Will this loss finally return PDX to their senses?
While that would be great, I can see them making one or two pandering updates going "pls come back, w-we're listening!" only to screw over its fanbase again.
I mean, man the guns for HOI4 had people waiting like, a year? And apparently, it made everything worse. I'm bitter that the ability to refit old ships is locked behind it.
Exactly how bad is IR? Was thinking of picking it up if I can find it for $10-$20.
Mana up the ass (way more so than in EU4), really bare bones experience, weird specific stuff like attrition being so incredibly high you'll often lose thousands of men marching across a couple of provinces seemingly for no reason. It's basically a shittier release EU4 with a different map.
Hahahahaha
Everything you complain about is your own fault user. If only you had the intellect to truly understand how paper and bird mana actually improve gaming experience. Now buy another DLC that will solve 10 previous broken game mechanisms and introduce 20 more.
It's okay for a base game. You get three fun games out of it until mid game. First you play a monarchy then a republic and last Rome. Game is empty and dead after you're a regional power. Tribe gameplay is pure shit and obviously it's empty as fuck. It's a $10 game right now.
There's quite literally nothing to do beside conquer and spam convert/assimilate everything.
You mean like in most strategy games?
With a fanbase like this? Not a chance.
Isn't that the guy that cried about an EU4 steam achievement because it showed a horse trampling the Polish flag and he started saying how his ancestors wouldn't approve of this?
The modding capabilities are great but there's no point in modding a ded gaem.
I pity the people who never played a good strategy game because they vehemently refuse to play old games. Even when they are thousand times better than steamy Johan's shit packed by Paradox.
>that
>good
just by looking at it I can tell you it's shit
>just by looking at it I can tell you it's shit
Like I said, you see old graphics and your knee-jerk reaction 'it's bad'. I guarantee that it's a better game than anything Paradox ejected from their bowels since EU3. It's a grand strategy game with actual gameplay and tactical combat. And its sequel is even better.
yeah its so good you could only find screenshots in german
>guarantee
Okay, provide me with a download link and I'll play it, fuck it. But despite your promises I just know it'll be awful since by the looks of it only one POP type can exploit a tile
wait, what is that exactly?
it looks like sid's collonialism, but with an even shittier interface
Imperialism I as filename says. This is Imperialism II and fixes unnecessary parts like several worker types. It's a better game overall.
old-games.ru
Link is for Imperialism II. You can buy it on GOG if you want.
>unnecessary parts like several worker types
holy shit ONE worker type? mate you're telling me that's good?
Stop shilling
>it'll be awful since by the looks of it only one POP type can exploit a tile
Make up your mind, pal.
90% of the paradox forums in the week of release were people bitching and threatening to murder johann
The mods just banned them all.
You first, Johan.
it's not bad but there's not a whole lot to do right now. it's obviously a framework to add increasingly complex expansions onto, which fine OK, but there's no expansions yet
They need to fix the nations ranks balance (Regional, Major, Global). Makes no sense that gaining a city and upgrading your rank makes you lose all your allies - makes playing tribal eveb more annoying than already is.
Imperialism I and II have more soul than anything paradox ever dreamed of. And they're abandonware.
Maybe it will return if enough people pay attention to it. Without competition grand strategy genre is in tatters and Paradox only gets worse over the years.
