothing
It's the only switch game that was announced near launch of the console that hasn't come out yet.
Anybody recommend Golf Story? It looks pretty cute.
I need to keep her safe...
The dlc better tie up all the loose ends in the story
at least your game isnt only a (blank) logo user, be possitive
>you can only report someone if you've played a splatoon 2 match with them
this is ridiculous
nintendo should just give up on online and use the money they collect for it to pay microsoft to use xbox live infrastructure
highly recommend, one of the comfiest games I've ever played. just cute and silly
At least the Doraemon crossover looks good and is releasing outside Japan.
I still don't know if I want it though, never watched the show so I don't have an attachment to any of these characters.
Why the fuck would you report someone?
Thanks user, I'll pick it up
Stick of truth
I've fractured but whole on my switch too but will only start it when i'm done with SoT
i'm really itching for some JRPG on the switch
FFVII cause why not
Is Cadence of Hyrule worth £22.50?
So if I buy Torna at $30, I can save $3 on the season pass and not miss any content?
its a mini-SoS if the japanese's twitter info is anything to go by
>no marriage. still has villagers' friendship
>Doraemon gadgets
>beautiful and comfy artstyle
its a surprisingly decent Doraemon game (made by Brownie, the people behind Fantasy life), and appeal to me greatly cause i grew up with Doraemon. Shame it might be released really close to RF4S, and im grabbing RF alr
or maybe i'll just take both if the pricing is reasonable
What a blueballs "ending" though...wish they mentioned it before i pirated it baka
Anyone need help hacking their switch?
Want some recommended homebrew to play with?
I just bought the all female SNK Tag fighter
I have no idea how to play this tho
yeah, Torna has everything the pass has. its just 10usd more expensive normally since you can play Torna without the base game
Ofc expansion stuffs still require the OG game to be played
Playing: Smash and Mario Kart 8
Waiting for: Dragon Quest Builders 2, Dragon Quest XI S and Hero in Smash
I wanted Nintendo to put an option to remap the buttons on Tetris99. I have a HoriPokkén and its d-pad is great, but since there are no analog sticks I can not change my targets.
I wanted to understand the game designers who do not think it necessary to put a button mapping on their fucking games.
That includes the hard mode and bonus blades and stuff for the main game? Sorry, I just want to be sure.
I will, if GameFreak doesn't pull their heads out of their asses. I want to play Pokemon but fuck giving them any money.
Are there any easy to follow guides like for 3DS now?
Playing Romancing SaGa 2.
My friend sent me a code for The Last Remnant and I can't download it because I get this error. Anyone knows how to fix it?
I want Wind Waker and Twilight princess HD collection on switch already!
Miami?
Just got Smash Bros Ultimate and I'm having a good time. Last one I played was Brawl and I really like what they did to Adventure mode, but would prefer if you could unlock characters faster.
I'll probably get Astral Chain when it releases.
You know full well they'll sell them separately and at full price.
Playing Breath of the Wild after that trailer. Actually, I never finished Breath of the Wild, this is my third time starting it up and playing.
First time I rushed it and I caught myself doing that and started over a bit later. Second time I tried playing it like a completionist and it burned me out and I stopped. Now I'm just playing it like it's an adventure an I'm trying to just see where the world takes me and I'm having a ton of fun. Also just bought FF7 since it is on sale, never finished that one either.
I'm looking forward to quite a bit of games on the switch actually, and I really haven't used my switch a lot since release so I'm excited.
>No More Heroes 3
>Breath of the Wild Sequel
>Shin Megami Tensei V
>Astral Chain
>Bayonetta 3
>Trials of Mana
>DQ11 Definitive Edition S
>Link's Awakening
>Metroid Prime 4
>Maybe Daemon X Machina
afaik, yes
nintendo.com
>Does not include the main Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game.
>Both the retail and digital editions contain a download code for packs 1-4 of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Expansion Pass. Expansion Pass only playable with the main Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game (sold separately).
Alright Jeez, I'll buy it then.
FFFFFFFF I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY ASTRAL CHAIN
Yep
Splatoon and NecroDancer.
Might try to finish Zelda BotW since i stop playing when i lost my savedata last year.
Buy Ape Out next
Anyone here ever finished the Trials of the Sword in Master Mode? I'm feeling like a complete shitter. Can't even finish the beginner trials.
Any bundles? Looking to buy one again
>Katamari Damacy Reroll Physical
>Okami Physical
May I just say how based you are sir, very based.
Have you played Octopath or Disgaea 5? I enjoyed both of them a lot.
Yes, if you want a guide just look up /hbg/ on vg and check the OP. Hacking the switch is much easier than the 3DS ever was. You need jig though. Your options are to either buy one for 10 bucks with free shipping (the safest option) or fashion one yourself with a paper clip or piece of tin foil. You have to force the Switch into entering RCM mode by connecting two specific pins on the right joy con slot. And that's it. If you have all the files you need on the SD card, you send your payload to the Switch and it's hacked. Speaking of which, you need a usb-c cable to do that but if you don't have one of those laying around already I'd be surprised. Most android phones use usb-c cables these days and those work fine.
How do I start doing the DLC season pass content in Breath of the Wild? Does it just pop up after I complete the main story?
Do it like a man, user.
Pretty sure you only need to do all four four divine beasts to unlock the story dlc and the rest should be available already.
Thanks. How safe is it now, though? Obviously I won't be playing games online, but could they still detect me somehow and ban me? I have an online family pack subscription, and the others sharing it with me won't be very happy if it stops working.
NINTENDO
Just beat Cadence of Hyrule was a blast glad Nintendo allowed this to be made and I hope they let more indie devs use their ip’s anyway I think I’m gonna buy slay the spire or maybe a game on sale I have 25$ on my eshop
If you hack the Switch, you can't go online with that specific Switch. The only way to connect is to use a dns, like 90dns. 90dns blocks all connection and data transfers to nintendo servers. That way you can still use things like lan play spoofing and FTP. And unless you want to pay for SXOS, you need to wait for free emunand. When that comes out, you'll be able to play your legit shit online on the sysnand and use the emunand for pirating and homebrew while staying offline.
In terms of how safe it is, the only risk is blowing your pins on the switch (which would cause the right joy con have connection problems). Which can be easily averted if you buy a reliable jig for a measly 10 bucks. There is a fool proof one listed in the /vg/ guide. I used the same one on my Switch and it worked on the first try right out of the package. Can recommend. Do not try to find a cheaper one on ebay.
Bought used Mario Odyssey and the poor fuck didn't claim the reward. Only played the first level but I can tell there's a lot of stuff to collect so I'm pretty satisfied.
>Playing
MHGU, Splatoon 2
>Waiting
Astral Chain, Skullgirls
Well, I'm not going to be doing it soon, so hopefully by the time pokemon releases there's emunand. And yeah, I'm probably going to get a jig, I'm not risking fucking up my Switch with my butter fingers.
Why did you get one then?
>their talent for gameplay with adult themes.
Ain't that some sour grapes.
>nothing
>switch mini
When is it coming out?
>But at this rate I'll probably get one in a year and half
Great, you'll get it just in time for all the shit announced on e3 to be out
2020
Who said I bought one? Imagine being over thirteen and owning a switch lmao.
Then what are you doing in this thread?
Not sure, bu.t I think you need to be in the same region for the code to work.
So if your friend got it from your region, but your eshop is set to another to save money, you might need to switch to download.
Not sure if that’s it, I had some trouble with a code before, but I forgot what it was.
Why are you responding to obvious shitposter who doesn't even own Switch?
(but he will reply to me and post a pic he found on the internet with "his" Switch)
is it out yet?
I'm greatly enjoying 2k19 NBA in bed
>the wife.
fuck off leddit
Because I want to see how aggressive he gets.
Are you me?just finished sot and downloaded fractured and started it. Besides that, got the messenger, okami, and octopath to go through
Nope. Am from EU, shop is set to EU, and he's 100% sure code is for EU.
Get the pro controller. I got one refurbished and I use it for everything including Steam games.
Just buy more money lol
looking for a non-patched refurbished switch after this direct
Playing azure striker gunvolt pack, currently replaying the first level of the first game over and over to get the maximum score.
Waiting for pic related.
no otherwise I would be playing it right now. What a great game, I can't wait.
I've been going through the Mana collection right now. That was my first time playing FFA and I really enjoyed it. Waiting for a huge amount of games right now but the closest are MM2 and CTR.
How much weebshit is there currently for the Switch? I'm thinking of buying one. Haven't bought a Nintendo console since the Gamecube so ports and stuff from the Wii and Wii U would count if there is stuff like that.
I have one, it’s p great
lads
when daemon x machina comes out, would you guys like to play together and do co-op missions between Yea Forumsros ?
There's plenty of weebshit but a lot of it is also available on other platforms.
Whomever did that pic, did it exactly to trigger my autism.
Maybe. I doubt it could be arranged considering even Yea Forumskends are dead.
Not massive Vita levels but it's getting there. Also, most stuff is multiplatform.
Weebshit meaning what? It’s getting vns steadily, but they’re fucking expensive. Plenty of jrpgs.
Are there difficulty settings? The 4 man from treehouse just raped everything, and they’re not exactly the best mankind has to offer in vidya skill.
looking forward to pvp shenanigans though
There's a shitload since the Switch is taking over the place of the Vita. You should absolutely get Xenoblade 2.
I don't actually have a PS4, I just have a controller to use with PC games. I suppose I can sell it and use a Pro instead. Is the Pro really that good? I remember hearing something about the dpad not being that great.
Yeah, you probably don’t want to play botw without gyro.
Not sure if the ds4 gyro is compatible.
I actually enjoy playing BotW with the Joycons instead of the Pro Controller.
That’s how I’m used to playing since I play exclusively in handheld mode
Playering Team Sanic Racing. It's a competent cart racer.
Waiting for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Honestly the joycons are pretty good in the grip for me, too bad it kinda cancels out the HD rumble.
I never use the grip. Detached Joycons are the comfiest way for me to play. They're perfectly sized for my hands and I love it.
Any comfy JRPG recommendations? I want something with plenty of endgame content/optional bosses to chip through. Already played through every FF game available (including World), Vesperia and Xenoblade. Last Remnant looks cool but I don't like the idea of the battle rank enemy scaling (same with Romancing Saga 2).
They’re alright if you don’t need the dpad or the right stick much, but they’re a bit painful otherwise.
Also, gyro aiming is much tighter for me with the grip.
They’re great for playing in some retarded pose or hugging the back of the couch, though.
Currently just playing Diablo 3 while I chill late on weekends.
Waiting for Dauntless, AC, DQB2 and Empire of Sin.
>They’re great for playing in some retarded pose or hugging the back of the couch, though.
That's part of why I love them so much. And most games I play with them don't really require the d-pad. I prefer the Pro Controller for some games though, like Smash.
switch chads Im kinda new to this handheld
Ive seen some accessory posted a couple of times but I never looked into it
I want to describe them as joycon placeholder tabs but I cant find them
ive drawn an approximation in paint
please and thank you for your assistance
Get the Octopath and Disgaea 5 demos and see if you like them.
The Lost Child
You will "love" bonus dungeon, especially if you play on hard (difficulty can be changed after tutorial battles).
That’s the jig for hacking. Only used once
I guess there will be some difficulty settings...
They probably played on an easier difficulty level for the Treehouse
I will be buying a Nintendo Switch in July.
>Owned
Resident Evil Revelations Collection (bought it when it came out because exclusive content and wanted it in my RE collection)
>Want
Dragon Quest XI S and Builders 1+2, as well as any other ports coming.
Mario Odyssey
Smash Ultimate
Breath of the Wild, Link's Awakening and the BotW sequel
Hyrule Warriors
Every RE port that gets released (where my GCN ports at Capcom)
Disgaea has a shitload of content, but I don’t know about comfy.
Octo is pretty comfy and has content.
then there’s stuff I haven’t played but wishlisted like the 4 mercenaries games, Ys, Caligula, Setsuna, lapis labyrinth, none of which I can speak for.
Also, you’re an absolute madman if you finished every FF on switch since they came out.
That’s just a jig to hack the old units, you can’t use it on new units.
Setsuna is alright. Nothing special but also not that bad. I think it's on sale right now actually.
Revelations are fucking great, and the HD rumble implementation is pretty nice.
How's MHGU single player? Can you do all the content solo?
Yep, absolutely. I beat all main game content solo. It'll keep you busy for 200ish hours just to see the ending.
I wanna buy a switch
But that price tag, plus every game being 50 dollars, plus the fact that theres so many good PC games coming out next year and I wanna upgrade before then.
I want my nostalgia but I also want to upgrade my PC and play Cyberpunk and Doom
Switch with pro controller, 200GB SD card, and screen protector is coming tomorrow. Any other essentials should I get?
just finished cadence of hyrule, didn't rush it so it took me like 8 to 9h. My main complain is that it's really easy, sure you can set double speed, but the tempo just stays kinda the same during the whole game
You should be sorted. i'd recommend a flip grip and a pokken controller too since it's cheap and has a 10/10 dpad, but it's not essential by any means. Time to start buying games.
Sweet, going to get it then since it's £25 now.
The good thing about the Switch is that the eShop has surprisingly good deals for a Nintendo console. You don't have to pay full price almost ever.
If I hack my old Switch will I be able to browse the internet or watch youtube videos?
Or is it a forever airplane mode console after that? I don't care about online play or the e-shop, just a light bit of web surfing.
Before you start the game, head to the DLC menu and claim everything (it's all free). Then head to your house and talk to the cat to claim it. You'll get a bunch of potions and other things to help make the early game a little smoother.
How expensive are games on the eShop in your regions? Games like BotW and Smash are ridiculously expensive if you get them directly on the eShop here, which is kind of confusing.
Playing FFVII and waiting for Astral chain
There are pretty good deals often enough if you buy digital.
Cheers for heads up.
Never buy it digital if you can find a physical. 9 out of 10 its always cheaper to get it physical. Only flaw is not getting much coins
As someone who has a Wii U and many games on there
Convince me why I should buy a Switch
I'm thinking about picking up Hyrule Warriors while it's on sale. Is it worth $40?
esho.pw
South Africa was the master race, but Nintendo raised first party prices recently because apparently the economy is stellar.
>Playing
Smash. God damn I hate actually trying to play this game competitively, I think I'll stick to couch coop.
>Waiting for
Mario Maker 2, Crash Cart and Animal Crossing.
>grey joycons
>odyssey
I still regret not getting the red ones.
I always go for the cheaper option, I just wonder if games on the eShop are that overpriced everywhere else too.
On my eshop Zelda is fucking 80$US for some reason while even other 1st party games like Mario Odyssey are around 70
You can play fortnite on the toilet with it which is convenient, because that where you'll want to toss the console after playing such a shit game
>STILL no W101 port
Just shell swap that shit dude
Fuuck bros I loved DQXI but I really cant justify buying the deluxe version so soon, are there any DQ games you’d recommend (besides the 3ds remakes because I cannot stand the screen and audio on that thing) i’ve heard something about fan translations of 3 or 5 idk
4/5/6 on DS are great.
playing Dragon Marked for Death right now, waiting for Astral Chain
Not playing anything right now, just not in the mood. Am looking forward to Mario Maker, Astral Chain, The Witcher 3 (I can stick to games when they're portable and I can just boot them up), the new Yooka Laylee, and some other stuff.
Its a good year for me.
Anyone here has any experience with those Dbrand skins for the joy cons ?
On mine it's 90 bucks, even though the standard price for games like that is 70.
I was thinking of buying them for my Switch. Anyone here had any problems with them ?
>(I can stick to games when they're portable and I can just boot them up)
This. Also, W3 being 100% physical is too good to pass up.
I'm from Croatia, EU. Nintendo isn't popular here (mostly PS4 and FIFA fags) and physical games are... Not common, so I am forced to buy from eShop.
Price depends on game, of course. Nintendo's games are 60 euros and rarely go on sale, maybe 3 times a year. The most expensive game I bought on eShop was Chocobo Dungeon (40 euros on day 1), followed by Xeno2 DLC (30 euros, I think), and few games around 20. Everything else was below (and waaaay below) 20 euros. You just need to keep eye on sales, not buying games on day 1 if you don't plan on playing them ASAP (some of them go on a sale just 2-3 months after their release) and see if certain publishers give you a discount if you have some of their games. I bought Robonauts for 0,99 eurodollars during one sale, have absolutely no intentions of playing it, but oh boy, it saved me some money! (discounts here and there)
Might pick up Okami again after I took a break, what's the best way to catch up on everything like the objectives and stuff? Looking forward to My Friend Pedro and MM2
There’s a 25 euro difference between the extreme regions for botw.
it's coming
amazon is your friend brate
My country barely has a Eshop.
I just use a Cannadian Account because you can pay with an international credit card from wherever in the world there.
Got Smash and Breath in of the wild.
Waiting for Fire Emblem. The game drought is real, this fucking console has no games.
>It takes three years to port over a simple game like W101
Its dead, Jim.
I feel like there are no good games to play right now. 2019 has been roooough so far, and not a lot of hope for it to pick up.
Eh, I rarely buy physical stuff online. The only thing I bought (online) was Trump's hoodie, lol.
The game honestly seems way too hard to keep in sync with the beat while at the same time being really careful on where to step and getting the timing right to attack. Just looks super stressful instead of comfy grooving. Am I just retarded?
Cadence of Hyrule, and I'm thinking of shooting myself and get the mana collection.
It's actually great. I like how they have both rythm as an option and the ability to turn it off if you just want to play a Zelda game.
Jebote, htio sam uzeti Tangledeep (obožavam roguelike i roguelite igre). Steam verzija cirka 5 eura na Steamu, a 13 ns Switchu. WTF?
>Cadence of Hyrule
>When Anita helped make Crypt of the Necro-dancer
Y I K E S
And?
who?
user, it's never about the cost of actually doing it, but of putting it in a timeslot. Nintendo seldom puts two ports to release together, and right now Mario Maker 2 (I know I know) hasn't yet released. Same with Astral Chain and Bayo3.
What?
Gonna play Splatfest tonight
Waiting for the FF8 remaster
Anita Sarkeeeesian?
You know that Yea Forums made her famous? Just because people couldn't ignore her.
Should I get this?
work on your english, pablo.
If you actually, 100% give money to people like her and don't see a problem, I don't know what to tell you.
>helped
lmao nope
>playing
Labyrinth of Refrain
>waiting
Fire Emblem Three Houses next month
We consume daily items made or allowed being developed by bad people daily. So why should I care this time? Because of your pitiful spite?
I only care about the quality of the product, I don't have time to look into the personal lives of every single person who worked on every game.
Yea anyone who paid 60 for doom was stupid got it for 12.
>We consume daily items made or allowed being developed by bad people daily.
Who's "We?" Stop projecting yourself onto others.
>I can't do the tiniest bit of research
Does anyone have this game? It caught my attention some time ago. Is it any good?
What do you mean by this?
It'll be on sale before a year. It's fine to pay for SNES games, specially retranslated ones, but 40 bucks is insane.
Yes, it's a great remaster.
>Who's "We?" Stop projecting yourself onto others.
You're the one telling me what to do. Will you tell germans to stop driving on most Autobahns just because Hitler and the Nazis expanded them?
Is Terraria on the switch yet? if yes, does it get updates like PC does?
Yeah, 40 bucks is a lot even if it is a newly translated item in it.
Not on Switch yet.
This year.
I've heard horror stories about the code behind the game and the effort that means translating it.
Along with Adventure and Secret I'd $40 is worth it. The games are great.
Top it is.
How is Skyrim on Switch? I was thinking about picking up Morrowind on PC, but since Skyrim is on sale I might pick it up. I know I beat the main story on PC and messed around with mods, so I got all the depravity out of my system.
Finally decided to buy myself a Switch, already ordered a BotW bundle and will pick it up tomorrow. After this E3, Nintendo showed me that they became a new hub for weeb vidya, and I'll stick with them.
Should I buy Super Mario Odyssey first?
I don't recall ever telling you what your degenerate self should, and shouldn't buy.
Literally hundreds of people work on AAA games like GTA. Do you really expect every one of those people to fit your standards? You only see what people want you to see.
I might consider it.
Okay, I don't give a shit if your boogeyman Anita Sarkeesian helped making the game. Both are great and you're missing out.
playing FF7
Comfy AF
Decent Roguelite, especially if you like anime style.
It's good if you like the game. If you play long periods of time you'll get sound bugs and "absences" but nothing other releases of the game don't have due to poor coding. It's a fucking bad game though, soul sucking.
I'm sorry you have such low standards then.
>Both are great and you're missing out.
See above.
Unless you're a mod fag, it's good.
You don't have to be.
I'm emulating Pokeon: Explorers of Sky while I wait for MM2 to come out in a few days. I bought DOOM, but it was way blurrier than I thought it would look and I just hate it
Sorry user. I prioritize my values over buying games, as fun as they might be.
PC is better, but only because of the modding ability.
>I'm emulating Pokeon: Explorers of Sky
Oh, didn't think we would get to DS emulation. How's it?
why are you being a bitch about it?
Handheld or docked?
If your tv is big, yeah, it’s blurry. Handheld or monitor is alright.
You do so.
Oh quit it already, stop shitting up the thread.
First, please use weeaboo correctly.
This is what it is, the fact it's decayed even worse to mean the Japanese themselves is extremely bad.
Next, what sort of games do you like?
'Cause when people look you actually buy these games, they make other games, and the industry, worse as a whole. That's why.
as someone who didn't ever play crypt of the necrodancer, i was struggling with cadence for a half hour or so until i wrapped my head around it. once you get into the rhythm it's a great time
Who's considering picking up Dead By Daylight here ?
But at the same time, if they do they don't have to go after other franchises because they have their own shit.
>But at the same time, if they do they don't have to go after other franchises because they have their own shit.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Have you been living under a rock? They do that anyways.
There is quite literally nothing wrong with the game on any level, so I don’t see why that’s a problem. And this is the woman who spoke about vidya to the UN, I doubt buying a game she “helped with” is going to give her any influence.
Now fuck off.
Fuck off
No, but they those games are still few as fuck.
But either way, Cadence of Hyrule is extremely good, and gives that A Link to the Past/Link's Awakening feel if you turn of the rhythm function.
Is it actually designed? My main gripe with the original game is that it's generated.
It is designed, at least when you start a new game. I haven't tried making a new one and see if it is roguelike generated. But the only thing I can imagine are randomly generated are the chests, otherwise key items, areas and such should always be the same.
When I say "weeb games", I mean "games weebs like", not "games weebs make". It's just a joke.
>Next, what sort of games do you like?
I love rhythm games, action games (like whatever Platinum makes), platformers, RPGs, and so on. The only stuff I really don't like are turn-based strategies, I'm too much of a brainlet for them. I would've bought Bayo 2, but I owned it on the Wii U, so SMO sounds like the next best thing.
>and the ability to turn it off if you just want to play a Zelda game.
they should advertise this. i'm playing it now.
Is The Last Remnant enjoyable without needing guides? I've heard battle rank is pretty tedious. I want to just play through at my own pace while still having endgame optional stuff available. LMK about romancing saga 2 as well since it also has enemy scaling.
I think they mentioned it during E3, but I'm not sure.
W101 and Xenoblade X are still the only two worthwhile Wii U exclusives, that hasn't changed since both the games' launch.
Fatal Frame was pretty good.
I L O V E D the game play. But man I couldn't give one single fuck about the story. And I'm usually here for story in games. But man just every time a cutscene came around it just lasted way too long.
Really strong in every other way though
£30 for Resident Evil 4 on the e-shop.
Worth it? (I've played it once before, about 14 years ago on the GC)
If you leave your house with your Switch, sure. Otherwise, just get it on Steam.
>No gyro aiming
Might as well just emulate it on Dolphin at this point.
Mario Kart and the joycon grips
For cheap pieces of plastic these things are honestly 10/10
Fitness boxing is unironically great if you like rhythm games, and it comes with jap audio which I’m told features some top-tier VAs, and you can dress up your trainer.
Wait for Resident Evil 5 which is coming to the e-shop soon according to the most recent Nintendo direct.
It has superior waifus compared with RE4.
Got to gerudo village in BoTW yesterday after starting my playthrough after the sequels announcement. I was a tad disappointed by BoTW at first but it's warming up to me.
With Romancing Saga 2 it's pretty easy to miss stuff but you really shouldn't use guides (the english ones are terrible and have lots of misinformation). If anything, you can ask for help if you hit a roadblock in /vr/. You have to take into account that you will not see everything in a single playthrough (or that you won't be able to play it through at the first try) and that you have to be very attentive as to how the game functions. It's not just level scaling, the game has hidden mechanics fucking everywhere, and it will fuck you over if you don't pay attention. With the enemy scaling, remember that if you beat enemies normally, the game won't punish you, it's specifically if you go after shit mobs to level up and you fuck up the level/number of battles ratio. Remember to regularly use magic, also, this is pretty important since learning magic depends on actually leveling it up by using it. The new version of RS2 also has a very nice system of NG+.
As for LR, I haven't played yet, but I've heard the Switch version is a bit softened and that it's not nearly as punishing or hard as RS2 can be (again, these games are based on replays), and that most of the complains and exaggerations come from people not really accustomed to this kinda gameplay. Unless you're the kinda people that has to grind to get through anything and can't deal with games through their mechanics, you shouldn't have problems. So I've heard.
Remember to read the manuals. Always read the manuals.
All the RE ports will be hitting 10 bucks by Christmas.
Switching between Secret of Mana on the Mana Collection and Doom. Yes Doom is an inferior port, but I got it for mad cheap and it still plays real well. Pumped for Doom Eternal.
Really looking forward to a lot of stuff coming out, Astral Chain, Fire Emblem, FF8, Links Awakening, and MAYBE DQXI. I dropped it on PS4 because the soundtrack was just SO bad. I know it's getting a full orchestration for Switch but man I don't know if that'll be enough to save it for me
help me, i've been wanting to play BOTW again lately, but I have so much other shit I could be playing that I haven't beaten before
>All the RE ports will be hitting 10 bucks by Christmas.
I fucking hope so, I want them all. Revelations gets pretty good discounts often and the ports are 3 times better than the new ones.
>Playing
Cadence of Hyrule, I just beated the second dungeon. Also Smahs from time to time.
>Waiting
Mostly Luigi's Mansion 3, though I would love some recommendations of exclusive eShop games
>spoiler
Nigga, I have only actually finished 2 “big” games and like 3 indies, I keep switching between games and have at least 5 games with over 100 hours each. I bought golf story and a bunch of other stuff a year ago and haven’t even started them yet.
give it to me
Good afternoon, gentlemen. I read on facebook that nintendo is releasing a "hardcore" switch that just basically has better specs. True or bullshit? I'm thinking about purchasing a switch, but will wait if there's a better one coming out.
>Playing
Mana Collection, and Captain Toad with my girlfriend. Will play Last Remnant next.
>Waiting for
DQXI and FFVIIi. I'm glad the switch is turning into a jrpg machine
Played Ultimate to get the 2 Link's Awakening spirits. Done with that.
Waiting for Pokemon SWSH and Spyro Reignited Switch.
If it was on facebook it’s probably true.
Total bullshit.
Now that shit's going to get here. But where's this? Someone contact NISA or whatever.
>facebook
so this is what Yea Forums has come to huh
they should take their time
man, i'd give anything for a new smt like nocturne
Gonna have to get back to you on that. Backlog keeping me from looking things up. Finally finished xbc2, tho. Long but satisfying
necrodancers is -80% (4$)
cuphead is -20% (15$)
this is a good start, you can add undertale if you like (10$)
It's rumored but not announced. So no one knows if it will even be a thing, or if it's smaller, faster, or what. Or if so, when.
Get the fuck out of here, cocksucker.
Nintendo always makes new revisions of their handhelds, see GBC, GBA SP, DSi and New 3DS (or 3DS XL, 3DS had a lot of revisions). But don't expect anything like Xbox One X or whatever, it will most likely just have a bigger screen and a different design (maybe it'll be handheld-only, for example).
This is fucking genius
Might get it just to have a physical copy
Probably not for $60 though, maybe if it goes on sale
I'm pissed they're using the broken playstation textures instead of the Saturn ones.
Wrapping up my 2nd playthrough of BotW on master difficulty. Beat the last guardian needed a couple days ago and exploring the map rn before setting out to Hyrule for the last time to face Gannon. Fun times.
This weekend I'll probably 420 blaze it and start a campaign in Thea.
Plan on buying Mana collection with my next paycheck. Holding off on Contra till I can get one of my brothers to co-op with me.
Did they get porn actresses to voice this fucking game or something? For $2 and I see people in Yea Forums talking about it so I thought why not? This shit is fucking terrible so far.
For all this time I thought Grandia just had really weird art style with intentially weird texture placement.
make sure you get a hackable one at least user
Thank you lads. Have a good rest of the day.
just bought pic related
>Want to play DD
>Don't want to buy it again for 30 dollars
FUCKING CAPCOM
>It shouldn't be that hard to rack up $300
it isn't, I can afford a switch, but not the games;
I know I can hack it, but I'm to lazy to figure it all out at the moment
What the actual fuck?
>can afford a 300 dollar Switch but can't afford any games
Bullshit
>beated
You can mod the switch version if you have CFW as it uses the PCs code so accepts all non SSE plugins and mods, in fact because it's not restricted to BethNet or vanilla assets its the single most moddable version of skyrim on consoles and thats why i kinda want FO4 on switch too
He's kinda right. Fucking BOTW is still 40-60 dollars while Days Gone, a 1 month PS4 game, is 20-30 bucks
how is it bullshit?
2 games = 120, which is almost half the price of the console.
trading games isn't really an option in my country either since Nintendo isn't popular here at all unlike Playstation
it's very easy to trade PS4 games too;
I bought RDR2 on release for $64 and then traded it for 56 a month later. I won't be able to do this with switch
youtube.com
Holy fuck this game is awesome
I just love Hyrule Warriors. Always been weak vs Dynasty Warriors, but all the different weapons, skins, etc. really make me happy and keep me coming back.
I am lookin forward to FE3Houses tho. I do like FE. And VN. Fuck you, waifu is laifu.
I am waiting for the 4K version of this fucking console to even get a release date, that's what I'm waiting for
There you have it Personally, I think PC is better since you have more capability to have some amazing modding with lightning, higher texture and such which Switch will have issue rendering. But if you want to go for simple mods, do what that guy said.
I honestly don't mind that they never drop in price because I always get them at launch, feels good knowing the games retain their value.
You don't have to buy all the games at once, buy one every few months if you need to. Also there are plenty of sales on the eShop if you're patient.
Anyone tried the last remnant?
>4K Switch
lol never gonna happen
$30 is fucking nothing, do it.
>playing
nothing, I'm fucking bored
>waiting for
FE3H
They already announced that it is going to happen, actually
HIREEEEEEEEEE THIS MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
Gonna get a Switch tomorrow, probably with Odyssey and might check out Cadence of Hyrule. Already pre-ordered Super Mario Maker 2.
What size SD card should I get if I intend to buy mostly physical with a few indies downloaded?
>playing
Xenoblade 2 and BoTW
>waiting for
Nothing, really.
Fake news
It took me until the end of Chapter 5 to finally figure out exactly how the combat worked.
buy it bro. It's worth it
Playing Tales of Vesperia, thinking about getting the Mana Collection, but I got I am Setsuna and Lost Sphere on my backlog.
Also thinking of Dragon Quest Builders while waiting for Dragon Quest Builders 2 but the first one is still retardedly expensive.
this
I'm on chapter 8, still not completely sure how it works either.
If you're only intending to download indies 64 should be enough but I'd go for 128 anyway just to be sure. It's pretty cheap.
where the fuck are the snes games
Are you guys retarded? It's simple as shit to hit the buttons at the right time and then chain elements with blade switches.
Go balls out and get a 256 gig sd and never have to worry about storage space
youtube.com
It was a long journey but, we're home lads.
Yes.
>not MUA3
>not FE3H
You need to do better.
About to finish the Ace Attorney trilogy. Really enjoyed it and I’m for sure gonna play the other games afterwards.
Still playing Xenoblade off and on, plus Shovel Knight. Switch has mostly taken a back seat for now until Three Houses, though I'm really looking at that sale and debating on a good couple of games.
I got crypt of the Necromancer for like 3 bucks last night. Still gotta download it though. Seemed like a steal but I honestly have no clue what the game is about
>playing
Hollow Knight, thinking about starting Final Fantasy VII for the first time
>waiting for
Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest XI S
I was excited for Astral Chain but I decided to spend the money I set aside for it on a Pro Controller
That's my biggest complaint with xeno2.
The combat is satisfying but it feels so brain dead.
Being able to cancel arts into each other was the icing on the cake. It's like the game is saying "come on just hurry up and use your arts and get some orbs going. No I don't care what they do"
It's a rougelike but everything moves on the beat to the music
It's pretty good but prepare to get your shit kicked in over and over.
stay away from the internet between starting and finishing FFVII. Way too easy to spoil the game for yourself. There are probably people in this thread who'll tell you everything just for their own amusement. It only takes 20-25h to beat, just go all-in and have fun.
Do you think he knows about Aeris dying?
You mean spoil things like Snape kills Dumbledore
What the fuck
Why is Dragon Quest Builders so fucking expensive when its Sequel is out in a month?
I liked it 2bh
I've seen so many people recommending Hollow Knight on Switch in particular. What makes it so special on the Switch?
Notice the lack of shadows from the Playstation version too. The remaster doesn't have them either.
nintendo games almost never go down in price
Hollow Knight is pretty mediocre but everything is better on Switch due to comfy handheld mode option
There were no compromises made in porting it to switch. It still runs smooth, still runs at native resolution, has all content and doesn't have switch tax. You get the exact same experience as other ports but portability and a pretty wide choice of controllers when docked. Honestly I think there are much better metroidvanias, but every switch owner should give it a shot unless they already own it on other systems.
It’s necroDANCER
Third party stuff generally does. Fucking Nips would be less expensive to pirate the game data and buy a game card myself.
Who said that?
Fucking why would you “remaster” a broken port and not even fix it? This is not what remastering means.
I do.
If they're not fixing the issues then they ought to rename it "Grandia 1&2 Cashgrab"
You are retarded, reports are of an upgraded hardware revision, but not even closely near 4k.
I left it at home while traveling in frnace and after a month I'm starting to miss it. Gonna try and beat octopath and xenoblade this summer, might also start a new botw save.
>putting your switch in the furnace
I seriously hope you guys don’t do this

playing through Disgaea 1 complete finally. was hoping to see 2 get released but 4 will do. Still have to go through 5, I'm gonna get so burnt out of these games again.
Currently playing Aggelos. An absolute unappreciated gem. Its like a mash-up of Wonderboy III and Zelda II. Love it.
