Just have the Oxide time trials and the relic races. Kind of don't like the relic races since I don't like having to plan routes to pick up crates and sometimes I just barely miss the crates hitbox which is annoying. Is it possible to platinum tracks without getting all the crates?

funfact: speedrunners got sapphires in relic races as they didn't get the -10 sec thing. I can show you. Does this need to be fixed? I personally hated relic races more than crystal grab as you had to carefully aim for each crate instead on focussing max speed.

What's even the context of Yaya? Even the CNK characters have -some- level of lore. Yaya is just... A random character to help fill the girl quota, and doesn't even look like a Crash character (which again, the CNK characters were at least done by the same Naughty Dog designer)

I almost have to agree with this. Relic races are like the retarded little brother of time trials. It's not about driving well, it's just about collecting all the boxes. In a lot of levels this basically means that the game rewards you for playing like a fucking idiot if you just collect all of the time boxes. I've literally had relic races where I've missed a box so I've done a 180, backtracked to get a 1 sec box and then received the platinum relic because of the -10 sec at the end. It's ridiculous. Also in all tracks that have shortcuts you can only take the shortcut once because you need to collect all the boxes on the main track. In Sewer Speedway for example if you take the shortcut on all laps you'll actually get a worse time than someone who avoids it on two laps and drives in a zigzag pattern collecting all the boxes in the main track.

I doubt it. There was a clip of someone playing as Princess Coco and while she does lift legs during jumps, she does this sideways split that keeps the goodies still hidden under the dress.

My suggestion is that the relic races stay the same and I'm just going to platinum them all again while having fits of rage when playing some of the harder tracks like Papu's Pyramid.

They're fine, user. Time trials is about plotting out a line and doing it 3 times. Relic races are about plotting out 3 lines and doing them in succession.
Theres really no way to incentivize making 3 different lines other than giving you time saving that outpaces the normal optimal line

Slide Coliseum has been one of my top 3 FAVORITE tracks for many many years and now I've stepped into this reality where I seem to be the only person who likes it.

And I'm actually fucking triggered that in the favorite track poll Turbo Track and Slide Coliseum are combined into one as if they're the same track. Fuck off whoever made that poll.

I’m with you, user. SC is a ton of fun. It’s a technical circuit course that rewards perfect drive lines, and tire hopping can cut off seconds of your time per lap. I think the future stadium aesthetic looks great too. SC is more fun the more one understands the mechanics imo.

On the initial jump, you angle yourself in the opposite direction of the one you want to drift in, so when you start drifting the angles cancel each other out.
Then just maintain a low angle during the drift.

Gotta go fast. You typically have to be turning into the jump on your first power slide as soon as you hit the ice, and you have to be super precise when you jump. Some speed classes may not even be able to pull it off at all without an item.

I like the look of Twilight Tour, but I think it is a lot less flashy than most of the old CTR tracks were. Hoping that Prehistoric Playground is a little more in-depth. The egypt and arabian levels from Warped/N-Trance are great fodder. I personally want to see some more space levels, like from Crash 2 or Labs/Wild West from Wrath of Cortex

30fps kart racers are unplayable.

Half the fun comes from drift boosting, the other half comes from jump boosting. SC is completely flat, so you can only have half the fun compared to other maps.
It's also by far a disappointing as hell track for completing the game.
